Okay so I know this fandom is basically dead, gone, and buried, but it's fall and after my yearly rewatch of Over The Garden Wall- I'm craving content!

Particularly, for my favorite character since the original airing almost a decade ago. Lorna! A little niche, but I loved her story and fleeting romance with Wirt, and would love to explore it! The primary idea I have would be some sort of AU where Lorna is cured of her ailment and is able to exit the unknown alongside Wirt and Greg. Perhaps she felt a little more bitter about Auntie Whispers not using the bell to cure her sooner, and decided she'd be better off pursuing her own future. Adjusting to life as a teen in the 80's rather than centuries in the past! Developing their relationship, sprinkling in some angst, etc etc. I'm honestly down for anything! Of course, we can also brainstorm and figure out other ideas for AUs, or even go for something more canon compliant. I'm just eager to play this out with anyone and everyone who connects! I tend to write between 3-6 chunky paragraphs, and I'm always weak for some good detailed writing!

Wirt loved spring in the Unknown, it was always so full of life and pretty. Animals were prancing around everywhere, everything was in bloom, and whenever he passed a home he could see the people inside doing their spring cleaning. He loved it.

He had decided to enjoy this lovely weather by sitting by Silver Lake with one of his cross stitch patterns, leaning back against the tree as some kids on the opposite side squealed and played. Today looked like it would be a good one indeed.

So... There's apparently an Over The Garden Wall Dungeons and Dragons campaign now!??

So I just found out there's a Dungeons and Dragons campaign based on Over the Garden Wall.

It's not called Over the Garden Wall but that's what it is. The way "I, Strahd" is Dracula and "Adam's Wrath" is Frankenstein's Creature, Crooked Moon is Over the Garden Wall.

There was a Kickstarter campaign for it in October but I only saw the sponsored ad for it for the first time on Facebook late this afternoon.

Even the introduction is just the intro for Over the Garden Wall reworded. A promo video for it had this as the voice-over description. "Somewhere lost in the shrouded realms of death lies a realm of endless night where long forgotten horrors are revealed to those who travel through the mist." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8uEj1WrSHao

Sound familiar? Well, here's the first narration from Over the Garden Wall. "Somewhere, Lost in the clouded annals of history, Lies a place called The Unknown. Where long forgotten stories are revealed to those who travel through the wood."

___________________ It's not even subtle. It also has the maypole with the Jack-o-lantern head like the one in episode 2 of Over the Garden Wall, Hard Times at the Huskin' Bee. The concept art features a werewolf-like beast similar to the transformed dog from the first episode of Over The Garden Wall. It even has the same, old, black steam engine train like the one that was such an important plot device in Over the Garden Wall. The antagonist is even referred to as The Beast and has horns or antlers. And seems to (again) be a cross between The Erlking and a Windigo.

It's so blatantly an Over the Garden Wall Dungeons and Dragons campaign that they even got The Blasting Company (who did the Over The Garden Wall soundtrack) to write the song "The Crooked Moon" used in the advertising. Pretty much the only difference is this realm is eternal night where The Unknown in Over the Garden Wall still had daytime. I'm not mad. Just very, very amused and intrigued. Am I the only one who noticed this is Dungeons and Dragons does Over the Garden Wall?!

Today was pretty good.

Did Meals on Wheels, was able to finish coloring my Halloween drawing...I started watching The Lost Boys, but the site I was watching it on starting to glitch out after a while, so I eventually figured I didn't care enough to watch the whole thing after all. I did rewatch the first of PBS Monstrum's videos on YouTube though, as well as starting my annual OTGW rewatch with Tome of the Unknown, so there's that.

I also decided to rewatch The Amazing Digital Circus pilot, because why not? :P

Welp, I head back to work tomorrow...though I have a meeting with my job coach before then--so yeah...definitely gonna talk to her about some stuff...

And of course, getting back to RPs :P

Enoch (he/xe): the black cat from Pottsfield, mayor of the town. Very kind hearted, tends to act as a father figure to Wirt. Cares very deeply about his townspeople and will do anything to for them. He is very powerful. He enjoys gardening and long walks

Inn Keeper (she/her): the keeper of the Inn. A little crazy but very kind and will give anyone food and bed if they need it. Loves music and baking

The Woodsman (he/him): a gruff old man who knows much about the forest and its odd ways of being. Always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Enjoys long talks by firelight and coffee, black

The Woodsman's Daughter (Margret) (she/her): very shy young woman who is very kind. Loves animals and painting

Frank Cipher (they/he): Bill Cipher's older brother and an ex to Wirt. Very volatile and a mess of emotions. Doesn't show up much because of Bill
