Hey! Thanks for the shoujo reccomendations, there were some I didn't read yet! (When sato Kun died broke me 😩😩😩)

If it's ok with you, I'm sending some hs recommendations of my own but the dynamics and pacing are a bit all over the place lol. But I really like all of them so yeah

Skip to Loafer (the pacing is yummy and protagonist is awesome. The guy is ok. There's anime!)

Yubisaki to Renren (mc is deaf and super cute and ml is hot. Dinamic is nice and art style is god like)

Megane, Tokidoki, Yankee-kun (ml is Chad and a brat at the same time)

Your Smile Is a Trap (dinamic the way I like it, a bit of wait till the romance starts tho)

The Guy She Was Interested in Wasn't a Guy at All (the girls are cool and hot and the art style is chef kisses)

Tsuiraku JK to Haijin Kyoushi (slow paced but call me Pidgeon the way I eat those romance crumbs)

Kanojo to Kare no Kankei - Heibon na Hayakawa-san to Heibon na Miura-kun no Hibon na Kankei

Sagesumu Shisen ga Saikou desu

Uruwashi no Yoi no Tsuki (this author only does bangers. Highly recommend)

Pink to Habanero (more cliched but I like the protagonist)

You and I are Polar Opposites (more focus on comedy than romance. Love all the characters. Love all the dynamics(

Kiyoku, Yamashiku, Modokashiku.

I Won't Fall for Him Just Because of His Face (the ml is a pathetic meow meow and mc loves it)

Tsuki no Oki ni Mesu mama (not a lot of (mutual) romance till now but I love the dynamic)

Sotodura Danshi no Shimizu-kun

God is Telling Me to Fall in Love (not such a big focus on a romance specifically but I really like the plot so I'm sending either way)

Mochizuki Sanchi no Yankee

Hayaku Shitai Futari

Furare Girl (art style is god like and the pacing is insane)

Honey Lemon Soda (this one got a specific type of pacing that only this author does. I really like it )

Kurosaki-kun no Iinari ni Nante Naranai (this dynamic is fucked up but I'm hooked)

Gozen 0-ji, Kiss Shi ni Kite yo

You mentioned in another post about reading shoujo manga... Can you list some that you consider as your faves or would highly recommend?

:D It's been awhile, but my faves were

Hibi Chouchou - Everyone's so cute and lovable. This is like, one of my all-time faves.

Skip Beat - This is ongoing and who knows if it'll ever end. But it's so fun. I guess I'll be reading this still when I'm 50 years old.

Hirunaka no Ryuusei - Yes, yes, I loved this one very much. I loved the art style.

Last Game - THIS WAS GOOD. yes.

Honey - I loved this one so much, I was looking up the Japanese scans just to write and add my own translations.... I didn't realize this was finished.

Nekota no Koto ga Ki ni Natte Shikatanai - I really enjoyed this one. Very funny and reminded me of when I read Kodomo no Omocha (Kodocha) when I was kid. That was also a good shoujo manga.

Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii - I liked this one. ...apparently it's completed??? I never realized. I have to catch up.

Akatsuki no Yona - ....this is still going, too. I stopped following this one I guess when I caught up to all the updates at the time... I liked it to whatever point I read up to.

Akagami no Shirayukihime - tbh when I first started reading this one and Akatsuki no Yona, I would get the titles confused. I watched the anime with my husband, and he approved this one.

Ao Haru Ride - I don't normally get second-lead syndrome and I usually cheer for whoever the main chara loves, but I unfortunately felt for the second lead really hard in this one :(

Love So Life - the main chara is so, so pure in this one. The whole thing is just so *tugging at your heartstrings*

Taiyou no Ie - I liked this one a lot too

Suki-tte Ii na yo (Say I Love You) - Yeah, this was good.

Vampire Knight - ok, yeah, haha, this was like a guilty pleasure. good stuff. maybe not a fave fave, but fun.

Orange - tbh this was small kine depressing, but it was good and it has a happy ending

Ookami Heika no Hanayome - omg this is still ongoing, too.

Fruits Basket - of course. who doesn't love this one?

Yamato Nadeshiko Shichihenge (Perfect Girl Evolution) - I think I bought all the manga books for this when I was in high school or something

Ouran High School Host Club - by far one of the funniest mangas I've ever read

Kenma au based off the manga Nekota no Koto ga Ki ni Natte Shikatanai, where you're a transfer student entering Nekoma high school in your second year and you walk into the classroom and your seat partner has a FUCKING CAT HEAD. You're a little smarter than Mikki is in the manga noticing pretty quickly that you're the only one who can see the cat head, and play it cool instead of immediately going in to rip his face off. You can't stay extremely collected though because HELLO and Unfortunately kenma is incredibly observant and notices the new kid glaring holes into his head whenever they think he isn't paying attention

Meanwhile, the previous manager of the volleyball team graduated last semester and they're in need of a new one, you quickly realize that Cat Head is the setter of said volleyball team and decide to apply in order to be able to spy on him collect more information in order to get to the bottom of this mystery. Kuroo recognizes you and That Person Who's Staring At Kenma All The Time and assumes that you have a little crush on him, being the meddling shit he is and also the captain of the volleyball team, you get accepted as the manager despite having no previous knowledge or experience with volleyball. Chaos ensues of course

Nekota no Koto ga Ki ni Natte Shikatanai: An Opinon

Probably spoilers?

So a quick summary so that people aren’t confused: Nekota no Koto ga Ki ni Natte Shikatanai is a manga that centers around Amane Mikiko who sees Nekota as having a cat face. Other people do not see Nekota’s cat face, they just see a really popular, handsome boy and when Mikiko realizes this, her curiosity is out of control and she can’t help but be more interested in him to figure out why he looks like that. The manga follows all of their adventures from 6th grade to their first year in middle school. 

What I love: 

This manga is a refreshing change from the typical shoujo because of our lovely protagonist, Mikiko. She’s a great combination of funny, energetic, oblivious, with a hint oddly rational. Though there have been times where her obliviousness gets tiring, she’s a very fun character and we get to see her go through a lot emotionally. I just love her character development from when she first started.

This manga is more than a shoujo manga: Let me explain While this manga shows emotional and mental changes, the characters are also physically changing. In all of my years of reading manga and watching anime (it’s been about 10 years?) I rarely see a manga that will show a girl getting her period with blood spilling (so far only this manga and Yona of the Dawn have, if there are more, please let me know). To me, this is a very big deal and I respect the author for putting it in because it’s a part of life and we can’t necessarily avoid the changes that our bodies go through.  

Also Nekota’s face is so funny. I love it so much. Just look at it!   

What people might not like:

This manga is a shoujo manga. It has a lot of cliches. There are love triangles and standard events (outdoor explorations, beach trip, school festival, Christmas etc), and some standard characters (hot popular guy who’s the rival, friend who falls in love with male protagonist, friend who falls for female protagonist). The manga does end basically with a confession. Now I don’t really see these cliches as bad things, but that might turn away some people from wanting to read it.  

To conclude: 

 I love this manga, it’s cute, funny, and charming. I love the balance between cute romance, comedy, and character development. It’s such a fun read and it’s completed so I reccomend that you check it out if you’re interested!

Someone...please...I’m desperate...tell me where I can get my hands on a translated copy of Koe Koi (Voice Love) by Doruru...idk since it’s a webtoon format if you can buy it or what but I’m prepared to fork out the dollarinos so please...inform me...it’s Nekota no koto ga ki natte shikatanai all over again...this faceless dude I must know the truth!!! There are only 15 translated chapters released but apparently 130 total and I’m dyinggggg here

So please...if it’s at all possible...please tell me...I found an untranslated version with all the chapters but my Japanese is super basic and google translate helps somewhat but also doesn’t and I can’t with it anymore...
