Alastor's Overlord Army Part 2

Alastor with a army of his own but instead of micromanaging millions of sinners he has a manageable fairly large group of Generals made up of former overlords commanding their separate private armies under Alastor's command.

Alastor, still injured was standing back in the Radio Station, orchaestrating the movements of a expertly trained army communicating through military radio to give the Exorcists a bad time.

It's a scene from Lucifer's nightmares harkening right back to Lilith's rebellion.

Except Lilith had never managed to get any of the Overlord's to work with her, it had been a rebellion long before Charlie was born. With the common sinner, imps, hellhounds and weaker goetia rising up with Lilith's voice, ultimately getting put down like a peasant rebellion by the Angels above.

This time the sinners were winning outright.

Here Alastor is keeping the Overlord's fully powered the entire time, the feedback loop of Sinner to Overlord to Sovereign Overlord to Sinner keeping them on their feet running or flying through pride hunting down Exorcists with unique unpredictable abilities like spitting tobacco like a hard hitting artillery pieces or trapping the rogue exorcists long enough with silk spider thread to let angelic steel bullets finish the job with incredible accuracy.

They combed through the city in a grid pattern and a militaristic coordination that gave many people flashbacks of police brutality, invading armies and warzones.

Back at the hotel Alastor goes over the map of Pentagram city a gruff looking ox Overlord had brought out, the other sinners, a white horse was moving around various markers and talking strategy while the female black mamba sinner cooirdinated the logistics.

Charlie had asked the newcomers names as they strategised and had been ignored until Alastor had reminded them to be polite with a dagger like smile that implied extreme violence.

Charlie wondered if Angel Dust, Husk or Vaggie knew of these strange sinners from life by their reaction of choking upon hearing their names.

Temujin, Gaius Julius and Cleo were after all, somewhat odd names.

Husk wondered why Alastor had relied so heavily on Rosie the last time, then looked at the former Overlords Alastor commanded with ease and bit his tongue. The current Overlord's could never even think of matching the power even one of these monsters could muster alone.

Power inspired fear, too much fear made people prone to risks taking like attempting to murder the cause of that fear.

After showing off this much power Alastor would be feared like no other Overlord before him but it also put a colossal target on his back.

Perhaps at the same time it also made him untouchable, obtaining their contracts from Alastor's death.. wrangling multiple Overlord's like this each and every one a master dealmaker in their own right.. No one except for Alastor could manage it, everyone else was too sane for such a risk.

Letting them run free was also not a option, for obvious reasons.

The true reason for not deploying this army earlier was quite simple really, Alastor would later explain. The hotel was tiny and his contractees (former kings and queens of their own thiefdoms in life and death) barely tolerated speaking to their former rivals through military transceiver, forcing them to defend the hotel together would have only demolished the hotel faster and any sinners and possibly the princess herself dead to a spiteful 'accidental lucky shot'

Interesting.

We are all aware hes more capable than what we saw on the roof, so why hold back? A mustery.

But in the spirit of it all, of course showing your hand and displaying such power qould cause eyes to snap upon him.

The goetia would see him a thrat that requires removal. Possibly even a sin or two.

Only strict contracting keeps his captives from seeking new souls, escape or hostages for freedom.

I was thinking about alternate ship names for the girls since the mlm ships in the Marauders fandom have Wolfstar and Starchaser/Sunseeker. I once saw Bravethorn as a ship name for Marlene x Pandora on TikTok and I think that’s so beautiful so based on this I propose :

Lilythorn for Pandalily

Bravesaint for Marlene x Mary

Braveflower for Marlene x Lily

Bravekiller for Marlene x Dorcas (I mean Dorcas literally goes on a killing spree after Marlene dies.)

Another idea for Dorlene I thought of was Bravekeeper even though I love the headcanon that Marlene and Dorcas are beaters for their respective Quidditch teams. Bravebeater doesn’t sound very good. (Doublebeater ? Nah) I could see Dorcas being a Keeper for Slytherin and Marlene being a Chaser in a similar Quidditch rivals to lovers dynamic (which is the Dorlene dynamic I am forever obsessed with).

And for a complimentary ship name where we take Marlene’s position on the Quidditch team it could be Deathchaser (to reference canon but also because I think Marlene would always be doing risky moves during Quidditch matches and on the battlefield when she’s in the Order.

Since I headcanon that Marlene’s Patronus is a dragon (I’d love to write a fix-it fic where she’s a secret dragon Animagus) and I feel like in a similar vein Dorcas’s Patronus could be a phoenix, I also think dragonfire or phoenixfire would be great ship names for them. It would reference the fact they’re both cut from the same cloth (both have Patronuses of magical creatures linked to fire) but who are radically different at the same time.

I’m not particularly good at making up ship names so tell me what you think !
