2026/06/11 デスクトップ用GPUをノートパソコンで使う 【OcuLink】
NewなGPUを手に入れた
友人に安くRX7900XTの中古を譲って頂いたので導入することに。hinomotoさんに感謝…。
私の使っているノートPCはGPDWinMax2 2023年モデルであり、GPUを積んでいません。 GPUがなくてもAC6を30FPSでプレイするだけの性能がありますが、より快適にゲームをする際は外付けGPUが必要です。
外付けGPUには、thunderboltを使用した外付けGPUBOXが主流ですが、こちらはチップセットの関係で高価。それに、グラボの性能もそれなりに下がることが知られてます。
そこで、PCIExpressをケーブル化するという力技を使います。

私のGPDWinMax2 2023には、��体後方にOculinkというコネクタがあります。
これが「PCIExpressをケーブル化しちゃおうぜ」というための端子です。わお。公式ページから画像引用。
このケーブル自体がPCIExpressのデータを転送してくれます。
専用端子がない場合、M.2スロットがあればOculinkに対応できます。 当然ノートPCは裏カバーの改造の必要があるので玄人向け。
基盤とケーブル自体はこんな値段。あとデスクトップPC向け電源ユニットが必要です。(SFX電源がコンパクトでいいね) それでも15000円程度で済むと思うので、ハードルはとても低いです。thunderbolt��eGPUは安くて30000円程度、日本の正規品なら50000円するので…。
OcuLinkの歴史
OculinkはPCIExpress公式のケーブルであり、10年以上の歴史があるので、規格の安心感はあります。
主に法人向けに使われてたものを、中華PC製造会社がPCIExpressをケーブル化するというシンプルな構造とローコストも相まって、eGPU用として採用が始まってる感じ。
PCIExpressをケーブル化しているだけなので、純粋なGPUのパフォーマンスを発揮してくれます。 デメリットとしてケーブルを抜くと即ブルスクになります。ちゃんとシャットダウンしてから抜きます。GPU引っこ抜くので仕方ないですね。
あとケーブルが最長1mまでしかない。基盤はあっても対応ケース現状ほぼない。自分の環境だと不安定で心も不安。玄人向けではある。
設定していく
上記のサイトを翻訳してみることをオススメします。非常に細かく記載されています。
特にWindows BitLocker 回復キーのコピーは絶対です。
NVIDIA GPUは恐らく100%の確率でError43になります。その処置も記載されています。もしくはOculinkの基盤によっては平気かもしれない。
私のお話
DDUで既存のドライバを削除します。元々RTX3060Tiを既に使用済みだったため、Nvidiaのドライバを削除するためです。GPUを刺す基盤は前述の動画と全く同じタイプを使用しています。
MSIのサイトの案内の通りに既存のNvidiaドライバを削除しました。
セーフモードになったら瞬間にbitLockerの回復キーを即聞かれました。なぜか私はBitLocker 回復キーのバックアップされておらず、Microsoftアカウントを再登録したらバックアップされました。 セーフモードにする前に念のための回復キー確認がなかったらデータお陀仏でした。
GPUを積んだOculinkを接続すると、「Microsoft基本ディスプレイアダプター」となり、エラーの表示が出ています。NvidiaもAMDもこうなる。
AMDの公式サイトでインストーラーをダウンロードして、実行します。
ドライバインストーラーでちゃんと認識されていますね。
インストールが完了すると、無事にRX7900XTが認識されました。 タスクマネージャーにもちゃんといました。結果から言うと、ドライバ入れるだけで設定は住みました。
Nvidia製GPUの場合は、さらに外部ツールが必要なので前述のリンクを確認してください。
GPUを新しくしたら、電源のコイル鳴りがさらに激しくなりました。玄人志向の安物ではだめかな…。 性能はRTX3060Tiとは比べ物にならないほどパワフルです。やったね!
ただ、シャットダウンの際に、最後の最後でフリーズする現象が発生している気がする。ちゃんとシャットダウンされる時もあるので、も少し様子を見ます。→増設モニターのケーブルを本体裏ではなくグラボに差すと直るっぽい?
