Cranial fluids, Devoured by Maggots Demo:
Found this band on Bandcamp and bought their limited run two track demo, absolutely loved it and the cover art. I’m sad it’s so short of a discography but definitely worth checking out.

--------------------------------------------
Like every year… I already wanted to return to my almost second home, which is Galicia. 1000 km of highway await me crossing my country for 4 days of non-stop! Concerts, good food, and a lot of nature from those lands. One more year of RESU!
Metal, Punk, Rock, Hardcore, and this year even DarkWave/Cyberpunk by the hand of Perturbator that I was dying to see!
See you!

APOSTANDO NO DEATH METAL “OLD SCHOOL”, ESTADUNIDENSES DO MOLDER LANÇAM O ÁLBUM “ENGROSSED IN DECAY” NO BRASIL

One of my hc is that Skwisgaar was born in Gothenburg and formed/played in one of his former bands in Sweden. Maybe Agnostic Priest? Cause other names don’t really sound like melodeath especially Financially Raped wtf is this Anyway, he would have played Gothenburg melodeath between 1996 - 2000 yk there were lots of oldschool Gothenburg metal pioneers at the time so his prior band could’ve become one of those pioneers if he’d kept playing in there. However as he moved to the US and joined Dethklok his guitar tone and style of composing melodies must have changed to more like American death/melodeath. Well Dethklok is great tho what a shame for Swedish melodeath fans like me to lose top talent
If you don’t get what I’m talking about just listen to these yeah my hc was the perfect pretext for song recommendations : much heavier guitar tone but smooth-flowing melody with some granpa’s guitar parts, I’ve really wanted to see Skwisgaar playing this type of songs ever since I knew that he is Swede. Also thought about him doing the neoclassical metal things but soon I stopped thinking due to his music dyslex-kia ha

if thanos and adam listened to music what kind do you think they would like?
I actually think King Crimson/Adrian Belew is a pretty solid pick for Adam by James Gunn lol, I love when adaptions lean into him liking rock music because of his glamrock costumes in the comics + his Counter-Earth days were inspired by the Jesus Christ Superstar musical so 60/70/80s rock definitely feels like something he'd be into. Some punk/psychadelic/gospel/folk influences sprinkled in... I also think he'd like jazzy/orchestral/operatic type stuff in particular 🤔 Queen, David Bowie, Electric Light Orchestra, Led Zeppelin, Grace Slick, Eloy, Quicksilver Messenger Service, The Electric Prunes, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Ghost, Apocalyptica, Stratovarius, Will Wood, Oingo Boingo, Dead Man's Bones, Starbenders, Rosegarden Funeral Party, King Dude, The Eagle Rock Gospel Singers, Amigo the Devil... Etc.
Thanos... They have very similar tastes in everything but I think he'd lean more into heavy metal/emo/industrial music. Oldschool love songs are very Thanos-coded to me too but! Nine Inch Nails, Slipknot, Tool, Judas Priest, Overkill, Heathen, Powerwolf, Archives, Spiritbox, Death, Rob Zombie, Lordi, Nightwish, HIM, Angelfish, Depeche Mode, Gazelle Twin, Slowdive, Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds... Debated not including it but I just know deep in my heart he would also unironically love Evanescence.
Anyway I thought about this so long and hard I made a playlist for your convenience. Youtube link here if someone prefers that :)
I'm sure they'd like classical music too but I know nothing about it so I've got no idea where to even start on that front. My roommate @niennasapprentice suggested Erlkönig though and I trust her judgement... It's a nice song. 🫡

AUTOPSY - Ashes, Organs, Blood and Crypts
Tumblr media

22, 40, 42
22. I feel like nuit noire is a bit ridiculous. In a fun way but still. Post-punk black metal about fairies with this guys vocals i mean...?
40. I am not counting like nu-metal bands i listened to at 12 years old as 'getting into metal' cause i wasnt that much into music back then in general not just metal. Not bc i am ashamed i listened to that but I feel like a lot of people who had nu-metal phases at 12 never got into more oldschool or extreme metal so it kind of doesnt count? Bands that got me fascinated with the genre at first when i was around 15 were Black sabbath, venom, slayer, judas priest, hellhammer, morbid angel, napalm death and (hate to admit that one, but ig i am not the only one) burzum. At first i liked some atmospheric black metal like deafheaven or agalloch or wittr, but! It was a short-lived phase, depends on the band, but its not that much of my thing it turns out. Then i started downloading shittons of old school thrash, death, grind and first wave black, then i got into doom metal and also crust and such. Yea
42. I cant think of a single band i used to hate but now i love when it comes to metal. For real. If the question was other way around i would find plenty. But i think something i hated when i first got into metal would still not be my thing now

Noisecore Techno: A look at one of the most abrasive genres in all the world of music
Noisecore Techno: A look at one of the most abrasive genres in all the world of music Do you like the sound of a dentist drilling into your teeth while you are stuck in their chair and can't get away?Or being pushed into an oldschool CT Scanner, having to endure the deafening noise it makes? The sounds of jackhammers while you have to pass a construction site?Or that of a jet engine during lift off? If you said "yes" to all of the above, we got just the right music genre for you:Noisecore Techno. It consists of noises that sound similar to the above mentioned, and many more things that bite the human ear.It also adds techno drums to the blend. But these drums then get distorted and / or sped up, until they sound like an ongoing train derailment themselves (and not so much like club beats anymore). But in all seriousness: Noisecore is a sub-genre of Hardcore Techno that started in the 1990s. As the name implies, it fuses elements of Japanese Noise / Harsh Noise with Gabber productions - and just like the Noise genre, it also profoundly draws on early Industrial music.Unlike most Noise artists, producers in this genre often rely heavily on sampling. The samples, usually related to industrial machinery, gunshots, explosions, screams, then get "distorted beyond recognition" to get the desired noise effect. The genre had it's heyday in the 90s and early post-millennium years. nowadays, it has somewhat fused with the ultra-speedcore genres. But dedicated Noisecore producers are still around, lurking in the underground. Together with Death / Black Metal infused Gabber, this is likely one of the most extreme, vitriolic, and nihilist form of Hardcore Techno - of any type of music, really. Only for the (extremely) Headstrong!
