I’m almost certain the portrayal of Aemond trying to murder his own brother and almost letting Rhaenys and her dragon get away because he’s busy targeting his brother (and king) is a result of his previous popularity among both sides of the fandom. I remember seeing posts after he was aged up in season one from fans hoping he’d switch sides and support Rhaenyra / team black instead and by weakening the greens from the inside that’s exactly what he’s done. Helped team black by destroying the greens, one of their dragons and their king.

Why is Lloyd the literal definition of those overpowered hybrid princess main characters in gacha life mini movies with a concerning amount of trauma

Lloyd is basically the legendary prophesied green ninja destined to battle the literal embodiment of evil when he was a mere child AND with a broken foot (spoiler alert: he won)

Not only that he was also homeless AND parentless for a portion of his life when he was a bratty child longing for the comfort of his own nonexistent family. Then he found out that he was the grandson of a god and was a part-dragon, part-oni, half human hybrid which is CRAZY work.

Bro could literally transform into a gold four-armed monster if provoked (but unfortunately the writers most likely forgot about that trait) AND WE HAVE YET TO SEE WHAT HIS DRAGON FORM MAY LOOK LIKE!!!

Sylus helps out A TONN on wash days. You don't even need to explain anything, he's automatically got your bag with all the essentials (combs, creams, shampoos, conditioner).

I feel like Sylus is a sucker for any type of braids on reader. He just thinks they look majestic 😍.

I know it's something mentioned before in headcannons about Sylus, but he just seems like the type to love a person with extra curves.

It makes him feel special knowing that he's fashion sense is slowly rubbing off on you.

Sylus also loves seeing you in clothes he picks for you.

Mephisto will be sent out by Sylus to just check in on you whenever you are not around (I'm pretty sure that's cannon in game too? During one of his phone calls?)

You get really agitated by Mephisto's constant pecking at your window at night but Sylus simply says, "What kind of boyfriend would I be if I never checked up on you?"

He would of course shower you with lavish gifts, no matter how much you get flustered by the prices (Sylus gotta show off that black card somehow).

It's mainly just Sylus's way of showing he cares. It's a trait he carried on from his previous dragon life.

Sylus isn't the type to be extremely sappy, but with you he fully drops his savvy business man persona.

Cuddle sessions go CRAZYYYYYYYYYYY.

Y'all can fight me on this but his favorite cuddle position is having you face him WITHOUT A DOUBT.

I think just the intimacy of it makes him happy.

He already thought of you as drop dead gorgeous but besides that he fell in love with your character, your entire being, your soul.

that would be perfect for ollie's gf to be a bear cub. i imagine she's clingy like a bear cub too, and it would be common for her to just scamper towards ollie when she needs some love, and to crawl up his long legs. unfortunately, more often than not, ollie would end up with the legs of his sparco racesuits and sleeves of his alpinestars fireproofs accidentally ripped up from her long claws. not that he minded, though. he would just pick her up both of his hands and give her a big smooch on her nose. at first, the prema manager in charge of racesuit distribution would be pissed the constant ruined clothing, but like everyone else, she would fall into the loveable bear cub spell and then spoil ollie's gf rotten. ollie has not only protective boyfriend instincts, but also fierce momma bear-like traits too. god forbid someone tries to harm his girlfriend- they always seemed to have their balaclava's ripped up and radio headphones cords cut before a big race!

i like the idea that paul aron has a songbird!gf. many of the f2 drivers joke that paul is like a princess with a feathery friend, just like george russell and his deer. nevertheless, he takes pride when his gf flutters around his head, singing the most beautiful tunes, or when she nests in the fluffy blonde ringlets on his head. when the jokes go to far, he knows that she doesn't hesitate to dive bomb the offending person and attempt to peck at their eyeballs.

it's not a secret that dino's gf loved dinosaurs. her phone case and background are pics of dinosaurs (she makes sure that a polaroid of her boyfriend is visible from her phone case at all times, though), she takes great care in putting up dinosaur string lights around the driver's room, and she knows every line from jurassic park. hell, even her boyfriend's name is dino. when she found out her special ability, she was over the moon. komodo dragons were basically mini dinosaurs! when she went out in the paddock, some people might have found her scaly, amphibious outer layer scary, but dino loved every bit. when he had bit of spare time from racing, he made sure to research every page on google and read every book on komodo dragons from cover to cover to make sure he could best take care of of his gf when she shifted. in return, she used her scary nature (and toxic/venomous spit) to piss off irritating reporters or touchy fans.

My Proposed Rewrite of the RTTE Episode Tone Death:

TLDR - Snotlout should've gotten a real chance at overcoming his """sexism""" and be actual friends with the other Dragon Riders (besides Hiccup in some of the later episodes). Therefore this episode has Snotlout and Heather becoming real friends

So, as all Snotlout fans know, he and Hookfang have a soft spot for baby dragons. They fought off the Titan Wing Monstrous Nightmare to save Girl Hookfang's eggs, they take excellent care of the Fireworm Queen and her babies, and in the mini comic Litter Sitter Hiccup literally says Snotlout has a soft center.

And going back to the Fireworms, we have Real, Canon in RTTE proof that Snotlout is exactly the kind of person who would sing to a baby dragon.

And yet, in this episode, the writers chose to make his gimmick of the week be faking a bunch of traits that Hiccup listed to try and impress Heather. And he's only interested in caring about Garff when he sees how dedicated Heather is about taking him in.

That's all fine, actually, as I would argue Snotlout views the Nightmares and Fireworms as "his" because of the connection through Hookfang, who is his dragon, so he probably wouldn't care about a random baby Death Song.

However, a Death Song is the only dragon that Snotlout could actually care for while not faking any of his (or Hookfang's) natural abilities. After all, he calmed the baby Fireworms by singing to try to keep them hidden from the Cavern Crasher and Monstrous Nightmare gel is perfect for getting out of Death Song amber. Snotlout is, funnily enough, the perfect babysitter for Garff.

So, my proposed rewrite:

This is a Heather and Snotlout centric episode. The others can have their songs still, but Snotlout is shown after each of them to be the best at keeping Garff content and very smugly frees the others from the amber Garff spits up after they each try to sing. Heather sees this and is genuinely taken aback by the non faked traits that Snotlout possesses and compliments him on his sincerity and vulnerability with Garff. And Snotlout is taken aback by that, because it is so rare that anyone gives him a genuine compliment (Especially a girl). The others react to that with interest and Fishlegs is freaked out, and there'd be a fight between the two over Garff (which is really the two of them fighting over Heather). All the fighting causes Garff to start screaming again, and Heather takes him out of the room with an annoyed look at both of them.

Hiccup plays mediator as he does, but not before Fishlegs directly accuses Snotlout of faking with Garff just to impress Heather. Snotlout storms off and thinks about that, having a one sided argument with Hookfang as they go to find where Heather is with Garff. Snotlout insists he's not faking, and talks himself through the fact that he actually does want to take care of Garff (I'm sure Mr Daddy issues here would love to heal his inner child by caring for something more than his father ever cared for him)

So once he finds Heather he gives a short Snotlout style half apology, tells her Fishlegs wants to talk to her, and that he'll watch Garff while she goes. Then he starts contentedly rocking Garff and singing to him. Heather lingers then, figuring that Snotlout was probably lying about Fishlegs and decides to talk to Snotlout instead. She decides, based on his reaction from before, to try complimenting him again.

"You're overbearing, and boar headed, and you can't read a room to save your life, but you always made sure I knew I was welcome wherever you were. In your own way. Even after I told you to stop a hundred times."

(Snotlout responds in a way that only Snotlout can) "Well not everything's about you, okay. Just because you're pretty and obviously head over heels for me; part of me did all that because I sometimes feel like the others don't really want me around. Like, if there had been any other kid our age to ride Hookfang against the Red Death I never would've gotten the chance to join. Who knows where I'd be now if they didn't forgive me every time I opened my big, stupid mouth."

"I had no idea. You always sound so completely sure of yourself, like you're a gift to mankind from the gods themselves."

"Yeah, well, somebody has to be sure of me. Nobody else is going to."

Then there's a moment were Heather sighs and shakes her head, to which Snotlout adds: "And you can never tell the others, got it? Because I am better than all of them, and they should remember that more often."

Heather laughs and rolls her eyes "I really do appreciate you taking care of Garff with me, he needed the home here as much as I did."

Unfortunately, Garff interrupts to start screaming again (as they both stopped singing a while ago) and Snotlout brings up the unfortunate reality that his home is in the wild with other Death Songs. Heather is sad but relents (which could actually foreshadow her leaving to be with Dagur and their people later) The episode proceeds as normal with them taking Garff to the adult Death Song, but the conflict has only Heather and Snotlout going back and forth with songs they know to try and find one the adult Death Song likes (To show them working and succeeding together as friends). It works, Garff is finally home, and Fishlegs completely expects his worst fear to be true that Snotlout has somehow stolen Heather's romantic interest away. he rushes up to where Snotlout and Heather are standing side by side, only to hear Snotlout saying:

"Now Garff is at home where he belongs, and we're free to go back home to the Edge."

"Yeah. And that's were both of us belong, Snotlout. No matter how many times you open your big, stupid mouth. Friends?"

"Friends."

At that does really mean a lot to Snotlout, who sort of has to assert himself as the best and most important time and time again. He was never as smart or strong or important or funny as any of the others, and his father had instilled the belief that you have to be the best at something to be liked. And now he actually did get to be the best at something while babysitting Garff, but Heather didn't ask him to be friends until after Garff was no longer in the picture. That meant Heather really did want to be friends with him.

And I think that would mean a great deal to Snotlout.

So, after that, Heather smiles at Fishlegs and he realizes Snotlout isn't after some idealized concept of a relationship anymore so he doesn't have anything to worry about as far as that is concerned.

It would also mean that the writers would have to come up with different things for Snotlout to be doing besides pestering Heather and Astrid after this hypothetical episode, which is a big reason why I think Snotlout has so many random funny bits in season 5 and 6 (Except for Snotlout's Angels, but that episode was shit and poorly written beyond the way Snotlout behaved). The writers didn't want him to flirt with Astrid now that she's officially taken (which is a whole other can of worms, but I'm glad for any reason that gets him to stop) so they give him a lot of of random shit to do instead.

In fact, a Snotlout that is officially (just) friends with Heather could have a lot of incredible moments with her as well (the singular line about them racing back in Family on the Edge makes me yearn for a reality where we got to see them in friendly competitions more often) and with the others. (Dagur and the Snothat debacle could be even funnier with a Heather that decided to be mischievous and wind them both up, or was the one to assure Snotlout that Dagur did secretly think he was cool too) Snotlout's serious and comedic moments with Hiccup are some of the best for both of their characters (Sandbusted my beloved) Return of Thor Bonecrusher is probably one of my top 5 favorite RTTE episodes because I am so desperate to see actual friendship between Snotlout and the other riders. Like, FOR THOR'S SAKE, we should've had any content where Snotlout and Ruffnut interact at all without Tuffnut stapled to his sister. (I get that they're twins and that's the bit, but I'm struggling to remember a single conversation that Ruff and Snot even have together. But really that's a problem with the writers sidelining Ruffnut in general)

ANYWAY. I started rambling at the end there... The point is, Snotlout had some great development in RTTE (More than even Hiccup I would argue, but that's a post for another day) but I would've liked to have seen him actually learning to get along with the other riders. And if they had set up a friendship with him and Ruff that would maybe make the stupid, lazy fucking love triangle thing from HTTYD2 more bearable. But I'm rambling again.

OKAY I CAN'T HIDE IT ANYMORE! It's Ayato! It's that damn Kamisato Ayato! And Thoma (who's his lover!) is having the time of his life with so many babies! 😂 The twins are a danger to society (They are Hiroki and Haruki) they are mischievous like their uncle Venti! (Ayato can't stand any of this...) Decarabian just wanted to join Dorman Port with Inazuma Port and things happened... He also demands heirs because the ZhongVen babies are not enough! (?) Poor Bard just wanted to be with his beloved personal guard, they are the ones who suffer the most! But in the end they have Cecilia, hehe~ I still don't know how Decarabian will react to that last baby...

To refresh the AU I leave a little summary!

In this AU Venti and Dorian (Bard) are twins! Dorian was born first so he's supposed to be the next king when Decarabian retires or dies lol (Deca is the dad here) BUT this AU is Omegaverse and omegas can't rule without an alpha! so Decarabian makes an arranged marriage for Dorian (At first I made him a beta, but I changed it to omega lol) he's initially set to marry Zhongli who is the prince of Liyue (Osial is the dad, he's evil!) BUT during a trip to Sumeru Dorian gets infected with a withered area and contracts eleazar disease (His joints are fucked up, he has a fever and he's unwell, you know) so Decarabian doesn't want his son to have that much responsibility and stress with his illness! so he names Venti the next heir to the throne and it's Venti who marries Zhongli! they must have descendants lol (At first they don't get along very well but they end up falling in love!) On the other hand, with the arrival of Zhongli to Mondstadt (Osial doesn't like Zhongli so he forces him to stay there giving the throne of Liyue to his other daughter, Ningguang) SO! Zhongli brings Dr. Baizu to help Dorian, he cant cure him for the moment but he does keep his illness stable and he is much better! Since he is sick he always has at his disposal his personal guard who is Brend (Knight) they fall in love after spending so much time together!! BUT THEN Ayato who is an important noble of Inazuma has been watching the twins for a long time, his plan was to get Venti but as things changed now only Dorian is free so he makes a trade deal with Decarabian who seeing that his son is better decides to prepare this wedding! Ayato doesn't really want to get married, he just wants the port of Mondstadt and some other things, but Decarabian forces them to have heirs (He wants to have more harpies, he's not happy that Venti's first son was a dragon! It's Menogias lol, then he has Xiao and Alatus (The Red Xiao) who are harpies) anyway, to sum it up, Dorian has a discussion with his father and confesses his love for Brend! Decarabian is willing to kill Brend so Dorian accepts the marriage as long as they leave his beloved alive! THE WEDDING IS VERY SAD, Thoma also suffers because he loves Ayato, and well, time passes and they have the fox twins but Decarabian wants harpies! so they keep trying until Emil is born! The good thing about this marriage is that Ayato does not force Dorian to leave Mondstadt, they take turns with their children as if they were a divorced couple omg. Also, it's funny that the twins adore Thoma and Dorian! They can't stand the poor Ayato 😂 On the other hand, Decarabian's favorite grandson is Emil because he is a mini Dorian with the same dark feather color as his grandfather 🥹✨

i had a question about hybrid babies

do they come out looking like the human at all? if so how much (like human traits, or simply the coloration, or just the aura/addictiveness)?

or do they come out looking like the monster parent's mini-me?

The monster genes are stronger, so the hybrid will look mostly like their parent except in the rare case they are more human looking. Hybrids tend to have larger eyes that are more endearing and human-like, their fur/feathers/hair is usually closer in appearance to their Human parent than their monster parent, and hybrids tend to be either much smaller or larger than normal for their species, but it also depends on the monster type of the infant.

Harpy hybrids tend to carry more of their Harpy parent's colors than the Humans, but still have large eyes and a few less feathers around their face and body. Centaur/cervitaur/drider types tend to have hair/fur/mane colors closer to their Human parent, but eye colors closer to their monster parent (excepting Kelpies who always have white body fur outside of water and yellow/green/blue colored body fur in water). Naga hybrids tend to have similar scale and hair color to their monster parents, but skin color and eye color closer to their Human parent. Nemean Lions have never had Human hybrid young, so jury is still out on how they would look as hybrids. Dragon hybrids look near identical to their monster parent, but their ears are just a little bit more rounded and their eyes just a touch larger than full dragons (they still have full draconic forms and humanoid forms despite being hybrids).

Elementals and Nymph Hybrids are near miniature copies of their Elemental/Nymph parents minus the more flesh-like texture of their skin as opposed to the way it would be on a full Elemental/Nymph. The skin is usually how you can tell they are a Hybrid paired with that near irresistible charm that they inherited from their Human parents.

As far as the addictive quality of all Humans and Hybrids, a direct 1/2 & 1/2 hybrid's addictiveness is half that of their Human parents. The further away from Human the hybrid descendants are, the less addictive they are to other monsters. Key examples being Neige and Vil. Vil is 1/12th human and is still put on a pedestal and has several addictive qualities, though nowhere near as intense as a full or half human. Neige is 1/10th Human and for that fact alone is more addictive than Vil, meaning no matter how beautiful or strong Vil is, Neige will still be put in a rung higher than Vil. The only way Vil could be put above Neige in popularity and beauty is if Vil had the Human as his mate.

Now, there are hybrids who came out mostly Human minus a few monster traits. The most famous example being the Little Mermaid Princess' daughter- Melody- who looked almost completely Human minus her salmon-pink merfolk tail in water. Out of water she looked fully human (other than her webbed toes). Little Princess Melody was considered the most beautiful merfolk to exist because of this mostly Human appearance. Most merfolk think Humans are the peak of beauty and try to look like Humans themselves.

I had an excellent question for you today, but I was in the middle of class and couldn't steal enough time to write it down, and now I can't remember what it was. 😭 I just remember that it was a good one. Ah, oh well.

Some random questions:

- If Helaena asked Jon and Rhaegar what their favorite bugs are, what would they say? If she asked them to hold a spider for her, would they do so?

- If a Volantene decided the best way to get to Jon and Rhaegar was to hold a hostage and thus kidnapped easier prey (Helaena, Jace, Luke, one of the babies) as a lure, how would the castle react?

- Are Jon and Rhaegar good swimmers? Would Daemon allow the Velaryon boys + Laenor to take them swimming? (Thus question is honor of my town being 99 degrees today, and me having to unexpectedly walk home in it. 🥵)

- Regret!AU, assuming Alicent is pregnant or will be pregnant very soon with Helaena, once she's born, does Viserys immediately look at Daemon with betrothal expectations?

- We all love Daemon's short hair; does Rhaegar ever have to cut his? If so, would Daemon or Jon cut theirs in solidarity?

- Princesguard tourney plans. Will there be a feast? Dancing? Obviously Arthur's not going to show up, le sigh. Will it also work as a harvest celebration, or is that separate/not happening within the fic? I may have said this before, idk, but I feel like a children's mock melee/duel/joust/archery competition/whatever could be a fun addition to a tourney essentially all about the children... or maybe a mini-mummer's play!? Or Rhaegar could finally sing/play the harp for people! Thoughts on this?

Speaking of, will other children/heirs be encouraged to attend this event and socialize with the royal kids? I feel like it should be the ball of the season, so to speak, lol. How often will there be a tourney specifically for selecting 7+ new guards for the royal family's children??

On that note, the princesguard tourney is the singularly BEST time to insert the small(er) small council. Just saying. Imagine the little table. The little chairs. The little marbles. Otto being all 🤯 when Aegon isn't playing as "the king". (I obviously want Jon or Rhaegar to, but it'd be so cute if they all insisted Jace has to, lol. Jon and Rhaegar and Luke because he's the heir, and Aegon because he's lazy and doesn't want the job, Helaena because everyone else is, and Aemond because he's outvoted. Aemond can insist he or Rhaegar needs to be the hand then. For balance. 😂)

Wow, the last question may have gotten away from me a bit. IT'S JUST SO MUCH FUN.

Favorite bug

Definitely firefly for Rhaegar. A fiery flying creature? Wholly up his alley. I could see Jon having an appreciation for spiders, honestly, given that they're excellent pest control for other crawlies that might cause problems for the Watch. Otherwise, perhaps brightly-colored beetles that aren't indigenous to the North?

Jon would be perfectly comfortable holding a spider. Rhaegar would be frozen in terror the whole while, clinging to the demands of chivalry (and stubbornness to match Jon's bravery) to make it through the harrowing moment.

Volantene Tactics

If what they want is the twins, going after one of their cousins is one tactic, but I'd argue it's a rookie move unless executed very well. Because if word reaches Daemon at the same time, he is going to sit on his sons to ensure they don't attempt anything rash. Rash behavior is his trademark! (Everyone else agrees that it's clearly an inherited trait.)

The smart move is to go after Daemon. He's infinitely more reckless with his own safety, easy to lure, and once you have him, he can't stop his sons from flinging themselves into the obvious trap.

But if they did go after one of the cousins, there would be quite an uproar. Jace is second in line to the throne, with Luke and Joff right behind him. Meanwhile, Aegon, Aemond, and Helaena have yet to claim dragons, so there's the very real fear that Volantis might seek to hatch more dragons with them. (Otto will muster every possible resource for the latter scenario, of course.) Meanwhile, could his younger children being kidnapped actually spur Viserys to give more than two shits about them? It's possible!

Helaena being kidnapped would probably be the greatest scandal, short of Jace, and pretty sure everyone would be frantic about her being taken.

Swimming

King's Landing is a coastal city, so I'm confident that Rhaegar would have had the very best swimming lessons. Jon meanwhile is a summer child, so even though the options in the North are...much colder, I have to think Ned would have anticipated his children frolicking in the same pools and ponds that he did as a child and thus taught them. (And if he didn't, surely Cat would have insisted for her own children, meaning that Jon likely tagged along.)

So I'd say that Jon is likely competent, with most of his lessons being "how not to drown" while Rhaegar is practiced in technique. As for the Redfort twins, it's a good thing they had Jon and Rhaegar's memories to draw from because you know Allard never gave a second thought to having them learn to swim, despite the presence of many a river and lake in the Vale.

I don't think Daemon's at a point where he's comfortable leaving them alone with anyone, even Laenor, but in the future, where the threat is less imminent, he might allow it after confirming himself that they are skilled swimmers. (He got a glimpse at their ability at the Giant's Toe, which is likely where all Targaryen children of his generation and the prior learned to swim.)

Regret!Helaena

Quite possible! Viserys is hoping for more prophecy babies from Rhaenyra and Daemon, but he's not certain it works like that, so he also has to guard against the possibility that it's just the twins. I think he'd hedge some, wanting to see if Daemon and Rhaenyra have a daughter or two first themselves. But he'd be speculating for sure.

Short-haired Rhaegar

I could see the potential for something incredibly comedic (a mishap/mischief that Jon is involved in that forces Rhaegar to cut his hair), or very dramatic (cutting his hair in a symbolic moment or to free himself from someone grabbing him by the braid). Rhaegar has no in-between with his hair. Either way, it is such a tragedy that Daemon and Jon absolutely join him in solidarity, because he looks so distraught when one of them gathers their longer hair up.

Princesguard Tourney

I haven't plotted out the entire event. The timing does somewhat coincide with the harvest celebrations, but slightly after per a remark from Aegon in an earlier chapter. Some lords who had planned to come for the harvest feast will likely stay longer, and some who had not originally planned to might come early so that they're present for both events. I may shift things around, depending, but for now that's likely what's going to happen.

But yes, plenty of lords will be jostling to have their heirs socialize with the royal children, especially since, as you mentioned, it's really the event of the decade--or more, given that this is an entirely new royal order of knights being founded, essentially. And they're hoping to perhaps leave behind a few children as companions for the princes/princesses.

Jon would love planning some martial events for the children, even though he'd trounce all of them. Maybe he'd try to put together a pre-teenish (10-12-year-old) bracket that he could compete in to be on a more level playing field.

And if Rhaegar has his say, there will be some harp playing at the very least!

I am always tempted to insert the small(er) council into Resonant! It'll be a matter of seeing if, tonally, it works. I could see it as a small side story at the very least that happens "in the background" of the planning. But it does have interesting political elements to it, especially if/when Viserys gets involved.

Otto is gonna hate the way Aegon constantly passes on the role of "king."

I think there is far too much fantribe hate on here. There are quite a few fantribes out there that have fun designs and lore and it's fun to make your own character for them. Having restrictions can make designing more fun because it forces you to think creatively. They also come with a community of people who also enjoy the tribe.

Making fantribes closed allows for the owner to manage them more easily and make some money for their creation. So many fantribes have tons of thought and effort behind them, and people want to support the creator. People don't buy the really expensive adopts because they think it's the only way to get a candy inspired dragon or whatever. They do it because they want to support the tribe/artist or because they really like the specific design. I've also seen tribes do adopts to give to charity or pay for the owners disability aids or their college or medical bills.

The tribes I like also have ways to get them for free, through raffles or events. One tribe that I really like has had this event where you draw other people's fantribe characters so that you can get MYOs (make your own, for those who don't know). It's super fun because the whole community gets involved and it's like a mini Artfight!

I really don't get people being like "you're making money off an existing IP!!!" or "that's copyright infringement!!" or whatever. Because like. Have you heard of fan works in general?? Making money off of fantribes is no different than profiting from canon tribe adopts, or WoF OC commissions, or WoF bases, or fanmerch, etc. etc. etc. All of that probably does violate copyright law or whatever but most of the time companies don't really care. They're not really losing profit because Greendragon64 bought a SparkleWing adopt for 300 DeviantArt points. (That example is made up) It seems odd to condemn fantribes for making money off of the WoF IP while endorsing fanmerch and the like which do the exact same thing. It feels like people really just aren't personal fans of fantribes (which is perfectly fine) so they grasp for a reason for them to be morally wrong or hurtful. But really, fantribes aren't hurting anyone. You don't want to pay for them? You think they're too expensive? You think a certain tribe is uncreative or too restrictive? Cool. Don't interact with them then. Make your own unique characters with whatever traits you want. You can literally draw anything! There's no need to hate on those who do like them, or make "knock off" or "off brand" fantribe characters out of spite.

Wakfu The Great Wave - Chapter 14

Dathura !

Her chara-design still catches me off guard, even after two animated seasons. Her appearance changed so much between the various comics, the OAV about Ogrest, Wakfu (the animation & webtoon). All the versions are gorgeous, but I have a soft spot for the Wakfu one, even if I still miss the leaves on her head.

Those leaves were one of the rare traits all the Divine Dolls shared. It also acted as a reminder of their raison d'être. They were 10 "pin-up girls" created for the sole purpose of seducing Dragons so they'd lay more Dofus. Dathura was one of the six Divine Dolls who successfully wooed their designated dragon and got them to lay a Dofus (Aguabrial; first Turquoise Dofus).

However, this Season 3 design has so many aspects that show her nature as a Divine Doll.

The sutured mouth corners reminded me of the Kuchisake-Onna from that Japanese urban legend. Her eyes are different in design compared to "organic" characters. Her skin is more like the woven fabric used to make rag dolls rather than wood or actual skin, which is a nice detail.

The scene with Dathura being connected to that tree felt like a mix of medieval fantasy and Steam-punk robot, especially when she "detached" herself from the tree. Absolute chef's kiss!

Dathura's mini-doll form is super cute with an almost heartwarming simplicity. It's quite refreshing compared to her intricate humanoid form. Seeing her transform made me miss Amalia's doll from earlier seasons.

Seriously, what happened to it?! I guess it went wherever Amalia's strange connection to the Tree of Life is. 😒 *saltier than the Dead Sea*.

It was such a missed opportunity not to have TOL in that final battle back in Season 4. Bring back TOL x Amalia, please! 🙏🙏🙏

Chapter 14 began with Queen Amalia asking Dathura for help to relieve Yugo of the pain of the poison.

Baby girl asking for a favour, looking like 🥺. I'm so weak against cuteness! She'd have asked for all the Dofus in this world, an arm and all my savings, I would have given everything without question and even thanked her for it. No wonder Yugo was so down bad for my girl: he stood no chance against that face 🥺 #AmaliaStan.

I just wished that, when Tot finally put Amalia as an attractive young lady (Wakfu OAV onward), it wasn't for my darling to become the obsession of not one but TWO overpowered yandere stalkers with a thing for blue cloaks and masks. #Justice4Amalia 😭

- Totally not hypocritical disclaimer - Any resemblance to Yugo's blue-theme clothes, his very legitimate need to hide under his hat 24/7 (until season 4, then he switched to a full cloak) or his being an overpowered god-like character is purely coincidental!

I loved the conversation between Amalia and Dathura in this chapter. It shows they have come to see each other as friends over time, even if it was built offscreen, unfortunately. Maybe Wakfu Season 5 will elaborate on that?

The passage about how certain places are shy and can only be seen by those who truly wish to see them gave me a similar feeling from that quote by Saint-Exupéry.

Or it could just be me still fixated on my headcanon about Yugo and Amalia being a happier version of the little prince and his rose. Sigh, I really thought I had won when Season 4 came out and those two got their happily ever after...only to get drop-kicked with the angst and drama from the webtoon. I guess this is me now : 🤡

Also, it's disappointing that Grougalorasalar's diminutive is NOT Rasalar but "Asalar". Like, what do you mean? I'm not going to call Grougaloragran some Agran nonsense! I understand it might be to avoid writing such long name and also to separate the two black dragons from each other in the reader's mind but... really? Asalar? Nah, I'll keep calling him Rasalar the mewing reptile, thank you very much.

According to Amalia, Yugo is still down with a bad case of poisoning, but his plot armour is still strong. Amalia and co will nurse him back to health, no worries! Soon, he'll be fine enough to save the world... or to destroy it...or to destroy it while trying to save it. You know the drill !

Oh, and still no word from those horrid Osamodas. I can't say I miss the father-daughter duo, but I also can't believe they really left without a fuss. If that's the case, this is underwhelming. What happened in the direct aftermath of the royal battle? What did the people say or do regarding the whole thing? About Amalia's fight against the (allegedly) pregnant consort of their late king and the departure of the two royal plagues? Hopefully, the next chapters will at least mention that subplot.

In other, better, happier news, my boy Joris will certainly make an appearance in the next few chapters now that his late mother and his former soul parasite (Rasalar) are back in the picture. I cannot wait to see him!
