I think a lot of people ought to understand that since the dawn of recorded history international politics has always been determined by ‘might makes right’, and the strongest player(s) determine the way the game is played. The UN was never the one actually setting the rules, never has been since its inception, it was simply a polite fictional veneer ceded to it, and I don’t think it has any value to (pretend to) be shocked to “discover” this.

Why do people cling on to that fiction anyway? Because openly doing away with it means a return to the legitimacy of 18th century powerpolitics; to fight wars and annex territory because you expect to win, because if you win it means you’re right. We’re intellectually clinging to this fiction of a rules-based international order by our fingernails so we might at least sometimes shame actors into behaving, or at least first slow them down by forcing them through hoops to get internal or external legitimacy for their conflict. Without it the barrier to war is just that much lower.

The UN isn’t the world’s policeman. It’s an agora where you air grievances against each other and keep in diplomatic contact even when you’re pissed at each other.

The Thieves Guild is just like any other guild — it's just that their particular industry is crime. In practically every borough, hamlet, and city-state in Tamriel, the professional criminals have banded together for mutual protection. Like other guilds, they offer special benefits to members, bribe officials, and punish non-members.

Even though freelancers exist, most professional criminals in Tamriel belong to the Thieves Guild. It is best for the collective whole, and the Guild exerts a certain ... pressure to join. The location of their headquarters in a town is always secret.

To join the Thieves Guild, pick ten or more pockets successfully or break into a store without an Open spell, then wait for a letter. The Guild protects its members and frowns upon freelance thieves. Most quests for the Thieves Guild will involve stealing an item or helping a guild mate. However, none of these quests will involve any Dungeon Crawling.

The Thieves Guild uses rank only and not level to determine which quests may be offered.

There is a quest available from the Thieves Guild not listed here, to fetch three different items from dungeons. THIEVES GUILD QUEST 2 (O0B40Y13). You have to find the quest items from three different dungeons. NPCs will tell you the first one when you go ask about the news. After finding the first item (make sure you have it in inventory as a quest item), return to the city you get the quest from and ask about news again, until you get the same reply about the first dungeon and the first item. Instead of going to the same dungeon, choose another random dungeon on your map this time though. Maybe near the first one. You should find the second item there. After finding it, return city, ask news, get the same reply about the first dungeon and the first item, choose a third dungeon near the first one. You should find the third item there.

Guildhall Map Blocks(edit)

Guildhalls of the Thieves Guild appear as otherwise unremarkable buildings. They are automatically marked on your town map once you enter a town for the first time as a member of the Guild, though not every town has a Thieves Guild guildhall. They come in three architectural styles.

Guildhall style 1 always has two pigs in the fenced front court. More importantly, the building opposite such a guildhall is always an indoor Witch Coven.

Given the method for joining the Thieves Guild, you cannot join them again after you leave, for whatever reason (be it vampirism or being kicked out). Bethesda has verified this. The issue was never fixed with any official patch.

We know government regulation is not very popular in America, wheremany of us believe our capitalists markets should be left alone.  Butaccording to Vinod Khosla, a partner at one of the world's biggestventure capitalist firms - VC Firm and major investor in greentechnologies:

Political landscape for 2020

The 2016 election cycle is behind us and Democrats, after licking their wounds, will be looking towards the 2018 midterms, which could alter the Congressional landscape and the White House agenda, but not its occupant.

Should Hillary Clinton decide to run in 2020, it would be unusual for politics, but less so for the Clinton family. As Trump himself admitted about his 2016 general election oponent: she never gives up. As old as she is, a 2020 presidential run would have been all but guaranteed, had she won in 2016 and Trump will not be significantly younger. A 2016 rematch would not be as unthinkable or extraordinary as some commentators would suggest.

The presumption that a Vice Presidential candidate will attempt to become the standard bearer for the party could prove accurate in this case. The same qualities, character traits and a wider national name recognition this time around make Kaine a likely candidate in 2016.

The idea of a woman President had for months firmly taken root in mainstream media and in the hearts of a lot of voters who felt it was time for America's women growing up, to see that inspiring vision come to fruition. In combination with the large group of voters that feel that President-elect Trump has been a dissappointment when it comes to his public attitude towards women, the women of leadership in the DNC are well positioned for a presidential run. Merge Bernie Sanders policies and ideas with Hillary's experience, proximity to party faithful and governance acumen, and your dream candidate would resemble Elizabeth Warren. Battle tested by a tough senate race against a popular and populist republican, Elizabeth Warren is indeed a favorite of the DNC at this early point. Kirsten Gillibrand, Kamala Harris and Michele Obama could also prove strong candidates.

Among the governor class, Martin O'Malley and Deval Patrick could be ready to take the show on the road. Billed Billed as rising stars, both Castro brothers and Cory Booker bring somewaat of a national profile and party base which could connect with the Obama coalition. 

Power Politics has been enthusiastic about Elizabeth Warren for a while now. The missing piece seemed to be a willingness to go negative when it was needed, in particular towards individuals, as her toughness and straightforwardness in battling institutions was widely on display before her senate run. However, engaging with Scott Brown during her senate run and attacking Donald Trump during the 2016 cycle proved to us, that Elizabeth Warren will not hide behind the "they go low, we go high" mantra which backfired during a brutally ad hominem political season this year.
