To work or not to work?
So it’s especially very hard for me to decide on this simple dilemma. After a decade + of being unable to find a Pakistani husband, Allah put me with a Muslim hubby (Alhamdulilah) but I got married into a non-Muslim family.
Now my issue is, if I work, how would I raise my kids as Muslims? Currently I have no kids. But when I do, and if for a certain years I become a stay at home mom, then when I decide to re-enter the workforce, how would I go on about it? How would I even be able to get a job?
P.S. I have already graduated Alhamdulilah in a health science degree.
This is so depressing, not only because I am a little fearful for the future of my unborn children, but I am also fearful because the women of that household have no religion of their own, nor do they have any self-respect whatsoever. I have seen it myself, them trying to not spoil but corrupt their other niece/nephew and grandkids. They aren’t into anything for other than FB and TV, so they will never understand how important religion is for me and for my kids in the future.
Writing this is making me even more depressed.
