Kierra Sheard-Kelly ‘If God Performed “Miracles” Before He Can Do It Again’
Detroit’s own Kierra Sheard-Kelly is a ground breaking singer, song writer, producer, author and entrepreneur who continues to amaze us all of her ventures… and adventures. Recently, we saw her as co-host for the 2022 Stellar Awards with powerhouse Jekalyn Carr as well as the Lifetime movies, “The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel” as well as “Line Sisters.” If that wasn’t’ enough, Kierra…

You shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover… call me lucky
Only still alive cause He’s so good
Yea, He turned my mourning into dancing, now I’m laughing
Telling everybody that He’s so!
If you only knew where I started from you would understand my praise
Catching up on ALL the things He’s done
Yea we got it out the mud, only made it cause we’re covered in the blood
Put respect on His name
I’m only here because He made a way
He reached down when I’m feeling low
Carried the weight when I wasn’t strong
Told me I’m Yours when I didn’t belong
He’s good
So good
He’s so good so I gotta give Him praise
Thank the Lord for blessing each and every single day
You don’t understand how He turned my life around
It was all God’s plan
Now I know what love is all about
There was purpose in my pain even when I didn’t understand
I’m back and I’m better
Every time that I call You
You may not come when I want, You’re on time
In every season You’ve proven that You are good
He making ways out of no way
Turn my nights into new days
Broke the shackles and He freed me
Spinned the block and He blessed me
Where would I go? Who would I run to?
When I take a loss, who would I turn to?
You are my ONE!
You’ll never be two
I’ve had a lot of bad days but I’m still here cause…
Time after time, You are good
If it’s a no or a yes, You’re still good
Whether I win or I lose, You’re still good
Over and over and over You come through
You’re good!
🎶 So good x Pastor Mike Jr ✍🏾

i looked up the current candidates for the 2024 presidential election in the usa and it is. really fucking bleak.
democrats:
joe biden - current president. doing...ok. he's pro trans rights and has been doing some good stuff to fight climate change, but he's like a hundred years old and
robert f kennedy jr - seems to have decent opinions on a lot of policy, but thinks that chemicals in the water are making kids transgender and has suggested that covid is a conspiracy by ashkenazi jews and chinese people
marianne williamson - anti vaxxer apparently, also i guess thinks love is the only thing that will defeat trump
republicans:
ryan binkley - conservative pastor that thinks marriage is "between one man and one woman", anti choice, wants to Build A Wall
doug burgum - republican governor that has actively passed anti trans legislation, anti regulation (unless what you're regulating is trans people ig????)
chris christie - is apparently opposed to bans on gender affirming care, but vetoed a bill allowing trans people to change their gender marker, anti choice
ron desantis - i feel like i don't need to explain
larry elder - denies systemic racism and wants police to be harder on crime, anti crt and dei, pretty solidly anti trans
nikki haley - anti choice, extremely anti trans, anti immigrant, supports israel while also having an evangelical pastor who has a history of antisemitism and racism and queerphobia open for one of her events
will hurd - doesn't seem too horrendous, not noticeably anti trans, but supports 15 week abortion ban
asa hutchinson - great value brand trump
perry johnson - was republican candidate for governor of michigan but was disqualified due to fraudulent ballot signatures
mike pence - yeah
vivek ramaswamy - "anti wokeism", would pass a law requiring teachers to disclose to parents if they found out their kid is trans, supports bans on gender affirming care, wants to end sanctuary cities and address mental health through "faith based approaches", hedge fund bro
tim scott - said that america is not a racist country and the biggest problem facing black people is "fatherlessness incentivized by welfare", opposes same sex marriage and gender affirming care and thinks democrats are using school to "indoctrinate children"
corey stapleton - montana secretary of state, couldn't find much abt him
donald trump - donald trump
independent
cornel west (green party) - seems really cool actually but two party system will fuck him over
i hate the two party system so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
also congrats to the dems for yet another milquetoast kennedy, and congrats to the republicans for having the most racially diverse list of racist and transphobic candidates!!!

I dunno about you guys, but I have had to aggressively wring every little word out of my brain this month, whatever I'm trying to write. But I have made SOME progress, so I'm going to do a WIP Wednesday. Here's a snippet from chapter 9 of the buzz:
Eddie let out a low whistle. “Jesus,” he said. “What’s up his ass? Yesterday he made it seem like he was a part-time youth pastor.” Eddie tutted, like Jason, but with sarcasm as opposed to derision. “I heard that the holy ghost thinks that the f-word is totally bogus.” Mike, Lucas, and Dustin exchanged amused, but also conspiratorial, looks. Eddie pointed an accusatory finger between the three of them. “Hold on now. What are you asshats hiding from me?” “... Nothing?” Dustin replied in a squeaky voice, avoiding eye contact. Lucas looked at his sneakers and Mike crossed his arms and spun in a circle on the spot. “Yeah right,” Eddie snorted, then slapped his hands on his chest, squeezing. “And these aren’t real. Fess up, fuckwits.”
“I’m not doing it! I’m not leaving this room so she can fucking waltz in here and act like she owns the place. It’s bullshit. Did that Munson prick put all you assholes up to this, huh, with his Satan Meets Barbie self-insert, huh?!?” The whole tirade was enough to distract them all, but the unhinged way Jason said his huhs had this unnerving, Robert Deniro in Taxi Driver kinda flavor.  “What in the ever-loving fuck is he going on about?" “Don’t-- Don’t fucking try it, Todd! This station is a dumpster fire of freak content! And--- And bad fucking manners!” “What the fuck?” Dustin whispered under his breath. “Jesus,” said Mike. Lucas shook his head in disbelief, and looked up at the ceiling as if asking God for the strength to carry on. It wasn’t even four in the afternoon. Cool Parents listened to The Buzz in their minivans when picking up Sting Jr. from soccer practice. And here was Jason Carver, yes of those Carvers, shooting off to the after school club about manners while liberally sprinkling fuck around as though with preordained purpose. (Daddy Carver was probably shitting himself.) From the radio came raucous cacophony then; bangs, rustling, and the distant unhinged continuation of the swearing, in tones like a wounded animal. Once that petered off, all that was left was the drone of static. The ruckus had attracted a crowd at the counter, and Eddie knew then that this was going to be one of those where were you moments that people bonded over socially; remember that time Dave Carver’s kid lost his marbles on the radio? Eddie was about to theatrically disperse the crowd, when rustling resumed, and he worried that they were in for an encore. Instead, a sweet, light, familiar voice floated out of the speakers.
I'm not going to tag anyone specifically, but if you're having a slump of a January like me, then why not?

I’ve bolded those names who are either current or former members of the BJU Board of Trustees. UPDATE: I eliminated this indication after receiving all the names who signed.
The men present who voted unanimously were either all of those or some of those. We don’t know. We can presume that the Officers were all likely present: Kevin Schaal, Gordan Dickson, Taigen Joos, Bud Steadman, and Michael Privett.
Who abstained? Bob III didn’t. Mike Harding as a present BJU Board member? Stephen Jones as a very absent member of the Royal family? Mark Minnick as a current employee?
The only name on there that I can guarantee did not abstain was Don Johnson, but he’s an old friend of mine. ;)
What do you think?
UPDATE, May 15, 2023: The Positives have added an unredacted signatory list. WutBJU will mark all those signatories on the above list in bold italics.

Drew Sheard II, Adia, Pastor Mike Jr., Jekalyn Carr, Anthony Brown, Mali Music, Anita Wilson, Jor’Dan Armstrong, among others.
Kierra says of ALL YOURS, “This album was very special to make. When you radically stand for the Lord, there's a sound He'll give you. He will also give you innovation, strategy, and ideas that become game-changers. That’s what He did for me. There's a song for everyone on this album encouraging them to walk with the Lord.”
Kierra Sheard-Kelly began her professional singing career at age nine, growing up in Gospel music and ministry as the daughter of Gospel icon Karen Clark Sheard and Bishop J. Drew Sheard. She has become a trailblazer in contemporary Gospel and ministry, reaching others and sharing inspiration beyond music as an actress, author, and entrepreneur. Besides her fashion line Eleven60, and her women’s mentoring and fellowship organization SistHer, Kierra will release her second book this spring, The Vibes You Feel: What I've Learned about Life and Relationships Through the Holy Spirit, scheduled for release on May 9th.
