Touch Your Heart really touched my heart!!! It's such a heartwarming series 🥰🥰🥺 Kwon Jung-rok is the definition of soft vulnerable boi 😭🤌 the characters really grew on me. I loved it so much though there are some problematic sub plots but I am just gonna ignore them cause lee dong-wook and yoo in-na has such amazing chemistry. For me, the best part was when he takes her to a one person restaurant and teaches her how to eat alone 🥺🥺👏👏

Red rewatches Touch Your Heart: Episodes 15 & 16

I finally wrapped up this series a little while ago but life's been a little crazy and I just never got around to it. Oops. Also I got sucked into Pachinko...and Miss Marvel...and...let's just say I get distracted easily. XD

Anyway!!

Episode 15

Hooray! Yoon Seo and Jung Rok are back together! But of course they are. 😂

The fact that neither of them wanted to leave each other's side after getting back together was so sweet. ❤️ I thought it was cute how Jung Rok built a pillow wall when they went to bed together.

And then how he surprised her by cooking breakfast?! 😍

The hiding in the bathroom scene! 🤣🤣Too funny! I doubt many of Lee Dong Wook's fans were complaining about him getting soaked in the shower. 😜

The entire exchange with Jung Rok and Siwon thinking he's cracking up...taking up soccer...eating two servings of sushi...these guys...

Jung Rok getting all flustered and worried about the kiss in Yoon Seo's drama to the point of interfering and wanting to reduce it to a handshake? 😂

Ah...but then there was Dan and Choi...

The entire sequence of events that leads up to him spilling his heart to her...just...just guh. Legit when I first started watching this show he was the last person I expected to fall for Dan...so glad I was proven wrong. Their relationship is so beautifully sweet and pure. Choi...rather I should say Yoon Hyuk...has this deeply romantic side that is for the most part hidden by his boastful, sometimes narcissistic personality. I could easily seeing him being a Leo...gotta be the center of attention but also incredibly affectionate to those he loves. Moon Hee? Definitely a Pisces...fishies are dreamy and this girl definitely is. But getting back to my original point? These two are like two halves that make a whole...Yoon Hyuk grounds her proving she is deserving of being loved and she in turn adores him for it.

Much to the chagrin of their coworkers. 🤣 Or at least CEO Yeon.

Bonus points for a super adorable confession scene...seriously that was stupid cute. ❤️ Plus the way Moon Hee responded by more or less throwing herself at him? D'awww!!

Episode 16

This was an excellent finale and I'm happy with the way they wrapped everything up...and honestly my only complaint?

I want more of our lead couple being cute together and just more domestic cuteness with Moon Hee and Yoon Hyuk. Just these little breadcrumbs we're left with...GAH! Thank goodness I'm a fic writer. 😅 Seriously so many questions I still have! I want to know more about their families...what does Yoon Hyuk's mom think of Moon Hee? 🤔

Without spoiling things too much for any new viewers assuming you're reading this because you're honestly just curious about the show or perhaps bored I won't go into further details about the going's on of this episode but just say this...even into the finale I feel this show still kept things fun and interesting and honestly that's saying a lot. And also again why I say I wish we had more. It's also why I watched this show again. And why I'll probably revisit it in the future.

Synopsis :

My thoughts on this drama :

This is a drama that made we go What The Hell at the end. Like, really.

It's a masterpiece. As far as modern, cheabol themed dramas go, this is by far one of the very best. We're again dealing with some big money revenge plot but it is so well executed! Song Joong Ki aced his role. I'm still stuned by his performance.

Highly recommended if you wish to enjoy a fast paced, well built story with interesting characters.

Touch Your Heart / Reach of Sincerity (2019)

I really liked this show. It was fun, quirky and cute with a few heavy moments to keep the show grounded. Not a headliner, but something you can put on and just hang out with for an hour or so and still enjoy.

What Worked

Yoo In-na carried the show. She was just a super cute ball of charm, and all the scenes with her and Lee Dong-wook (who not exactly grumpy, but definitely uptight) were great. This was the happy version of the same couple from Goblin, and I was there for it. The supporting cast was great as well, though only Oh Jung-se's performance was super memorable for me.

What Didn't Work

This show is not very realistic. Most of the time that works, but once in awhile a plot line or a scene will kind of fall flat. Also, I personally didn't like the Choi Yoon-hyuk / Dan Moon-hee pairing. The actors were fine on their own, but a bit too much together.

The Performances

Yoo In-na as Oh Jin-shim / Oh Yoon-seo, AKA "The Talent". Yoo In-na was so much fun to watch. She is just a really great comic actor who knows all about timing and has tons of charm.

Lee Dong-wook as Kwon Jung-rok, AKA "the Ace Attorney". It's funny how you can see him playing an angel of death in one series, and a straitlaced lawyer in another and they somehow end up being very similar characters. I still enjoyed watching him, especially when he was able to open up towards the end of the series, but the character felt very familiar to me after seeing Goblin.

Oh Jung-se as Yeon Joon-kyu, AKA "Fanboy CEO". I liked Oh Jung-se in this. His character was talking, extremely petty, and very funny. May favorite role for him since maybe IOK2NBOK.

Lee Sang-woo as Kim Se-won, AKA "The Bestie". He was billed as the second lead, but this felt more like a supporting role. I enjoyed him when he was there, especially his banter with Lee Dong-wook's character and the whole arc for him, but I didn't miss him when he was off screen.

Son Seong-yoon as Yoo Yeo-reum, AKA "Bestie's Ex". I liked this character, but the show didn't do much with the character arc, overall. Nice, but not memorable.

Jang So-yeon as Yang Eun-ji, AKA "Office Mom". I enjoyed seeing this actor again after her much bigger role in Something in the Rain. I don't like the arc they gave her, but it didn't really detract from the show, just kind of went nowhere.

Park Ji-hwan as Lee Doo-seob, AKA "Secret Poet". I liked seeing this actor, after watching him in Our Blues. I really related to this character, but they didn't really do much with him (other than a small love arc). Another case where they had a really good actor in a quiet role.

Oh Eui-shik as Kong Hyuk-joon, AKA "the Manager". It was fun seeing this guy play off of the other characters, but he was mostly there for comic relief and sometimes moving the plot forward. Not super memorable.

Everyone Else. The rest of the office staff was good, but not memorable. The guy that played the stalker / chaebol crook (Jay Kim) did a good job, but I was kind of glad when they moved past that plot line. I didn't like the "Black Widow" murder plot, but the actors did okay with what they were given.

TL; DR:

A charming romp with two amazing leads, and a good cast of supporting actors that didn't get much attention. But the fireworks from the leads were more than enough to carry the show.

1.) I actually take inspiration from many different love stories (for tragedy I usually go to “Moulin Rouge” Christian and Satine or Tomoya and Nagisa from “Clannad: After Story”) but lately I’ve taken *a lot* of inspiration from Kdramas 😆! Mostly from one called “Touch Your Heart”, it’s a sweet kdrama! So right now, for my fluffy fics, I use Jung-Rok and Jin-Shim from “Touch Your Heart” as inspiration 🥰!

2.) agwjwjwj oh nooo 😭!! I don’t know because I really love desserts…maybe a chocolate mouse cake? I rarely eat those (and they’re really good) so I think that’s what I’d have to choose personally 🤔! (I’m sorry to my other beloved desserts 😭!)

3.) Ooo there are so many fictional worlds I’d love to live in! But right now I think “Stardew Valley” would be the world I’d want to live in 😁. It’s a lot like our world but…calmer 😅? Like the world seem’s so relaxed (even though you do farm work, go mining, and that sorta stuff) it just…makes me want to live in that world so much 😭!

Sosyal medyada dolaşırken diziden ufak bir videoya denk geldikten sonra diziye başlama kararı aldım. Başlarken de hiçbir beklentim yoktu. Zira bir beklenti içine girmek tamamen zaman kaybı olabilir. İzleyecek bir şey bulamadığınızda zaman geçirmek için açılabilir. İzlerken sıkılmadım ama beni etkileyen bir şey de olmadı.

3 yıldır dairesinden temel ihtiyaçları hariç çıkmamış, insanlarla arasına mesafe koymuş bir hanım kızımız var Go Dok Mi  (Park Shin-Hye). Bu kızcağız sabah rutini olarak uyanıp, karşı apartmanda oturan doktor beyefendiyi stalklıyor. Onunla uyanıyor, onunla giyiniyor, onunla kahve içiyor, kısacası o ne yaparsa bizimki de onu yapıyor. En son adam işe gidince de kendi işine dönüyor. Evde editörlük gibi bir işi var. Bir gün doktorun kuzeni Enrique  (Yoon Si-Yoon ) ziyarete geliyor. Ünlü bir video oyun yapımcı olan Enrique karşı apartmandaki Go Dok Mi’yi fark edince hikayeye dahil oluyor.

Öndelikle dizide herhangi bir konu yok. Bir apartmandaki sakinlerin gündelik yaşantılarına göz atıp aralarındaki ilişkilere değinen başı sonu olmayan bir yapım. Go Dok Mi’nin kapı komşusu 3 yıldır kızdan hoşlanıyor. O da webtoon çizeri olduğundan dairesinde çalışıyor. Bekçisi, ev sahibi, kiracılar, karşı komşular derken apartmandakilerin hayatlarına burnumuzu sokuyoruz.

Ama söylemem gerek, bütün hikayeler çok yapmacık ve yüzeysel anlatılıyor. Klişeler bile klişe olduklarına kendileri utanmışlar. Bütün duygular son damlasına kadar abartılmış. Aşlar aşk değil, arkadaşlıklar arkadaşlık değil. Enrique karakterinin IQ su çok yüksek bir iş adamı olduğu söylenmesine rağmen geri zekâlı gibi hal ve tavırlar sergiliyor. Her şeye gülüyor, 5 yaşında çocuk gibi ‘banane banane’ tavırlar takınıyor. Hayat dolu enerjik bir karakter gibi yazıp, aslında altında büyük acılar saklıyormuş gibi yazmaya çalışmışlar ama o da olmamış. Yine de izlemesi yer yer keyifli bir karakterdi.

Bir diğer klişe aşık yan komşudan geliyor, Oh Jin-Rok(Kim Ji-Hoon). Çok zengin bir aileden gelip, ailesini reddediyor paşam. Neden? Belli değil. Gerek var mı? Söylenmiyor. Nerden geldiğinin neden geldiğinin bir önemi yok. Dizideki tek görevi platonik aşık olması. Son olarak da esas kışımıza değinmek istiyorum. Go Dok Mi karakteri canlandıran Park Shin-Hye’yi bu dizide tanıdım. Sonrasında birkaç dizide daha izlemiş olmama rağmen buradaki donuk rolünden hiç çıkamamış gibi hissediyorum. Hele geri plan hikayesi son derece boştu. 3 yılını kendini minik dairesine kapatmasındaki neden, büyük acılarım var tavırları o kadar komikti ki anlatamam. Uydurulmuş gibiydi. Sanki, bir şey yazmak lazım bu karaktere diye düşünüp, bu da böyle olsun demişler. Spoiler demeye bile dilim varmıyor ama, kızımız lisede dedikodusu yapıldı diye 3 yıldır böyle yaşıyormuş. Toparlamam gerekirse, genel olarak üç karakterden bahsettim ama dizideki bütün karakter bu tatta ilerliyordu. Gerçekten yapacak başka hiçbir şeyiniz yoksa izleyebilirsiniz. Kafanız boşalır.
