well well well rubs hands evily... a long time ago ( 4 months ago ) i was disgustingly hyperfixated on tko for almost a year and then i decided to watch camp camp s5 then the max and tko parralells started to click in my head.. 'theyd shit talk their parents together' 'they both hate society' 'theyre both filled with rage' 'theyd totally blow something up at camp campbell together' SO i started shipping them because why the fuck not they get each other SO SO SOOOO WELL !!!! also this isn't specific to only 1 au i made , tobias ( tkos human name bc yk.. kaio and toby and dendy and everyone are humans in the cc universe ) showed up in like uhhhh 1 canon au , and like 3 non-canon little doodle/scenario ideas i had :3c the one canon au is law runners , toby and max became friends after they bumped into each other and they kinda started shit talking their parents after running away for a day ( details are fuzzy meh ) and then when max had to go into hiding , toby was CRUUUSSHEDD !!!! the other stuff is just cute little scenarios of 'what if bodegamen + dendy + toby as kaios twin were in the camp camp universe and they were in camp campbell!' that junk everything that i drew/posted on here is all my thoughts on this ( i think i don't remember ) alsooo punk max au , i think i mentioned he was a drummer ?? i don't remember but yeah he's in a band with toby and nanini ( i love her so bad ok ko fandom sleeps on her too much ) that's everything i have rlly :3c super ironic that you sent me this ask bc i JUST started thinking about toby and max again like literally 2 hours ago

AHAGFG NIKKI OMG i came on tumblr after doing a series of holiday homework related stuff and the first thing i saw was your answers to the asks about you and your husband and like AHHHHH please, reading about your life just made me feel happy i dont even know how to explain it,,,seriously

ig its just sometimes you get so used to reading all the 'cute' relationship-y stuff (idk what else to call it im so sorry T_T) in fics that you kinda just forget that often all this is inspired from real life. haha hi nanini! don't worry - i kinda get what you mean, but a lot of fics exaggerate the romantic bits when really, most of marriage and relationships don't involve dressing up and going on fancy dates or flowers and gifts. it's laundry loads and washing dishes, laughter over homecooked dinner and trading jokes over supermarket aisles. on a separate note - don't imagine yourself in another person's life - live your own! i feel like we can draw life lessons fr the ppl arnd us, and then it's up to us to chart our own course.

oh gosh, what stories do y'all want! im prob gonna open up another event for my next milestone (after i post requiem of a storm) and i hope it won't flop, but i'll defo write more domestic / low key romances then hehe.

also i cant type certain letters here for some reason and thats very scary because my laptop is ANCIENT and has already crashed once last year and had to be sent for mending which was a very uncertain and ominous process because well, if my laptop didnt get 'better' all my files and stuff would have gone poof and my schoolwork would hv come to a standstill T_T also, at that time one of my laptop's symptoms was not being able to type the letter 'p' so :0 so im copy pasting all my text from the google search bar ajhdygf im too lazy to open a doc and idky im telling you that🙂👌

Top Ten OK KO episodes

In the "Incredibles" movie, the bad guy Syndrome plans on staging a fight to become a famous superhero. And when he eventually becomes too old for that, he plans on selling his technology so anyone can become super, arguing that if EVERYONE is super... no one is.

"OK KO, Let's Be Heroes" has a different view on this. In the show, EVERYONE is super, so everyone are AWESOME!

"OK KO" is one of those shows that are so wholesome and fun that you stop thinking about logic and just accept this strange world of heroes and villains who takes inspiration from video games, comicbooks, action movies, mangas and more stuff hero-related. It has a feel of a game being played in a sandbox by kids who brought their random toys and are just going with it.

In the show, our main character is KO, a 6-11 year old kid who wants to become a hero. In order to get experience and be more familiar with the world of heroes, KO takes a job in a bodega run by his idol Mr. Gar. KO befriends Enid and Rad, the teens who works in the store as well, and assists them in running the bodega as well as defending it from destruction whenever the evil scientist Lord Boxman(who lives at the other side of the street) attacks the bodega with his evil robot children.

Yeah, it's kinda silly:P But in an awesome way.

Besides the humor, the creative character designs and the many references that will make you feel old if you get them, it is also the modern cartoon show that I think does the best relationships as well developing said relationships(sorry Steven Universe). Anyways, made this blog because I feel my main one has too much OK KO stuff, so I will start of this one with a top ten of the best episodes of the series.

Number 10: We Messed Up.

I HAVE to include this episode on the list since it was the first I watched.

Mr. Gar is out, and he has SPECIFICALLY told his employees to stay away from his office.

... So they go to his office. And breaks his stuff. The three friends must figure out how to stall their boss as well as how to replace the picture of KO's mom(that he for some reason has) so Mr. Gar won't be... disappointed!

I HAD to include this episode on the list since it was the first OK KO ep I watched. Also, a lot of lore was revealed in this episode, leading up to future episodes and storylines as we learn that Mr. Gar used to be on a superhero team with KO's mom Carol AND that Mr. Gar apparently used to be a masked wrestler. That, and the episode is just plain funny, mostly because of Mr. Gar being extra as heck!

Number 9: Whacky Jaxxyz

When KO gets introduced to the game and toy Whacky Jaxxyz by his cool classmate Nanini, KO jumps aboard the trend and even enters a tournament with Nanini.

Buuuut then they meet other people who play Whacky Jaxxyz as well and realize that the game's fandom is rather toxic.

And by "rather", I mean "VERY".

As a kid from the late 90s and early 00s, I can relate to this episode since I collected stuff such as Bayblades, Yugioh cards and such. I still feel cheated sometimes by the Yugioh franchise as well as being irritated by the fans of it who can sometimes ruin it for me. This episode shows how something fun can get ruined by both the people who provides it as well as the people who obsess over it.

Number 8: Let's Watch the Boxmore Show

When KO and his friends are about to defend the bodega against another robot attack from Boxmore, they realize that they don't have to lift a finger since the robots are fighting EACH OTHER. Wanting to know what is going on, Mr. gar gives his employees permission to use his monitor room since he has hacked the surveillance cameras of Boxmore, allowing them to see what is going on in the robot factory. Our heroes realize that there is a competition in Boxmore, EXTREMELY similar to a reality TV-show. KO, Rad and Enid ends up getting addicted to watching the "show", even rooting for their favorite robot and ends up quarreling about who deserves to win or lose.

I grew up in the golden age of reality TV-show and can recognize the stereotypes WAY too well, both the contestants as well as the fans who obsess over the shows. This was just such a stupidly hilarious episode to watch. And Christopher Niosi who voices minor characters was on the top of his game in this episode.

Number 7: My Dad Can Beat Up Your Dad

KO gets in an insult contest with another kid named Chameleon Junior. And like all kids, Chameleon Junior argues that his dad could beat up KO's dad. And this specific insult gets to KO since... well, he DOESN'T have a dad. So he tells CJ that he might not have a dad, but that his mom Carol can beat anyone up. The two boys part ways to get their parents to fight to prove who has the stronger dad/mom. Carol tries to teach KO a lesson about talking things out, and... yeah, things escalate when a godzilla-sized chameleon dad is involved.

I was tempted to place this episode on the number one spot imply because watching a very angry hand-to-hand fighter mom beat up a giant lizard was amazing. But the ending twist that is a reference to old Godzilla movies was clever as heck. Chameleon Senior is revealed to actually being a giant man in a lizard costume, kinda like how old Godzilla movies had a man in such a costume.

Number 6: T.K.O.

KO is frustrated since he still doesn't have powers like Rad and Enid and worries that he will never become a true hero.

But then he meets a shadowy figure who tells him that he can help him reach his true potential.

... Yeah, KO shouldn't have trusted the guy.

I kinda knew from the start that KO would end up having an evil side that made him powerful, especially since he looks so much like Ryu from Street Fighter. But the way his dark side(AKA Turbo KO) is introduced is actually rather creative. It isn't anger that makes KO go dark, it is a combination of a whole lot of negative emotions that appears when he feels insignificant. That means that TKO has much more potential than just being a little angry monster, he is all of KO's negative emotions, including sadness, frustration and depression.

Number 5: Red Action To The Future

One of Enid's friends is a timetraveler called Red Action. When Red is getting a call from her Power-Ranger like team that tells her to return to the future, Enid is too proud to tell her not to go, fearing that Red would think less of her for being "clingy." But all Enid gets out of it is that Red is busy fighting a war in the future, and whenever she sees her again, it is only for short visits, and Red has aged months and years every time Enid sees her. Red ends up having lived a whole life in what was minutes for Enid.

With a show like OK KO where timetravel is a thing, you can have episodes that tackles with friends who doesn't say things to each other due to a mix of pride and shame, then realize that they missed their chance and a lifetime has passed. Enid gets to experience this much faster since Red is in the future, so time is relative.

Number 4: Rad Likes Robots

After an intense battle between the bogeda workers and the evil robots, one of the robots named Shannon gets hit by lighting and then falls in love with Rad who quickly becomes infatuated with the robot as well.

So, yeah. This is the Romeo and Juliet episode. But unlike other cartoon shows, this one does Romeo and Juliet right, if you ask me.

Number 3: Know your Mom

KO's mom Carol is one of the strongest people in Lakewood next to Mr Gar. So it is sort of weird that she isn't a big-time superhero and instead just runs a fitness center.

When KO does research on his mom for Mother's Day, he finds out that she actually USED to be a big-time superhero. She was known as Silver Spark and was a member of the world's greatest superhero team POINT(Powerful Operatives Investigating and Neutralizing Trouble). But then she decided to quit the team 6-11 years ago. KO is horrified since HE is 6-11 years old, so he believes that he might be the reason to why Carol left POINT. So KO decides to call her archenemy and make him come fight her as the perfect gift.

What really sells this episode is Carol's old enemy Succulentus who is voiced by Jonathan Davis, the leading vocalist of the nu-metal band Korn. Most of his dialog has references to nu-metal songs, most of them I actually caught, making me feel old, especially since Succulentus is an old fart. Sure, he is old because he is a cactus, but it is still funny to be reminded of music you grew up with that is now considered "old".

Number 2: You're in Control

This was an awesome season one finale! Not only did it have an epic battle, it had been built up to through the whole season, making it that much more satisfying to watch. And it even had one heck of a cliffhanger that made me even more hyped about season two.

Number 1: Special Delivery

Enid and Rad are KO's best friends and pseudo older sibling. But they are also each others' best friend. So "Special Delivery" is an interesting episode since it focuses on Enid and Rad relationship without KO involved.

Someone has ordered a package from Mr. Gar's bodega, so Rad and Enid have been given the task of delivering it while KO stays in the store. The one who ordered it is in a town far away, so it is roadtrip time!

Rad and Enid actually has fun being together while driving to Neo Riot City... But Enid ends up having too much fun on Rad's expense.

Best friendship episode of the whole series since it focuses on communication and what the lack of it can cause since you can end up unintentionally hurt someone who is important to you. Also has the awesome and cliche song "I Wanna Get Out of Here" written by William Gibbons who is songwriter for the band Kara's Walk Home.

La construcción de la nueva galería filtrante en la naciente del Canal San Carlos está en su tramo final. La obra sumará un 50% más al caudal que actualmente llega a los productores de Caroya. Esta semana, autoridades municipales supervisaron la naciente del Canal San Carlos, lugar donde -en pocos días- quedará culminada y en funcionamiento la nueva galería filtrante que permitirá duplicar el flujo de agua que transporta hasta los distintos sectores productivos de la ciudad. El intendente Gustavo Brandán, junto a la secretaria de Gobierno Paola Nanini, el secretario de Servicios Públicos, el subsecretario del área Guillermo Sangoy, y otros funcionarios del Gabinete, recorrieron esta singular obra. Se colocaron más de 80 metros de “caños filtros” de concreto, que permiten captar el agua de las napas subterráneas y transportarla hasta los túneles que le dan forma al Canal San Carlos. Esta galería filtrante, ubicada a unos 3 metros de la superficie, permitirá duplicar el caudal que actualmente ingresa en la naciente del canal. A su vez, aportará un 50% adicional a todo el sistema, contando las tomas por gravedad y las que se hacen a través de bombeo. De esta manera se garantizará un mayor caudal a todos los productores caroyenses y se disminuirá el gasto en energía que requiere el encendido de las bombas. Los funcionarios se mostraron emocionados mientras recorrían el lugar y destacaron que, aunque la obra era prioritaria, habían tenido que interrumpirla en 2018 durante la grave crisis económica que vivió el país. “Es un homenaje a ‘los nonos’ que construyeron el Canal San Carlos ‘a pico y pala’, obra que sigue funcionando después de casi 100 años”, destacó el intendente Brandán. Okay first off, it just made me appreciate my parents a whole lot more. Recently I've had some downs with them (me and my habit to get distracted with messaging friends being the one at fault primarily) and idk i just felt hurt and annoyed (more so a week ago but not so much now) and its just....when I read your fic i just instantly had a lot of flashbacks of me and my parents and what all they do for me and how not easy raising a fussy child like me was and i just felt so so grateful to have my parents yk.

And second, man the beginning was so painful yet so real. Like often when people write such scenarios they quickly make it fluffy by having one person forgive the other after they change their behavior for a period of time. However, the more likely scenario that i feel happens is that when someone feels cast aside and that hurt, only a week of acting better or helping them out more really isn't enough. It could honestly take years to heal. It hurts a LOT and makes you wish it didn't work that way but it does and I feel you captured that part of redeeming oneself -due to any reason- quite beautifully.

(fun story, i picked up the guitar in 4th grade, learnt it for a few months and dropped it cuz my fingers ached💀 i started playing it again last year after i made some band friends [im quite a competitive being so really, all i thought when i wiped the dust from my ancient guitar was that i had to master it and play as good or even better than them...they had been playing the guitar for almost 4 years pls what eVEN] and i had to take a break for exams but i seriously started it again this year and i plan to continue it as much as i can...BUT

bruh sometimes you look at other people playing the same instrument and then you listen to yourself play it as a beginner and it just :( also, i have barely 3 more years until college and ig im just worried abt my profile and stuff too and just ajyfgetfege its all such a mess💀👌 im sorry for ranting a little ahdyfg i meant to express my awe for you KNOWING HOW TO PLAY 5 INSTRUMENTS OMG AND YOU WRITE LIKE A GODDESS TOO PLS AMAZING)

Hello Nanini!!! it’s so nice to see you again! 

haha yes - i drew a LOT of inspiration from my mom when i was writing this story, her angst and the hardship she must have suffered bringing up two daughters along with a full time job (and a difficult mother in law) was something i really tapped on. i mean tbh i think a lot of people have fraught relationships with their parents (because parents are human, are some rly aren’t meant to be parents), so im grateful for mine and i’m glad to hear you have lovely parents too (we all go through some angst with our parents in our teenage years, don’t sweat it, it’s only normal)! 

redemption for kuroo was tricky to write. i definitely tried to build it up, show him put in a sustained effort, and show them fall in love and build their relationship again without either of them saying “i love you”. it’s...a very asian thing you know? to say i love you without saying i love you - again, something i drew on from seeing my chinese parents grow up yknow?  

i was worried at first, writing him as neglectful - was worried people might say i’ve mischaracterised him, but i feel like there’s the potential for him to lose sight of his family because he’s so ambitious. he doesn’t do it intentionally - he just has a bad case of tunnel vision imo. 

HAHA i’m not talented! my parents signed me up for piano lessons as a kid (again, very stereotypically asian), and i ended up studying music as a subject in high school so i had to pick up a second instrument (clarinet). then i joined the orchestra and picked up a few more instruments there, mostly out of necessity cos my main instrument sounds....most like a bagpipe so there are some songs that wouldn’t have a part for it! anw - practice the guitar if it makes YOU happy, and don’t compare yourself to others, its unhealthy and rly your only competition is yourself! 

as for college applications - breathe. take it one day at a time, albeit with an eye on your overall goal. i was such an anxious teenager, worrying about college exams and i sorta regret not giving myself the space to truly find myself and have fun. so i’d say, while you should work hard and work smart, don’t forget that you’re only young once, so live life and explore what makes you happy - it’ll stand you in good stead for happiness further down the road <3

RANDOM RECORD WORKOUT SEASON 5 Battle 8 Zipgun: 8 Track Player (Side B) Vs. Wall of Voodoo: Call of the West (Side 2) Zipgun: 8 Track Player (Side B) Zipgun was a punk rock band from Seattle Washington active from 1991 to 1994. The original founding members were: guitarist Neil Rogers (The Derelicts, Glazed), singer Robb Clarke(Trids, RC5,The Burnz), bassist Mark Wooten (The Zanny Guys, Noble Firs) and drummer Dan Cunneen (Final Warning, The Obituaries, Nightcaps, Sugarsmacks). Consisting mostly of various Derelicts (literally, the former Sub Pop band) Zipgun was often, like the name implies, improvised firearms. Unpredictable and alcohol fueled punk rock 'n roll. In fact, there is a famous Seattle legend that Neil broke his guitar over Robb's back at their debut gig. They burned quickly and from both ends, putting out a slew of singles and two LP's mostly for Seattle based EmPtY Records. This is their first LP. It starts off with "Cool in the Cell". Well produced, fast and furious-better call Ludicrous. (#seewhatididthere) Mostly standard issue riffage. "Third Prize" is a straight forward rocker and "Feel It Wearin'" is a 180. Slower and driving, and almost has a Screaming Trees vibe. Droning, drowning, drudgery. "Can't Think Straight has the boys returning to basics. This would actually be a good warm up band to see live, drink of choice in hand. "Ten" is a song about Pearl Jam (# seewhatiddthere) just kiddng. They finish strong with "Chase the Ace". It has a killer bass solo to start it all off. I hear mainly influences like The Fluid, and Fluf. More adrenaline than Eddie Spaghetti on sped. Gruff, nasty vocals. Associated acts include, but are not limited to : the Derelicts, a Gas (Huffer) and oil (midnight) mix, with some Mudhoney to burn the Fumes. Maybe even a little Sinister Six. Buzzsaw guitars with the occasional Rock 'N Roll leads. Recorded by Jack Endino for what it's worth. Wall of Voodoo: Call of the West (Side 2) Wall of Voodoo may be the first band to form out of a business. Wall of Voodoo got its start from Acme Soundtracks, a film score business started by Stan Ridgway, later the vocalist and harmonica player for Wall of Voodoo. Acme Soundtracks' office was across the street from the Hollywood punk club The Masque and as the story goes, Ridgway was soon drawn into the emerging punk/new wave scene. Marc Moreland, guitarist for The Skulls, began jamming with Ridgway at the Acme Soundtracks office and the soundtrack company morphed into a new wave band. In 1977, with the addition of Skulls members Bruce Moreland (Marc Moreland's brother) as bassist and Chas T. Gray as keyboardist, along with Joe Nanini, who had been the drummer for Black Randy and the Metrosquad, the first lineup of Wall of Voodoo was born. The band was named Wall of Voodoo before their first gig in reference to a comment made by Joe Berardi, a friend of Ridgway. Berardi was listening to some of the Acme Soundtracks music Ridgway and Moreland had created in their studio. When Ridgway jokingly compared the multiple-drum-machine- and Farfisa-organ-laden recordings to Phil Spector's Wall of Sound, Berardi commented it sounded more like a "wall of voodoo" and the rest is history. They toured with similar acts Oingo Boingo and Devo, whom they sound most akin to. They are probably most known for their MTV hit, "Mexican Radio"- considered a one hit wonder of the 80's. It has Stanard's (yes, his real full name) weird vocal patterns over basic looped drums and synth blasts. It really is a great tune, and I WILL cover this in a band one day. How many songs use a lyric to talk about barbecued iguana anyhow?!?!!? "Spy World " follows and has a cool spy theme (duh). Oddly, or not oddly drenched in reverb. "They Don't Want Me" has nasty -distorto-riff centric leanings. Darkwave all the way. "On Interstate 15" is a great instrumental jam (makes sense once you know the Acme soundtracks back story) with a western theme. Piano driven (#seewhatididthere). "Call of the West" is actually surprisingly minimal for a title track. Seems more like a statement piece. Also, I would like to thank them for being a stand in sub, as originally slotted here was the album "space freak" by Sinkhole -until I realized I had done that already in season...3? WoV are Devo in nature, but a different mutation (#seewhatididthere) (#devofansgetit). Weird new wave cowboys. Pioneering (#seewhatididthere) (#icantstopwiththepuns). This seems like it would be on the soundtrack to that steampunk western from about 12 years ago. So Zipgun played just under 8 tracks, and took 19 minutes to blitzkrieg through 6 songs and burn 135 calories. They earned 8 out of 18 possible stars. That is 22.5 calories per song and 7.11 calories per minute. Wall of Voodoo felt the call of the west and burned 153 calories over 5 songs and 21 minutes. They earned 10 out of 15 possible stars. They burned 30.6 calories per song and 7.29 calories per minute. Mexican radio? More like Mexican RAD-io! Wall of Voodoo wins! Listen for yourself! (also i saw your rambles on your exams and all and i just want to say, mOOd and that ikrrr like i could kinda relate to you even tho i dont have exams for a while,,, like a month fml T_T i feel every student can relate to the exam rambles regardless of their subjects or time of semester etc)

I feel like exam ramblings are a relatable thing for most students during the year whether its a smaller assessment or a large essay or exam, and idk its easier for me to talk about it on here than to my irls yk? i will still continue to apologise for how much i talk about my exams and work on here though </3 I wish you luck on your exams next month!!
