technically this is a bit early but whatever, it's spooky season!

last year i did 'reverse trick-or-treat' where i dropped some art of billy in different halloween costumes in the asks of some mututals and blogs i followed in the billy/harringrove community. i wanted to do that sort of thing again this year, especially since there has been such an amazing increase of fandom positivity, mainly led by @intothedysphoria who we all love.

so i'm compiling the list of all the blogs to receive this years 'reverse trick-or-treat' drawings. i think all of these blogs are amazing people who are a brilliant addition to our fandom -- so even if they choose not to respond to the asks, that's fine, but here's some extra love <3

Hey, mate. How you doin'?

Sorry, but I really need to talk right now, so I'll bother you. Last year, nobody remembered my birthday. Like, not a single person. And I mean, I was never a big fan of birthdays, but I like cake lol my birthday is on October, 31st, so it's been a while already. Did it hurt? Yes. But I made peace with it telling myself that I'm living in another country, so it's okay if my family forgot it. It's been years since I left home, and it's not easy to visit when we live in different continents. My friends? We are all busy, so it's obvious that we forget things like birthdays, right? I'm awful at remembering anything related to numbers, so.... I can't really blame anyone.

But the thing is, the same people who forgot my birthday keep on remembering everybody's birthdays. Everyday I check my messages and see congratulations to family members and friends... And just now my friends were planning a surprise trip to one of our friends... Like, they want to kidnap her one day and take her to Scotland (she's obsessed with the tv show Outlander and her biggest dream now is going to Scotland). We organized and paid for everything. We're gonna take her to the airport and be like "surprise!". And I'm happy to be able to do that for a friend. I really am. But I cannot help but feel a little bitter about it. Like, I didn't receive a single text! Why? And feeling this way makes me feel like shit, because I'm a horrible human being. Am I really jealous of my friend? And I'm so sad with this whole situation that I don't even want to travel with them. I don't think I'll be able to enjoy the trip... So it's better if I stay home, no? I don't want to spoil their fun.

PS.: I'm feeling terrible, so I was avoiding running guy. I haven't gone running these days, and I refused his invitations. I was kinda sincere and said that I wasn't feeling like socializing. He said that he understands and didn't ask anything. This morning he had a basket with snacks and flowers delivered for me. Did it make me feel better? No. But it was cute.

Anyways, thanks for bearing with my whining.

birthdays can always be strangely emotional even if you're not a big fan of them (which usually, in my experience, is bc no one ever really made an effort for them to begin with). you don’t even sound jealous—you sound hurt. which is valid. and you don’t have to gaslight yourself into thinking it’s not a big deal just bc you’re an adult or bc you “shouldn’t” care. the truth is, you do care, and pretending you don’t isn’t gonna make that feeling go away :(

it sucks when the people you love make you feel invisible, especially when you're the kind of person who shows up for everyone else. you're entitled to that disappointment.

as for the trip… if you don’t think you can go and actually enjoy it, then yeah, staying home might be the move. but don’t frame it as you “not wanting to spoil their fun” bc that makes it sound like your feelings are a burden, and they’re not. you’re allowed to prioritize yourself. you’re allowed to say “hey, i don’t think i’d have a good time, so i’m gonna sit this one out.” but i would say be careful and make sure not going wont make you feel worse in the end. the whole situation already feels isolating, so id see if staying behind might add to that

you should talk to your friends about how you're feeling my sweet. bc i don’t think proper friends would be comfortable forgetting something so important. either they genuinely don’t realize how much it hurt you, or they’re not the friends you think they are. and the only way to know the difference is to tell them. in the meantime ill add ur birthday to my calendar my love!!! send you the biggest message ever!!!!

(side note: running guy is a keeper. doesn’t push, doesn’t pry, just lets you know he cares. also never let a man who sends snack baskets go.)

i can’t believe i only just saw this, im so sorry nonny. i love rhaelle so much and it makes sooo much sense for her specifically to raise a huge targ hater. i definitely would in her situation. it probably wasn’t even intentional, granny just gets a little messy when she has wine (all the time). i know if we get any more info about her it will probably be “died in childbirth” but to me she lived a long and healthy life full of hatred for her family <3 hers is the fury indeed
