4th of July!

On this Independence Day, we bring you a few patriotic sheet music covers from our collection:

The Finest Flag that Flies, with words by Joseph H. Hughes and music by Harry Richardson, self-published by Hughes in Saginaw, Mich. in 1914.

Our America  March and One Step (Ah, America We Love You So), with words by Laura L. Smith and music by John W. Keck, published in our fair city of Milwaukee by William A Kaun Music Co. in 1918

America To Day, with words by Herbert Moore and music by W. R. Williams, published in Chicago by Will Rossiter in 1917.

And as the last cover reminds us, "Don't Worry, Uncle Sam's All Right!" Whether that means the country is going to be OK, or America's always in the right, we don't know, but we prefer the former. Anyway, Happy Independence Day!

This song rendered me to tears the first time I heard it as a child, during a theme lesson. I remember my teacher being a bit freaked out by my reaction, because the lesson was supposed to be spirit-lifting.

It's my favorite song from that historic period. Perhaps because it is not a cheerful patriotic song that romanticises war and fighting. It was created during The First World War and depicts soldiers going to war with hope for freeing their country despite hardships (at this point in history Poland had not officially existed for over a century). It's gray, it's grim, it's deadly, but it also carries hope.

Szara Piechota rendered me to teraz many times before. It still does.

One of the dumber uses of self-censorship I've directly encountered was during my high school football games. I was in the choir, and we sang the opening to each game, which consisted of something fun and then "America the Beautiful". The reason it was "America the Beautiful" and not "The Star Spangled Banner" was that the audience would end the game with "and the home...of the...VIKINGS". And this would deathly offend the patriotic old folks, who'd give the principal a talking-to. And hence, a different patriotic song, via a very weird chain of self-censorship.

Fortunately, ATB is a better patriotic song, our arrangement is good, and folks were less likely to sing over us.

Hello, and Merry Christmas to those who celebrate~! Otherwise, Happy Holidays! I am here to share the English subtitles for more MoriMyu~!

Oh gosh, I apologize for such a long wait...! Life just punched me around a bit with studying for board exams (which I passed, thankfully!), a bit of technical problems with the BD version, and a lot of real life things I needed to take care of before the year ends (￣▽￣*)ゞ

Op. 4 covers chapters 33-47 of the original comic, with a few scenes/moments omitted. It is essentially the build-up to the climax of the story that was covered in Op. 5! We were also blessed with the addition of Miss Mary Morstan and Adam Whiteley for this musical, and I hope everyone falls in love with them, too~!

Anyway, here are the subs~! A huge, huge thank you to @mouldering for helping me with proof-reading and quality checking! I wouldn't have been able to finish this before Christmas without your help~! ♡ ～('▽^人) I will be updating the folders with the bonus content subtitles when I am able to as well, but for now, please enjoy the main show's subs~!

(I tested the DVD version on the BD a lot of times, and there was always a slight delay with the syncing, so I re-timed and re-styled it for the BD. You could technically load the DVD subs onto the BD, but you'd have to manually adjust the timing on your media player.)

All songs and lyrics were translated by me. A bit of creative liberty was exercised to fit context and some cultural references. As usual, the lyrics actually help move the plot, so I didn’t include the romaji for any of them. But, if you’d like to have the complete lyrics, I do have them saved up in PDF form, so feel free to DM me for them if you want ^^

Again, I’m not a native British English speaker, so some terms might be off. I consulted with a friend to help me check them, just in case, but please forgive any mistakes.

As usual, some scenes in the musical differ from the anime/manga for time and fluidity’s sake, so please don’t hit me for things that I can’t control ^^;

There aren’t particularly any triggering scenes here, but please do watch with caution since some subjects and terms used might be sensitive and/or triggering for other viewers.
