A childhood sweetheart, Miss Lisanna Strauss. (人◕ω◕)

When did they meet?

Among Fairy Tail's current generation, they all arrived at the guild in the mid- to late X770's. For the most part. Natsu arrived in X777, and the Strauss Siblings came to be part of the family in X778.

Whereas Natsu grew leery and terrified of Lisanna's older sister, he forged a special bond with Lisanna as kids. (人◕ω◕)

Happy's egg fell from the sky, and Natsu found the thing, determined to hatch it, believing it to be a dragon egg. (人◕ω◕) Naturally, Lisanna-chan invited herself along to help care for it... And act as a sort of mommy to Happy when he did hatch. Happy might not have been the dragon Natsu wanted, but soon enough they all became one happy family~.... For the most part. (人◕ω◕) ... Lisanna-chan did get these weird ideas into her head sometimes, as noted by Natsu's reactions above.

As a young boy, Natsu didn't always appreciate Lisanna, at least on the surface. Yet even so, he did love her in his own way. She became a precious friend, much easier to get along with than that blockhead Stripper and pole-up-her-butt Erza. Sometimes they went out on jobs together. Sometimes they just camped out together with Gildarts and Happy.

Until that fateful mission for the Strauss Siblings... all was well. But when it did arrive, and Elfman lost control, he wound up... killing Lisanna. Or so they all thought. Elfman and Mirajane were both devastated as Lisanna died in their arms... Elfman resolving to never use his Takeover again - too scared of losing control. And Mira just... lost her powers. Relegated to being a barmaid and becoming a much kinder, gentler person that more openly treasured her friends and family in the guild.

Meanwhile the Earthland Lisanna was sent to Edolas, unbeknownst to everyone... The Edolas Lisanna had already died on a job, and that's who perished in Mira and Elfman's arms. But for the Lisanna that Natsu and everyone else knew... She was seemingly trapped in Edolas forever, no idea of how to get back. So Lisanna made the best of her situation, bonding with the Edolas Fairy Tail.

And then through a miracle, Lisanna-chan returned to Earthland with everyone after the Edolas debacle concluded. She hadn't seen her family and friends in Fairy Tail for a few years, and while she felt terrible about leaving her Edolas siblings without their sister... Lisanna was glad to be home. She was welcomed back with open arms... And soon enough the S-Class trials were upon them, then the Tenrou Island team missed out on seven years because of Fairy Sphere protecting them...

When did they grow closer?

This is a little trickier question. (人◕ω◕) From X778-782 when Lisanna "died", she and Natsu became quite close. But then coming back in X784... she didn't get as much on-screen time with Natsu. In a subtle way, their friendship seemed to have taken a hit, at least with Lisanna not joining Team Natsu, not even on the occasional job.

... But I have my theories that despite what we were shown, Natsu and Lisanna's bond was as strong as ever. (人◕ω◕) Returning home after 2 years, Lisanna had a lot of catching up to do with everyone, especially her siblings... Team Natsu was always on to the next adventure, and Lisanna-chan couldn't focus on them exclusively... But even so~...

Natsu was still special to Lisanna. (人◕ω◕) She picked up on Erza's dancing habits, spinning Natsu around. And she remembered having ideas of marriage with Natsu, as evidenced by that moment during the Grand Magic Games~...

... Not to mention that jail cell scene in Tartaros. (人◕ω◕) Natsu's only shared a cell with one other girl in Fairy Tail... But more on that one later.

The point I'm laboring toward is that despite what we see in the main series, there was plenty of room for Lisanna to come trodding back into Natsu's life at any point after returning. The S-Class trials did happen, and they were technically rivals then... But they had different opponents during that arc, and there was a lot going on. Then they missed out on seven more years. Once that blew over, I'm sure they shared some time together, whether or not Lisanna also spent time with Team Natsu.

At some point she must've found out that Natsu erected a grave for her at the spot they helped hatch Happy together in a hut... Lisanna might've felt bad for worrying him like that, for worrying everyone. But even so, she's not gonna let them treat her like glass. She's strong in her own right, and Lisanna wants to protect everyone, too~... So like her sister Mira, most of her time with Natsu is spent with him when he gets back from jobs, catching up with him and rekindling that bond of theirs~... It's not that hard. (人◕ω◕)

When does friendship turn to something more?

The answer is anytime, really. (❋•‿•❋) However, if I had to take a stab at a more concrete time... I'd say when Igneel died. Remember what I said about making this series having fanfic in its veins...? Well, it begins to kick in now. One thing that's always rubbed me the wrong way about everyone splitting off after Tartaros is that some people never seemed to try harder to stay in touch with certain others. In this case... Lisanna and Natsu. Sure, Natsu had training on the brain... And Lisanna was there when Makarov disbanded the guild.

... But Lisanna knew the dragons perished. She knew how much Igneel meant to Natsu. Lisanna would have been among the first to track Natsu down and give him comfort. She was one of Natsu's first serious friends, and she wouldn't have wanted Natsu to be alone after losing the father he tried finding all of this time. Naturally, Natsu would be dragged along with the Strauss Siblings during this year-long guild hiatus. Because Lisanna-chan isn't the greedy type to hoard Natsu for herself. ... Unlike certain others. (❋•‿•❋)

Natsu, Lisanna, Elfman, and Mira could get strong together. Although Elfman miiight be a little defensive of the Dragon Slayer getting a little too intimate with his sisters. (❋•‿•❋) But it's not like he can say "no" to Lisanna, who wants to cuddle with her Pyro~... In this time together, he could hear about what the siblings went through during the Tartaros arc. While Natsu might punch Elfman or something to that effect for choking Lisanna, he'd know that it wasn't Elfman's fault, and the guy was feeling bad enough for all four of them, especially after he blew up the guildhall.

Natsu would also hear about Fairy Tail disbanding... And train that much harder so they could all come back together a year later. (❋•‿•❋) But in terms of him and Lisanna.... This year together is an excellent period for them to become a couple. They'd have Mira's blessing. ... And a little more, but we'll hear about Mira-chan later. (❋•‿•❋)

Even though Natsu's instincts are to protect Lisanna, he knows she's strong enough to stand on her own and have his back. Happy still views her as a Mommy, too. (❋•‿•❋) And after Alvarez blows over... Perhaps Lisanna-chan makes good on that childhood dream of tying the knot with her dense Pyro. \(❋•‿•❋)/ She does have to work that much harder to get him to understand romance, but I feel after a while Natsu would mature in his own way and roll with the dates and eventual marriage scene.

... Not to mention the eventual "mating like rabbits" scene. (❋•‿•❋) Lisanna is Mira-chan's darling sister, after all~... She's petite. But she also has L E G S~... \(❋•‿•❋)/

The Apothecary Diaries

What, we are talking manga now on this blog?

Of course!

Ever since I fell into a Maomao/Jinshi shaped hole on Crunchyroll, I have been taken hostage by this story. Needless to say, I immediately went on to read the manga and found myself captivated even further - so much that I am actually shipping Maomao and Jinshi, and those who know me know that me shipping a straight couple happens once every ten years. But the chemistry between them- oh, where could I possibly begin!

But, as always, first things first.

Synopsis: The young apothecary Maomao grows up in a brothel and lives with a physician whom she regards as her adoptive father. On her quest to find new herbs, the young woman is abducted by human traffickers and sold to the Imperial Court to work as a maid. Soon, however, her skills as a healer and her incredibly sharp wit attract the attention of the eunuch Jinshi, whose true identity is a well-kept secret. Soon, Maomao finds herself in the very midst of the intrigues of the court as the personal food taster of the Emperor's favourite consort, and it is there where the mysteries begin...

Truth be told: The Apothecary Diaries did not lure me in immediately. I had seen the manga in some bookshops, but the art style gave me the impression of "yet another shojo manga" and I did not bother reading the blurb. Then, I got a subscription to Crunchyroll and decided to give the anime adaption a try and-- here we are. Now that I have also read the manga and still follow it, I felt the need to give a review.

When looking for manga to read or anime to watch, I can be very picky. I am not easily impressed by what is currently popular and I need a story to grab me by the throat and shake me thoroughly, only to rip out my heart, tear it into pieces, mend it and put it back again. Most anime and manga that are currently popular in Germany are of the shonen genre, which is not really what I am into. But how would I classify The Apothecary Diaries?

What Natsu Hyūga has created with her Light Novels and now with the manga is a beautiful mix of romance, mystery, and comedy, embedded in a gorgeous historical setting inspired by Imperial China. Set at the Imperial Court, the reader is thrown into a fantastical world of pomp and splendour where everything, from things to food to women, is at only one man's disposal. What sounds like a classical harem trope is one only to a certain extent. The system of the court is merely described, not glorified, but also not judged. In that, Maomao is an excellent main character to follow as she mostly observes and makes her conclusions, only to state at the end of it: but it's not my business anyway. I am not sure if I have ever seen/read a main character like her before that draws such a strict line between her own life and the business of other people - perhaps she is a bit like Jane Eyre, but with a passion for poison. The deadpan exchanges she has with Jinshi definitely reminded me of the conversations between Jane and Rochester, minus the psychological manipulation.

Maomao could have easily become a Mary-Sue character with little personality beyond her enthusiasm for all sorts of poison. However, she is a strong-willed young woman with flaws that are entirely believable, such as her assumption that she might lack typical human emotion due to her upbringing. At the same time, she stays wary and follows the advice of her adoptive father to never make assumptions out loud, and to never ask questions, lest she might fall into something that is none of her business and might harm her in the end. She is aware that as a woman not following a traditional path, she must be even more careful, but at the same time, does not judge women that follow or even want a traditional life. Jinshi is intrigued by that, but also by her skill and her wisdom which she never flaunts, but only ever expresses as a passion of hers that she is not ashamed of. It is a pure joy to watch Jinshi grow fond of her, yes, fall in love with her for what she is, says, and does, while Maomao stays all the while entirely oblivious, not thinking of herself as particularly pretty or lovable based on her low social status. Said status does not bother her much and she does not attempt to change it even though it would be within her means to do so - her decision to stay away from what could become her birthright is entirely understandable for the reader and makes Maomao even more fascinating.

The character of the eunuch Jinshi is a masterful mirror of reader reactions to Maomao up until the point where his own story unfolds. Born at court to a mother belonging to an emperor and raised in a golden cage, his true identity is unknown to most beside a selected few that also keep his identity hidden. The purpose of this secrecy is slowly unveiled just as the reader learns of the weight resting on Jinshi's shoulders, and Maomao's appearance at court seems to shake him out of a rigour he has been subjected to for a very long time. Although everyone's favourite at court, Jinshi is alone in his beauty and Maomao, observant in terms of both plants and people, soon realises how lonely the man is and how deep the secrets run. After all, the man is far too beautiful to be a eunuch. But even here, she stays true to her credo of not getting involved in anyone's business unless she is forced to, even as the chance arises to learn the truth.

Especially noteworthy is that while the world of Maomao and Jinshi is a golden one at court, Natsu Hyūga does not shy away from depicting the horrible things that humans can do to each other. Various darker topics are covered: human trafficking, child abuse, rape, pedophilia, the exploitation of women and children in the name of royalty, envy, and the illusion of free choice. The world of The Apothecary Diaries is not a kind one to women - Maomao points that out, reflects on it several times and knows that she, by her gender alone, is viewed as inferior. It does not stop her from pursuing her goals, but it keeps her incredibly aware of her surroundings. Many times, stories like that fall into the trap of creating a female main character that is "not like other girls" and constantly belittles the women and girls that seemingly fit the picture. Maomao might not be a courtesan, concubine, noble lady, or consort, and she might not necessarily have traditionally female interests such as fashion and jewellery, but she never belittles the women around her for their interests or life choices. This is an incredibly refreshing take and speaks of the excellent skill of the author to create a female character that is special, in some ways The Chosen One, but also likeable, obscure, and true to herself.

The manga is still ongoing, and I have no doubt that the story will take the reader down many dark and twisted paths. As for myself, I am rooting for Maomao and Jinshi as well as for the vast array of lovable side characters such as Gao Shun and Ba Sen, the consorts, the courtesans, and many more. I am excited to watch this story develop further and I am glad that I clicked "play" on that first episode two weeks ago. What a jewel of a story I have found there, and what a joy it is to follow the story of the incredible, funny, and absolutely insane Maomao.

How do Natsue and Doppo feel about Katsumi literally being a member of the yandere harem? Or that the girl their son and themselves liked, who they'd like to have grandchildren with (can't wait to get the little bundle of evil), is the reason for the harem and happens to have multiple boyfriends?

The Burning Soldier (Fairy Tail Fanfic X Twisted Wonderland AU)

(Or: My attempt of hating Lucy Harem.)

_So you know the motip where Lucy got betrayed by Fairy Tail, then made her own guild and harems and got revenge? Yea, that one.

_One day, Yukiharu Shirokami out of boredom, read a fanfic with a motip like that. He then almost smashed his phone due to how cringe it was, especially the author buffed Lucy too much.

_He then later, got isekais into that fanfic as Natsu Dragneel, the main villain of the story. Yukiharu actually had a breakdown since he didn't know the canon storyline, only knew some of the characters. Fortunely his Unique Magic, Clockworker Lullaby was still working and unfortunely, he got transferred after Lucy left.

_Decided that he wanted to live in peace, he distant himself from Lucy or any of the main characters. He also found a way to keep Clockworker Lullaby working for a long time despise being in another body.

_Well, it doesn't work easily like that. Right?

Hi! Recently started rewatching Fairy Tail and yes, I think it’s becoming my hyperfixation and aaaahhhh, early Team Natsu owns my heart (I’m at ep. 39 and I legitimately burst out laughing when Natsu brought up Lucy being mad for rent problems if they didn’t hurry back and start working again, of all things, while being in the Tower of Heaven after having survived an Etherion blast and just barely managed to pull Erza out of a lacrima that would’ve deconstructed her flesh to revive Zeref. I love them so much).

Anyways I too would like to proclaim my delight when it comes to your headcanons! Please keep them coming! So many F.T. characters and relationships have so much potential but are never really explored in depth because there’s just so much other stuff going on like 24/7, and AO3 has a shockingly low amount of fics that aren’t harem or crossovers.

I adore Team Natsu! I love that no matter what they go through, they are able to bounce right back to their usual nonsense. It's such a cute reminder that no matter what they go through they will always be that cute little family we fell in love with in the beginning.

There's a lot of things that feel like they wanted to further explore in the series but seems like scheduling or budget wouldn't allow them to get to it. Like the whole Raven Tail thing. I feel like there was so much more planned that we never got to see. They were really hyping it up and then it was just dropped after one fight. I was expecting a full arc that explained how Ivan fell out with Makarov and crazy fights between the two guilds.

I'm going off on a bit of a tangent but I remember battle of fairy tail kinda set up for Freed to become a bigger character and a friendship (or relationship depending how you view it) with Mirajane and then it was never mentioned again. Or Cana with the S-Class trials and how she quit drinking and learned the value of her friends and then just went back to normal once they got home. Or like Loke and Aries, he sacrificed so much and protected her and we barely get any scenes of them for the rest of the series. I love the side characters so much and have kinda rewritten their plots in my head lol.

The Grand List To Prove Jaune Arc is a Self Insert!

AKA 'Watch me humiliate myself.'

1 - Jaune is the first male character of the same age group than our protagonist introduced in the show, giving him instantly a special status. He does so by helping directly said main protagonist, instantly strike a friendship over their social awkwardness and his goofiness.

Notice something...off about this point? How it's centered around when Jaune was introduced to the group, not his first appearence?

Well, that's probably because Jaune's first appearence was as the butt of a joke. The punchline. The place in a joke that usually shows absolute disrespect.

Our self insert, ladies and gentlemen!

2 - The second time he talk, it's literally to create another friendship, this time with the champion archetype of the show. At this point, he cemented is awkward goof personality that would usually go to protagonist type characters in shonen (exemple : Naruto, Natsu)

Yeah, see. The second time he talked was foreshadowing and didn't actually make friends with Pyrrha. He also lacks any kind of serious moments here (unlike Naruto) and isn't an already experienced and competent fighter (Unlike Natsu).

And speaking of Fairy Tail, we actually have an example of a character supposedly getting preferential treatment in the form of Erza, who despite not even being the female protagonist (Lucy) is constantly depicted as the biggest badass of the team who is constantly held up highly and respected, accomplishing seemingly impossible feats through sheer coolness.

AKA Everything someone like Jaune ISN'T.

3 - He is saved by his friendship striked literally minutes before then show a complete lack of basic knowledge of the lore. He become the de-facto ignorant character the basic lore is explained to (and to the public watching the show), a role usually done by Isekai/harem/SI/power fantasy main protagonist. It's even more flagrant because the existence of this role make NO SENSE in RWBY as the lore needed to be explained is way too basic to justify anyone not knowing about it and the show happen in a school setting, literally a setting you can dump your basic lore by making it a class.

Yes, a school setting. A SPECIALIST school setting. Meaning that explaining things like Aura to the class as a whole is pointless and a waste of time. Especially since major fights happen BEFORE the school is in session in the story, meaning you can't use the school setting to explain what is about to happen. Hence the existence of Jaune. This also completely ignores Pyrrha's character, someone who WOULD help out a person in need even after just knowing them.

Now, since you mentioned Isekai protagonists, I guess you should go on about how Jaune instantly becomes an overpowered badass who wins the hearts of everyone around him, right? You know, a stable in Isekai power fantasy so old that the modern predecessor of Isekai, Sword Art Online, had this in spades? So when's that about Jaune?

...Or is it that Jaune is often disrespected and looked down upon by others, including his own friends, something that NEVER happens in these stories?

In fact, let's go back to SAO since THAT'S what everyone thinks of when they think of a self insert/power fantasy/Mary Sue. Kirito is supposedly ostrachized from his fellow players but this is never shown. He is never truly challenged in a fight unless the opponent is cheating. He is regularly regarded with awe and inspiration by those around him. He is almost never vulnerable or weak-

You starting to see a problem here? How Jaune isn't fitting a goddamn thing that comes with what a person actually THINKS OF when they consider a self insert? How the stuff this person is listing is just what happens to ANY character in a story?

It doesn't get better.

5 - His next apparence at all is the beginning of an arc that is entirely centered on him, his role and leadership. And it's a festival between being the one bullied instead of Ruby which make a way better target, being comforted by said main protagonist, revealing he cheated to enter Beacon (an information that never result in anything outside of this arc), having the champion willing to train him and developing a 'special' power temporarily when he decide to stand up to his bully for the sake of his team.

Of course, this completely ignores all the times that the bully Cardin humiliates Jaune, how Jaune is insulted by his teammates, how Jaune's actions directly cause the conflict of the arc and isolate him from Pyrrha, how he is portrayed as in the wrong due to the more innocent Pyrrha freezing him out and how he is only in the right after standing up for Pyrrha and apologizing to her, showing that he was wrong.

All things that NEVER happen with those said Isekai protags. Or at least with the ones that do are regarded as NOT being self inserts.

6 - He is the one in season 2 to stand up for Weiss when Neptune ghost her, a role that would make way more sense to either Yang or Ruby herself. I'll add that being dense as a brick trying to romance the diva/princess archetype while being unaware of another character love for them is 100% certified SI protagonist energy

Why does it make more sense for Ruby to do this, who has nothing to do with this and has her own objectives during this arc? Let alone Yang, who is doing her own thing? And not Jaune, who has shown romantic interest in Weiss?

Also notice how Jaune being the butt of jokes isn't brought up again? Even though this arc has two potshots at him? COntext, what dat?

7 - He is constantly shown to have improved over all the other characters in battle

Another sneaky little trick- they don't bring up HOW Jaune compares to his peers at this point. Because the point here is that these characters get focused on and upstage their peers. While Jaune only ever shows improvement via doing the basics needed.

8 - He is the only one to actually have a romance in the first overreaching arc with, once more, the champion archetype. And end up being the only one to have an emotional reaction to her death and actively grieving for her. Following that, he is the only one to react to Cinder, Pyrrha murderer, emotionally. Not his team, not the one that see her murder, him alone.

...

OH GEE. THE CHARACTER WHO WAS CLOSEST TO PYRRHA REACTS TO HER MURDERER, WHEN PYRRHA PREVENTED HIM FROM HELPING HER FIGHT HIM? WHO WOULD HAVE FUCKING THOUGHT?!

It's not like Ruby talked about Pyrrha beforehand with, oh maybe, a farm boy. Or that we had a moment of the whole team mourning Pyrrha in the finale of the last Volume.

No, Jaune's a self insert because he's mourning the character he was closest with. Even though he does fuck all otherwise, the fact he gets ANYTHING. MUST. Be a sign he's a self insert.

Why not just call it 'manpain' and kill your credibility.

9 - Despite his grief, he is the one to give Ruby the emotional comfort in V4 when the situation turn bad. A scene that could easily be interpreted as the beginning of another romance story, this time the main one.

You mean the same scene where Jaune's entire mourning for Pyrrha basically turns into him talking about how great Ruby is. Something that, if there was a narrative about Ruby being a self insert, would have gotten jumped on? Oh how FUCKING wonderful. Not like these two are close friends whose connection will be completely forgotten in a Volume or anything, right?

10 - He develop a new superpower when one of the main team character get (grievously) hurt, a power that have nothing to do with V1 reflecting damage he was doing there and that is as special as it is non-sensical and mary suesque. It isn't just a heal power, which being unique in the group, once more boost his role of Deuteragonist. No, it's does that by boosting the magic system and superpower of his allies, which result in seemingly heal grievous damage on a character that doesn't have access to the magic power to have been able to get hurt in the first place. Complete full Power fantasy BS.

You know, which is why there are all those Isekais about how the super powerful protagonist can only support his allies. Oh wait, even the ones that claim that (like Shield Hero) ditch that shit and Jaune can ONLY ever help others win, never winning himself.

Mary Sue everyone!

11 - Since he is the only one to care that Pyrrha die, he is the only one to meet seemingly her family.

Translation: "Jaune had focus, that makes him a SELF INSERT! Because the show only exists when Jaune's on screen!"

12 - Despite his role as the goof of the group, he is the one MILF are interested in when he join Atlas huntsmen. Not the other Ace Ops, him, the 18 years old goofball.

None of whom were on scene, where Jaune just helped their kids and they offered food like MOST mothers would!

Put simply, by V7, he is the only protagonist to actively have an heroic role in his actions. He doesn't hunt but protect children instead, he doesn't fight but help civilian and his the face of the evacuation. Being the hero of the show, making his story the power fantasy of Miles

He's also regularly treated as a joke for most the show's running time, most of your examples came during the time Miles was at his LEAST active in the show as he was making Red Vs Blue, was treated as pathetic, had his role and relationships diminished as Miles became more involved, didn't even get an opinion on how Ruby (his supposed counterpart) lied unlike LITERALLY EVERYONE ELSE-

And oh yeah, is the ONLY RWBY character to be insulted by his voice actor! Yeah, Miles is the ONLY member of the CRWBY to mock Jaune, even saying that voicing him is drawing on his stupid, awkward teenage years. Real great Self Insert there!

Just like Felix! Remember Felix, the character made when Miles had COMPLETE creative control over Red vs. Blue? Don't he and Jaune act just so fucking much alike?

... Oh yeah, Felix acts NOTHING like Jaune. Felix is a selfish, amoral and smug shit of a villain. Which coinsides with Miles saying he likes acting VILLAINS more than heroes.

Face facts- Jaune isn't a self insert. he never was. That was an excuse you used because Miles was the easy target of the CRWBY. Because trying that shit on Kerry or Eddy resulted in them smacking you around. You're just coping at this point.

Beside Danganronpa Harem for our lucky boy Makoto, do you work on harem from other animes?

I do not. I used to be an avid Naruto Harem guy but I fell out with naruto broadly thanks to Boruto. I do support a Natsu harem but of course my main passion lies in the egg.

Some of my fave anime ships

No one asked but I'ma share some of my favorite anime ships. I have't watched every anime or anything but I have some that I just can't give up. I've never been the hugest shipper but there are some that just find their way into my heart.

Nalu (Natsu x Lucy: Fairy Tail)- currently rewatching so they're fresh in my mind. They have such a good friendship and they're so loyal to each other. Natsu is also incredibly sweet when he wants to be when it comes to her and she trusts him without hesitation. She jumped out of a window and knew he would catch her in time. Like... what??

Edward and Winry (Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood)- this is my favorite anime and I will rewatch it but I love that they've been friends since they were kids. They may not have liked each other from the beginning (romantically) but grew into it. The fact that she was his mechanic and he didn't let anyone else fit him for automail, or let anyone work on it... not to mention, I loved their arguments lol and I loved the scene where he tells her basically he loves her in his own way lol. "Equivalent exchange! I'll give you HALF of me if you give me HALF of you!"

NejiTen (Neji x TenTen: Naruto)- Obviously this won't really be a thing since Neji is dead 😭 but I feel like if he wasn't killed, they would have been together. Tenten was the only one Neji seemed to fully respect and trust on his team. They understood each other and I feel like he might have been open about his family with her. I also feel like because Tenten was an orphan and lived on her own, that she felt comfortable around Neji. Plus, Guy and Lee were so over the top that they had to lean on each other.

Inuyasha x Kagome (Inuyasha)- So I know these two get a lot of flack and I think the road to their romance was complicated but I really and truly believe that Inuyasha loves her. Sure, he might have had a hard time in the beginning because of Kikyo but if he didn't care about Kagome he wouldn't have tried to save her as much as he did. Plus, she was always to break him out of his demon spells. I love them lol. I was never a huge Koga fan so I would never support that ship lol. I'm not caught up with Yashahime so don't spoil me!

Atem x Tea (YuGiOh)- So this is an old old ship from when I was young but I always thought that while Yugi was one of Tea's best friends, she liked Atem/Yami Yugi. I really felt like they flirted lol. I rewatched it not too long ago and still stand by that lol. She was always super emotional when it came to stuff with him lol. She was emotional period but super emotional lol.

Senku x Kohaku (Dr. Stone)- I'm not caught up on the manga so no spoilers but I really love the anime and I'm down for this. Now, if it doesn't happen, I'm cool with that because they both seem so... uninterested in romance but they have a trust between them and I think she definitely likes him as of S2. He's so narrow minded on what he's trying to do that he won't notice his feelings for her and hers for him for a while but when he does, I think he'll do everything he can to ignore it. I think that tracks for him.

Kirito x Asuna (SAO)- Obviously they're together and nothing will come between them lol. I'm watching the current season of Alicitization and when Asuna and Alice kind of got into it over him lol had me cracking up. Kirito also has a harem but Asuna is the only one he actually has eyes for... though if it wasn't for her, I think Sinon would have a chance lol. But I love their relationship. They love each other so much that they will literally move heaven and hell to find each other... love them.

Marinette x Adrien (Miraculous Ladybug)- Not quite an anime... I want them to get their shit together honestly. I love this show lol. Their romance square is hilarious but this is what I want. I want the tables to switch, where Ladybug starts to look at Cat Noir differently, as well as her to apologize for how she treats him. Cat Noir deserves much better than what he is given. But also, I think the superior part of their square is Marinette x Cat Noir, since this is the only part of the square where their feelings don't get in the way lol.
