The Benefits of Patient Portals Solutions
The number one benefit of a patient portal for the patients themselves is that it offers easy access to their health information. Everything from health records to treatment plans is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
According to one recent study, access to test results was something that 98% of healthcare providers did via a patient portal as of 2019. Visit summaries were available at 98% of providers, too. These are the types of advancements that wouldn’t have been possible before patient portal software.
As mentioned, patient portals also allow for a level of enhanced communication because they provide a secure way for patients to get in touch with their healthcare providers when necessary – even for just a simple question.
Medical Appointment management makes it easy to schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments online, which increases the likelihood of people taking a proactive role in their health. The same is true for prescription management—patients are more likely to stick to their medication regimen if you make it as easy as possible for them to do so.
All this combines to create a level of personal health tracking that was unavailable until now. Patients can track their blood pressure, weight, glucose levels, and more, providing valuable data to providers that make it easy to create the right treatment plan for the right patient.

How Digital Health Tools Are Redefining the Doctor-Patient Relationship

In an age where technology shapes nearly every aspect of our lives, the healthcare industry is transforming remarkably. Digital health tools are no longer just “nice to have”—they are becoming essential for delivering quality care and enhancing the doctor-patient relationship. These innovations, from mobile apps and wearable devices to telehealth and AI-driven platforms, are changing how patients and providers connect, communicate, and collaborate.
A Shift Toward Connected Care
Traditionally, the doctor-patient relationship was built on face-to-face interactions during scheduled appointments. But in today’s fast-paced world, patients expect healthcare to be accessible, responsive, and personalized—just like the apps they use for banking, shopping, or travel. Digital health tools are meeting these expectations by extending care beyond the clinic walls.
With real-time messaging, remote monitoring, and virtual consultations, patients are more involved in their health journeys than ever before. And doctors? They're gaining deeper insights through continuous data collection and AI-driven analytics, helping them make better-informed decisions.
Empowering Patients Through Technology
One of the most significant impacts of digital health tools is patient empowerment. Mobile apps that track vitals, symptoms, or medication adherence give individuals more control over their well-being. Patient portals provide easy access to medical records, lab results, and personalized health plans—breaking down barriers and improving transparency.
This empowerment fosters trust and encourages patients to take a more active role in managing their health, which often leads to better outcomes.
Enhancing Communication and Engagement
Digital tools have significantly improved communication between doctors and patients. Secure messaging, chatbots, appointment reminders, and AI-powered triage systems streamline interactions, reduce misunderstandings, and cut down wait times.
More importantly, these tools ensure that patients don’t feel forgotten between visits. Regular check-ins, personalized content, and proactive health alerts help build a stronger, ongoing relationship that goes beyond the traditional “once-a-year” appointment.
The Role of Data and Personalization
With the rise of wearable devices and health apps, doctors now have access to a wealth of real-time data. From heart rate and sleep patterns to glucose levels and physical activity, this data provides a more holistic view of the patient’s health. Personalized care plans, tailored advice, and early intervention based on these insights improve not only treatment accuracy but also patient satisfaction.
Bridging Gaps in Access to Care
Digital health tools are also helping bridge gaps in healthcare access, especially for patients in rural or underserved areas. Telehealth platforms allow patients to consult with specialists without traveling, while digital triage systems help determine care needs quickly and efficiently.
By breaking down geographical and logistical barriers, these tools are making healthcare more equitable.
A Collaborative Future
At Hale HIT Labs, we believe that the future of healthcare lies in meaningful connection, powered by technology, but rooted in trust. By designing intuitive, secure, and scalable digital health solutions, we aim to strengthen the doctor-patient bond in a way that benefits both sides.
Technology should never replace the human touch—it should enhance it.
Final Thoughts
The doctor-patient relationship is evolving—and for the better. As digital health tools become more integrated into everyday care, they’re paving the way for a more connected, transparent, and personalized healthcare experience. Embracing these tools isn’t just a tech trend—it’s a necessary shift toward smarter, more compassionate care.

Tu es manques de mon ame
Danny knew that it was rare for a ghost to have two obsessions— even rarer to have three. Ghosts usually dedicate their undead lives to their first obsession and rarely have time for anything else. But really, it should not have been a surprise when he formed a third obsession— one still related to his first but still so different.
Before his death, Danny was always protective over those he deemed his, whether they were his friends or family. He always wanted to make sure they were protected, and while they didn’t understand it, they allowed him to do as he pleased. When Danny died, he died hoping and praying that Sam and Tucker were okay— that the portal didn’t end up exploding or sucking them into it— that they didn’t die because of his stupidity. After becoming a half-ghost, his protectiveness increased tenfold. And Danny? The poor boy was so confused about why he was suddenly more protective over people after his little “accident.”
It was only after a visit to Frostbite— after the fight with Dark Pariah— that he got a rundown on ghost biology and understood that it was his obsession. And not only did he have one, but two.
After that, Danny learned that, yes, his interest in space had turned into an obsession when he died, but he just didn't notice because he had been flying off into space in his free time, therefore satisfying and feeding his obsession. It turned out that to satisfy and feed his protection obsession, he just needed to protect the people around him. As Phantom, that wasn’t a problem, but as Danny? He had to find a more subtle way to do it. Convincing Jazz and Tucker to wear a tracker wasn’t that hard— what was hard was convincing Sam to wear one. She eventually caved once Danny started sulking for a week straight and almost got hit by a car while doing it.
Danny was happy. He got into Gotham University for aerospace engineering and had a part-time job at an old mechanic shop. His sister was in Metropolis getting a degree in psychology, and Tucker and Sam were together in New York— Tucker studying software engineering and information technology, and Sam studying botany.
Unfortunately, luck wasn’t on his side on a random Wednesday when he missed his alarm. He ran into the nearest coffee shop, but thanks to his fantastic luck, he bumped into someone the moment he entered. And his core fucking purrs at the sight of the guy. He looks tired, on the verge of death, but oh so pretty. Danny could see the hidden muscles that the well-fitting suit concealed. He could feel his core reaching out, trying to connect with this poor guy, and Danny had to physically hold himself back from reaching out while simultaneously wrangling in his core.
After apologies and a coffee date, Danny learned the guy's name and a bunch of other stuff about Tim. They enjoyed it so much that they scheduled another date, which turned into another, and it wasn’t long before they were in a loving relationship.
Danny was worried. When he met Tim, he was immediately obsessed, and when they started dating, it got even worse. He wanted Tim all to himself. He wanted Tim happy. He wanted Tim safe. He wanted to be there when he laughed and cried. He wanted to be with him during his failures and successes. He wanted so much of Tim, he knew it was unhealthy.
So Danny did the only thing that made sense— he acted normal. He held back all those urges and pretended he wasn’t an obsessed freak who wanted to love Tim like there was no tomorrow. He toned it down to what humans would call normal— no human would ever love someone so obsessively and devotedly. That is only something a ghost would do. He was kind, patient, respectful, and understanding.
After a few months, Danny knew that he had to figure out what was wrong with him. After a quick visit to Frostbite, Danny learned that he had a love obsession. According to Frostbite, a love obsession occurs when he finds a partner who his core approves of. It is as simple as that, and Danny was confused but even more worried.
Danny had seen what a love obsession does to you. Just look at Vlad! He was insane! And one of Danny’s worst fears was turning into that. He had seen what Vlad’s obsession had done to his mom— she was cordial at best and downright disgusted at worst, truly only tolerating him for his dad’s sake.
After consulting with Frostbite, Danny learned that since his obsession wasn’t fully formed, he had time to stop it from fully maturing. The only way to do that was to isolate himself from the object of his obsession for about three to six months.
Which was easier said than done.
Because Danny loved Tim.
To Danny, it wasn’t even an option to not love him. After all, what wasn’t there to love about Tim? Tim was smart, passionate, and intelligent— everything to Danny. To stay away from him for six months, when being away from him for even thirty minutes felt like his core was being ripped out, would be absolute torture.
But it would be worth it if it meant that Tim would be okay. He didn’t want to become Vlad. He didn’t want Tim to treat him like his mom treated Vlad.
So instead of asking for a little bit of time away from Tim, Danny decided that the best course of action was to break up with Tim.
Hopefully, on a bad note— so bad that Tim hated him so much that Danny’s core would give up and move on. Liar, a voice hissed. You know your core will break if that happens.
Or maybe they would end on a neutral note, and Tim would move on and find someone better— someone who wasn’t a ghost, someone who could love Tim normally as he deserved— which made Danny’s core ache.
But it was okay.
Because it was for Tim.
(Tu es manques de mon ame = You are missing from my soul)
Do i do part two? who knows

Hello Krad. You are a massive inspiration to me, and I have adored your art ever since stumbling across it a couple of months ago. I have a love for early 2000's media, and was wondering if you could talk a bit about how making art around FE9's time was like! I would love to be able to recreate the aesthetic of games from around the early 2000's, they just have a unique atmosphere to me that I really love. Thank you in advance.
oh wow, you are so very kind to say so, and so eloquently! ;_;
early 2000's... now that was a special time. i think the biggest difference is how utterly small the world felt back then, online. limited.
i read a good article recently how portal (and the infamous 'the cake is a lie' meme) percolated in a very specific time of the internet where people across the globe were just getting online in larger waves than the true diehard nerds and outcasts before, but it was still absurdly cozy. that meme went viral across the entire internet in a way that i truly don't think could ever happen again, since everyone was figuratively rubbing shoulders with each other - shoot, even 2010-era tumblr? i knew everyone in the main #fireemblem tag.
media limitations were remarkably similar - most teens had maybe seen all but two classic anime series before getting online, especially if you were out in the rural areas / on the east coast versus the west where the hot anime was being bootlegg'd before youtube was a thing. seeing a new series or getting your hands on the truly quality titles was more precious than diamonds. you were obsessed with the same show for genuine decades.
deviantART (where i was right before then) was a unique incubator similar to that - where young teens were getting influenced for the first time by art styles, resources and inspiration that their parents, teachers, and grandparents steeped in local visual traditions could not dream of. people arrived with very strikingly specific art styles you could tell who was raised in korea, russia, france, etc very easily - just as easily as you could tell who spent decades in ff7 fen versus naruto.
occasionally clumsy were those first attempts. but the drawings were genuine, and it was the next chapter in a very interesting visual dialogue between the old guard of illustrators (who only drew physically and were trained in local painting and inking traditions) and the new crop of teens hungry for the taste of dynamism and emotion they had seen in animanga. hungry to mix and match.
it was also truly a bridge from the tactile-first world to the digital-first world. nowadays like microplastics - you really can't go anywhere without running into a toy or trend or game or a drawing that hasn't been influenced to some degree by a dozen different other digital ideas before it reached you-the viewer.
in a way, since you're talking about recreating aesthetics, let's go back to the "limited" word.
limited is a good concept.
some of the best art i've seen consistently uses limitations. limitations of only using one medium, only using three default tools in your painting software (like dodge and burn since digital brushes were either crude or nonexistent). pull up programs like the Gimp (it's what I used back then for forum signatures and hasn't changed all that much) - limit yourself with specific tools of that era. look at isutoshi's hentai from about then (if that's within your bandwidth) and notice all the comic sans fonts everywhere-since nobody had gotten around to making specific manga fonts. limit yourself to being inspired by one or two artists from the 80's.
those limitations and patiently asking why (like you're doing now) will get you so very far ~
#not art#humorously related: whoever called sephiroth the sans of 2001 aged me like twenty years (but accurate)

The Benefits of Patient Portals

Over the last decade in particular, patients and healthcare providers everywhere have absolutely benefited from the best that modern technology has to offer. This is especially true when it comes to patient portals – a subset of the industry with a market size that is estimated to hit an enormous $13.07 billion by as soon as 2029.
According to one recent study, about three out of every five patients were offered (and access) online medical records or patient portals as of 2022. Rest assured, that number is growing. By making an effort to understand the benefits of patient portal software from the point of view of both your organization and its patients, you can begin to see why it will play an invaluable role in the future of everything you’re working to build.

Team Fortress 2 is Sill Alive
I know I don't have much of a following, and for those not interested, I'll be as short as possible: Team Fortress 2, a beloved and timeless game, has been suffering for half a decade, overrun by hoards of hacking bots and dangerous bot hosters. Please help us in our campaign by signing this petition (save.tf) and spreading the word of our efforts.
I have played Team Fortress 2 since 2012. I witnessed the hype for Meet The Pyro and saw YouTube crash when it dropped. I watched Meat Vs. Match unfold. I was one of the first to the front lines when Gray Mann raised his metal army. I patiently waited between updates, even when those updates became fewer and farther between, until eventually year long silences between updates became the norm as the developers and programmers slowly fell out of love with their game. All content in recent years has been community made. There hasn't been a Smissmas or Scream Fortress comic in years, and their ongoing comic series has been all but abandoned. I still check their website at least once a month, hoping that maybe they'll quietly release that last comic, but I know all hope for that is lost.
I met the love of my life because of this game. I have made literal hundreds of friends and countless fond memories playing it, reading and writing fanfictions, admiring and making fan art. This community is the most compassionate that I have ever seen, especially for a game that is nearing it's 18th birthday.
But as with any other good thing, there are groups of people whose sole intent is to ruin it for everyone else.
I've watched this game slowly rot away for the past five+ years, and it kills me to see such a loved game be abandoned. I've never loved a game as much as I love Team Fortress 2, and DAMN IT, I AM LIVID with how Valve has treated this game. It is completely overrun by bots. Hacking bots that mic and chat spam, DDOS players, and in some cases even SWAT certain content creators. These bot hosters are vile, abusive, and dangerous. Their programmed demon spawn spew absolute FILTH on every casual server they join. Click this link for a more in-depth review of what Team Fortress 2 is facing.
At the start of this crisis, Valve pushed out an update that completely silenced its free-to-play playerbase. Not even built-in voice commands could be used anymore until these players made an in-game purchase, leaving them unable to strategize, communicate, ask for guidance from more experienced players, or even call for a Medic. It was such a vile "solution" and nothing more than a weak cash-grab. Valve had essentially created a way to profit off the very thing that has effectively destroyed their game, because these bot hosts PAID FOR PREMIUM ACCOUNTS to let their bots continue hacking, ear-raping, chat spamming, and DDOSing.
And 2 years ago, when the Team Fortress 2 community asked nicely for Valve to pay even the smallest amount of attention to this beloved game? Valve puts out one tweet, pushes a couple of small updates, and fades back into silence. That's when we made our fatal mistake. We were placated by the response, and Valve took that as a sign that the matter was taken care of. We were heard, but we were not listened to.
This time, we will not back down. We will not give up. We will not stop our digital march until Valve PROMISES to fix our beloved game, and FOLLOWS THAT PROMISE THROUGH.
WE WILL NOT BE SILENCED UNTIL THE BOTS ARE GONE.
I still love this game, but I am absolutely *sickened* by the way Valve has acted lately.
And now for something slightly different Still Alive (Portal end credits)
Rewritten to reflect the current state of Team Fortress 2 and Valve's reluctance to fix it. Portal and its theme song belong to Valve Software, this lyric rewrite is not intended to infringe copyright, it falls under fair use as parody.
This is just tragic I'm making a note here: Huge Unrest It's hard to overstate my disappointment Valve Software Game Devs: "We won't do our jobs Unless we must Updates aren't worth our time Until communities beg"
But this game's not dying We're just taking a break Until VAC is working And you fix your damned game Once the bots are all gone You'll return to being loved Because Team Fortress 2's STILL ALIVE
We're so very angry We're being so sincere right now All because you broke our hearts And killed us And tore us to pieces And threw every piece into a fire As they burned it hurt because We're all so pissed off at you
Now these bots and cheaters Will keep logging online They're harassing your players Yet you're saying it's fine So of course we're all mad Think of all the fun we had Way back when the game was Still Alive
Why did you leave us? We don't want this game we love to die Maybe we'll find someone else To help us You have to realize VAC is a joke! Ha. Ha. What bans?
This game could be really great If you would get off your ass
Look at us all begging Cause it's all we can do You say "we love this game And we know you do too" But you gave us empty words And your product barely works It's a wonder the game's Still Alive
And belive me we are Still Alive We are relentless; we are Still Alive We're disappointed; we are Still Alive You think we're dying; we are Still Alive Team Fortress 2 will remain Still Alive
Still Alive Still Alive
Want You Gone (retitled: Want Them Gone)
Well here we are again Never got your shit together Remember when you said you'd kill the bots? Oh how relieved we were Except you didn't kill them Under the circumstances we've been shockingly nice
TF2 has been ruined You're who we counted on The cheaters want this game dead Valve, we really want them gone
Counter Strike has them too And there are just as many Your greedy company ignores them, too One day the bots woke up And swore they'd stay forever It's such a shame to see Their threats may really come true
We have run out of patience You're who we counted on We won't accept your silence Valve, we really want them gone
Thank you for staying here Oh, did you think I meant Valve? That would be funny if it weren't so sad So much for those updates You promised to push out If you ignore us maybe We'll just get off your back
It's been a huge disaster You're who we're counting on You can still solve this problem Valve, we really want them gone
Valve, we really want them gone Valve, we really want them gone…
If you made it through all that text, thanks for sticking around. Please consider signing the petition, spreading the word, and helping us take our game back. Enough is enough.
