Netflix: Viewership is down! Only 8 million people watched this show we never promoted! Why won't you watch the TV shows we make!?
Me: *Won't watch any TV show on Netflix about women, queer people, or people of colour until I see a season 2 renewal because I'm tired of the things i love being taken from me*
Me: Huh, dunno, that's weird.

Are you fucking kidding me, they cancelled inside job too?? Honestly I’m about to stop supporting Netflix and Netflix shows with the amount of shit they cancel. Why do I want to watch something and get invested in it when they’re just going to end it after a season or two anyways? Especially when there’s no resolution to the endings they give???
I’m so frustrated. Shows that have high ratings and good reviews keep getting cancelled.

some other thoughts: ingrid is named after casablanca and it’s referenced a few times throughout the show (mostly by murphy) his betrayal was a direct subversion of the ending of the movie because he quite literally threw her under the fucking bus
and if i had gotten another season i know i would have been proven right and then z would have done something selfless for ingrid probably and she would have realized that murphy (i literally cannot call him jeff when she called him jeff for the first time it sounded like a muppet’s name) isn’t going to be the rick she wanted him to be and what she needs isn’t blind idealism or more cunning but optimism
