Phantump K.O. and T.K.O.

I went and designed a Phantump version of K.O. and T.K.O.!

I'm kinda on a OK K.O. mood right now and decided to make new concepts and art as well as work on previous art and concepts. This is partly based of an preexisting AU in the fandom. The reason K.O. and T.K.O are colored the way they are is because of the way I depict Phantump.

This also might be in the same universe as the Phantump Tiff and Tuff AU thing I made awhile ago...

And now on to the separate designs!

K.O.

The boy himself! I gave his body a red color in reference to the trademark headband and armbands he wears. That and red is color he's pretty much associated most with. The wood is a somewhat desaturated brown with bright green leaves. I sorta forgot that there were supposed to be branches and quickly added them in. How I forgot the branches, I will never know. The left branch I was able to put in easily enough. The right branch took a bit of thinking due to the "hair" getting in the way. I eventually thought that since the hair can be intangible and wispy it didn't matter anyways. The lower right is a bit of a mess and looks the most obviously rushed and I feel shame over it.

T.K.O.

T.K.O. is given a dark purple coloration since that is the color he's associated with. The wood and leaves are given a dark coloration because, well, edgy. I also designed the branches with more sharp edges to look more threatening. (Or at least tried to give sharp edges) I might eventually add thorns somewhere down the line. Also, I realized as I was designing him that the top branches kinda look like horns and I like that. I gave him a purple outline instead of the normal black lines I give characters to make him look somewhat ethereal in appearance. He also has eyeliner cause why not.

I took two O.K. K.O. related art requests a few weeks ago. @SeriesArtiststarter suggested P.K.O. fistbumping Metal K.O. with a competitive vibe.

This ended up leaning more towards 'start of a fight' but I rolled with it anyway.

Yeah definitely, I dont really read fics that often but here are some ones i enjoyed!

Like A Word, A Sound, A Song by aenor_llelo. It's a steven universe fic that i've recently started and im loving it so far, the worldbuilding is really good and just the writing in general is very enjoyable

Drawn Out by Purpledragon6. It's basically venomous and boxman talking 'parenting' after We're Captured. A bit short but it really feels like i'm watching a scene from the show, and i have a thing for fics that fill in the gaps from the canon

Transfer conveyance of rotary swing mode and transfer force of adjustable pneumatic mode ensures stable and reliable work-piece conveyance and high speed operation of the machine. The first station clip can automatically loose short dimension feeding, stop and alarm.

Coordinated Reciprocating Movement

Reciprocating movement of clipping table and opening/closing actions of the clips are both driven by a jpint intermediate shaft to ensure the coordinated actions.

Optional CNC Type Adjusting Mechanism

Is rear knock-out mechanism. Rear knock-out mechanism of various stations can be respectively and independently adjusted. Last station can. Before being kicked out, dead - point position of all models keeps the same. Some models can choose to add hand - wheel type or CNC type rear knock-out threaded pipe adjusting mechanism.

Independent Adjustment and Overload Protection

Is punch knock - out mechanism of RBF serial model. Punch knock - out coincides with back action of machine slider. After the work piece is shaped, it stays in the mould and then being kicked out by rear knock - out mechanism. It avoids being talken away by the punch and then get deformed, Various stations of front knock - out positions can be independently adjusted. All the front lead - out mechanism have knock - out force over- load protection devices.

Automatic Pawl Lifting and Noise Reduction

Is electric feeding mechanism, In return stroke, pawl can be automatically raised by air cylinder and be separated from ratchet wheel. It not only removes friction and noise, but also prevents ratchet wheel from reversal operation.

It’s recently occurred to me how fascinating the final melding of KO and TKO is when you really think about it.

Long, randomish essay to follow, I’m just processing a lot in the aftermath of the finale.

All throughout the show, since TKO’s debut, I had been wondering if he was really his own person, like many seemed to think of him as, or if he was just a metaphor/personification for what KO was dealing with internally. 

While the latter was quite feasible, the former seemed somehow far more appealing, and more logical. This is mainly because there seemed to be some kind of disconnect between KO and TKO, and not just in their appearances and mannerisms, but in the fact that they seemed to act, think, and feel independently. Moreover, each one didn’t seem fully aware of the other’s actions when they were inside and “outside” the body.  Everything seemed to point to the two boys being separate people trapped in the same body together. “Combined KO” was kind of further proof of this, since working together to move, talk, and generally operate was a chore. Only one of them could smoothly do it at a time, until they synchronized, but even then they could accidentally separate, or talk independently. On top of that, TKO always hated being called “KO”, and while the other characters treated TKO like he was KO gone crazy, they seemed to avoid thinking of the two as the same person whenever KO was at the surface level.

Everything pointed to them being separate characters. Even now when I look at them, it’s hard to bridge that gap and think of them as the same person. However, with our final version of KO, fully and permanently fused with TKO, who was indeed him all along, it’s a bit easier! 

HOWEVER, with that knowledge, I am now compelled to overlay the actions of KO and TKO, and really imagine them as the same person. All the things TKO said and did.... that was all KO. The sweet, hard-workin’, spaghetti-slurpin’, mama-lovin’ boy whom we all know and love is also... TKO. He’s the one who called Enid a “wage slave”, who called Dendy “science baby”, who treated everyone around him like they were weak because he was objectively stronger and more powerful than them all along, and no one else seemed to realize it. He did all those things, and genuinely felt all of those things. No more blaming it on TKO, it was and is KO. (Not to mention he definitely murdered Mr. Cardsley when he destroyed the POW Card factory. I mean, the dude was a jackass, but that doesn’t change the fact that TKO/KO kinda killed a guy...)

That makes me wonder.... how does he really feel? About himself, about the people around him, about everything. He treated everybody around him horribly as TKO, and loved it, with no remorse until he returned to being KO. The way he loves and cares about those around him isn’t negated by the fact that he is also TKO, but that brings up a whole new barrage of questions about KO’s true feelings. Sure, he may have just been venting his frustrations, and the KO him is really how he feels. But that doesn’t change the fact that what he did and felt as TKO was also real. He fixed everything he damaged, and everyone he hurt, and kind of made peace with himself, but,,,, has he really?? IDK where I’m really going with this, except that it’s super weird to acknowledge this, especially since no one in the show seemed to do so. 

Also, if you really follow my blog you know I’m a devout Kendy/TKendy shipper. I know the ship isn’t super popular, but I always loved it, and I love it still. However, the final version of KO makes it kind of complicated, since TKO was pretty volatile towards her, while KO was extremely caring and affectionate with her. I feel like they’ll have a lot to talk about now, and a lot to work out. Though it is sorta more complicated than before, it kinda gives me more material when I think about it!

Here are my boys from different Aus! K.O and T.K.O are from a same Au, where they are twins, but they got separated because Carol didnt want to be with Laser after discovering what he was doing. So Laser took T.K.O and Carol took K.O. They meet up years later and tried to be siblings again! The P.K.O its from an Au I created thinking “What if in Dark Plaza, T.K.O managed to take control to kick POINT’s butt, but they neutralized him and instead of destroying the plaza for glorbs, alter seeing his power, they took him to use as a weapon for the next years?”. Yeah, im kinda cruel xD in this one, he is a teenager (I tried to make him look a little bit older, but I couldnt do it well :c he is supposed to be 15 there) and last but not least, the adult M.K.O is from an Au where Shadowy came back worst than ever, and tried to take control over Venomous and ended up hurting K.O real bad :( Venomous escaped because of that and K.O always tried to find him (Thinking he was Shadowy Venomous, he wanted to stop him, but Venomous actually didnt lose control completely)
