Digimon Xros Figures Deckerdramon

I got them all! The whale is mailed! Let's go!!!

Y'know, I find it kinda funny that at the end of everything, I got the Korean Cyberdramon and the Chinese English Deckerdramon. None of the Blue Flare boxes match. Not that it matters, though.

The Good: A very interesting combination. I expected the treads to use the peg holes on the bottoms of Greymon's feet, but there's actually a very precisely cut set of indents for them. The transformation is quite simple, but the added arm cannon, and the bulked out legs do add a bit of somethin' somethin'.

The Bad: So Deckerdramon is a brick. You can't even open his mouth (I did so by pulling his head off). You can do "Float Mode" if you want to be funny, but this toy is really about the combination.

The Details: I added quite a bit of paint to this one, too. Attempting to go from snout to tail:

I added the silver stripe and teeth to the head, as well as the exhaust pipes on the back of the legs.

I panel lined the nostrils, green lights, missile launchers, as well as the grooves on the tail.

I used black on the pipes on the chin and the tip of the tail to create the illusion of depth on areas that are meant to be hollow.

I redid the eyes so they match the anime aesthetic.

I repainted the area around the legs blue to match the shoulders and painted the knees brown, all to match Deckerdramon's official art.

Overall, I'm just happy to have all of Blue Flare. And with Tuwarmon in my possession, and DarkKnightmon on the way, the complete line is within my grasp. I don't think I'll ever get my hands on the Wonder Fest OmegaShoutmon and ZekeGreymon, but who knows what the future holds!

I noticed something watching Digimon Xros Wars for the nineteenth time, it could be just a coincidence too but I'll ask. When Taiki was chosen to receive the Xros Loender and go to the digital world, he was accompanied by Zengirou and Akari, one of whom later became the general's best friend and the other was his childhood friend. This reminded me a lot of the story of Shoutmon's parents when they were young and MetalGarurumon, a young warrior with his best friend and his childhood friend who formed a very strong bond between them. Do you think this was one of the factors that contributed to OmegaShoutmon appearing in his fight against Tactmon and the reason why Omegamon chose Taiki as his representative and preferred that Akari and Zengirou stay in the human world in the second time that Taiki went to the digital world . To protect the boy's friends, just as he would his own? (sorry for the length of the question '^^)

OKEY, I loved your analysis and comparison! Comparing the story and friendship of Taiki, Akari and Zenjirou to that of Agumon, Kisakimon and Gabumon, I LOVED it. Oh, Akari and Zenjirou's presence definitely allowed OmegaShoutmon to exist, that's a fact. And that only Taiki and Shoutmon returned to the Digital World was because of the little energy Omegamon had left… But yes, surely the digimon also wanted to protect the other two children, since he already lost both of them, and he wouldn't want to. for Taiki to go through that. Oh, how I love parallelisms x3

I know I said I would never change Flynn’s line again but…well I had the perfect idea for how the Digimon partners could work in SMT

With the messiahs fighting alongside their Digimon, they evolve based on the main attack type you have been using since their last form. These also correspond to the vaccine, data, virus trio of types. Dex is referring to gun in this instance rather than the combined stat that handles physical and gun like in IV.

So I gave this a very Digimon Survive looking display. I used sprites to give it that game-like feel.

So…I remembered that Ryudamon exists. I don’t know how I completely blanked on that obvious choice initially 😅. My memory of its existence came back while I was replaying Hacker’s Memory. It’s pretty perfect considering it’s line can turn into a weapon for Flynn to wield.

Canoweissmon is not a data type but I think it’s perfect as an ultimate for Dynasmon.

The D-Brigade works well in the line considering they are trying to enforce their order much like the Monastery. Also they’re very blue like the Samurai 😅. I also think Brigadramon gives off similar vibes to Machinedramon which I like as a mega choice as well.

Huanglongmon still works well as the ultra considering it’s the master of the 4 Devas. In this case it’s being treated as free or NO DATA. I’m imagining in the Masakado fight equivalent he’s facing the Ruin Mode.

I can’t believe Goblimon and Titamon aren’t on the Vital Bracelet 😢. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

So yeah the chibi sprites are Titamon, JumboGamemon, and Arcadiamon (Ultra) because for some reason those are the most detailed sprites they have.

According to Wikimon, Bulkmon to OmegaShoutmon is legit. I don’t know why it is and Tankmon to Tankdramon isn’t. I went with OmniShoutmon mostly to transition to a more armored form like Alphamon.

I picked Alphamon because of the jogress opportunity. I can imagine that it was Akira’s mega. The jogress would only be usable after you unlock Flynn so the two can jogress.

Tankdramon is not data type but it’s the only ultimate that didn’t seem too weird of a transition between the other two.

I’ve also thought about Armageddemon but Arcadiamon is more humanoid so I thought it would probably fit better aesthetically coming from the megas.

I decided to do others later because I would need to overhaul the template since the other protags don’t have all three damage types. The Digimon Reference book and Wikimon are the MVP of trying to do this.
