. ݁𖦹₊ ⊹ Professor Hanbin!
minors dni (answering an ask by anon, can't include it unfortunately!)
- frankly speaking you were not a bad student. always able to keep up with the burden of assignments in uni but it all changed when your psychology professor had to leave mid semester, a younger professor coming in to substitute him.
- you never thought the new professor will turn out to be so hot that from being a top scorer your grades will plummet so badly, all due to him of course.
- don't get it wrong, hanbin is a great teacher. he listens well, he never discourages anyone, helping everyone around with his ever pure and angelic smile. in your eyes he is literally an epitome of gorgeous.
- and that's where the problem starts. he is so hot and pretty that all you can do is stare at awe, blushing when he smiles back at you so beautifully or your stomach exploding in butterflies when he bends down slightly against you to help you with a question.
- no wonder all you think about before, during and after his class is him. your head is filled with him. hanbin, hanbin, hanbin cluttering in your mind even at a glance of him.
- exam season comes and you fail badly. (who else can be blamed other than your sexy professor of course). while distributing the results hanbin's eyebrows furrow with disappointment as he asks you to stay back after the class to have a chat. the sadness from the awful result already vanishing as your heart beats with excitement getting to spend some time alone with him.
- "i wouldn't lie to you. i am pretty disappointed, you were among the top students earlier the semester. makes me wonder if my teaching methods are not helpful to you. do you need any help, you can always ask me." hanbin sighs, leaning back on his desk with you standing in front of him. the class is empty and only the soft music he plays during the sessions can be heard in the background. he looks displeased and confused, staring at you for some reason.
- you look in his deep black eyes. he is looking even sexier today, wearing a white shirt, left unbuttoned to show his tattoos, brown trousers that fit make his thighs look delectable and glasses sitting at the bridge of his nose.
- "it's not my fault professor, you are always distracting me." you smile a little, a weird confidence overtaking you (probably directed by the horniness you feel looking at him) as you stand up straighter coming on his eye level. hand moving slowly to pop open a button of your pink blouse to show some cleavage.
- hanbin gulps slightly seeing your movements, eyes not so shyly going to your boobs. "i am not sure what you mean by that. and if it's what i am thinking it is, i'll have to say that is highly inappropriate of you." he tries to fight back. he has now rolled up the sleeves oh shirt, hand flying to open another of his shirt's button as if to mimic your actions.
- you know he is clearly not backing away. pushing yourself more you lean towards him, palm coming in contact with his chest, your index finger tracing the lines of his tattoo. "and what are you going to do hanbin, report me? you want this too, accept it."
- there is a glint of surprise in hanbin's eyes but he regains his composure almost immediately. smirking as he grabs your chin pulling you closer, lips inches away from you. his arm wraps strongly around your waist, trapping you in his hold. "what do you want? just say it" he scoffs and let's go of you leaving you a little frustrated with the want to connect your lips together and taste him. your thighs rub uncomfortably, panties sticking due to how wet it feels underneath your white skirt.
- "i want you to pass me in this exam" you cross your hands across your chest. hanbin chuckles darkly, eyes now filled with lust. "and why would I do love?" he smiles at you, taking off his glasses and putting them on the desk. "because if you do i'll let you use me as your personal cumslut, professor"
- he doesn't need to be told twice, picking you up immediately, nails digging in your thighs as you yelp and hold on to his shoulders. he throws you on his desk not caring about the mess he is making. "you really shouldn't be talking like that you know?" he grabs you by the neck pulling you in for a messy and rough kiss, tongue sliding in your mouth instantly. your hands tug at his hair pulling him closer and closer while his pry your legs open, now standing between them.
- you let go to catch your breath, a string of saliva between you both as hanbin attaches his lips to your neck, nibbling and sucking harshly. you moan at the sensation and feel one of his hands sneakingly going inside your skirt and underwear. his fingers excitedly rub circles at your clothed core and he slips his index inside your hole, hooking it up and teasing your sweet spot. "fuck i- hanbin i-" you groan out as he fingers you slowly. "cat got your tongue now huh?" he teases you adding another finger.
- the way his fingers move in and out of you and the added pleasure of his mouth marking your neck and collarbone has you cumming in no time. he helps you ride the orgasm, cooing at how pretty you look practically screaming his name. he pulls out his fingers to pop them in his mouth, groaning in satisfaction at your taste before taking them out and pushing them in your mouth for you to suck on.
- you suck on his fingers delicately then instantly drop on you knees to return the favor. looking up at hanbin as he stares at you with pure lust and awe in his eyes. "let me help you professor" you give him an innocent smile and unzip his trousers. there is a patch on his boxers, cock begging to be freed from its confinements. you palm him gently as he grabs your hand. "don't be a tease now love" he says and you follow his orders, pulling his boxers down with the trousers. cock slapping at his stomach, tip red leaking with precum. it looks pretty just like he does all the time. your mouth waters as you lick a big stripe from the top to the bottom of his cock, sucking the tip lightly.
- hanbin grunts when you take him fully, mouth wrapped around him and hands playing with his balls. your tongue swirls around his cock, loving his taste. "you are such a whore, aren't you love" he groans in pleasure fingers tugging your head as he starts to fuck your mouth. you moan around him, the degradation making you rub your thighs together. you take whatever he gives you, now speeding up as tears well in your eyes, spit gathering at your chin.
- hanbin cums with a low groan, eyes blown, shirt all messed up, not letting your mouth leave his cock for one bit. when he is done he lets go off your hair and pulls you back. you still sit on the floor diligently, opening your mouth to show him you have swallowed everything. he smiles, his whisper dimples showing at his cheeks, "such a good girl, my little cumslut. consider your grades up love." you smile back at him, never been more satisfied.

Wait for me?
Pairing: George Weasley x Ravenclawn! Fem! Reader
Warning: Bullying (not by George ofc); Insecurities; Bad english and bad writing (really bad)
Words: 4.8K
Autor notes: I'm planning on doing a masterlist soon! Thanks for the love on the first chapter <3 i'm in my exam week, help.
Synopsis: Angelina and Fred are tying the knot and suddenly Y/N has to face unresolved feelings for George, which is even worse considering she never told him they are soulmates. 9 days of partying are more like 9 days of torture, hopefully she will survive, only if he stops giving her a heart attack every five minutes.
Loathing - 02
“I love you not only for what you are but for what I am when I am with you. I love you not only for what you have made of yourself but for what you are making of me. I love you for the part of me that you bring out” -Elizabeth Barrett Browning
“It’s so damn stressful, ya know? I have to see the seamstress again, talk with the buffet guys, the decoration guys, the band and the ceremonialist, and on top of that more family from my and Fred’s side is coming today and Fred will be out all day talking with the suit guy, cuz, apparently someone stole his suit or whatever. Don’t ever let me get married again.”
Angelina barged in Y/N and Katie’s room early in the morning because of the stress, and since then she’s been walking in circles yapping nonstop. Considering all of this and her tired eyes, she probably couldn't catch a blink tonight.
Yet, only because she didn’t sleep, do they need to be woken up out of nowhere? I see how it is.
“Calm down, Angie,-” Katie, who was still in her pajamas in the bed beside Y/N’s, yawned and rubbed the sleep out of her eyes “we’ll figure something out, have you talked with Fred?”
“We tried to solve it yesterday before trying to sleep, but i didn’t see him today. The tailorman asked him to come early, he can’t waste time so he wanted to work early considering that the wedding is in six days. I need your help, girls. please.” Angie pleaded while sitting on Y/N’s empty bead, looking at her friends.
Y/N, who was at the dressing table, tying her hair into a messy braid, smiled at her friend and went to sit with her in her bed.
“Close your eyes.” She took her friend’s hands in hers and waited, but Angie just looked at her in confusion “C’mon!” Angis signed and did as her friend asked her “Now take a deep breath, forget about these problems and think of the wedding, the party, of finally becoming ms. Weasley” finally a smile showed up on her face “You just gotta hold on a little bit more!” She shoved Angie in the sheets and started laughing beside her.
“Bold of me to think you were serious!” Angelina rolled her eyes, but was not really annoyed at the girl.
“You guys didn’t get up already?! Today we’re busy.” Katie showed up out of nowhere beside them, pajamas long gone and hair flawless.
“Ugh i forgot i could use magic to get ready. I’ve spent too much time in the muggle world”
From time to time, Y/N would reflect if it all wasn’t too much effort to get over some guy, in some quiet midnights she would think of what would happen if she decided to go back, then all that anxiety from not being able to erase the past, or, at least warn her younger self about her actions come back. It always comes back. So she stayed, far away from her doubts, running from her feelings forever, but not fast enough to block these thoughts out. Always addicted to the if only.
At Least the muggle world wasn’t bad. She’s from a half muggle half wizard family, so, no matter where she goes, she’s never really alone, and traveling she has met some really good muggles. Yet no one chooses “really good” to marry, right? So the loneliness only crept her ways in the middle of the night, when she’s by herself.
After all, George Weasley wasn't just some guy.
“Let’s distribute tasks. Divide and conquer, right?” Y/N suggested while getting up from the bed.
“No one else can talk to the ceremonialist, or the seamstress, only me, and some people in my family have some allergies I need to discuss with the chef.” Angie pondered.
“Then I'll see the decorations and the band. I'll owe you after, okay? So Y/N will welcome the guests.” Katie concluded, already taking notes.
“Sure! Do you know where you need to go?” Angie asked Katie, her face lightening up from her friends’ help. They were so busy making plans that they didn’t notice Y/N's downcast face.
She will have to talk to all these people? All by herself? In the center of the attention?
Y/N wasn’t sure when her problem with being the center of attention started, maybe when she tried to transform a pen into a cat, but she spelled the spell wrong and a friend behind said pen got turned into a mouse. In front of the whole class. At Least she didn’t live this traumatic experience alone.
Or, maybe it was one time in Snape’s class, when she was supposed to be making a potion that help with hair growth, it was a shared class with the Gryffindors, all of her friends were there, including George, and when Snape was supposed to inspect the potion, something went terribly wrong and the the cauldron started to bubble in a strange way, then the liquid exploded right in Snape's face, not only that, but, for a whole damn week his hair was blue. She heard whispers in the hallways for weeks and Snape didn’t leave her alone for a year. He really should work on getting over the past.
Curiously, none of these times were the reason, and even though she doesn’t like being the center of attention, she always has been outspoken. Well, kinda.
Now, she’ll have to face your fears and speak with too many people. Not only that, she'll have to organize these people, in a house that she literally doesn’t live in, people who she only has met once or twice, if that…
“Babes, you don't understand how much all your support means to me. Dad will be around if you need help finding the rooms. Will you be okay?” Angie asked with concern, she always knew about her friend's problems. She was there in Snape’s incident and wiped the tears from her face, she was there when she tripped in front of the whole school, and when she made her team lose the first and only time she tried to get in quidditch. After all these times, how could Y/N say no to one of the only people who were with her through it all? The answer is simple: She couldn't.
“I know Angie,” She tried to show her friend her best encouraging smile. “I'll be fine, just glad to ease the burden. Don’t worry about me”
Angelina definitely should’ve been worried about her. Only if she knew how catastrophically everything would go really damn wrong.
It all started when the first family arrived. Only three people: Angie’s Uncle, Aunt and cousin, should be easy. Then she forgot where they were supposed to stay.
Before going out, Angelina left a list with the names of the newly arrived and the rooms they were supposed to stay in -like, how much money do you have to earn to make such a big house?-, even if she writes like a three year old toddler, it is better than nothing. Theoretically.
It would be better if Y/N could read shit.
Seriously. The names of the family that just arrived are: Emily, the mother, Bob, the father, and little Timothy, the son, a very lovely family. However, in the list there’s at least scribbles that kinda looks like Bob, only if you squint a little. Now the kid is getting fussy, which means that the mother is now starting to get impatient and the father isn’t looking so pleased either.
She really should go find mr. Johnson.
“Could you wait a second here? I’ll talk with mr.Johnson for a second, okay? I'll be right back!” Y/N said, her voice dripping with sweetness.
The girl stormed out of the front hall in search of the older man. Looked in most rooms, halls, the garden, his office, damn, even in the bathroom -it would be too awkward if he was actually there-, Y/N needed to find him fast, she was too afraid to go back to the front hall without him after making them wait so long.
Ding-dong
Oh no, more people just now?
The witch rushed to the window to have a look at the trouble she got herself in, there is a cab in the front of the house: an older woman hand in hand with an older man, probably the parents, a young girl, probably not older than 12 years old, and… oh no, not she.
Nathasha Johnson, aka the worst girl Y/N L/N has met in her entire life.
When Y/N met Natasha it was in her first year in Hogwarts, when she was still a little girl trying to find her way in this new world. She was the first girl she met in her house, Ravenclaw, from afar she was all smiles and kind intentions. It was just when she got a closer look that she saw the poison dripping from her teeth. Not literally, of course.
It wasn’t obvious at first, her bad intentions. It was a comment about her skills here, or a comment about her appearance, about how she yapped too much, or even when she was too quiet -Is “did the cat get your tongue” the best you can do? really??-, all masked with funny jokes and good intentions, until she got meaner and meaner, so much Y/N couldn’t excuse her behavior anymore and cut her out, sadly along with her, half her house cut Y/N out too. At Least she still got her Gryffindors friends by her side.
Then it all got worse in her fifth year for no reason and got more…aggressive, but she didn’t tell anyone, cuz she didn’t want to bother their busy lives, especially with the war that was inevitable. After all, a school bully is just that: a pathetic school bully, and she wouldn’t have to see her ever again after school because she was a distant cousin of Angie that just happened to be in the same school as them.
It was a good thought until destiny punched her on the face.
She dragged her feet back to the beginning of her journey, hating what she was sure was coming next.
“Making the guests late? I always knew you were slow thinking, but that’s just blatantly rude” Natasha said, her voice snarky as ever. Bold of Y/N to think that people really mature after highschool.
“I-...” Years since the last time she saw her, literally one billion ways to answer that bitch and she can’t think of one. “I’ll see what i can do for you guys,” she turned her attention to the first family “i’m sorry for making you wait, i’m still kinda confused about the organization here. Let me see again on the list where you’ll be staging.” Y/N smiled sincerely at them, she really is sorry, even without Natasha’s comments.
“Years since school and you are still that slow? Too think some people evolve after school”
This time, Y/N couldn’t stop to think of a proper answer cuz she was too busy trying to decipher which one of these rooms Bob’s family will be staying in, literally back to the beginning. Maybe the room down the hall will be a good fit, but hasn’t Angie commented about a family that was extremely allergic to some insects that live in the grass so they needed to be allocated on the second floor? If she guides them to the wrong room it will be a headache to fix it.
“Sweetie, are you having trouble? Maybe you should’ve bringed David here. Where is he? The mother, ms. Daisy, asked. Now Y/n can really see the tiredness in her eyes and how her kid is really close from throwing a fit.
“I’m really sorry, but I don't know where he is. Don’t worry, just give me a second”
“Hasn’t she given you enough time?” Natasha really couldn't let her catch a break.
“You just arrived! You don’t know anything” Y/N can feel herself getting worked up. It would be best to find the damn room before she makes an even worse first impression in that family.
Her mind started running nonstop, thoughts so loud she didn’t feel the presence beside her, or the head looking over her shoulder.
“You can stay in the second room to the left, while Natasha’s family can stay down the hall to the right.” The families started to go on their ways while the girl sighed in fright, George Weasley once again appeared out of nowhere
“George, you scared me! Your mom should put a bell on you.” He barked out a laugh.
“I just helped you and you treat me like this? Next time i’ll turn a blind eye on it”
No, he wouldn’t, and Y/N knew that.
“What are you doing here? I thought you would go with your brother to the tailor.”
“And miss the opportunity to be with you a little more? i’d never.”
“Suuuure” The woman stated sarcastically, dragging the u “Anyway, how did you know which rooms they were staying in? I've been trying to decipher this for at least an hour!”
“Oh i didn’t”
She opened her eyes in surprise.
“George! If Angelina knows you did this I'm screwed!” Y/N crossed arms looking angry at the man.
The twins had this habit of acting without thinking, or not really caring about the consequences, she wasn’t sure.
“You were looking like a fish out of water there, if something happens to the rooms we can help them change later, okay? It'll be fine” The Red head smiled at the girl, who felt the butterflies in her stomach again even being angry at him. “Now stop frowning, it makes you look like a troll” He smirked when she looked at him in pure offense, then she gave him a light slap in the arm.
“How dare you?! You look like a troll!”
“Ouch! You would me, woman.” He rubbed the place she hit with an offended face. “You would be a cute troll”
“George” She warned, trying to hold the smile that was fighting to show up with all this nonsense.
Before they could talk more, a new family showed up by the front door.
“Stop joking around, L/N, we've got a job to do-” He turned to go help the family but she put a hand in his arm to stop him.
“Wait,” Now his attention is back at her “You don't have to do this, i can handle it on my own”
“I can help you tho” His once smirk turned into something sweeter.
“It will take time, like, a lot of time”
“I know”
“These families are impatient”
“I figured”
“You don't have to feel pressured to help me, really, i was just kinda nervous cuz that was the first family that came here, i'm really sure now i can figure something out, really-”
“Hey,-” George took her hand that was still in his arm and held it. She couldn't decipher that look on his face. “I want to help you, and we make a good team anyway.”
“I can’t count all the times that our projects resulted in disaster”
Y/N really couldn't get why on earth would he prefer to spend a whole day helping her. Even her didn’t want to be there.
“But we always got a laugh over it.”
“George.”
“Why? Didn’t you? If I remember correctly, you always did. Am I wrong?” By the look on his face, he wasn’t really unsure of the past, he just wanted to rub it on her face.
As if she would ever have a dull moment with him.
“You're right, but-”
“Will you let me help you?” His free hand also started holding her's, as if he knew the effect it would have on her.
“I…-” She could almost feel the heat in her cheeks. “Sure, but don't blame later when you get tired and bored”
“I'd never get bored with you. You're too funny” Y/N was once again left speechless while George rushed to welcome the new family. “Y/N come on, Don’t be lazy!”
Around the end of the afternoon finally all the hard work had been done, the families were allocated in their rooms.
George was a really helping hand in this, helping with luggage and stepping up when she didn’t know where to send these families, but after some time it became easier.
Now she isn’t really forced to do anything, but cousin Mia asked for a favor, just to bring her mother a glass of water. It's a bit of a silly favor to have to bring someone a cup of water, but Auntie Emilly has always been the sweetest to Y/N, so she didn't mind doing that favor for her.
Emily Johnson has always been her favorite in Angies family -If you don’t count Angie, of course-, she would play hide-in-seek with the kids, give them candy when the other adults weren’t looking, play dress up with the girls and hide the kids when they got into trouble. She has always been the fun aunt and even not knowing Mia that well, Y/N was sure she is a fun mother too.
Knock knock
“Who is it?” Emily’s voice echoed muffled from the other side of her room.
“It’s me, auntie!”
“Oh, Y/N! enter please”
Y/N opened the older woman’s door and stood by the doorframe.
“Hi Emilly, Mia asked me to take you a glass of water. Are you feeling ok?” She asked with concern.
“Come in, sweetie! Don’t just stand there,-” She patted the spot beside her in the bed “Come and sit with me”
With a big smile on her face, Y/N did as told.
“Here, your glass.” She tried to give Emilly the glass, but she refused.
“Don’t worry about me, Ernie gave me a glass before heading out” Her smile grew just by talking about her soulmate.
Ernie was always Emilly’s favorite topic, her first thought in the morning and her favorite person. Soulmates may not be something rare, but their love definitely is. If anyone wondered if true love really exists, just an evening with the couple and this person would never be the same, well, Y/N wasn’t the same.
When Y/N was younger, she used to dream she and George would be exactly like this, so damn in love. It’s sad that such a dream was pushed aside by other people. What's even worse is that she never confide such troubles with anyone, afterall, it was such a burden to carry, she didn’t want any of her loved ones to feel it. It was too heavy.
“He’s still the devoted husband, i see” she said with a grinning smile
“I made it very clear the day we married that the day he stopped caring would also be the day he wouldn’t have a wife anymore. He didn’t let me down in thirty years”
“Well, if you don’t want that water i should take it-” Before she could get up, Emilly stopped her.
“No no no, you’re not going anywhere before spilling the tea,” Y/N laughed out loud “How’s life treating you?”
“I’m fine, my job is doing well, I'm just really glad to see Angie taking the next step, y’know.” Her smile turned sweeter.
“Oh yes, Angie and this Weasley guy make a really cute couple. But what about you, dear? Any sign of your soulmate?”
Well, last time she saw him, he was in the garden.
“I don’t know, maybe I'm just not made for this…” made for love.
“What do you mean?”
“I-...Emilly, when you met Ernie, did you have any doubts?” Life is too short to take secrets to the grave, and, if she was willing to tell anyone a bit of what's happening in her mind, it would definitely be Emilly.
“About him?”
“No, more like…hypothetically speaking, what if your soulmate is good, too good for you, and you’re just…well, you, and maybe destiny made some kind of a sick joke.” She didn’t dare to look at Emilly trying really hard to control her teary eyes.
“Well, hypothetically speaking, i would say is a mistake to not let yourself live this, the day i met Ernie was the best day of my life, and that you are the beauty you see in the world, if there’s something of you in the things that you hate, there’s also something of you in the things that you love, also, there’s a reason for you soulmate to be the way he is, i don’t think bad people end up with bad people. Soulmates are for this, you know, for the good and the bad, for the moments of courage and insecurity, talk with him-,” she kissed her temple tenderly “And if you have…well, if you ever find him, tell me, okay?”
“Okay, i’ll…i’ll think about it,” She stood up with the glass in her hands and headed to the door “Thanks auntie”
“See you later, Sweets”
It’s…definitely a lot to think about. Maybe auntie Emilly is right and Y/N should come clear to George, he’s her soulmate after all, but Emilly didn’t listen to what she did, or saw what she did. It’s hard to believe you’re enough when half of your life people have been telling you the opposite, people that didn’t have a clear reason to. The process isn’t a straight road.
Her mind was so clouded with her thoughts that she didn’t see the other person in the hall, just when she felt a student bump on her shoulder. She really should start to pay attention to her surroundings.
“Still with your head in the clouds, huh? I still wonder how you ended up in Ravenclaw” Natasha, snarky as ever, looked her up and down.
Y/N was still surprised that she actually bumped into her. It wouldn’t be any news in school, but now adulthood is a completely different history.
“Don't you have something better to do? Scare children, perhaps? With that ugly face of yours” Not a good answer, but not bad either. At Least she had enough guts to answer this time.
“You’re such a-...” With anger dripping from her words, she almost threw a tantrum but just in time someone passed in the hallway, reminding them they’re not in school anymore. Natasha doesn't have that power over Y/N anymore.
But that didn’t mean she got less scary.
Turning back to Y/N, her face got a renewed anger, and slowly she got closer to Y/N, step by step, and Y/N tried to get away from her. Then her back hit the wall.
This situation made her heart race, not in a butterflies in stomach way, but in a fight or flight way. Too scary.
“I don’t have to do anything, you’re so useless you’re gonna ruin yourself without my help” The feeling of fear made her back away from the girl, no bothering to argue back.
It’s just sad she didn’t see Natasha’s feed in place just to make her fall.
Bump Crack
In just a second Y/N fell on the ground, the glass broke and the carpet got all wet. Maybe aunty Emilly was wrong, maybe she would never get over highschool and she would just make it all worse.
The sound of steps made her pay more attention, maybe it was Natasha coming back. She didn’t want to know what she came back to do if she really came back.
Great thing it wasn’t her. Bad thing it’s George, she didn’t want to let him see her in that state.
“What- Y/N? What happened here?” He looked at the scene before his eyes with concern.
Slowly she got up.
“I’m fine,-” she waved her hands trying to ease his mind “I just bumped on someone”
He kneeled down beside her, taking her hand in one hand and his wand in the other.
“What are you-”
“You’re hurt, I know you can't stop for a second, but try to stay still.” Now that he pointed it out, she noticed a small cut in the palm of his hand
“Look who’s talking” the lack of response made her notice the concern in his eyes “I'm fine, it's a small cut, it's not even painful”
“If you don’t stop shaking your hand I'm gonna get the spelling wrong and turn you into a frog. Imagine that in the wedding” Y/N giggled at the joke.
“Would be hella weird” She smiled and let him help her. In a blink her hand was cleaned, just like the carpet and the broken glass on the ground.
Satisfied with his work, George got up from the ground and offered the girl a helping hand, which she gladly took, and also got up from the ground with a bit of difficulty, her muscles still stiff from the fall.
“You're still running around? I thought we finished our hard work”
“I thought Auntie Emilly needed a glass of water and I couldn't say no to her, ya know? But she actually didn’t need it and- Anyway, i think i'm done now” She looked deep in his eyes and smiled “Thank you for helping me, even when i was kinda of a nuthead”
“Don’t worry thank me, you gonna pay me back helping me in the shop”
“Free labour?!” Y/N faked offense
“I Carried suitcases all day, it's your turn to carrie boxes all day”
“Oh, of course i will,” She pulled her sleeve up and flexed her arm, showing absolutely no muscle at all “Look at those muscles”
“Wow, look at these. You didn't even need my help” He pretended to be shocked with those “muscles”
“Right?,” she laughed, “But thanks for the help anyway, instead of helping with boxes I could fix us a drink, are you in the mood for tea?”
“I miss moments like this, ya’ know.” George commented before taking a sip of the black tea in his cup.
Following her to the kitchen, Y/N made them black tea and took a couple cookies in the cabinet. Now they're sitting side by side in the garden, on the steps of the tiny stairs.
“My tea?”
“That too, but more important, staying like this, with you” Her heart stepped a beat. It’s not fair how he got to say things so sweets like this without even noticing the effect it had on her.
“I miss it too. I remember we used to sit in the kitchens all the time, drinking tea and hiding from detention.” Y/N smiled. “Even after years i still remember how you like your tea”
“I noticed, i always like it best when you do it for me”
She bumped her shoulder in his.
“Don’t say things like that, your mom might hear it and be sad.”
The two of them stood a moment looking at each other, trying to understand what the other was thinking.
“You know, I always wondered why you never came back. I wasn’t joking when i said i was glad with de wedding cuz it would give me a chance to see you again”
This made her heart stiffen with remorse. When she got away, she didn't notice how selfish she was, putting all this soulmate thing aside. They really were good friends and he has always been good to her, then she goes practically no contact with him for two years.
She should've paid him a visit.
She should've sent him a letter.
She didn’t notice the hurt she was feeling he was feeling as well.
Maybe this is a soulmate kind of thing.
“I think…I think the war hit me hard, I just really needed to get away.” Even though it wasn't true, it wasn't a lie either.
“I’m not saying that to make you feel bad, I'm saying that to make you visit me more, dumbass” He bumped his shoulder in hers trying to lighten up the mood, but she really needed to get this out of her chest.
“I'm sorry for making you worry, I'm sorry for never visiting, I'm sorry for being a bad friend. From now on I'm gonna visit you so much that you're gonna get sick of me” without even thinking she put her cup down and gave George a hug. He also didn’t think much and hugged her tighter.
“I don’t think I could ever get sick of you.” He stated it like a fact.
That definitely is a soulmate kind of thing.

i got an email from the general grad advisor today, questioning how wise it would be for me to take algebraic topology 2 given my C in algebraic topology 1. she suggested that i could take the probability course track instead, which will knock off a distribution requirement and "could play more to my strengths"
ngl, i'm a little pissed. i'm doing a phd in math to become an academic and to have research in pure/applied mathematics. stats might be more employable, but i'm not putting in all this work to become a statistician. if i wanted to work industry, i would have tried harder to find a tech job with my COMPUTER SCIENCE DEGREE or CYBERSECURITY EXPERIENCE.
at first, i wrote a paragraph saying things like, "Regarding my strengths and interests, I'm figuring those things out. I don't have any statistics/probability background prior to my TA experience this past year - I didn't have much interest in it before and the subject is still new to me. I'm very interested in being employable after I graduate though, so I am happy to open up my options as much as I can."
i read over it and deleted it. my actual reply was pretty dry - all i said was a brief "thank you for the email" "hope your summer is going well" and "i'm interested in switching over to probability."
as second-year student, nobody actually cares about your interests. that's for after i have my master's degree and start shopping for advisors - and even then, it's more about what you have experience in than what you like.
they say grades don't matter, but the only thing anyone actually cares about (when you're early in the graduate career) is if you have good grades... i already knew that of course, but i let myself get swayed by the "your gpa doesn't matter!" propaganda from everyone in the department.
and here i thought mathematicians were honest.
you know, the biggest thing i regret from spring semester is not skipping classes when they stopped serving me. i wanted to, but i was more afraid to be rude than i was to fail.
(i don't encourage skipping class though, obviously. i only stop going when i seriously hate being there. i learn from the book instead and i still do the homework and show up for exams. it was easy in undergrad because those professors don't care. i just needed the credit/grade, not their approval.)
i just have to stay true to what i know. i'm usually right about the things i need and want. can't be letting other people detract from what i need to do for myself.
i thought that, since the department is full of mathematicians, they would understand me and share my interests - but the only interests they have are their own. i need to remind myself of this.
what i need over the summer is to prepare and practice for the statistics class i'm teaching this july. i need to review and relearn algtop 1. and i need to get As this fall.
technically i only need B+'s, but i want As, so i'm going to get them.
switching to probability should help me a lot. i have a classmate who took probability last year, and i'll be brushing up on my calculus anyway from being a calculus instructor this fall. so i have high hopes that, if everything goes well, i can pull it off. then i'll study hard in the winter and take the master's exam in the spring.

Obligatory retrospection 2024
I was going to title it "belated" but I didn't get around to last year's til the latter half of January either, so I suppose it's just tradition now.
Last year my main goal was to finish reading the Chinese translation of 黃金神威 / Golden Kamuy, which I did not do only because I was determined to read the hard copy version and the library wait queue is insane (a check-out period is a full calendar month and man do people really keep their books as long as possible). I did however read all 23 volumes of Dorohedoro in Chinese while waiting, and got up to vol 27 on GK, so I'm okay with it. Other goals listed: consume more protein, have a look for B vitamins the surgeon’s office recommended, learn how to do multi-colour lino printing, and "fingers crossed for minimal missile warnings and no more 曖昧的關係s". I have in fact been very diligent at trying to consume an appropriate amount and distribution of nutrients at regular intervals (while unlearning certain unfortunate food misbeliefs instilled in childhood). I did buy those damned B vitamins, which largely served to turn my pee bright yellow and make me wonder if I'm sensitive to choline cause I would get mysteriously anxious and depressed whenever I took them (eventually I gave up on it). I figure my regular diet probably covers things anyways. I also finally did the lino colour printing (and more printmaking in general). There were no more mistaken missile warnings, and as for the 曖昧的關係 …well, no unreciprocated pining at least.
I got really into making my own pickled daikon (minus the yellow colouring) when, appalled by the grocery store prices, I discovered they only require 5 ingredients and you just keep 'em in the fridge (I don't have a kitchen in my 套房).
At the time of last retrospection writing I was waiting to see if I got into a grad school program, and whether I'd have to take the Mandarin proficiency exam to broaden my opportunities. I did not get into the program! I took the TOCFL and got a 5 out of 6! (6 being C2 level, TOCFL levels are not equivalent to HSK.) I was still a bit too chicken to apply for grad school taught in Chinese, and decided to take some community college art classes instead, which I understand 98% of the time until the teacher asks me a question directly and then my mind goes blank, of course. The more I look into the heinous bureaucratic requirements for foreigners applying directly for any kind of non-English university degree program in Taiwan, the more I consider going elsewhere. But the idea of doing a degree program was in part so I could get student residency in Taiwan… ah, internal strife.
I had a big sort of personal paradigm shift this year, after my now former bff made (I have to generously assume) an offhand drunken comment on my birthday (of all times, wow), which (amongst some other things) slowly but inevitably led to the end of our friendship (or at least we seem to have mutually ghosted each other as of October- unfortunately he still has my spare key which I need to retrieve). In a strange way it was a positive thing in the end, in that it pushed me to the conclusion that I actually like who I am, including my values + perspective on the world. I realised our friendship was based largely on the shared experience of being "Mandarin-learning foreigners in Taiwan", and it feels strange that my circumstance evolving into "foreigner using Mandarin to learn other things in Taiwan" would be a game-changer, but I guess it is (well, there are of course more factors at play, but I feel that was the big one which had always smoothed over the otherwise substantial divide between us). I feel a bit guilty cause he's helped me with a lot over the years, but I'm working on accepting that one doesn't stay indebted to freely given kindness forever, and people (including myself) change and that's okay.
I went to Ladakh this summer, which was my first trip to a totally unfamiliar place post-transition and post-lifting of international covid restrictions. It's different to travel now with a home base I actually want to go back to, and a mindset which is more "curiosity and exploration" than "need to run away to the ends of the earth". For example, now I care significantly more about coming back in one piece. It's nice to be less bothered about being alive in general, re: transition, but the trade-off is being more stressed about gendered bathrooms and airport security. At least one thing never changes: fear of death by feral dog pack consumption.
I didn't do as much text posting this year, for a few reasons- one being that I stopped going to the kink bar when my fave shibari salon started having more events. A lot of good stories came out of that bar, but I also hated the crowd, noise, and had too many unpleasant sub drop experiences in said environment. Second, with more time to consistently take and post photos, more people started following, I was regularly getting more than 0-3 notes per post and suddenly felt increasingly reluctant to write in great detail about my personal life in a city which is smaller than it seems. Not to mention the amount of terfs in the notes on innocent beach photos... The further along I get in transitioning, the more it becomes relevant to my anecdotes, and I never really intended that to be the focus of my writing (not having to worry about how people perceive my physical appearance is/was a main bonus of anonymous internet blogging). And yet I still want to write about stuff! Maybe it's time for a side blog.
I need to come up with some reasonable goals this year (besides the big stuff I scheme about in counselling sessions). Let's say…get more massages. Finally do that bike ride from Fulong 福隆 to the lighthouse (the problem is getting up early enough to go to 福隆). Oh, I really want to get one of those lil ceramic tea pots and learn how to brew the loose leaf tea that was pawned off on me by a friend only to sit in my closet for a year. I'd also like to finish a novel in Chinese I bought two years ago on my ex tutor's recommendation- it was still too difficult to enjoy then and has been lurking ominously in the Unread Book Pile ever since. Last but not least, hang out more with @carrotblr, the tropical maladies can't keep us apart forever...

in darkness shall you be reborn
Chapter 20
Word count: 5302 Warnings: violence, NON-CON, vomit A/N: we're finally here fellas. after such a long time. here comes the second sex scene. (proceed with caution)
“You’re in luck – it didn’t inflame,” Izzy said, wrapping back the bandage around Vince’s arm. “Now the shoulder… Hm, also not bad. I’m almost sure you’re gonna live.”
“Almost?”
“Well, men die of stupidest of reasons. A wave might hit the ship while you’re on pooping deck and you’ll fall overboard. Only God knows how you’ll die.”
Wrong, Vince thought grimly. He was pretty sure how he would die. From Nikki’s hands or complications of injuries he would give – or had given - him. But he didn’t tell Izzy that.
“Alright, I can safely say you’re one of the healthiest people on this ship right now, so off you go. I have many more patients to attend.”
“Anyone with something serious?”
“Bret had his knee ligaments cut. I doubt he’ll ever walk unassisted again. Dave had his hand cut off, and I don’t like the look of his stump. But that’s probably it. We got off this one very lightly.”
“We did. Thanks, man.” Vince got up from the bunk. “See you.”
The sun shone brightly on the deck, and the dried blood made the ship smell like a slaughterhouse. Not that Vince had ever been in one, but that was what he imagined a slaughterhouse would smell. A crewmate he didn’t know was washing the deck in a very leisurely fashion, his face grim. Vince should have been in his place, but Mick convinced Tommy he needed him on the galley, and Vince was very thankful. The food didn’t smell as bad, at least.
His gratitude disappeared when Vince returned to the galley and was immediately berated.
“I said, ten minutes max! You’ve been away at least half an hour!” Mick raged. “Did Stradlin conduct a full-body exam there or something?”
To be honest, Vince and Izzy did spend some time over a mug of beer, but to Vince it seemed barely five minutes long. Either Mick was way exaggerating the time he was away, or the beer really messed up Vince’s perception of time. Whatever it was, Vince didn’t want to anger Mick, who had just barely warmed up to him again.
“Sorry,” he raised his hands in an apologetic gesture. “What do you need me to do?”
“Bring plates and cutlery up on the deck while I watch the pot. We’re already late with breakfast.”
Vince had already learned, through trial and error, how to climb up onto the deck with one hand holding a stack of plates. Though it did help that they were made of tin. At first Vince was disgusted at the mere thought of eating off them, stained no matter how hard he washed them, making food taste metallic, but now he didn’t care. He was happy as long as there was food on those plates.
Pirates, seeing him line up plates on the deck, began gathering around him. There’d never been conflicts over food, because everyone got their share, but everyone wanted to get the portion from the top of the pot, where it didn’t burn and stick to the bottom. Vince, by virtue of being the one distributing, usually got his portion one of the last, so he sure understood them. But as much as Vince looked, he couldn’t see the captain and his first mate. Which was bad, because if they wouldn’t come out on deck to get their portions themselves, he would have to deliver them to the cabin, and Vince had no desire whatsoever to go there.
Soon Mick brought out the steaming hot pot of porridge, a loaf of bread and a jug of beer. Everyone got their portions. The captain and his first mate didn’t come.
The porridge tasted more metallic than usual, like someone dripped blood in it. But the color was the usual greyish beige, the thickness the same too. That was probably just a particularly shitty plate.
Mick had set aside two plates for the captain and the first mate, but didn’t yet tell Vince to go deliver them. He probably just forgot, and Vince kept nursing hope that they would come out and get their portions themselves eventually. At least until the porridge gets cold, because it was even less edible that way and was sure to piss Nikki off.
Finally Vince saw Tommy walk out of the cabin and head towards them with a springy step.
“Oh, I see breakfast is already over,” he said upon approach. “Hope you left some for us, Mick?”
“Of course I did.” Mick rolled his eyes. “I am not yet ready to walk the plank.”
“Oh, don’t exaggerate. Nikki is unpleasant when hungry, but not that unpleasant.” Tommy turned to Vince. “C’mon. Help me bring Nikki the food.”
And here it was, his biggest fear. He only hoped Tommy was gonna eat with Nikki and hold him back somewhat.
Vince put a piece of bread on the edge of the plate and grabbed it with one hand and a mug of beer with the other. Tommy did the same with his portion and immediately took a sip from his mug.
“Ew, warm. Let’s go.”
They walked across the deck to the captain’s cabin, a knot of fear in Vince’s stomach growing tighter with every step. Then, when they reached the cabin, instead of knocking on the door Tommy turned to him.
“He’s still mighty pissed over Hetfield’s betrayal. So if you wanna walk out of here on your own two feet: don’t act up. Don’t look him in the eye. Don’t resist. Don’t talk back. Just do what he says, alright? You have only brushed the surface of what he’s capable of. Don’t dive deeper.”
“Well, that’s encouraging,” Vince tried to spit out a laugh, to show he was not afraid, but it sounded more like a pained choke and didn’t convince Tommy in any way whatsoever. He sent Vince a sharp gaze and turned to kick the door - his hands were occupied.
Nikki opened after one kick. He looked like he had a very bad night: disheveled, his features deeper and sharper than usual, his pupils so wide they almost fully covered the irises. The draft flowing through the door carried with it a strong smell of spirits.
“Finally,” he said, his voice hoarse. “It sure took you a lot of time to fetch him, T-bone.”
“C’mon, I was away for hardly more than five minutes,” Tommy said cheerily, like it wasn’t him just warning Vince of Nikki’s awful mood. “He brought you breakfast, too. Please eat; it helps the hangover.”
Oh. Nikki didn’t send for breakfast, which incidentally included Vince. He sent for him in particular, which was way worse than Vince thought.
“Eggs don’t teach the chicken,” Nikki grumbled. Then, in a more businesslike voice, continued. “I want you to send men to scour the Metallica; I heard they’ve had a good raid recently, maybe they haven’t spent it all yet. Take anything we can sell. Also bring in Mick so he can look at the food and see what we can take. I want this ship looted to the last hold.”
“You want to sell it or drown?”
“Drown, of course. His Majesty the King will surely look for his faithful servants, and we don’t want to leave any traces.”
“Pity.” Tommy sighed. “She’s a good ship. I’ll be on my way then. Have fun, you two.”
Vince’s stomach dropped. Yeah, that was going to be exactly what he feared. Fun for Nikki, sure; for Vince? Not so much.
The door closed behind him, cutting of the light of the sun and the fresh sea air. The cabin was dark and stuffy inside, the curtain barely letting in sunlight. Everything was in disarray. What was he even doing here to make such a mess?
“Don’t just stand there! Put the food on the table!” Nikki ordered in an irritated voice. Then he looked the table over and pushed a few empty bottles and books off it to make space for the plate and the mug. Vince carefully lowered them on the table and backed off, trying to get out of Nikki’s sight. Maybe he’d just forget about him then.
Nikki sat down to eat and poked the porridge with his spoon.
“This looks like glue,” he said. “Tastes, too. Did Mick cook it?”
“Yes.”
“Weird. His cooking game is usually better than this.” Still, despite his distaste, he began eating rather hungrily. A hangover does that to a man, Vince thought.
“I’m also gonna ask him about your performance,” Nikki said suddenly. “Gotta make sure you’re earning your food and not slacking off.”
“I’m not,” Vince said carefully, rubbing at the already permanent creases on his fingers from all the dish-washing.
“Yeah, yeah, sure.” Nikki finished his porridge and reached for his beer. “Tell me more about how hardworking you are.”
Vince bit his lip to not let out a spiteful remark. This was a man spending the majority of his days drinking in his cabin or messing around with his first mate. Sure, maybe he slaved away earlier in life to get where he was, but now he had no right to tell Vince he wasn’t hardworking enough.
“Truth stings, huh?” Nikki grinned, spotting Vince’s changed expression. “In my opinion, you have too much free time on your hands. Mick’s got a soft spot for you – I didn’t expect that of him, but whatever - and lets you slack off, but I’m gonna put an end to this. In between working the galley you’ll also be cleaning my cabin.”
Vince clenched his fists so tightly his nails dug deep into his palms. It wasn’t even extra work that bothered him – it was just that it would be even harder to avoid the captain. And cleaning his cabin, constantly being watched by him, subject to whatever he wished to do at any moment in time… hell on earth.
Nikki watched him with a smug grin.
“Well, what do you say?”
“Does it matter what I have to say?” Vince said through gritted teeth. Nikki’s grin widened.
“That’s right, it doesn’t. Glad you understand that.” He rose from his chair and stepped towards Vince.
Vince stepped back before his brain could even process the act. He stared at Nikki’s feet, ready to catch the next step he would make. But Nikki didn’t, just tilted his head and crossed his arms on his chest.
“Backing away from me, huh? Don’t want me to touch you?”
A question with no right answers. Again. As usual, Vince didn’t reply, just kept staring at Nikki’s feet. He refused to look Nikki in the eyes, but not because he was guilty; he feared what he could see behind that grin, in these cold green eyes. Rage. Hate. Lust.
Nikki stepped forward. Vince stepped back.
“You’re afraid of me? You think I will hurt you?”
Of course I am. Of course you will.
“You think there’s a reason for me to hurt you? Is that because you’re guilty of something?”
Another step. Vince stepped back, words hardening in his throat, not willing to leave his mouth. He shook his head ferociously, but Nikki wasn’t convinced.
“Look at you. All shaking, staring at the floor. That’s not a look of an honest man that has nothing to hide.”
Another step. Vince backed away – and his foot met resistance. He pressed his back into the wall of the cabin. There was no way out – Nikki stood between him and the door.
“I didn’t do it.” The words finally spilled out of his mouth. “I didn’t conspire with that man, Hetfield. I’ve never met him.”
“I didn’t even say anything about Hetfield, and your first thought was him? That’s what you think you’re guilty of?”
Nikki was very close now, mere inches between them. Vince shrunk his head into his shoulders. Nikki’s breath ruffled his hair.
“No,” Vince croaked. The knot of fear in his stomach spread into his limbs, making his hands shake and his throat close up. “I just- you lashed out at me for this in the galley. So I thought-“
“You thought,” Nikki said slowly and cupped Vince’s chin gently. For now. “You definitely have too much free time on your hands.”
And then his grip hardened, and he slammed Vince’s head into the wall. Sharp pain spiked through Vince’s skull, the world went white for a second. His hands instinctively flew up and grasped at Nikki’s arms, but his grip was unyielding. Nikki’s nails were digging into Vince’s cheek so deeply Vince feared they would tear right through the thin skin.
“I wonder when you managed to do that.” Nikki’s voice was as though coming from afar, even though his face was inches away from Vince’s. “Meet up with Metallicos, I mean. It sure happened in Port Royal, but I’ve been keeping an eye of you the entire time. So when?..”
“I didn’t.” Vince’s voice betrayed him and came out really hoarse and quiet. “I never met up with any-“
Another slam. Pain flashed in the back of his head and spread through it like a spider’s web, enveloping Vince’s brain, evaporating every coherent thought. He didn’t even notice he bit through his lip until his saliva tasted metallic.
“Liar,” Nikki said coldly. “Filthy, dirty liar. Caught red-handed and still trying to weasel away from it. Typical for your kind.”
What kind, a thought flashed through Vince’s mind, but it was gone as fast as it came. He was frantically searching for words that would convince Nikki he was innocent – and couldn’t. Whatever he said, Nikki would find a way to turn it against him.
He spoke anyway. “If I conspired with them. I wouldn’t kill those two. In the galley.”
“Maybe you realised they were losing and tried to cover your ass.” Nikki narrowed his eyes.
“I didn’t know what was going on. I didn’t know who they were. I swear!” The last word rose in pitch and trailed off. Nikki looked at Vince… not with hate, not with rage. Like an artist admiring his work of art.
“Anyway, that doesn’t matter now. All the Metallicos are dead, and I’ll make sure you have no chance to plan against me ever again.”
And then he released his grip. Turned out it was the only thing holding Vince upright, and now he slid down the wall, his knees weak. His heart was racing, his vision blurry. Dull pain spread from the back of his head, fogging his thoughts.
He forced himself to stay alert and watch Nikki, who stepped back, looking Vince over, another smug grin on his lips. Seeing that cold, handsome face, the face of a person who held Vince’s fate in his hands and fiddled with it however he wanted, cemented Vince’s fear into hate. No one should be allowed to wield complete power over a person. That makes them think themselves godly.
“On your knees,” Nikki said.
Tommy’s words came to mind. Don’t resist. You have only brushed the surface of what he’s capable of.
Vince’s elbows shook when he tried to prop himself up from the floor. White flashed before his eyes at the mere movement, making him halt to come to his senses. Nikki didn’t like the wait.
“Hurry up!” He kicked Vince in the side. “I’m not wasting an entire day on you!”
Vince suppressed a pained cry and scrambled to get onto his knees. He already had a suspicion, and now that Nikki began unfastening his belt, it proved itself true.
“I don’t know how to do this,” Vince said hoarsely. He didn’t even know why he said that. It sure wouldn’t convince Nikki not to do it. “I’ve never-“
“Then it’s time to learn,” Nikki replied cheerfully. His hand ruffled Vince’s hair, then gripped onto it and pulled his head back.
“You can’t imagine how gorgeous you are,” he said, rubbing Vince’s temple with his thumb, “like this. That’s where you belong.”
A hot ball of shame burst in Vince’s stomach, poisoning his whole body. He really wished his family thought he was dead. Because he wouldn’t be able to look them in the eye after this.
His face must have reflected his thoughts, because Nikki pulled at his hair and laughed.
“Don’t like that? But it’s true. The faster you learn to accept it, the better for you.”
Then he unbuttoned his pants and took out his half-hard cock. Vince couldn’t hold back a grimace - Nikki must have not washed himself since Port Royal. Vince too, sure, but he wasn’t making anyone smell his crotch, after all.
“Yeah, seafaring life has its limits. Get used to it,” Nikki said, lining the tip of his cock to Vince’s lips. “Open your mouth. And mind your teeth.”
Yeah, it tasted even worse than it smelled. Vince’s first instinct was to spit it out, but Nikki’s grip on his hair was too tight. Instead Vince concentrated on suppressing his retching. Surely Nikki wouldn’t be pleased if he vomits all over his cabin.
Nikki didn’t give him much time to get used to it. He thrusted his hips forward impatiently, making Vince gag.
“If you don’t work on it yourself, I’ll just fuck your throat,” he threatened.
Yeah, he would surely vomit if Nikki did that. Vince had no other choice.
He recalled what the maids and prostitutes he slept with did and tried to copy that: carefully run his tongue along Nikki’s cock, then moved his head up and down the length. These whores were professionals, after all. He should have been paying attention to their techniques.
Nikki’s trembling gasp told him he was doing the right thing. His fingers grasped Vince’s hair tighter.
“Keep it up,” he ordered. “Just like that.”
Vince began moving his lips up and down Nikki’s cock, alternating speeds: slower, faster, slower again. It was harder than he thought: soon his knees began to hurt, and his tongue got tired. That was when he made a mistake.
“Ouch! Teeth!” Nikki pulled Vince’s head back by the hair, his cock slid out of Vince’s mouth. “Told you to be careful, little bastard!”
Then he slapped Vince with his free hand. It wasn’t really strong, or painful, but Vince’s poor head had gone through a lot that day already, so the world went blurry for a couple moments. Vince blinked forcefully to clear his vision and saw Nikki, frowning, expecting an answer.
“Sorry, sir.” He wiped a string of saliva on his chin. “You know I’ve never done this before.”
“That’s the only reason you’re not getting your ass kicked right now,” Nikki grumbled, pulling Vince back to his crotch. “But only this first time.”
Sucking dick turned out to be harder than Vince expected. He had to fold his lips under his teeth, and that made them go numb really fast. It was especially hard when moving quickly, and Nikki was at the stage of arousal when slowing down would anger him. To be fair, though, Vince managed that in completely non-sexual situations just as well, so the issue probably ran deeper than that.
“Come on,” Nikki growled, rocking his hips forward. “Faster!”
Now that his cock was fully hard, the threat of vomiting all over the cabin was getting more and more real. And Nikki, dissatisfied with Vince’s speed, took the matter into his own hands – literally: he wrapped his hands around Vince’s head and began violently thrusting into his mouth. The very throat-fucking he threatened Vince with.
It did not go well at all. Vince’s eyes watered, breath faltered, the dull pain in the back of his head sharpened and spread. And, the worst of it, his breakfast rose to his throat, threatening to spill out every second.
Vince frantically tapped on Nikki’s arm, trying to attract attention, but Nikki didn’t even notice. Trying to wrangle his head out of Nikki’s grip also failed. Nikki was so consumed in the action he didn’t even notice Vince’s fussing.
Well, there was no other choice. Vince pushed Nikki away, and when his hands met resistance, kicked him in the knee, making him gasp in pain, lose balance and fall. But that did make Nikki release his grip, letting Vince turn in the opposite direction and empty his stomach on the floor.
The porridge looked only slightly better on the plate than it did now. But it sure smelled and tested better, not mixed with stomach bile then. The taste was so bitter and nauseating that for a second Vince considered licking the wooden cabin floor, just to wipe it off his tongue.
He heard Nikki groan behind him and turned his head just in time to see him get up from the floor and limp towards him. The expression on his face made Vince’s already long-suffering stomach drop.
“I’m sorry-“ he began, but Nikki didn’t let him continue. With a strong kick he turned Vince’s body on his stomach, grabbed his hair and slammed his head against the floor.
This time it took Vince longer to come around, and it wasn’t pleasant. For a second he was sure he went blind, but then the vision returned, blurry, with white sparkles dancing in front of his eyes. And a sharp pain where Nikki’s hand pulled him by the hair.
“You little, dirty-“ he heard, the words barely audible through the ringing in his ears. “Eat your own shit.”
And then he dragged Vince to the puddle of vomit. Just before Nikki pressed his face into it, Vince propped himself up on his arms, his face inches away from the puddle. It was good he wasn’t wearing a shirt anymore – his skin didn’t soak it up like fabric would.
“Eat, dog!” Nikki growled, pressing on the back of Vince’s head. Pain spread through his neck and shoulders, but by mere miracle Vince kept his head up. He was willing to go far to not anger Nikki, but this was farther than that.
While Nikki was occupied pressing onto his head, Vince fumbled his leg until it met resistance – and then kicked as hard as he could. He hit the target: Nikki hissed in pain and let him go – just for a moment, but it was enough for Vince to roll away from the puddle of vomit, scraping his elbows on the hard floor.
Nikki was rubbing his leg and wincing – apparently, Vince kicked him in the injured one. Otherwise Nikki wouldn’t let him go so easily after just a kick, Vince realised. And he sure wasn’t going to let him go so easily now. Vince pissed him off so bad his face wasn’t even twisted in anger – it was now an expressionless mask, and his eyes were black, like a demon’s, even though his pupils were probably just unnaturally wide.
Nikki walked towards him. Vince crawled away – or, rather, tried to, because Nikki gripped his ankle and dragged him back to the center of the room.
“I was willing to let you go unharmed today if you pleased me,” he said, voice low. “But you didn’t please me at all.”
Then he kicked Vince in the ribs. One kick, two, three… then Vince lost count. Putting his arms in the way didn’t help at all, so he curled up in an embryo’s pose and covered his head with his hands, but Nikki still managed to get to the most vulnerable spots on his body.
“Scream!” Nikki yelled, kicking him once again. “Scream for fucking mercy!”
Vince would have, but he had no voice left. The only sound he could manage was quiet wheezing. He couldn’t even breathe: just as he inhaled, Nikki’s boot would kick the air out of his lungs. The edges of his vision darkened, his tongue tasted blood in addition to stomach bile. At some point he distinctly felt one of his ribs crack under the assault.
Vince didn’t properly register when it all stopped: the pain consumed his whole being, dimmed all his perceptions. It took him a couple minutes to realise the kicks weren’t coming anymore. He peeked between his arms and saw Nikki’s legs pacing back and forth in and out of his field of vision. The floor planks vibrated under his feet.
Vince tried to inhale and began to cough violently. Blood splattered on the floor under his mouth. But when he finally got some air into his lungs, his chest exploded with pain. One of the ribs was tangibly shifting under his skin, every its movement sending sharp spikes of pain throughout his torso. Oh god. Was that even curable?
Nikki approached and squatted next to him. All Vince could see were his boots, boots that had just rammed into his flesh, bruising and breaking it. Then Nikki’s hand came into view and pushed Vince in the shoulder, turning him onto his back.
“So, how do you like that?” Nikki said completely casually. Vince would laugh at the contrast if it didn’t hurt so much.
“I don’t,” he croaked, his voice so raspy it was like his vocal cords got tied in a knot, and wiped snot and blood from his lips and chin. “Do you?”
“Does a teacher enjoy beating his bratty student? Or does he do it out of concern, to help him grow into a good person?” Nikki said philosophically.
“I think you do,” Vince continued, ignoring his reply. “We both know you aren’t doing this to make me better or something. It arouses you, to beat me up, to humiliate me. You get off of it.”
Nikki looked at him silently for a while, his expression unreadable. Then an uncanny grin widened on his face.
“I think you’re forgetting who you’re talking to here. It’s a big problem of yours, forgetting what your place is. We should work on that.”
He rose from the floor, his hand reaching for a knife on his belt. Whatever he was going to do Vince already didn’t like. But mere movement caused so much pain he could only writhe on the floor, let alone protect himself. When Nikki pried his body with his boot and turned him onto his stomach, his rib – broken? cracked? – reacted to it with a burst of pain so violent tears welled in Vince’s eyes. He breathed heavily, every inhale painful, and stared at the floor, where his blood, snot and tears all trickled down and mixed into small puddles. It was all foreplay to him, wasn’t it? Maybe Nikki was finally gonna fuck him and leave him alone. It now seemed the best thing out of all Nikki did to Vince today.
Then something heavy lowered onto Vince’s butt and pressed him to the floor, making him hiss in pain. Nikki saddled him from behind and fidgeted there a bit, getting comfortable. Then his cold fingers gently ran across Vince’s back.
“So soft, and not a single defect. Skin can tell a lot about a person, you know. Yours, for example, reveals just how easy a life you’ve had.” Nikki’s hand gathered loose strands of hair sticking to Vince’s back and moved them to his ears. “We should fix that.”
Vince knew what he was going to do, but this knowledge didn’t reduce the pain in a slightest. When the blade submerged into his skin just above his right shoulder blade, Vince couldn’t hold back whimpering. Much as he wanted to endure it like a man, with silent dignity, it didn’t happen. Fear, pure primal fear struck him, and he began kicking his legs, twisting his hips and flailing his arms, trying to push Nikki off his back.
Nikki was heavy enough that it didn’t bother him much, but it did interrupt the process, so he pressed Vince’s head to the floor with one hand and shifted his weight to it. Vince’s legs and arms couldn’t reach him now, and the pressure to his poor head and the all-consuming pain rendered him barely conscious.
He could only lay here and take it all in. Sharp pain following the knife carving something on his skin; hot drops of blood rolling down his back and drip onto the floor; throbbing ache in his lower chest; cold hard wooden floor; nauseating smell of vomit and blood; the heaviness of Nikki’s body on his own. It all was so much that he didn’t notice himself scratch the floor so hard his fingers left bloody traces on it.
At some point Vince lost consciousness. He wasn’t sure how much time he spent that way and how soon Nikki discovered it, but the awakening – a bucket of cold water – was extremely unpleasant.
“Hell no, you ain’t missing out on this,” Nikki said, throwing the bucket away. It rattled loudly across the floor, the sound as though driving nails into Vince’s head. Then Nikki got down to continue his work.
Vince couldn’t scream or cry anymore: he went out of tears, and his throat was so parched no sound could come out of it. He wished for death to come take him. Why had God forsaken him? Sure, he wasn’t overly pious in his life, he made his mistakes and committed his sins, but was it really so bad as to warrant such a punishment? Did he die in that first battle, and this was his own private hell? Was Nikki really human, or the Devil that had personally come to torture Vince? Was it all even real? Was he still alive? Was this pain forever?
He didn’t notice Nikki stop: the carving on his back burned too hot, too sharp to acknowledge whether there were still changes made to it. But then Nikki squatted down next to Vince’s face, a bloody knife in his hand.
“What do you say now?”
Vince said nothing.
“That is right. Finally you got it. Pity it took me all this blood and puke to get it into your stupid head.”
He rose to his feet.
“C’mon. Get up. Time to have some fun.”
Vince didn’t move. Nikki sighed.
“I see. Ideally, I should punish you for not following my orders, but, quite frankly, I’ve had enough of that. This foreplay has got too damn long.”
He hooked his arms under Vince’s armpits, lifted him off the floor and dropped him on the bed. The broken rib shifted under Vince’s skin again, but he barely noticed that. He barely noticed anything, to be fair. The world was swimming in front of his eyes, completely going black some moments, the sounds came as though through a thick layer of glass. His head couldn’t handle a half-coherent thought. He understood what Nikki was gonna do and he didn’t care anymore. Couldn’t be worse than what he had already done.
He was right. The sex was the mildest thing he had done to him that day. Vince did distantly register Nikki move inside him and moan into his back, but that was all to it. What was he even afraid of? This was so harmless, so painless. His ass might hurt for a couple hours after that, yes, but that was it. It was practically nothing.
Vince didn’t know how much time had passed, but eventually Nikki came and pulled out. Then he pulled up his pants and yelled something out of the cabin door. Soon someone else came in.
“Holy shit.” Tommy.
“What?”
“What the- what the hell did you do?”
“Taught him some manners.”
“You beat him half-dead!”
“Unfortunately, that’s what it took.”
Silence.
“What do you want me to do?”
“Take him to Izzy, or to the galley, or, I dunno, drop him off in the hold somewhere. Just get him out of my sight.”
The bedsheet under Vince’s body shifted. Tommy wrapped him in it, picked him up and carried him out of the cabin.
Vince inhaled the fresh sea breeze and blacked out.

Statistics for the Curious: Understanding Key Statistical Concepts for Non-Math Majors
Why Statistics Matter
Before delving into specific concepts, let's understand why statistics are relevant in various fields:
Data Interpretation: Statistics help us make sense of large datasets, allowing us to draw meaningful conclusions.
Decision Making: In business, healthcare, social sciences, and more, data-driven decisions are crucial for success.
Research: Whether you're conducting scientific research or a market analysis, statistics play a key role in drawing reliable conclusions.
Key Statistical Concepts for Non-Math Majors
Descriptive vs. Inferential Statistics:
Descriptive statistics involve organizing and summarizing data to describe its main features. Common descriptive measures include mean (average), median (middle value), and mode (most frequent value).
Inferential statistics go beyond description and involve making predictions or inferences about a population based on a sample of data.
Probability:
Probability is the likelihood of an event occurring. It is expressed as a number between 0 (impossible) and 1 (certain). Understanding probability helps in making decisions in uncertain situations.
Normal Distribution:
The normal distribution, often referred to as a bell curve, is a common pattern in data. Many natural phenomena, like human height or exam scores, follow this distribution. It's characterized by a symmetrical shape.
Sampling and Sampling Methods:
Sampling involves selecting a subset (sample) from a larger group (population). Common sampling methods include random sampling, stratified sampling, and convenience sampling.
Hypothesis Testing:
Hypothesis testing is a method used to determine if there's a significant difference between two or more groups or conditions. It involves formulating a hypothesis, collecting data, and using statistical tests to make conclusions.
Confidence Intervals:
Confidence intervals provide a range of values within which a population parameter is likely to fall. For example, a 95% confidence interval for the average height of a population might be 160-170 cm.
Statistical Significance:
Statistical significance indicates whether an observed effect or difference in data is likely to be genuine or if it could have occurred by chance. It's commonly used in research to validate findings.
Correlation vs. Causation:
Correlation is a statistical relationship between two variables. However, it doesn't imply causation, meaning that just because two variables are correlated doesn't mean one causes the other.
Regression Analysis:
Regression analysis explores the relationship between a dependent variable and one or more independent variables. It's used for prediction and understanding relationships in data.
The Role of SpeedyPaper
Statistics coursework and assignments can be challenging, especially for non-math majors. Here's how SpeedyPaper can assist:

Let Exam Tips be your go-to source for structured A Level Maths revision, practice insights, and proven study methods. Start mastering the topics that matter most—and leave the guesswork behind.
Mastering Algebraic Techniques and Expressions
Algebra forms the backbone of most questions in A Level Maths. You must be comfortable simplifying expressions, solving equations, and manipulating algebraic fractions. Factoring, expanding brackets, and completing the square are all skills that appear across different types of problems. Understanding how to use functions and their notations is equally important, especially when combined with graph sketching and transformations. Exam Tips recommends starting your A Level Maths revision by reinforcing these core algebraic techniques since they often build into more complex topics like calculus and trigonometry.
Deep Understanding of Calculus Fundamentals
Calculus is one of the most heavily weighted topics in A Level Maths exams. You’ll need to grasp the principles of differentiation and integration, including their real-world applications. This includes curve sketching, finding stationary points, calculating areas under curves, and solving problems involving rates of change. It's crucial to not only memorise formulas but also understand when and how to apply them effectively. A structured approach from Exam Tips ensures that your A Level Maths revision includes progressive problem-solving that reinforces both basic and advanced calculus skills.
Trigonometry and Its Real-World Applications
Trigonometry plays a key role in both pure and applied mathematics. You should be confident in using identities, solving equations, and working with radian measures. Real-world applications like modelling wave functions and solving vector problems often incorporate trigonometric principles. As you progress in your A Level Maths revision, practicing with unit circle diagrams and trigonometric transformations will help solidify your understanding. Exam Tips suggests integrating these concepts with questions from mechanics and coordinate geometry to deepen your problem-solving ability.
Working with Functions, Graphs, and Transformations
A thorough understanding of functions and graphs is essential to A Level Maths success. You’ll encounter a variety of functions including linear, quadratic, exponential, and logarithmic forms. Being able to draw, transform, and interpret graphs is a skill tested across both Paper 1 and Paper 2. Students are often required to analyse roots, intercepts, and asymptotes. As part of your A Level Maths revision plan, Exam Tips encourages consistent graph-based practice to develop a visual intuition for mathematical relationships and behaviour of functions.
Statistical Techniques and Probability Concepts
The statistics component in A Level Maths includes data representation, hypothesis testing, and interpreting statistical diagrams. It also requires understanding of key distributions, such as binomial and normal. Probability questions often involve Venn diagrams, conditional probability, and expected outcomes. These questions test your ability to apply logical thinking to real-world scenarios. Exam Tips recommends integrating statistical problem sets into your A Level Maths revision early on, so you become comfortable with data interpretation and numerical reasoning.
Mechanics: Kinematics and Newton’s Laws
Mechanics introduces physical applications of mathematical theory, with a focus on motion, forces, and energy. You’ll need to understand velocity-time graphs, equations of motion, and the principles of Newton’s laws. Problems often involve modelling real-life scenarios with diagrams and resolving forces in components. Exam Tips advises students to connect mechanics with algebra and calculus topics, as many problems overlap conceptually. A Level Maths revision should include both conceptual learning and practice-based assessments in this area.
Solving Realistic Modelling and Word Problems
A Level Maths increasingly includes worded problems that require mathematical modelling. These questions assess not only your computational ability but also your analytical thinking. You must identify relevant information, translate it into mathematical form, solve the problem, and interpret your result. Topics such as exponential growth and decay, optimisation, and dynamics often appear in this format. As you revise with Exam Tips resources, focus on breaking down complex questions into manageable parts. Developing this skill will greatly improve your overall exam performance.
Conclusion
Succeeding in A Level Maths requires more than just learning formulas — it demands deep understanding and consistent practice. By focusing your A Level Maths revision on the essential topics discussed above, you’ll build a strong, exam-ready foundation. Exam Tips is committed to helping students unlock their potential with focused guidance, practical resources, and expert strategies. Remember, success in maths isn’t about doing everything — it’s about doing the right things the right way. Stay focused, stay curious, and trust the process.

Top 10 Core Companies Hiring Electrical Engineers in India
If you’re studying electrical engineering or thinking of taking it up, one big question you probably have is: “Where can I actually get a job after this?” Well, you’re not alone. Many students are curious about which companies are serious about hiring electrical engineers in India — and more importantly, what they actually look for.
Let’s break it down. Below is a list of top 10 core companies that regularly hire electrical engineers. These aren't just names you read in textbooks — these are the companies where your classroom learning can really come alive.
1. BHEL (Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited)
BHEL is one of the biggest government-owned engineering companies in India. It works in power generation, transmission, and various energy-related projects. They often hire freshers from campus through GATE scores, especially those with strong fundamentals in electrical machines, circuits, and control systems.
2. NTPC (National Thermal Power Corporation)
NTPC runs several of India's power plants. Electrical engineers here get to work on real-time control systems, maintenance of high-voltage equipment, and more. If you’re looking for a stable and well-paying job in the public sector, NTPC is definitely a great option.
3. Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL)
PGCIL is all about transmitting electricity across India. It’s like the country’s backbone when it comes to power supply. Electrical engineers working here handle grid operations, fault detection, protection systems, and network planning.
4. Siemens India
A global name, Siemens has a strong presence in India’s energy and automation sectors. They recruit electrical engineers for roles in smart grids, automation, power distribution, and product development. If you enjoy both software and hardware, this place offers a good mix.
5. ABB India
ABB is known for its automation and electrification solutions. They hire electrical engineers to work on industrial robotics, power systems, and sustainable energy tech. Their training programs for fresh graduates are pretty hands-on too.
6. Larsen & Toubro (L&T)
L&T is a giant when it comes to infrastructure and electrical projects. Whether it’s a metro station, power substation, or factory setup, they’re probably involved. L&T hires electrical engineers for design, project execution, and fieldwork.
7. Tata Power
Tata Power is active in both conventional and renewable energy. They need engineers who understand power system protection, energy efficiency, and plant maintenance. They also run internships that sometimes lead to full-time roles.
8. GE (General Electric) India
GE India focuses on energy and healthcare technologies. Electrical engineers here may get roles in research, design, or servicing of advanced systems. This is a good option for those who want a global exposure while working in India.
9. Schneider Electric
Schneider deals with energy management and automation. Their roles often involve product testing, circuit design, energy audits, and solutions for smart homes and industries. If you’re into sustainability, you’ll like what they do.
10. Indian Railways (Through RRB or GATE)
Yes, Indian Railways hires lots of electrical engineers. From maintaining electrification systems to managing power supply in trains and stations, it’s a field that keeps engineers on their toes. You need to clear competitive exams, but it’s a rewarding career path.
What Do These Companies Look For?
Most of these companies prefer candidates who are strong in basics, good with practical applications, and open to fieldwork. While government PSUs rely mostly on GATE scores, private companies often prefer candidates who’ve done internships or taken part in live projects.
This is why studying in an institute that blends theory with hands-on training can be helpful. Some of the best private engineering colleges in Odisha have updated labs and strong industry connections to help students prepare for these roles.
I remember a friend of mine from NMIET telling me how their college hosted a project showcase on renewable energy systems, which later helped him get shortlisted for a campus interview at a reputed company. These small exposures really add up when you're applying for core jobs.
Quick Tips for Electrical Engineering Students
Work on basic concepts: Subjects like electrical machines, power systems, and measurements are important in interviews.
Join workshops: Whether it's on Arduino, IoT, or energy simulation, practical learning makes a difference.
Prepare for GATE: If you’re aiming for PSUs, cracking GATE with a good score opens doors.
Intern whenever possible: Summer internships help you understand how theory applies in real-world setups.
Wrapping Up
There’s no shortage of opportunities for electrical engineers in India — you just need the right skills and mindset. Whether you're planning to work in a thermal power plant, a smart grid startup, or a renewable energy firm, there's a role for you out there. And if you're still deciding where to study, it helps to explore colleges that support both academics and placements. A few of the best private engineering colleges in Odisha are already aligning their teaching methods with what the industry expects. Just be sure to keep learning, stay curious, and be open to new experiences — that’s what really sets you apart.
