One Thing After Another
AN: What??? Two fics two days in a row??? Shocking, I know, but I had to write this for my final assignment in my superheroes class and I can’t just let it sit around. This is a Big Hero 6 fic based later in the second season of the show. You don’t have to have seen it if you wanna read it, but there’s two minor characters from the show in this fic and mentions of some of their villains if you really care about spoilers. And since this was a school assignment, it’s not my particular, ahem, brand of fics. Kinda went back to my roots for this one, all aboard the angst train! Hiro can’t catch a break, I really said fuck them kids bro (fr tho this show is awesome, you should really check it out!)
Hiro was tired. Scratch that, he was exhausted. They had to split up the team last night because Globby decided to try and pull of a jewelry heist while High Voltage robbed a bank, and Hiro ended up getting slammed against the giant metal vault. The resulting crack and shooting pain in his ribs wasn't a good sign, but he tried his best to hide the injury from Wasabi. The last thing he wanted was for him to freak out and go into mother hen mode. Keeping Baymax quiet about it was a task in and of itself, but he managed to get him far enough away from his friend to ease his concerns.
"I promise I'll ice it when we get home," he assured before shifting back to the task at hand.
High Voltage got away with a few bags stuffed to the brim with cash, leaving both Hiro and Wasabi twitching on the floor, hair fried and frizzed. They left feeling defeated, and Hiro was not in a good mood on the way back.
He was able to sneak into his room with relative ease, but not without a quick trip to the kitchen. He opened the freezer ever so slowly, grabbing the ice tray. Then, just as slowly, he closed the freezer door, easing the seal on the fridge shut. He grabbed a plastic bag from a drawer and headed up the stairs. It was the most tense few seconds he'd had that night, which was saying something.
Once in his room, he cracked the ice tray and dropped the remaining cubes in the bag. He took his time laying down on his bed, but he couldn't get comfortable.
He was facing the wall when he heard a beep, followed by an inflating fan. Out of the corner of his eye he watched Baymax shuffle to his bathroom and fumble around before returning to his bedside.
"Here, take this. It is an anti-inflammatory pain reliever. Pain management is important when healing rib fractures."
"Yeah yeah, take ibuprofen when it hurts too much. Thanks Baymax," he said, accepting the pill and glass of water. He grimaced as he sat up to take a drink.
Baymax returned from Tadashi's side of the room carrying extra pillows. He began meticulously placing them around Hiro.
"Uhh, what're you doing?"
"It is advised that you sleep upright. I will try to make you as comfortable as possible." Baymax took his time fluffing and arranging the pillows, patting his head before heading to the corner where Mochi was sleeping.
Hiro couldn't get comfortable to save his life. He always despised sleeping propped up, even when sick with a stuffy nose that left you gasping and flopping around in bed like a fish out of water. But now he couldn't fidget or toss and turn to get comfortable because even the slightest movement sent shockwaves of pain throughout his body. He just laid there, staring up at the ceiling as he let his thoughts spiral.
It didn't help that the pillows still smelled like Tadashi. He wasn't aware that his brother had a distinct scent until this moment, and he was struck with a sudden wave of grief.
Oh yeah, he wasn't going to get any sleep that night.
When his alarm went off, he was deliriously tired and aching from head to toe. It took him a while to pull himself out of bed, the melted ice pack flopping onto the floor as he stood. There was no way in hell he was bending over to pick it up, so he just kicked it under his bed. A problem for future Hiro.
He made it to the bathroom, glancing in the mirror before brushing his teeth. He jumped back when he saw his reflection, letting out a startled yelp. His eyes were bloodshot, skin pale with a thin sheen of sweat, and his hair was standing on end as if he were the Bride of Frankenstein. He swore he could see a quick spark of static electricity among the loose tangled.
He washed his face, enjoying the cool rag in his heated skin. He ran it under the faucet and squeezed out the water, resting it on the back of his neck.
Getting downstairs was a struggle, but luckily Baymax was at his side to help him ease down the steps.
Aunt Cass immediately knew something wasn't right.
"Oh my God what's wrong?" she exclaimed, rushing to the foot of the stairs and taking him from Baymax.
"Nothing's wrong, I just had a bad night's sleep is all," he tried to play it off.
"That's bologna and you know it!" she scolded, pointing a finger at him. He sighed, but even that hurt. She noticed the flinch and small grimace that came with the action.
"Hiro, what on earth did you do to yourself? I swear if this is because you snuck out to go bot fighting-"
"I didn't, I swear!" he cut her off. "I-I got jumped. On my way home from school yesterday. Some guys on the tram wanted to steal my backpack and I wouldn't let them, so they beat me up. I just- I didn't want you know because you already worry about me so much."
Her expression softened, though there was true concern in her eyes. "Oh Hiro, I'm always going to worry about you. But hiding something that serious from me is exactly why I worry so much! I mean, do you even hear yourself? You were attacked on your way home! I knew the crime rate is on the rise, but this is ridiculous! What did they do to you? Did they steal anything important?" she asked, hovering over him, and touching his face and hair. He slipped away, holding her hand to keep her at bay.
"I'm fine, really. They just... punched me around until they got my bag and when they saw it was full of homework, they tossed it back and left. That's it," he said, hoping she would buy into his lie. She practically deflated, flinging herself at her nephew and grabbing him in a crushing hug. He hissed in pain and shoved her away before he could think better of it.
"Sorry, sorry! Does it really hurt that bad?" she asked hesitantly.
"Just really sore, I-I'll be fine. Gotta get to school, don't wanna be late," he said, inching towards the door. Aunt Cass grabbed a few extra pastries and stuffed them in his lunch sack.
"Don't forget your lunch! I threw in a little something extra."
"Thanks Aunt Cass."
When she didn't answer, he turned around to face her. "What?"
"Maybe have Wasabi walk you home."
"I'll be fine-"
"Well you weren't yesterday!" Cass exclaimed before calming herself with a deep breath. "San Fransokyo isn't the city it used to be. Every day there's something else. It's not safe out there Hiro. At least, not like it used to be."
Hiro stepped closer, reaching out to touch her arm. "I-I know. But Big Hero 6 is taking care of it! They're making sure the city's safe. For everyone."
She sighed, a soft smile finding its way onto her face. "I have to admit, it has brought me some peace of mind. But they're not invincible either. So be careful out there, okay? You see any trouble, you come straight home."
"Yeah okay. I really gotta go now, okay bye!" With one more quick hug, he rushed out the door, Baymax in tow.
He was relieved when he made it to school, and even more relieved that he had open lab first thing. It was a much needed buffer period to wake himself up and attempt to act normal. When he walked in, Honey Lemon tried to mask her grimace with a smile.
"Hirooo! You look..." she trailed off, unable to find a nice way to voice her thoughts. Go-Go took one look at him and decided to answer on her behalf.
"You look like hot garbage. What's up?"
"Nothing! I just couldn't sleep last night, y'know?"
Honey Lemon sat down next to him. "Anything in particular bothering you?"
Yes, everything, he wanted to say.
"Nah, Wasabi and I just finished up late and I wasn't able to get comfortable. And uh... I was thinking about Tadashi," he admitted.
"He would be so proud of you," she said, taking his hand and holding it in both of hers. "But I know he'd also be worried. You need to make sure to take care of yourself, and that includes getting enough rest."
He rolled his eyes, yanking his arm back. "Now you're just sounding like Baymax," he teased. The robot looked their way when he heard his name and shuffled over.
"She is right. Rest is important for someone in your condition."
Honey Lemon whipped around to look at Hiro. "What's he talking about?" Before he could answer, Baymax began to explain.
"Hiro has broken-"
"A broken heart!" he rapidly cut him off. Honey Lemon blinked in surprise and even Go-Go peaked out of her work cubicle, blowing a bubble with her gum to show she was listening in as well.
"Yeeeaaah, I just- can't get over Trina! Yeah, she was the first girl I liked since, um, everything, and her being a robot came as a shock, and I just, I can't get her out of my head," he rambled, silently praying they'd believe him.
"Oh Hiro, that's okay. There's plenty of cute girls your age! You just have to put yourself out there, you'll find someone," she comforted.
Okay, maybe the broken heart route wasn't the way to go, but he panicked.
Go-Go narrowed her eyes, looking him up and down from across the lab.
"I don't know what you're hiding, but you better hope I don't find out," she threatened before going back to her work.
"He's not hiding anything! He's just a little embarrassed about this sort of thing, right Hiro?"
"R-right. I'm nervous because I don't really have anyone to go to about this sort of thing," he bluffed, though there was a fair amount of truth to his words. It just wasn't the problem currently at hand.
"You know you can always come to us about this sort of thing."
Go-Go grunted and went back to her own work.
"Well, you can come to me." She stood up, giving him a kiss on the head before heading to her own station. He wiped off the lipgloss from his forehead, scowling at the sticky glittery smudge on the back of his hand. He wiped it off on his jeans, going back to his notes. And just like that, he was out like a light.
He woke up when his head slipped out of his hand that kept him propped up, face slamming on the desk. He jolted up too fast and hissed in pain, instantly reaching to hold his side, but even his own touch sent a sharp pain through his nerves. He checked to make sure nobody noticed.
Luckily, everyone seemed to be wrapped up in their own projects. He noticed Fred and Wasabi had arrived since he'd fallen asleep. He checked his phone and was shocked to see there was only 15 minutes left in the lab. Fred was talking to Honey Lemon about something and perked up when he noticed Hiro was awake.
She turned around and saw him sitting up at his desk and she turned back to Fred, speaking softly, "Oh Fred, not right now."
He was practically vibrating with excitement, and he was never one to listen. "He just needs a little something to brighten his day," he said with an evil chuckle. He soared across the lab on a rolling chair, skidding to a stop next to Hiro.
"What?"
"There's a new chapter of-"
"Nope." Hiro cut him off, pushing away from the desk and walking towards the door. Fred easily kept up in his wheelie chair and began reading the new chapter aloud.
"We last left our heroes in the abandoned five star restaurant, trapped in the deep freezer by Momakase," Fred narrated with a dramatic voice. Hiro groaned as he reached up to plug his ears. Fred raised his voice.
""What're we gonna do?" Tall Girl cried as-"
"I'm really not that tall," Honey Lemon interjected. Fred gave her a pointed look, making a show of clearing his throat before continuing.
""What're we gonna do?" Tall Girl cried as she failed to melt the hinges off the door. "Stand back, I got this!" Captain Cutie said, his deep voice demanding attention."
Hiro groaned and leaned against the wall, smacking his head repeatedly. "Why do you enjoy torturing me?" he asked weakly.
"Come on, where's that deep, commanding voice of yours?" Fred teased, rolling out of the way when Hiro swatted at him.
"It's not like I could use my normal voice! She would've recognized me for sure!" he felt the need to defend himself.
"No offense, but your voice isn't what she cares about," Go-Go interjected. When everyone stared at her, she shrugged. "What? You made all our suits tight and I've caught her staring," she deadpanned, but a teasing smirk was tugging at her lips.
"Aah-Didn't ask!" he cried, hands flying up to cover his ears. Fred managed to snatch his wrist and pried his hand away from his ear and continued reading.
"Captain Cutie pointed at the giant metal door, looking to Red Panda with a nod. Red Panda shot his rocket fist and blasted the door clean off! It fell to the floor with a heavy clang, a blast of cold air rushing out of the freezer and into the vacant industrial kitchen. As the team escaped their frigid prison, Karmi hesitated."
Fred let out a small gasp before continuing, "Captain Cutie paused in the doorway, looking over his shoulder at his girlfriend. "Aren't you coming?" he asked, voice laced with concern. Karmi looked away, biting her lip. "I'm scared." She felt a gentle hand cup her chin, tilting her head up to meet his gaze. "You have nothing to be afraid of. I'm right here, and I won't let anything happen to you.""
Hiro literally gagged when he heard those words, checking his watch before packing up his things. Despite his clear disinterest, Fred continued reading.
"Karmi's heart skipped a beat, her cheeks flushing slightly. "I know, but Momakase-" Captain Cutie put a finger to her lips, cutting her off. "Shhh. I know what you're going to say. It's not your fault Karmi." She took his hand, lacing their fingers together. The simple touch was comforting for them both. Karmi sighed, "But if she hadn't kidnapped me, we'd all be safe." Her voice was dejected and her shoulders sagged downward. Captain Cutie placed a gentle hand on her shoulder. "Look at me. It is not your fault, okay? We're gonna get through this. Together." She nodded hesitantly, offering a timid smile. Suddenly, the sound of Chop Chop's voice echoed down the hall calling for them. Karmi took a step towards the open doorway, only for Captain Cutie to grab ahold of her wrist. She looked over her shoulder to see her boyfriend raise the face shield of his helmet. "Wha-" but before she could speak, he pulled her close, their bodies flush against each other. He leaned in, slowly closing the distance before their lips me-"
Thank God the bell cut him off before he could finish that sentence. Hiro grabbed his bag and bolted out the door as fast as his fractured ribs would allow him to move.
As soon as he was out of view from his friends, he dropped the normal facade and a pained expression settled on his face. He walked to an empty table in the hall and dug around his backpack until he found the bottle of ibuprofen he'd packed that morning. He chugged down a few gulps from his water bottle, leaning against Baymax's squishy body for support and comfort.
The distinct sound of clacking heels on linoleum approached from behind and passed him in the hall. The footsteps came to a halt before turning around and approaching Hiro.
"Mr. Hamada?"
Hiro jumped to attention with a yelp of surprise and pain as his eyes flew open. Professor Granville was staring at him with confused concern, looking him up and down.
"Professor Granville! I-I was just on my way to class!"
"Mhm, so I see. I was hoping to run into you."
Hiro's stomach sank like a rock. "Y-you did? If this is about the expo, I already have a solid idea for my project."
She gave a tight lipped smile. "I'm glad to hear that, though that's not what I wished to discuss." She took a seat on the table next to Hiro's bag. "I saw the bank robbery on the news this morning. That was quite a hit you took on the vault door, and I just wanted to see if you're alright."
Her genuine concern both touched and shocked him. "Oh, uh, thanks but I'm okay." When she arched a skeptical brow, he sighed in defeat. "Baymax says I have fractures on two ribs on the left side. But I've been taking pain meds every few hours and I'll ice it when I get home. Thanks for looking out for me," he said, voice small.
Granville's expression softened. "I'm... sorry to hear that Hiro. When I was about your age, my father fell off the roof when cleaning out the gutters. He broke a rib when he hit a branch on the way down, and it was really hard on him. It's okay to take breaks when you need them Hiro."
He was quiet for a few moments. "I know, but I can't really afford that right now. Aunt Cass would want an explanation, and everyone would worry even more than they already do and- People need me to be there." His voice was on the verge of desperation.
Professor Granville's eyes widened as he spoke. "You mean you haven't told them?"
"Well Aunt Cass kinda knows? She could tell I was hurt so I lied and told her some guy tried to steal my backpack. But I didn't really tell her."
"But wasn't Wasabi with you when it happened?"
"Yeah, but you know how he is. He'd freak out, maybe faint, he'd make a huge deal over it," he explained. Granville frowned.
"Take it from me, broken ribs are nothing to scoff at. They require time and rest to heal properly. And to attempt to hide such a thing..." she trailed off and shook her head. She stood, brushing off her skirt. "I'm disappointed Mr Hamada." She took a few steps, stopping in front of Baymax.
"Take care of him."
Baymax blinked. "Hiro is my primary patient. His health is my top priority." She smiled sadly, patting his puffy arm as she passed. Hiro watched her walk down the hall, groaning as he laid down on the table.
Thankfully class went by rather quickly, but the day was already wearintg down on him. Needless to say, he was ready for lunch. He met Wasabi on his way out of the classroom, his mind distant as Wasabi talked about his upcoming thesis. He tried to remain engaged, but Wasabi could tell he wasn't fully listening.
"Somethin' on your mind little man? You know you can talk to me." His tone was light and casual, offering him a friendly smile. Hiro automatically returned it with a smile of his own, though his was considerably less genuine.
"Yeah, everything's just been a lot. And I slept like crap last night."
"Everything alright?"
"I guess. I just couldn't get my brain to shut up, and I kept thinking about Tadashi. Just... one of those nights, y'know?"
Wasabi frowned as he spoke, and he wrapped an arm around Hiro's shoulders.
"Sadly I do. Grief is hard, and it's not something that just goes away. It can help to talk about it, even if it's pretty much the last thing you wanna do."
"Thanks Wasabi, but I don't think I'm really ready to talk..."
"Hey, that's okay! Forget I said anything. But just know the offer's open anytime." He gave his shoulder a friendly pat before heading down the stairs. Hiro watched the way he gripped the handrail for dear life, taking them one step at a time. He could hear him mumbling under his breath, "Stupid stairs, so steep it feels like I'm climbing down a mountain."
Hiro huffed out a quick chuckle before following him to the cafeteria. Professor Granville's words echoed in his mind, a pang of guilt coursing through him as he stared at the back of Wasabi's head.
The day was really starting to take its toll on him, and it showed in his quiet, slightly exhausted demeanor. He picked at his lunch, only feeling up to eating half of it, opting to idly poke at the rest. He tuned in and out of the conversation at random. Luckily no one seemed to notice his disassociated state, or if they did, they decided not to pry.
Karmi was walking through the cafeteria when she spotted their table, a mischievous smirk tugging at her lips. Creeping up behind Hiro, she held a finger to her lips to signal the rest of the group to keep quiet.
"BOO!" she screamed as she lunged forward, grabbing him on either side. Karmi had expected hun to jump, maybe shriek like a scared little girl. But the scream that ripped from Hiro's throat was one of genuine pain. Karmi immediately jumped back, holding her hands in the air. He was doubled over clutching his lower ribs, a low groan escaping his lips.
Everyone froze in shock, mouths agape.as they stared at them. "Um, what was that?" Go-Go asked, shooting daggers at Karmi, then Hiro.
"I barely touched him, I swear!" she insisted, guilt written all over her face.
"It's fine," he grunted out.
"I'm sorry Karmi, could you excuse us for a second?" Honey Lemon asked in her usual bubbly voice.
"Uh, yeah sure. You sure you're okay Hiro?" she asked, reaching out with a gentle hand. He flinched away from the touch.
"Yes, okay?" he snapped in irritation. He took a deep breath and sighed in defeat. "I'm sorry, but I kinda need to talk about something, so could you give us a little privacy?"
"Oh! Um, yeah, of course." She walked away, shooting a worried glance over her shoulder. Go-Go and Wasabi spoke at the same time.
"Wanna tell us what all that was about?"
"I thought you said you were okay!"
"Hold up, what is going on?" Fred asked, looking around the table cluelessly.
"I asked you! I asked if you were okay and you lied to my face!" Wasabi exclaimed.
"B-But I didn't-"
Wasabi cut him off, which was never a good sign. "I'm talking about last night," he said sternly, arms crossed over his chest. Oh he was pissed.
"I didn't want you to worry?" he said, voice small and timid as he sank further in his seat.
"Well now we're all worried. So spill."
Hiro didn't speak for a while, but he finally decided it was time to come clean. "Last night when I was thrown into the bank vault, I apparently fractured a few ribs." He barreled on when he saw Wasabi open his mouth to retort. "But this is exactly why I didn't wanna say anything! I knew you'd freak out, and you wouldn't let me patrol with you guys."
"But didn't you make a remote controlled suit? You can still patrol and get the rest you need," Honey Lemon said, placing a comforting hand on his shoulder. He shrugged it off.
"Yeah, but it's not the same. It makes it feel so... distant. But I guess I don't really have a choice, do I?" he snarked, sinking even lower in the chair. He was definitely pouting, but he'd never admit it.
"Just until you're healed, okay Hiro?" Honey Lemon said in a chipper tone to try to lift his spirits. It didn't seem to work.
"Yeah okay, sure. Whatever."
A buzz in his pocket grabbed his attention. He pulled out his phone, checking his texts. It was from Krei. Greeeaaat.
Hey kiddo!
"Ugh," Hiro scoffed and rolled his eyes, continuing to read.
Don't bother stopping by for the internship today, I'm giving you the day off! See, I can be a nice boss! I have to get ready for a date and I don't really like the idea of you having free reign in my lab.
Hiro had barely begun to type a response when another text came through.
Don't be mad, but I'm taking Cass out to dinner. I stopped by the café on my lunch break and apologized for last time and she said she'd give me a second chance! :D Mochi seemed to think it was a good idea HAHA! Fr though, hope you're not mad at me.
Hiro was more than mad: he was seething.
He threw his phone down on the table and snapped the plastic fork he'd been clutching in half. "Can this day get any worse!"
Fred leaned in, reading the texts over his shoulder. "Look on the bright side, you don't have to go to work! Buuut Krei is still trying to make a move on your aunt so I see your dilemma," he pondered aloud, stroking his chin in thought.
"Ew. I thought she was done with him after that whole imposter incident," Go-Go said through a mouthful of sushi.
"You know how she is, she's way too nice to turn someone down, especially now that I work for the guy. And it doesn't help that she still thinks he's," he paused as a shiver ran down his spine. "Handsome." A chorus of ew's and gross rang out across the table.
"Hey, it's alright bud. She'll come to her senses and realize he's just another corporate sleaze like everyone says he is," Wasabi consoled him.
"But that's just it! He's not that empty shell of a Ken doll we're used to, and that's what I hate! I mean, yeah he's pretty much the most annoying adult I've ever met, but he's honestly halfway decent. He can be nice if he wants to be, and he's actually funny. Cass loves men who can make her laugh! What am I gonna do?" he cried out miserably, flopping against Wasabi's shoulder.
"It'll be okay Hiro. Even if this date goes well, he's bound to fumble the ball at some point. Then, she'll see what a turd burglar he really is and drop him like a hot potato," Fred said with such confidence, Hiro actually believed him.
"Thanks guys, really. It means a lot.
"Any time."
"Today's been... a lot. I think I'm gonna head up to the lab and work on some stuff."
"Want any company?"
"Thanks for the offer but I'll pass. Think I just need some time to myself, maybe take a nap. We'll see," he shrugged, turning around to head towards his lab. Tadashi's lab. Yeah, he needed to be alone.
He was working on a prototype for a more efficient saltwater purification system when he heard the door open. He responded without looking up, deep in his work despite his hunched posture wrecking havoc on his battered ribcage.
"Look, I appreciate you guys checking up on me, but I just want to be alone right no-" he froze as he sat up to face the intruder, expecting Fred or maybe Honey Lemon, but instead Karmi was standing in the doorway.
"Relax nerd, it's just me. I uh, brought a peace offering." Hiro furrowed his brows in confusion before noticing the ice pack in her hand.
"Y-you really didn't have to do that," he insisted, but she cut him off.
"I didn't know you were hurt, I was just trying to scare you. Professor Granville told me you broke a few ribs. I'm really sorry."
"It's fine, you didn't know."
Karmi took a seat next to him. He gave her a side eye and scooted away.
"From the sound of it, your friends didn't know either." When Hiro didn't answer, she continued. "Why didn't you tell them?"
"They already worry about me, I didn't want to give them an actual reason to. They were all Tadashi's friends first, and he's the one who introduced me. I just feel like... now that he's gone, they think they have to watch out for me on his behalf or something. I don't know, it just makes me feel like some kind of burden. Like, I can look out for myself!" Karmi blinked in shock, not expecting him to open up like that.
"I'm sorry for dumping all this on you."
"Don't be. I'm... I'm glad you told me. Sometimes, I think the regular college students forget what it was like to be a teen. Surprising seeing as it was just a few years ago for them," she chuckled, trying to lighten the mood. He offered a short lived smile, which was good enough for her.
"Heh, guess you're right."
"Aren't I always?"
"Ha, you wish."
They fell into an awkward silence, both of them adverting their gaze.
"Well, I guess I should go, you seemed pretty busy when I walked in."
Hiro pressed the ice pack against his arching ribs and visibly relaxed under the cold pressure. "You don't have to go, since you're already in here." She silently accepted the offer with a smug grin as sat back down.
"Well if you insist. Oh! I just posted a new chapter of my fic, want me to read it while you work?"
Although he wasn't able to hide the full body cringe that overtook him, he merely nodded, accepting his fate. She'd read it regardless, might as well give her permission.
Hiro's life was overwhelming to say the least. The loss of his brother, becoming a superhero, unmasking a villain, it was a lot to deal with. But sometimes, there were days that just threw everything at him. Broken ribs, a self insert written by his worst frenemy (where they're daring no less), his friends finding out about said injury, and his boss is trying to date his aunt was a lot to deal with individually, so having all of that happen within 24 hours was extremely overwhelming. But he wasn't alone. He had people who cared about him. He would just have to take it as it comes and deal with it one day at a time.
One thing after another.

Best Buddies Chapter 6 (Modern Benedict Bridgerton x plus size!fem!reader)
✨Masterlist✨
✨Last Chapter✨
The Friday after their weekend at Aubrey Hall, Benedict was invited to a party held by his university, and he was allowed one guest. Of course Y/n would be the one accompanying him.
Benedict fixed his hair, hearing Y/n call for him. He froze in the doorway, once again stunned by her beauty. He smiled, "What did you call me for, love?"
Y/n looked up at Benedict, "Yes, I need some assistance zipping my dress up." She turned around so he could help her.
Benedict slowly zipped up her dress and rubbed her waist, kissing her cheek, "You look beautiful, as always, love."
~
Their friendship had gotten much more physically affectionate, not that either one minded. They were rarely apart. Benedict was simply waiting for the right moment to talk with her about his feelings for her. Y/n was taking what she could with him, hoping that just maybe it would turn into something more.
~
Y/n leaned into Benedict and smiled, "Thank you, Benny." She turned around, fixing his bowtie, "So handsome, are you ready?"
Benedict gave her a crooked smile, "Yes, are you ready as well, love?"
Y/n nodded, "I have to pick out a pair of shoes, then I should be ready."
Benedict playfully groaned, "We're going to be here forever!"
Y/n laughed and playfully smacked his chest, "Help me pick a pair and we'll be on our way."
Benedict chuckled, "Fine, what are the options?" Y/n gave him three options and he picked the middle, he explained, "Those go best with your dress."
Y/n put her shoes on, then grabbed her clutch, "I am ready, Benny."
~
Benedict was nervous about Y/n meeting his friends from art school, he was so proud of her that he only wanted to make her proud.
Benedict parked his car and quickly walked around to open her door for her. He held her hand, helping her out of the car and closing the door behind her. He smiled, "Are you ready, love?"
Y/n smiled, "I am ready, but a bit nervous, I do hope your friends here like me."
Benedict linked arms with her, leading her into the school, "I don't see why they wouldn't love you, you are after all, my best friend, the dearest person to my heart."
Y/n's cheeks tinged pink, "You do have a way with words, my dear Benny." She could tell he was excited for her to meet his other friends.
Benedict kissed her cheek, moving his hand to her lower back, "If anything, they may end up liking you better than they like me."
Y/n looked up at Benedict, "Not possible, Benny."
Benedict saw his group of friends approaching, he held Y/n's waist, "Hello! You guys wished to meet Y/n, here she is. My very best friend."
Y/n waved shyly, not used to such concentrated attention on her, "Hello, lovely to meet you all."
They all introduced themselves individually, but it was a girl with wildly curly brunette hair who spoke up, "Benedict talks about you all the time, you have been close to a myth within our group. It's great to meet you, Y/n."
Y/n grinned, "Thank you, I must confess that I was nervous to meet you all."
One of the guys replied, "We have all been curious about you, but I believe we'd all like to get to know you better."
Y/n nodded in kind, "I feel much the same way."
~
After a considerable time spent chatting with Benedict's friends, Y/n saw someone who she assumed to be a teacher approaching them.
Benedict followed her gaze, "Ah, Professor Grandville, lovely to see you."
Professor Grandville smiled, "Hello, Bridgerton, might you introduce me to your friend?"
Benedict grinned, "Of course, Professor Grandville, this is Y/n Y/L/n, my best friend since secondary school. Y/n, this is my drawing professor, Professor Grandville."
Professor Grandville smiled, "Lovely to meet you, Y/L/n."
Y/n smiled, "Lovely to meet you too." She rested in Benedict's lap, she had been enjoying the company of his friends. Y/n could tell he was fading fast, "Benedict, Benny, you look tired, how about we call it a night?"
Benedict held her close to his chest, despite his smile, he knew she saw through it, "Yes, I suppose it is that time, love." They both stood up and said their goodbyes to his friends.
The girl with the wild brunette hair, who Y/n learned was named Lela, hugged Y/n gently, "Don't be a stranger, we'd all love to see you again. Benedict has kept you from us for as long as he could."
Y/n returned her hug, "I would love that, to see you all again. But for now, we must depart, Benny here doesn't last long once he gets tired."
A blonde man approached the group, he strode over to Y/n and took her hand, kissing her knuckles and pulling her to her feet effortlessly, "Excuse me for being so forward, but you are gorgeous, I saw you and I couldn't help myself."
Y/n was very taken aback, "Oh, wow, I- um,-"
The blonde chuckled, "Forgive me, I neglected to introduce myself properly, I'm Lance Barnaby."
Y/n blushed a bit, mostly from the spectacle he put her in, but he was certainly handsome, "Y/n Y/L/n."
Lance smiled, "Charmed. So what brings you here? I'd remember you if I'd seen you before."
"I'm here with my best friend, to support him," Y/n looked at Benedict for some sort of rescue, but he wasn't even looking at her.
Benedict couldn't watch that prick woo her, he literally stole her from Benedict's lap! Benedict knew that if he looked at her, his face would say things he can't tell her here. But, he was also afraid of seeing her with the wrong man.
Lance nodded politely, "Very well, could I give you my number?"
Feeling far too awkward, especially without Benedict backing her up, she stuttered, "Yeah, okay."
~
Benedict had been giving Y/n the silent treatment since Lance approached her.
As they arrived home, Y/n took her heels off and turned to Benedict. She put her hands on her hips, "Enough, you need to talk to me right now, Bridgerton."
Benedict grumbled under his breath, knowing she wouldn't be able to understand. He turned to go to his bedroom, accepting that there would be no sleepover tonight.
Y/n grabbed his hand, "Benedict, Benny, you haven't talked to me in over an hour. I miss your voice, please." That broke his heart, but he couldn't talk to her about it, not yet. He kissed her head and walked to his room.
She was quick on his heals, closing his bedroom door behind her and locking it. She stayed pressed against the door knob so he wouldn't try to escape, "Talk to me." Benedict remained silent as he entered his closet to change. Y/n leaned against his bedroom door, "I'm not leaving you alone until we talk. What did I do to deserve the silent treatment from you?"
Benedict emerged from the closet in sweatpants and a white t-shirt, his hair was more relaxed, and she could see he was upset, she needed to know why. He picked her up with ease and unlocked the door, placing her on the other side of it.
Y/n put her hand on the door, "Don't you fucking dare, Benedict. We are going to talk."
Benedict snapped, "Not tonight, Y/n!" He saw fear and heartbreak fill her eyes, he never wanted her to be afraid of him. His expression softened and he pulled her back into the room, "We'll talk about it, but not tonight, okay?"
Y/n smiled sadly, "Okay, I just wanted to hear your voice." She looked down at her hands, afraid to look at him for too long right now, "I'll going to head to bed, goodnight." She left his room without a kiss goodnight or a hug, nothing.
Closing her bedroom door behind her, she covered her face with her hands. What did she do? He's never behaved like this towards her. She gathered herself up, walked to the bathroom to clean off her make-up, then returned to her bedroom. Y/n picked out a pair of comfy pajama shorts and one of Benedict's old t-shirts from school. She climbed into bed, worried that sleep wouldn't be finding her anytime soon.
About a half-hour later, Y/n heard her bedroom door open, but she was too stubborn to turn around. She felt the bed dip behind her and her blanket lift a bit. Pulling her into his chest, Benedict laid down behind her, "I'm sorry, love. I would never hurt you, don't you know that?"
"I know, and I know you said we'll talk about it tomorrow, but I can't sleep like this, we have to talk about what's bothering you," Y/n traced shapes on his arms that are wrapped around her.
Benedict sighed, knowing he wasn't going to get out of this, but he might as well make it interesting. He gently moved her hair off her shoulder and neck, kissing her jaw and neck, "You were in my lap." He licked a thin stripe up her neck and nibbled on her earlobe, "You're mine, my girl, my love." He rubs her thighs and hips in small circles with his fingertips of one hand, the other resting on her lower stomach underneath her shirt. He heard her breath become ragged and felt her thighs clench together. Benedict kissed her throat, "You're throwing away his number first thing tomorrow morning."
Y/n gasped and bit her lip, "Yes sir." She ground her arse against his already hardening cock, letting him know that she wanted more of the attention he'd already been giving her.
Benedict grabbed her hip and chuckled darkly, "Careful love, don't start what you can't finish." He'd gladly do whatever she wanted, but he didn't want to pressure her.
Y/n decided to test a theory she had, she turned in his arms and looked up at him, "Why didn't you correct him and tell him who I belong to?"
Benedict growled, "And who do you belong to, baby girl? Who do you sleep next to every night?" He decided to push it, "Who do you think about when you touch yourself?"
Y/n blushed bright pink, "You, Benny!"
Benedict grinned and kissed her rough and hard, the loving kisses could wait. He needed her. Y/n kissed back and gripped at his shirt, tearing it open. Benedict smirked against her lips, "Damn, love. Excited?"
Well past being embarrassed, Y/n moaned, "Fuck me before I kick you out of my bedroom and do it myself!"
Making quick work of her shirt and shorts, Benedict smirked, "No panties or bra, you're killing me, darling." He licked her nipples and rubbed her inner thighs, "Condom or no condom?" He knew she was on the pill, he just wanted to be respectful.
As she was using her thighs to push his sweatpants down, she smirked when his rigid cock smacked his stomach, "No condom, I want to feel you."
Benedict grinned and gently fingered her, "You're soaked, love."
She moaned, moving her hips against his hand, "Stop being a tease and fuck me, Bridgerton!"
He quickly traded out his fingers for his cock, burying himself to the hilt. Y/n cried in pleasure underneath him, "Move, Daddy, please!"
Benedict gripped her hips and thrusted hard and deep, his mouth occupied with the breasts he stole glances at for years. His tongue cradled them, his teeth nibbling and rolling her nipples in his mouth.
Y/n's whines accompanied by her hands gripping his hair and shoulders, was enough praise for him to continue. Benedict picked up his pace, thrusting faster and deeper. He knew he reached the right spot when Y/n was choking on air for a moment, then screamed his name. Benedict swallowed her scream as quickly as he could, kissing her deeply and hungrily. He wanted to consume her, and he was met with the same energy, Y/n couldn't get enough of him, she craved him.
Y/n looked up at Benedict after he pulled back from their kiss, she moaned loudly, moving her hips with his. She arched her back in pleasure, "Don't stop! Oh god yes! Yes! Yes! YES!" She held onto Benedict's shoulders so tightly, her knuckles turned white.
Benedict was just a mere human man, and the feeling of her orgasming around him sent him over the edge. He jackhammered himself into her, "Take it, fuck! It's yours, it's yours, I'm yours!" His body went limp and fell into Y/n's loving arms.
She gently played his hair hair while his face was buried in the curve of her neck. He was placing tired kisses on her neck, catching his breath. Y/n kissed his temple, "You could have just told me that you were jealous."
Benedict kissed her chin, "Love, I was fucking terrified. You have always been my dream, and I was so scared that I'd waited too long, and then he showed up, and you seemed to like the attention at least a little bit. I thought you were slipping through my fingers and I wouldn't be able to stop it."
Y/n rubbed his back with her fingertips, "Since we were kids, I've always been devoted to you, more than normal friends, I was worried someday you'd finally open your eyes and see that I'm in love with you and you wouldn't feel then same."
Grinning like a madman, Benedict looked up at her, "You're I love with me, huh?" He liked hearing that.
Y/n blushed and looked away, "Oh shut up, yes, I'm in love with you!"
Benedict gently turned her face to look at him and kissed her softly, longingly, then Y/n cupped his face in her hands deepening the kiss, "I'm in love with you too, darling girl. You're everything to me."
Y/n giggled like a little girl, "Good, because you're stuck with me."
Benedict kissed all over her face, "You'll be the next Mrs. Bridgerton, if I have anything to say about it."
Laughing and giggling, Y/n kissed his cheek, "Doesn't it seem a bit soon to be thinking about marriage? Shouldn't we date first?"
He brought her left hand to his mouth, kissing where a wedding ring would sit, "We've been waiting long enough, haven't we? You're it for me, I've always known that. We both want kids and I know how to keep you happy. Marry me, my love." He didn't have a ring on hand, but he'd get on his knees for her, if he wasn't so comfortable with his cock resting inside of her.
Y/n smiled, "I'm not giving my answer until there's a proper proposal with a ring." She knew she'd say yes, she never said no to him.

The Boston's Finest
FADE IN:
INT. BOSTON - DAY
In cassettes and broken tapes, there lie the cityscape of Boston with ambivalence no matter how distorted it may be. Every bouts of liberty and free spirited wanderings surged along the poster filled brick stone walls where the stifling humidity clouds the painted asphalt road. The Central Square neighborhood where shots of kaleidoscopes spread wide on the walls of Modica Way. The dewy petrichor from the cobblestones of Beacon Hill after the rain. The windowpanes in the porch reflect the teetering memories where life expands in the humble avenue. It is where the clip ends but the soul refuses to relent.
It was the 1980s and the world witnessed an uprising in the cinema industry where Die Hard (1988) and Rambo (1988) revolutionized discourse about on-screen violence, Flashdance (1983) and Purple Rain (1984) transformed the power of melodic storytelling, and David Lynch and the Coen Brothers reinforced the auteur theory of directive control. Before the glamour of the groundbreaking dawn of their careers, Hollywood stars Matt Damon and Ben Affleck once chased their shadows in the pavements with their faces smeared with dirt and splotches of heat in their linen shirts together. With their houses blocks apart from Auburn to Cottage Street, the two crossed paths in the latter’s residence while their mothers, Nancy Carlsson-Paige, an early childhood education professor, and Christopher Anne Boldt, who taught in public school, respectively had a wonderful chat. As they confront the tides of fame together with their youthful ardor, their relationship has become a cornerstone for defining a strong platonic bond, a losing art in the mainstream media, where Boston etched itself as their refuge both in conjoined grievances and relief.

INT. CAMBRIDGE - DAY
One can say that the water holds memories for young Affleck who spent a great deal of his childhood under the fins of humpback whales and the dangers of rushing waves. He began his career as C.T. Grandville, the grandson of Captain Grandville, who was played by the scientist Peter Marston, in PBS educational series The Voyage of the Mimi (1984). For the grade schoolers watching, venturing into this journey was met with no trepidations as the show provided valuable information about the physical and biological processes of the planet. After the series ended, he went on to attend Cambridge Rindge and Latin School, where he would encounter Damon again (calling him Matty D.) since they became fast friends due to their shared interests for baseball and movies.
BEN (V.O.) I was 8, he was 10, he was a big kid, he played baseball, he was really cool, he had a bowl cut—those little feathered ones that we all wanted, of courseand he— And he was, you know, nice to me. And we were both interested in the same things.
Having a tad advantage to his age, Damon showed a more mature and passionate outlook for acting, which gave Affleck the boost to take it seriously. This difference in intensity of the mutual linkage they have gave Affleck the affinity to put Damon in a pedestal, who embodied a total control in his limbs and motions the moment when he was possessed by the role he played. In both admiration to his craft and character, Damon’s words were like ancient knowledge to Affleck who looked up to someone whom he believed had a superior integrity in the art of acting than him.
BEN (V.O.) I would periodically go off and do a little Voyage of the Mimi. So Matt was a little threatened by that. And when I got to the high school, he kind of pulled me aside. He said, “Listen, man! All right? This is the theater. It’s not about your looks, okay? It’s about the work.” And I took that very seriously. I thought that I was hearing something real, like the words of wisdom from a guy who understood it.
Granted, it was not a bond fully realized, yet their childish vigor and innocent wonderment were already the first step of what was anticipated. However, what made their friendship soar in a vast degree was in the January of 1987 when the blade grasses crunched in every step as the soles of leather boots left myriads of trails on the coated pristine snow. A shift in dynamics which catapulted their connection into a newfound nature of commitment where it evolved from baseless competition towards the unequivocal dedication to be with each other in whatever shenanigans one might be.
CONAN (inquiring) I know that you’re from the Boston area as am I, and there’s this reputation that like, Boston guys know how to fight. […] Did you ever get in any fights as a kid? MATT (reminiscing) I’m like you, I really tried to avoid them because there are people in Boston who really do know how to fight and you know if you’re one of them or not. But the last fight I got into, who would’ve been in the mid-80s, and I remember we had a snow day at school so we would all meet in the Cambridge Common and play tackle football because there would be a foot of snow on the ground and so you can’t really get hurt. It was a really fun thing to do and I mouthed off a kid that I knew but he was like your height. He was six-foot six, right? And I might have been 5 (foot) 3 at the time. And I said some—I scorned on him or something, I don’t know—but he came for me and it was like a mountain of a guy came at me and I was like, ”Oh, man.” So before I knew it, I was on the ground. He was above me and I was like, “This is gonna be bad.” And it was right then that little five-foot two Ben Affleck tackled this dude off of me like out of nowhere. I was like a junior and he was like a freshman and he tackled this kid off of me, literally at the risk of his own life. Really quickly, everyone had [broken] it up because they wanted to get back to the football game. That was fun and this was ridiculous and that was the end of it. The kid was reasonable and he was, “God, I’m not fighting. Let’s play.” But I remember, that was like a big moment going like this guy, he will put himself in a really bad spot for me like, this is a good friend.
The proclaimed drama geeks dominated the corners of the school’s theatre department as they consistently turned themselves into a blank slate of a paper vessel where the letters to be imprinted on it gave birth to the soul of the character they portrayed. Once they return to existence after breathing differently through living many lives, they came back as different entities where all the emotions they played amounted to the hope of bringing it on a larger stage. Regardless of how they were perceived in the social circles within the school, they always remained to be thick as thieves for whatever context, which was enough for them.
BEN (V.O.) I’ve established that we were very nerdy and a little weird. We used to have "business lunches,” in what was called the Media Cafeteria, which at the time there was a big ESL portion of our public high school—it was like 2,600 kids—and that was where the ESL kids— I don’t know why that was where we— We liked to be surrounded by people who spoke other languages. I’m not sure what it was. Maybe we didn’t want them to actually hear our business lunch, because no business was conducted. But we plotted things. We planned our careers.
The Cambridge Rindge and Latin School produced and adapted various stories which the department invested their efforts in. Some of the plays the school had in the time period where the two were involved were Guys and Dolls in the Summer '85 where Damon, still a freshman, played one of the gamblers, and The Visit in Fall-Winter '86 where Affleck, now a freshman, played a character as Damon’s son. Additionally, Damon’s “confrontation” with Affleck on how “acting is not about the looks, but the work” happened in this time frame. Another plays they performed were Pippin in Summer '87 where Damon played the lead role and Affleck worked behind the scenes because his voice was not for the audience. And lastly, the Alice in Wonderland in Fall '89 where Affleck took the role of the Caterpillar.
MATT (taunting) Say, Ben, why don't you tell us about the time you played the caterpillar in Alice in Wonderland? BEN (gearing up for a cutting contest) Yup, I was the zany, hookah-smoking caterpillar. I chose to play the role wrapped in garbage bags held together by Scotch tape. Now, if I were to play that caterpillar today, I might do it another way. CASEY (commenting) It was an underrated performance. Those trash bags were a bold choice. BEN (retaliating) So, Matt, why don't you favor us with your version of Morning Glory from Pippin?
After their eventful years inseparably playing various roles in high school, the two would bid each other farewell as Damon decided to continue his education in Harvard University. When Affleck completed his last two years, he attended the University of Vermont because of his attachment in his high school girlfriend who was not even studying in the same university he was in. Nevertheless, the two never broke contact and remained close as ever.
BEN (V.O.) Matt was definitely more… of a kind of achiever. It was inconceivable to him that you wouldn’t get an “A” or do really well. So I did really well [in] my first two years in high school and then when Matt left, I would cut class and… get in all kinds of trouble.”
In retrospect, their escapades as children of theatre might earn them some cringe looks. However, their joint experiences watered the seeds of their dreams they planted themselves, as well as their friendship that helped it to germinate much quickly by always having each other’s back. This was also the time where they made discoveries about themselves that sealed their brand as a person.
JIMMY (pulling out the picture) This is a photo, I think, you sent it to Matt just the other day just to go “Hey! Remember these dudes?” Here’s 17-year-old Matt and Ben in a photo booth. Look at this. BEN (laughing) Now, listen. Hard not to see that those guys are gonna make it. MATT (agreeing) Yeah, those guys clearly have “star” written all over them. JIMMY (amused) That’s awesome. MATT (pointing something out) You know, I think it was the matching puka necklaces that give it away. JIMMY (affirming) Best buddies. That’s BFFs right there. Come on. That’s BFFs for life.

INT. UNITED STATES - DAY
It was a paradise for some, but a rabbit hole for those who only have their baggage, a couple of penny, and a dream. Done were the days where the two would cross the suburban homes in Somerville, roaming in the Assembly Square Mall where the big pictures were as avid moviegoers, and frolicking in the Harvard Square; it is the transitional period from their sentimental film reviewing antics to making appearances in wide screens, albeit a small one in their fresh start. This consisted of moving back and forth in different borders of United States for auditioning countless roles. Kevin Costner as Ray Kinsella in Field of Dreams (1989) recalled the remarkable enthusiasm of Damon and Affleck as two of the extras among the thousands in the movie. Even though they were one with the blurry heads and said that they only did it “to go to Fenway,” the sheer exhilaration of partaking in the film gave a lasting impression on what it was like to be in front of the camera.
KEVIN (remembering) They were sitting in the stands, like college guys, and they came up, and they both leaned in at the same time, leaned back at the same time, looked at each other at the same time as we talked. And they had this big enthusiasm. They were on fire. I do remember them, absolutely.
After three years of their first exposure from the said film, the two made their new appearances in School Ties (1992). This time, Damon played one of the antagonists against Brendan Fraser who played the lead role. On the flipside, Affleck played a smaller role as one of the bullies as well who performed violent acts to Fraser’s Jewish character.
BEN (remembering) I knew my nine lines back to front. I loved every day I was on a call sheet, every day I got to come to work. You were there, in Boston. It was one of the best experiences of my life. We literally were next to a dump and thought we were kings. I knew I was playing the one shitty antisemitic bully character, so I figured it was probably not going to be great for me career-wise, but I loved it.
Other films that contributed to their foundation in acting together were first, the college comedy Glory Daze (1995) where Affleck starred as the lead role named Jack, an art student who was driven by the post-college angst of the fleeting whiff of liberty before graduation, and Damon had a non-speaking role as one of Affleck’s former roommates. The other was Chasing Amy (1997), another lead role for Affleck who played Holden McNeil, the love-stricken comic book writer chasing his love of his life that turned out to be a lesbian. Damon had a cameo role and played as one of the executives who helped Affleck’s character pitch a business offer. The contrast in their perception of each other’s fame was intriguing to behold as Affleck jokingly claimed that he and Kevin Smith, a well-known director and believer of the two, were riding the coattails of Damon’s larger stardom, whereas Damon was more laid back about himself and only “tried” to get in Affleck’s films with Smith. Both also revealed to auditioned for Dead Poets Society (1989) but failed to secure a role and worked in a local movie theatre.
BEN (humorously) I slept on Kevin's couch, and it was like, “You got a buddy, this guy Matt, will he be in it?” And Matt was better known than I was. [Smith] was totally happy to exploit Matt’s stardom, for his own benefit, and so was I.
Most notably, the two disclosed the fact that they opened a joint bank account with “RiverP” as the code based from River Phoenix’s rising influence in the film industry. Both Damon and Affleck set forth a new adventure in the incongruous lands of New York where they were repeatedly hustling in the bustling audition sites for various television roles, some Burger King commercials, and local voiceovers that were not documented thoroughly for public viewing. Both their devotion for acting far transcended from only achieving success to also making sure that they were part of each other’s moments of triumph and lament.
MATT (V.O.) It was unusual, but we needed the money for auditions. BEN (V.O.) We were going to help each other and be there for each other. It was like, “You’re not going to be alone. I’m not going to be alone. Let’s go out there and do this together.”
Just like when they were two small naivetes discussing baseball mechanics on a bench of the local park, a candy bar from one will be shared willingly, cheerfully, obligingly with the other.
BEN (V.O.) If either of us needed money he could borrow it from the other. Neither one of us ended up taking. It was never one-sided. MATT (V.O.) If one kid had enough for a candy bar, then the candy bar was bought and split in half—that’s just the way it’s been.
That being said, the two will always be embedded in each other’s life whether they recklessly wallow in the pools of Napa Valley wineries or they open a hotdog stall at the Dodger Games while tracing the stars through their sparkling squinting eyes.
BEN (V.O.) Matt and I had identical interests, so whether we ended up successful or making hot dogs at Dodgers games, we knew we'd end up doing the same sort of thing. The remaining friends part was pretty consistent. We saw each other all the time, we talked on the phone all the time.

Title: The Crumbs on the Manuscript: Part 2
INT. LOS ANGELES - DAY
While spending his time in the halls of Harvard, Damon conceived an original story that was a waiting ticket for a momentous future. He requested a favor for Affleck to act out the scenes of this story with him in front of the class. Consequently, this project gave him one of the reasons to drop out from college in 1997 in addition to them being unable to get the roles they wanted for themselves. They reckoned that if that was the case, then they could make their own film even if it would only be available in cheap cassette tapes.
BILL (V.O.) Were you guys always okay with you being the lead and him being the sidekick? MATT (V.O.) Yeah. I mean, I started it in college in a playwriting class, and so it was all established by the time—That as my final—My final paper was, I was supposed to write a one-act play. And instead I handed in the first act of a movie. And I said to the professor, "I think I failed your class. This is not what you asked for, but this is what came out and I really like it." He gave me an A in the class. Yeah, it was really cool, because I didn't get a lot of straight A's at Harvard. And he went, "No, wherever this goes—I don't know where it's going, but stay with it." And it was really great, because I didn't think of myself as a writer. I was an actor. And neither did Ben, for that matter.
After starring in various roles and earning their wages, the two promptly rented a house in the neighborhood of Venice Beach, Los Angeles where they reportedly wasted their money away for hedonistic pleasures and decided to get an apartment in Eagle Rock neighborhood. Damon and Affleck lived together as broke in-and-out of role actors after spending a whole lot of their earnings in drinks and taxes. Subsequently, this is where they ultimately decided to work on the script of Good Will Hunting (1997) seriously.
BEN (V.O.) I lived all over the place. I lived in Hollywood, then I moved. [Matt Damon] and I got money from School Ties, and we blew it all in a couple of months. We made $35,000 or $40,000 each and thought we were rich. And we were shocked later on to find out how much we owed in taxes.
Good Will Hunting (1997) turned out to be an opportunity for them to combine their creative outputs and transform it into having a life on its own. They wrote the script largely influenced by their own personal upbringings in Boston through their spontaneous and completely erratic improvised sessions of jotting down details. Writing, even admittedly not their forte, was an intuitive process for them, and just how they meticulously carve the path of Will Hunting’s fate, they were also unknowingly writing a new chapter to their wondrous epic of Hollywood breakthrough.
MATT (V.O.) And so that was in late January, and then in March I came out here [to L.A.] for Spring Break to audition for stuff, and stayed on Ben's couch and showed it to him. I was like, "Hey, I wrote this thing, I don't know what the fuck to do with it." And Ben read it and goes, "I don't know what to do with it either, but we should do it together." And I was like, "Sold! I'm in!" And so that was really the—I trusted no one in my life more than him. And we were just, you know—He was as close a friend as I’d ever had in my life or ever could imagine having. And I respected him, and I respected his taste. I mean, we—Our taste kind of formed together, you know what I mean? Those teenage years where you’re spreading your wings and gaining your own independence: we did that together. And so I know he would read a situation the same way I would. You know what I mean? We were just very compatible, in that way.
The film starred Damon as Will Hunting, the titular protagonist who was a troubled genius working as a janitor in the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) alongside Affleck as Chuckie Sullivan, one of Hunting’s closest confidants, and Robin Williams as the therapist Sean Maguire. Damon and Affleck sold the screenplay to Castle Rock Entertainment in 1994 for $675,000 where its president, Rob Reiner, told them to drop the thriller aspect and instead focus on the emotional ties of Hunting and Maguire. However, due to a conflict, Miramax Films bought the screenplay’s rights and put it into production with Gus Van Sant as the director. True to their nature, their earnings from the film were gone in few moments after it became a hit classic and a commercial success.
BEN (talking in front of the curtain) We sold it for $600,000, we split that, $300,000 each, and then the agents got $30,000. So we had $270,000, and we paid about $160,000 in taxes, so we had $110,000, each bought $55,000 Jeep Cherokees, and then had $55,000 left, which naturally we decided to rent a $5,000-a-month party house on Glencoe Way by the Hollywood Bowl, and we were broke in six months.
In their many attempts to rewrite every course of action and applicable dialogues, the crumbs on the shared candy bar remained sitting idly on the many drafts of manuscript, and still was the arrival of the sprinkling mess that was a testament of their love and camaraderie.

INT. SHRINE AUDITORIUM - NIGHT
The pillars of Hollywood are where the gods and monsters of the industry were ensconced. Here they carve their legacy in all its pulchritudinous grandeur where they race their cars in Sunset Boulevard and Vine Street. Settled in the Shrine Auditorium, Los Angeles, the commencement of the 70th Academy Awards in 1998 propelled the trajectory of their future in an unimaginable heights. It was a turbulent period in the picture palaces where contenders such as James Cameron stirred the tides of cathartic grief with his poignant depiction of tragedy in Titanic (1997) and Kim Basinger’s seductive charisma in L.A. Confidential (1997) worked like a charm to the mass. Damon and Affleck paved their way into the culmination of the grand clockwork inside the movie industry along with the elite A-listers who took their seats on the fine cushion chairs. Billy Crystal, with all of his entertaining antics, sang an ode to the honorable artists.
MATT (V.O.) To go from that experience where, you know, we filled out the (Oscar ballot) sheets and we were betting on who was gonna win, to being in the front row of the Oscars together with our moms—in one year—it felt like warp speed. And to have Billy Crystal singing a song about us.
Damon and Affleck, in their plain tuxedos and bow ties, managed to claim their unexpected Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay in Good Will Hunting (1997). The crowd was masked with massive shouts of uproar and sheer delight the moment when Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau presented the award, which can be liken into them, a comedic duo, passing the torch of friendship to the young novices. The two of them were remembered as sweethearts for bringing their mothers as their dates to the said event. Such gesture, even if it was seen as juvenile to some, garnered them an appreciation from the public for looking back at the pioneers among their fans and also their first pillars of hope when they partook in the tumultuous road of acting.
BEN (V.O.) We were sitting next to our moms and we won, and we kind of hugged our moms. And I remember, how everyone had made such a big thing out of it. As if this was such a novelty. And I remember thinking, being insecure, like, “Why? Why is it weird that we’re bringing our moms?” Like, “Who else do you think we would bring?” You know what I mean? There was nobody else that was going to go. That was it. Of course our moms were gonna go. That was, really was innocent and not faked.
Their signature impromptu speech was a blabbering mess and their words were caught up in a maze, yet the innocence emanating from their still neophyte minds inside the logistics of Hollywood was a testament to their authenticity as starting actors in the realer side of the business. Up until the present times, Affleck boasts his pride as he still remains to be the youngest winner to bag this prestigious award.
MATT (V.O.) Ben and I talked about it recently. We were younger than we felt. I was 22 and Ben was 20 when we first started writing it. And then it came out when I was 27 and Ben was 25. I mean, Ben’s still the youngest writer to ever win an Oscar for screenwriting. I’d be the youngest if it weren’t for Ben. Fucking asshole.
In another but shared spotlight, Robin Williams also snatched the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor from the same film. His performance cemented his legacy as one of the most beloved actor-comedians who ever graced the common folk with his winning smile and witty sense of humor. Williams’ roles as Sean Maguire in Good Will Hunting (1997) and John Keating in Dead Poets Society (1989) resonated to the young souls through his earnest warmth of devotion in the form of paternal love. The integrity of his characters, which was molded from his own, poked the bubble of pressure that led to vulnerability.
ROBIN (V.O.) There's an emotional core to Good Will Hunting that came from Ben and Matt. They have this unspoken twins thing. They care for each other, yet they bust on each other. And that was a great bass line to work with. I'm very proud of this movie. It has a resonance.
The accolades for Good Will Hunting did not stop in its tracks as it emerged victorious in other award-giving bodies. Damon and Affleck also won the Golden Globes Award for Best Screenplay - Motion Picture and the Critics’ Choice Movie Award for Best Original Screenplay. The disbelief hung in the air but the emblems of their cherished faith in their line of work brought a newfound admiration in each other’s professional work.
MATT (V.O.) It’s been really helpful to check in with Ben throughout this whole surreal process over the last 25 years. I think the shock of becoming famous is so… I mean, that messed me up for a couple years because the whole world just starts to treat you differently. And so your subjective experience changes. It’s like somebody rewrites your code in the Matrix, but just your code. It’s like, “Oh, my whole experience has been altered in this really overwhelming way.” And so to have somebody who I’ve known my whole life, who I can be like, “Hey man, is this happening to you? Are you…” And to check in with him, it was really, really helpful. Stabilizing.
All of a sudden, they climbed up the ladder of prestige and in the throes of loneliness at the top, they basked in the presence of one another.
CUT TO:
Title: The Best They Ever Were
EXT. THE STREETS - DAY
As they walk in the arduous path they earnestly tread on, Damon and Affleck solidified their careers as one of the most prolific actors and filmmaker collaborators. Their fates were sealed in a fervid turmoil after that eventful night while carrying their early designed bulky cell phones in one hand and the golden trophy statuette in another. Time went on and success found its way running towards them in multitudes. Damon then had won the Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG) for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture in the movie The Departed (2007) with the cast, as well as two Critics' Choice Movie Awards for Best Actor in The Talented Mr. Ripley (2000) and Best Actor in an Action Movie in The Martian (2016). On the other hand, Affleck won the Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG) for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture in the movie Shakespeare in Love (1998) shared with the cast, another Academy Award for Best Picture as a producer in Argo (2013), and Santa Barbara International Film Festival’s (SBIFF) Modern Master Award for Argo (2013). Furthermore, the two also accepted the award for Guys of the Decade at the 10th Annual Guys Choice Awards in 2016.
The nature of their relationship has always been a sweet spot for breeding malice and amusement of many, yet both are secured enough to define what they are for each other amidst the public’s scrutiny.
WOMAN IN BLACK (gesturing with her hands) I didn’t know what your relationship is with Ben. Seeing you or to get, you know, known him your whole life— MATT (standing on the stairs) He’s my hetero-lifemate.
It goes to show how the concept of platonic bond is subjected to different interpolation because of how malleable and loosely defined its boundaries are. Moreover, histrionic commentaries over cultural norms and prejudices thrive in competitive capitalism where journalists are put in a game of catch to get a scoop on celebrity scandals with twisted headlines.
ELLEN (sitting cross-legged) So we're going to talk about it. I just heard it this morning, if you want to address it somehow. It's like when we do interviews, you say something and then people write it and it depends on—it’s out of context and it gets twisted around and something you said is getting twisted around and I want you to address it. MATT (sitting on the opposite couch) Yeah, it was just an interview with The Guardian that I just literally found out. I was talking about [how] actors are more effective when you know less about their personal lives and was talking about it in the context of when Ben and I first started, and people wrote all these articles when Good Will Hunting came out that we were gay because it was two guys who wrote the script, and feeling like “Oh, we can't even—.”Then you have to address it and then you would and then it's like, I’m not going to throw my friends under the bus who are gay and act like it's some kind of disease, you know. How do you even address it? […] I said this thing in The Guardian and it got turned into—I was just trying to say [that] actors are more effective when they're a mystery, right? And somebody picked it up and said gay actors should get back in the closet, which is, like, it's stupid. It's painful when things get said that you don't believe.
The mere fact that both Damon and Affleck remained to withstand the tribulations of exploitative industry, where privacy is compromised, speak volume to their commitment and loyalty towards each other. Writing their bond as a simple romance where they fit the conventional bill of being one is reductive in its essence because it takes away all nuances and intricacies of an outstanding platonic bond. Their relationship is supposed to remodel the foundation of a healthy friendship as it is a connection that is not codified through marriage contract or sexual attraction, but a shared mutual interest in something where both can celebrate and be dismal together. However, the public is not in the same page in terms of appreciating this kinship that rivals the so-called be-all and end-all type of love that is romance.
Decades passed through thousands of sunsets and millions of seconds, and their bodies had changed to match their shifting attitudes. However, their reverence and love for acting continue to stand unwavering in the midst of tempestuous conjectures and flashes like lightning strikes in their very faces. Currently, Damon lives in Brooklyn Heights, New York in a penthouse with the top two floors of a building spanning over the stunning views of the Manhattan skyline where he lives with Luciana Barroso and their daughters. Affleck, on the other hand, lives in a mansion in the Beverly Crest area of Los Angeles with Jennifer Lopez that stretches over 38,000 square feet, including a 12-bedroom main house and other amenities. The endless fields and valleys in between their locations were irrelevant against their will to collaborate again and screen write The Last Duel (2021) and co-found a studio together, the Artist Equity, to produce Air (2023).
BEN (sitting cross legged) I find the most wonderful thing about it was I loved coming to work everyday. I loved seeing Matt. I love—first of all, he's a genius. Having him as your anchor of your movie just makes it— MATT (gesturing Ben) See, 40-something-years it took you to— BEN (cont’d) No, I didn't use to think this. But that just makes it so easy, and it was just so much fun. It kinda felt like just us and getting to do the thing that we wanted to do. I did. I loved it. I miss it everyday since. It was the best work experience of my life. In fact, that's the beautiful thing about this. It's that happiness was being able to be here everyday in Los Angeles, where my children are and see them everyday and have them come visit the set, work with my best friend my whole life. There's nothing more that I want in my life. I thought, well, this is it. This is what I've always wanted, you know. And then I thought that might mean I'm about to die. MATT (laughing) I literally had the same thought. I was like this is it. We've actually reached the mountaintop.
Though their milestone launched them into separate houses of big screens and magazine covers, all America’s crossroads and thoroughfares and boulevards and avenues attempt to intersect at one point despite their convoluted systems to lead their lavish vehicles together in taking the high road.
BEN (V.O.) Yeah. It is bizarre to have gone this far. And definitely a lot of—I don’t think I would be sane—or as sane to the extent that I am—had I not had somebody who was from where I grew up, and who was my best friend, and who was going through the same thing. So you could— Because I’m sure you guys all know: there are these moments in this business where you look around and go like, “Is this completely insane? I feel as though I’m coming unglued.” And having that, someone share that perspective—and then so, as we went on and on, so finally got to a place where—like with The Last Duel—it was like, “Why haven’t we just—? We had so much fun! Every day on that set was so much fun! Let’s just do this: let’s just do movies together and with people we like.”
No matter how high the altitude of their dreams had come to, the streets of Boston will always have a perpetual flame into the hearts of two actors fueled by their shared ambition. Their eyebrows are the Storrow Drive with the way they are on fleek, their lips are the undulating waves in Plymouth's Fresh Pond when they curve upwards, and their torso is the Fenway Park where the Boston Red Sox is. When they gaze into each other’s faces, the two natives would recall all their hilarious mischiefs and lasting jubilations as if they are themselves the incarnation of the place they will always call home.
GRAHAM (pointing Matt) And what was the phrase? There was a phrase that you heard. Was it in a movie you heard a phrase? “There goes...” MATT (realizing) Oh, yeah. Yeah, I said it to my mother. This is funny. I said—in the movie, The Natural, Robert Redford, and it's based on something the baseball player Ted Williams once said. But so his character, Roy Hobbs, in The Natural says, “All I want is to walk down the street, you know, and when I walk down the street for people to say 'There goes Roy Hobbs, the best he ever was,'” And my mother—and I love that movie—and I love Robert Redford, asked me one day, “What is it that you want, Matthew?“ and I said, “Look, all I want is to walk down the street someday and have people say, 'There goes Matt Damon, the best he ever was.'”
The streets will be just like the way they rode their Jeep Cherokee Sport once. Only this time, the babes with their mothers and the strangers in all varying places will notice what the glint in their eyes is. And here, in the venerated bastion of media, there goes the finest of them all, the best they ever were.
FADE OUT.

props to the bh6 writers. What will happen next? a discussion on season 2 episodes 1-5, warning spoilers ahead
i gotta say we’re not even half way thru the second season and i can already tell that the bh6 writers have really outdone themselves. The story is much darker than the first season and the villains of the show have developed into more sinister versions of themselves.
but out of all the villains so far, the big MVP of this season is definitely Liv Amara. Not gonna lie, i didn't know how they would play liv out in the show, or if she would even be played off as an even bigger threat than Obake, but oh boy do they know how to write a good villain.
liv amara is more cynical compared to Obake, and unlike Obake who was originally good, but due to a deathly explosion that caused him brain damage, he was left with the inability to tell right from wrong, so he was not consciously aware of the fact that he was doing something he didn't want to do. Liv Amara on the other hand has no such brain damage and is fully aware of the fact that she is doing inhumane things and doesn't care who she brings down if it means she can accomplish her goals, but just what are her goals to begin with? thats the other thing that the writers are doing so well, keeping the mystery behind liv amaras plan a secret but still laying it out bit by bit to keep having us guessing
so far from what we have seen, Liv Amaras generous funds do not just come from investors seeking to support her work, rather they mostly come from shady villainous people who will have no issue supporting her insane experiments. In season 2 episode 2, Liv meets up with Momakase to talk about her “investing” funds for a specific top secret project she is currently working on at sycorax. We do not know what this secret project is but it is no doubt something that she cant just show to any investor with a good conscious
However, that doesn't matter to villains that have done equally horrid things and wouldn't mind giving Liv the cash she wants if it means that they could benefit from her skills as well. And, as we later learn near the end of the episode 2, (thanks to a mysterious chip liv inserted into her neck) momakase can now produce indestructible knives from the tips of her fingers
since it is clear that Liv is responsible for the mutations this season the only questions now is, what is Liv Amaras end game?, what is her “top secret project” and what do those chips mean for the people she is mutating.
first lets talk about the chips. Its clear that the chips reprogram a persons DNA and can cause specific mutations at the persons request. My only question is, are these mutations permanent ? orso knox in season 3 episode 3 was able to return back to normal thanks to karmi, but as liv amara states ( as she effortlessly blackmails him), she has the power to return him back to his monstrous form whenever she likes.
if these chips are removed will the persons abilities be removed along with them? or do they become inactive once the person has fully mutated, leaving their only chance to return to normal a series of treatments to splice their DNA back to normal. Regardless of who it is, once its embedded in a persons skin all it takes is for liv to activate it.
next, lets talk about this “top secret project”, in episode 2 liv shows the top secret project file to momakase. This project may be what gave momakase the idea to have liv turn her into a knife wielding super monster, so its clear that the plan involves some kind of human genetic mutation.
In episode 3 (out of hiros constant bickering to figure out livs actual progress on orso knox) karmi finds out that she cant access the knox file, then directly goes to livs office to ask about why she cant access the info related to orso knox.
before karmi reaches livs office we get a clear shot at some of the files on her screen and what we see are base pairs for parts of someones DNA (maybe orso knox, momokase or someone we haven't seen yet) and what is clear in those pictures is that there are parts blackened out, as if to show that something is missing.
We see this same DNA in episode 4 when liv meets high voltage, the dna strand is visible as a hologram on her desk and is again missing certain pieces.
When karmi looks at the DNA sequence of mutated orso knox in episode 3, she notes that the base pairs in his DNA are not similar.
For those of you who have a hard time understanding this, basically imagine DNA as a ladder split down the middle, the steps that make up the middle part of the ladder and allow people to climb it normally are different shapes on both sides but when they come together they make a proper ladder,
in order for DNA to produce a functional human being the DNA base pairs need to match. Those regions of his mismatched DNA are being caused by a specific area somewhere else in his DNA, and so long as that specific region remains orso knox continues to lose more and more of his humanity as his DNA continues to produce that mismatched areas.
We can clearly see this occurring with Momokase as well. When momokase escapes the teams combined attacks near the end of episode 2 we see that she has now developed blue skin, sharp teeth and wild and unruly hair,
even more noticeably is when she runs in the direction of hiro. She doesn't try to attack hiro and granville now that they are vulnerable without baymax and the others there to help, instead she makes her way to the pillar behind them to escape and gives them an angry hiss/growl before leaving.
In episode 4, high voltage undergo the same procedure as momakase but transform at a slower rate. Later on when they crash a high school dance, they become fully mutated eel people
once high voltage gains the upper hand to make their escape, what do we see them do? they dont just escape, they escape and without a second thought they immediately go to liv amara, now fully mutated into eels and living in her office aquarium!!.
If high voltage returned to liv then odds are that momokase is somewhere in her building as well. But why are they going back to liv?, well, back in season 1 episode 18 knox didnt go directly to liv, he followed his schedule until he found his way back to her, only to attack her, and sadly now that we know liv is the second seasons main antagonist liv learned from her mistakes with knox and most likely implanted the idea in future mutated people to return to her without fighting back. But what does this all mean?, why is she collecting mutated villains, what was the point of mutating orso knox? and what does this have to do with her secret project?
well, what if Liv is trying to make mutants but is having a hard time figuring out a base pair that will allow the persons DNA to remain stable and thus creating a stable mutated human. But to do that she needs test subjects, and she knows that she cant just experiment on ordinary people without drawing suspicion, so instead shes using criminals that the public would prefer not seeing. The only exception was orso knox who may have realized what liv amaras secret project was and refused to give her the money to support it. Liv turning him into a monster was just one way of keeping her money and gaining a lab rat, however, now that he is back to normal all she has to do is threaten him with turning him back, if he doesn't keep quiet about what she is doing.
she may have always known how to turn mutants like orso back into regular humans but thats not what she wants, she wants these mutated and now animalistic humans to stay unstable so she can figure out the missing link in their DNA. In episode 3 when karmi sees orso and quickly figures out the right treatment to turn him back, liv comes in and looks at karmis work,
liv doesn't look happy or surprised, shes upset because now there is someone other than her that can successfully turn mutants like oros back to normal, liv knew karmi was smart, but now that she knows karmi is to smart, she identifies her as a threat. And what does she do once she realizes that karmi is capable of undoing her work? she pushes some buttons,
takes fred to the elevator and leaves karmi, hiro, and baymax seconds before orsos lock is disabled and the entire building is placed on lock down.
Liv was trying to murder hiro and karmi, then later pin the blame on orso to cover up her tracks!! and the only reason she took fred to safety is because she still needs to get her funds from his mother, and she cant do that if his mom is grieving for her dead son.
and now lets talk about the biggest question of the show, what is liv amaras end game? in episode 5, we see her experimenting with the cell regeneration capabilities of globby and claims that the way globbys cell regenerate may be a breakthrough to what she is working on. When nega globby begins to regenerate into a bigger size in front of liv we see that they are confined to a small room, this room/lab contains a series of pods and one more pod that chris looks over to on his right off screen.
In episode 3 as hiro, karmi, and fred discover that orso is confined in sub level 9 fred says, “thats the most mysterious sub level there is, unless there’s a sub level 10, is there a sub level 10?”.
Odds are, freddy is right!, there may be a secret level that liv did not include into the buildings computer and that secret sub level is where she is currently conducting her secret project”
later, when the nega globby escapes, Chris meets up with liv in that same suspicious room were liv is working on a single giant pod in front of her
when chris states that the glob escaped liv deactivates the security shutdown (which she says in episode 3 that she has no control over, but clearly she does !!!)
and lets it escape into the city. Chris then says, “dont we need it for..” then points to the giant pod next to him.
What if livs top secret project and ultimate end game has to do with whatever is in that giant pod. And what exactly is in that giant pod?, I have no idea!!, it could be anything at this point, and without enough evidence I am just gonna list out some ideas below and do a follow up later on when new info is revealed in future episodes:
1. in episode 1 liv says to grandville, hiro and the gang on their tour, “mother nature is an artist and I see myself as her protege, studying and... even improving on her work”. Liv believes it is her responsibility to do what nature is no longer capable of, improving human kind and is making a giant serum to transform the entire city into mutants, and later transform the entire world, making her the new mother of an entirely new world.
2. she is trying to create a new human race and what is in that giant tub in episode 5 is the first superhuman, however, because she hasnt figured out the right DNA sequence it is still incomplete and unstable.
3.she knew(possibly admired) or knows obake and found his body underwater after his base fell apart and currently holds him in that tub as she is trying to turn him into the first line of super mutants and thus saving his life but also using him to her advantage.
4. shes gonna turn the entire city into mindless animalistic mutants, have them all under her control, then later use her new army of mutants to take over the world, starting with san fransokyo.
5. again this is just a theory, so don’t bother complaining, I’m just making this up as i go until i get new info. Liv found Tadashi after the fire and is currently holding him in that giant tub as she is trying to figure out how to stabilize his mutated genes and fix his damaged body so he can use whatever abilities his body is developing. Then she will later use his DNA to create a new line of mutants to serve under her.
its just a theory, a big hero 6 theory!

Big Hero 7: The Series
Big Hero 7 Season 2
The calm before the storm
*Nimble hands set up a camera to record a video, to which it finally shows Cora Mizichio in her living room. She lets out a deep breath before she smiles up at the camera.*
Cora: Hi! It's me again! Wow,a lot of things has happened since I started this video diary, and let me tell you: It was a very insane, yet stupidly awesome ride.
*She pulls out her phone and soon starts a montage of video clips she recorded showing herself and her boyfriend and friends as both themselves and super heroes.*
Cora: Turns out Baymax saved his chip in a rocket first to which Hiro and I decided to rebuild Baymax, but when one glitch caused his body to run around like a lunatic. Didn't help that Yama held Baymax's skeleton and yours truly as hostages for Hiro to do his dirty work on stealing something from Professor Grandville's desk, *Mutters under breathe* more on her later*clear voice*. Because of that it lead to Gogo, Fred, Honey Lemon, and Wasabi to help Hiro rescue us and make it home safely. But when Yama released an army of Boot legged Baymaxes to steal the thing; that was the night we all realized we can be way more. So we put on our suits and stopped the army, stopped Yama, and destroyed the thing. Since that night we became Big Hero 7!
*Cora smiles brightly to herself as she shows the official picture of themselves as super heroes that show their super hero names: Electro-Magnetic Alpha(Hiro), Aqua Girl(Cora), Omega Danger(Baymax), Chemistry Princess(Honey Lemon), Velocity(Gogo), Fredzilla(Fred Frederickson IV) and Blades Master(Wasabi). Then the clips start showing people they met along the way*
Cora: We've met a lot of new people since then, both as supers and students. There's Professor Grandville; a strict but fair dean who is more than what she seemed, Professor Seto my Bio teacher, Mole the pest that bothers Fred and Gogo and deserves a good butt-kicking, *Shows clip of Karmi*… Someone who also deserves a good butt kicking for her behavior to Hiro and I. Esmeralda the fashion major student from SFAI and the woman partially responsible for me going to bot fighting, Commander Carter who got us our super hero licenses along with Mr. Frederickson; both who help young supers get their license to protect them and assist them in whatever mission they are in. Tela-Patty the telepathic girl, Laser blast who uses, you guessed it, laser beams, Sparrow the archer who can hit any target. Finally there's Ice Frost, she can freeze anything and survive subzero temperatures, and who we learned is Miyuki Frost, an animation major student at SFAI. And as any hero can face, there's our Rouge Gsllery: High Voltage, the Mother-Daughter electric dancing crime duo. Globby, a man transformed into a -Globby- mess after a poor choice to steal Honey's chem purse was made. Momakase, a skilled thief and sushi chef who...turned out to be connected to my Papa, and Noodle Burger Boy was an innocent bot before he was hacked and reprogrammed by one man.
*Cora paused as she thinks over what to say next, her smile fading away as she thought about him, along with the memories came a whirlwind of emotions that clash against each other. Finally she looks up and speaks again with a determined brow on her face.*
Cora: A man named Obake, a very intelligent...and very dangerous, mentally stable man whose circumstances turned him into one of our most dangerous villains we ever faced … his birth name was Bob Aken, an orphan... but he was adopted into a Yakuza Clan where he gained a father, a mother...and a brother. He was renamed Kage Mizichio...and his brother... is my father, Mizuchi Mizichio. The heir of the Mizichio Yakuza Clan. The Demonic Titan. *Rubbing her arms as she swallows tightly* Their story was at first innocent and happy... but when their father, Isamu...my grandfather died; Nozako, their mother...*Gulps* My grandmother...took over and immediately darkened their world. They had a strong bond like Hiro and Tadashi, but Nozako's plans for my father and abuse to Kage forced them apart. In the end they both escaped... Kage twice since... he wasn't very successful the first time.
*Cora pulls out two photos, one showing a young Kage with a younger Professor Grandville, and the second photo showing him with a girl that bears a striking resemblance to Cora; save for the freckles, green eyes, and long strawberry blonde hair.*
Cora: With the help of my Papa he managed to get secret classes at SFIT where Professor Grandville protected him and encouraged him to grow. And there's Chara Bonete… she was just a highschool student who met Kage and they... fell in love. But when Kage tried to build an energy amplifier without anyone knowing it exploded. He survived because... Nozako's workers found him as doctors. She punished him by dropping him out of school...and taking away Chara's life. That was when Kage's bond with my papa snapped. Papa's escape was by accident. He was sent on a mission by Kage to retrieve a very powerful medicine that could cure all diseases and heal all wounds. He was supposed to also kill the herbal medicine maker and her daughter to hide any evidence... instead.. he fell in love with her, the daughter of the herbal medicine doctor...my mama. With patience, determination, and love. Papa regained his hope and faith and his connection with Mama grew deeper. But he knew that anytime Nozako could return and harm them, or worse, turn them into her own puppets like she did with him. So he faked his death. After Mama saved him with the very same medicine that he was supposed to steal, he ran away with Mama and Grandmama to San Fransokyo where they hidden themselves and the potion away from the world and from Nozako's reach...even me. But because of Papa's 'Death'... that lead to Nozako blaming Kage for his mission. He was kicked out of the only home he ever had, and since he didn't know Papa was alive he couldn't call for help. All those years of abuse, hate, and mistreatment turned him into a monster... a monster bent on Destroying San Fransokyo to rebuild it to his image, reclaim back his home from Nozako… and mistaking me for Chara. Thankfully Hiro and the gang saved me and stopped him from succeeding his plan. And by some miracle...Papa saved him. He convinced Commander Carter to get Kage help to not only receive treatment for his mental health, but to also get the surgery for his brain damage. A shard from the energy amplifier he built long ago struck his head...and Nozako left it in there to make him suffer. And now...
*Cora pulls out a letter her family received the other day and shows the contents of it.*
Cora: This letter says that Kage had shown significant recovery in both his surgery and his counseling that he's cleared to go home.. and by home I mean here. And the day he's gonna join us is also the day the new semester of SFIT starts. That alone is a shock cause... Hiro and I had been in SFIT for a semester. We've made it this far into our lives and relationship... But that leaves us with something.. what happens now? Kage can't be left alone, and he has to do something. Papa mentioned that he would talk to Grandville when he comes along. Thankfully the first Baymax is gonna join us and help Kage. *Whispers into Camera* That's another story for another time. *Clear voice* We got our answers to this questions we'd thought we would never ask and got closure. But a part of me feels that there's more that my family isn't telling me; I know why Papa had been overprotective of me before but...Grandmama never really told me why they lived in Muirahara woods for so long, or even how Grandmama made such a powerful medicine in the first place. And there's been someone at SFIT that's been seeing 'you know who' a lot...and she gives me a bad feeling inside me... but if we survived Obake and all these crazy things, I'm sure we can deal with whatever happens to us in the future. We're in this together through hell and back.
*Cora smiles brightly as she saves the video and shuts it off to prepare for bed. As she prepares her futon after texting Hiro goodnight with a heart emoji, the moon shines brightly above the bay of San Fransokyo. The waves crashing to the shore along with the pale glow of the moon gives off an aura of great beauty...and great danger. and it shines through not only Cora's window, but to Hiro's as well, then to the rest of the gang, to Mizuchi, to Kaguya...and finally ending it with Kage Mizichio. All of them unaware of their future ahead.*
A.N: Here is a new chapter from me as we near to the premier of Season 2~! The first Baymax is a reference to the KH3 crossover and so he will be joining too! There's also gonna appearances of Kage/Obake and perhaps even... Nozako and the sirens( Which will appear in the future as I post the chapters here). Also, my Editor will update the chapters so the wordings will be different a bit, so till then, enjoy this! Also, Finals is coming for me so I'm gonna be a little busy, so please be patient for me. As for the Hiro HamadaXCora Mizichio ship...
I AM THE CAPTAIN OF THIS SHIP AND I WILL SAIL HER INTO WHATEVER WATERS I PLEASE!
P.s: Please don't share your spoilers into the reviews.
Thank you all for following BH7! Love you all!

I thought I read somewhere that you have tourette syndrome, is that true? I have an uncle who has it, and I thought it'd be cool to know an artist I follow who knows what that's like.
Aw, sorry it took me so long to answer this. I’ve been really sick lately.
And yes, I do have tourette syndrome, as does my brother. For anyone who doesn’t know what that is tourettes is a disorder that involves repetitive movements or unwanted sounds (tics) that can't be easily controlled. For instance, you might repeatedly blink your eyes, shrug your shoulders or blurt out unusual sounds or offensive words. Yes, there are people whose tics are swears, or even hitting themselves or others unintentionally.
Mine’s fairly mild though, compared to some, so it doesn’t really interfere with anything, and mine is mostly confined to small noises and movements. Unlike my poor brother, who used to be caused great pain from some of his tics. I did have to let my professors in college know, especially during the winter months, as tics can get more violent when you’re cold, and professors needed to know I wasn’t, you know, convulsing or something. It’s also good to let them know because a common tic is an eye roll, which (and I’ve totally seen this happen with my poor brother) people often mistake it as a bad attitude or disrespect, when in actuality it’s just something that can’t be controlled.
Tics I’ve had include a shoulder roll (which used to pull the muscle in my shoulder all the time), hand tics that make my fingers sore, especially my thumb, and a sharp turn of my head (sort of like when you’re trying to fling hair out of your face) which used to mess up my neck. As I grew older though it mostly just became what are called vocal tics, sounds and such. Funnily enough, my boyfriend has started to use them to gauge how I’m feeling.
A low, happy ‘chu!’ sound = Happy, content A soft, high, short whine = pained (which apparently sounds like something from Zelda I’m told) A low hum = safety, comfort Long, low whine = fear Sharper, higher ‘chu!’ = discomfort, very upset Musical ‘doo-doo-dooo’ = ‘are you there?/can you hear me? just checking.’ (A call and response that my boyfriend started that I accidentally picked up on and has since become a thing).
It’s pretty weird, but also kind of cool. XD And I am very fortunate, so many with it have it far FAR worse. It’s a pretty common thing, and a lot of people who don’t have tourettes might have tics. So just because you have a twitch doesn’t mean you qualify. Like my sister has a few tics, but she doesn’t have tourettes. My Grunkle Grandville in England has tourettes, and is tics include bursting out into song (specifically ‘down down down in the burning ring of fire!’), movie phrases (E.T. PHONE HOME!), and other quote iterations, for example one summer when he visited it was ‘THE EAGLE HAS LANDED’, but he’d switch out anything within sight for ‘eagle’. Including “The [my name] has landed!”
It became a part of his personality, a part of who he is. Whew! Sorry, long winded explanation. ;)

What I didn’t understand in this scene was the way Hiro reacted. You’ve witnessed your own brother’s demise, have gone a year without him, and are constantly reminded that he’s gone and this is your reaction?
Why isn’t he in tears, hysterically sobbing at the sight of Tadashi? He’s literally like “Woah, what are you doing here? How have ya been?” um bro this dude died a year ago, why are you all non-shalant and making small talk with your supposed-to-be-deceased brother?? He should be running into his arms, tears aflow, not sitting down and casually talking about what the hell Professor Grandville thinks is good for you.
God, like, no this isn’t a freaking get-together, your dead brother suddenly pops up out of nowhere and you don’t seem very fazed by it.

First, MISSING 1 DAY! Well, now with that in mind I have a few questions: What do you want to know about the nerd gang? What types of flashback do you want to see? How do you think Karmi looks like? What is your favorite theory? What villain do you think you're going to hate? What kinds of traumas do you want to see? Hiro invaded Karmi's lab, or was it my impression? Professor Grandvile will be a big problem? Top 3 of the toughest villains to face? For now, just, thanks! Fic off!
*inhales*
Okay, let’s do this.
What do you want to know about the nerd gang?
Just everything lol. Since we have series with multiple episodes, the nerd gang can have more time to shine than they had in a hour-and-half movie who was focused on Hiro (well he is the main character after all) and his grief. So I wanna know about their family, their childhood, how the discovered they liked science (comics for Fred), etc. Just, I wanna know everything. And have specific episodes revolving around each one of them. Please.
What types of flashback do you want to see?
ANY TYPE OF FLASHBACKS. I love flashbacks and the feeling of melancholy they bring. But mainly: the Hamada parents with their sons, how the Hamada parents tragically died, Aunt Cass having to raise her nephews by herself, Hiro and Tadashi growing up and doing science together, Tadashi defending Hiro from bullies, etc. Also the nerd squad can have their owns as well! About their childhood yes, but what would be EXTREMELY TEARJERKING is interractions with Tadashi and seeing their grief of losing their friend ;_;
How do you think Karmi looks like?
I imagined Karmi as a Chinese girl (since Haley Tju is half chinese, and the voice actors’ ethnical background fit their characters). She’s a few inches taller than Hiro, but is still smol. If she’s based off Marys Iosama, she has long brown/auburn-ish hair that she wears in pigtails with front bags. She wears glasses too (I wonder if she has cyber-glasses like Marys too, since her lab mostly has chemical stuff in it). That’s how I picture her until I see what she canonically looks like.
And personality-speaking (I know that wasn’t the question but I’ll say it anyway XD ), I guess she’s the competitive hot-blooded type. Seeing Hiro get in SFIT (probably after her) threathens her and she makes him understand that she “won’t lose” to his star-status. She’s a hard-worker and takes science very seriously, and probably the thing that makes her Hiro’s rival is how he thinks this is easy just because he’s naturally smart. She’s cold towards Hiro at first, but deep down has a good heart (and probably uses her fiery temper as a defensive mechanism). She’d basically be a tsundere lol. At one point her sweet, mellow side would show around Hiro and she’ll end up befriending him.
IT’S PROBABLY NOT EVEN THIS BUT I CAN DREAM OKAY
What is your favorite theory?
My favorite theory is the one where Hiro was in the car accident that killed his parents, but he remembers nothing of it and Aunt Cass and Tadashi never talked to him about it. It’s since that day that Tadashi became protective of Hiro and promised himself he would never let anything happen to him.
What villain do you think you’re going to hate?
Hmmm… can’t really say, because we only saw a few glimpses of them. But I feel like Obake is going to be a serious threat, but also a major douche that kicks his opponents when they are down (but literally and figuratively). He’s probably gonna kidnap Hiro and hurt him real bad physically and psychologically at one point and the whole fandom is gonna lose their shit. I don’t know, we’re going to love hating him I guess.
What kinds of traumas do you want to see?
*evil cackling* Anything involving Hiro. The trauma of being in the car accident that killed his parents, the trauma of losing Tadashi and having panic attacks of that night, the trauma of being kidnapped and hurt by a villain…
BUT AT THE SAME TIME I DON’T WANT TO SEE MY CHILD SUFFER, DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE STRUGGLE?!?!
Hiro invaded Karmi’s lab, or was it my impression?
Can’t really say about that. If he was to invade her lab (for whatever the reason) and was to be caught either by Karmi or Granville, he’d be in serious trouble. If it’s Karmi who catches him, she’s gonna lash at him for sure, but she’ll probably blackmail him to get something out of him in exchange of her not telling Granville (since they’re rivals and all).
Professor Granville will be a big problem?
I feel like Professor Granville will give Hiro a hard time. But even though she’s harsh and severe, I guess that deep down her intentions are good-willed. She wants him to succeed, but wants to push him at his limit and make him understand just because he’s a naturally-born genius, doesn’t mean her class topics or anything else is a piece of cake.
Top 3 of the toughest villains to face?
Well, Obake is confirmed to be the main villain of the series and will have a 3-parter finale revolving around him, so I guess he’s the first one on the list. For the rest, I have no idea, because there are a LOT of villains we haven’t seen yet. Some will be recurring, others may only have a one-episode time to shine. But for the moment, I guess I’ll go with Baron Von Steamer and Mr. Sparkles. Because Bob Schooley said there will be a lot of Mr. Sparkles, and Baron Von Steamer, even though he wasn’t seen yet, looked dangerous by how he tried to squash Hiro’s brains with his booby trap.
#hope that answers your questions! :D#asks#big hero 6#bh6#big hero six#big hero 6 the series#bh6 the series#long post#hiro hamada#nerd squad#nerd gang#gogo tomago#wasabi#honey lemon#fred lee#tadashi hamada#aunt cass#karmi#professor granville#obake#baron von steamer#mr sparkles#ficsinhistory

Aprendendo a seduzir - Patrícia Cabot

Meet Callie Torkelson, a senior social work major and human behavior cluster minor from Grandville, Michigan. Callie is the outstanding graduating senior in the Social Work department. We asked her a few questions about her NMU experience so far:
Why did you decide to come to NMU?
Callie: I decided to come to Northern because of the welcoming community. My mom is originally from the Upper Peninsula and graduated from Northern as well. Growing up, I always loved visiting the U.P. and was excited at the opportunity to call the Yoop home.
What's an example of a cool, interesting or helpful thing that you have done as a part of your major?
Callie: As a social work major, I get to do an internship for my senior year. Currently, I am working as a social work intern at the Janzen House, which is a transitional housing unit for men over the age of 18 experiencing homelessness. Through this practicum experience, I have been able to build upon all the skills I learned in class on how to be an effective practitioner.
What are you involved with on campus?
Callie: I have worked for the university for the past four years. For the past two years, I have greatly enjoyed working as the Orientation Program Assistant. I also serve as the membership chairperson for Mortar Board, which is an honor society for graduating seniors. Additionally, I am a member of the Student Social Work Organization.
Outside of school, what do you enjoy?
Callie: Outside of school, I enjoy cooking, reading, and having coffee with friends.
Of your activities on- or off-campus (residence life, student organizations, internships, etc.), what has been the most rewarding and why?
Callie: The most rewarding part of my Northern experience has been working as an Orientation Program Assistant. I love working directly with the students and families while they get acclimated to the university. I am most grateful for all the fantastic people I have gotten to work with within the Orientation and Academic Career Advisement Center department.
What does “be Northern” mean to you?
Callie: To me, “be Northern” means having your innovative ideas supported not only by staff and faculty but also by fellow students. “Be Northern” means being given the opportunities to be your true self.
What are your hopes or plans after graduation?
Callie: Following graduation this May, I will continue my education at the University of Michigan. I will be in the Advanced Standing Master’s of Social Work program with a specialization in school social work.
Further comments about your NMU experience?
Callie: I am so grateful for the support from my professors and the community at Northern. ☺

hold onto your hats!, BH6 season 2 mid season finale episodes 6-10 discussion, a round of applause for the bh6 team
before we dive into the discussion, I would first like to give the BH6 writers and animators a round of applause and a big thank you!, the story and animation for the first half of season 2 improved so much compared to the 1st season that I can only imagine what you guys have planned for the next half of season 2. If, by some miracle, you guys are reading my post please know that I and so many others appreciate your hard work in making such a fun show to watch, I hope you guys are getting the recognition you deserve for working so hard.
Now, before we look over the big reveal of episode 10 I would first like to point out a few key details from certain episodes
first is a minor detail in episode 4 “something fishy”. Back in season 1 episode 2 Hiro grows concern for his secret identity when Karmi sees his face at a close range. Despite his worries, Hiro is safe on this matter since Karmi is more fond of his superhero alter ego and has no interest in believing that her hero is actually school Hiro.
This same issue is seen in season 1 episode 12 when hiro investigates a warehouse about some stolen metal, unfortunately, Yama is also in the warehouse. Once he knows it Yama Hiro once again grows concern for his secret identity since he has confronted Yama numerous times in his regular life,
thankfully, yama is not smart enough to put the two together and instead sees Hiros hero alter ego as just one of the members of big hero 6. With so much concern for his secret identity and the identities of his friends I always wondered, why dont they do something about it?. Well, as of season 2 episode 4 it appears that Hiro finally learned from his mistakes and has added a special feature to all of their helmets/ head pieces.
In season 2 episode 4, Gogo and Fred go to Richardson mole knowing that high voltage will be coming to him to steal back their electric orb. Once they arrive Richarson is delighted to see them but still has no idea that “lizard/chameleon guy” is actually fred since his suit covers his entire body (and he still has amnesia from S1Ep17) , but when he looks over to Gogo he asks,“do I know you?”,
gogo says no, then quickly presses a button on the side of her helmet that causes the screen of her helmet to fog up, completely hiding her face before Richardson can get a better look.
In the next shot we can still see Gogos face but that is most likely just for the fans to see. Richardson does not bring the subject of her secret identity back up again since its clear that he can only see the foggy screen
if this was done to gogos helmet then its likely that the others have this feature as well. In season 2 episode 8 when liv amara offers her help to big hero 6 in taking down the mayoi she reaches out her hand to hiro with a smile, attempting to appeal to him a as an alley
I have seen others posts questioning whether or not liv knows hiros real identity since they have confronted each other on numerous occasions, especially in episode 8.
since hiro added the new feature to everyones helmets to hide their faces in public, liv most likely does not know hiros secret identity...at least not yet.
also very quickly, concerning globby, we all saw how after he ate nega globby nega globbys eye appeared on globbys back near the end of episode 5. I can already see this a mile away, negaglobby will try to take control of 9globby or use his body to regenerate its own.
next lets talk about Wasabi, recently I have noticed an unfortunate situation happening to wasabi when it comes to transportation. Getting around town during their hero work is one of many challenges that bh6 faces, however, each team member has his or her own way of getting around fast, Fred has his super jump and can ride on Baymax when needed,
Honey lemon can also ride on Baymax with ease and will often create a slide or bounce ballot from her chem purse to get around faster.
Hiro of course never leaves baymaxs side, so he can fly whenever
naturally, gogo is the most skilled out of all of them since she also has her skates and new bike
Wasabi, unfortunately, is the only one at a disadvantage. Wasabi is afraid of heights so riding baymax is usually a no for him (unless he has no choice). Yes, he has a car, however, that is a challenge of its own. In episode 6 when the team chases after a trio of suspicious cars everyone keeps up except wasabi who we first see is running and falling behind, we then see that he had no other choice but to take a taxi just to catch up to the others after the chase ended.
in episode 10, when the team undergoes a monster chase exercise, everyone keeps up with Fred except wasabi who gets stuck in traffic and has no choice but to wait the traffic out before he can meet up with everyone to eat.
with 15 episodes left of season 2, I really hope the bh6 team has plans to improve wasabis character so he can keep up with the others and not just be played off as a comedic gag.
setting aside these details I would also like to talk about a sudden name reveal in episode 9. After supersonic sue kidnaps baron von steamer, baron begins ranting about everyones silly dependence on electricity and how his base was the only one with power during a major black out, near the end of his rant he shows hatred towards one particular villain called “THE DARK VOLT”,
sue appears to have some connection to him as well as she states that it was the dark volt who created her electric elbow guards.
Near the end of the episode when steamer and sue bicker about who is boss awesomes true #1 enemy they finally ask boss awesome himself to settle the matter, but rather than admit that neither one is his true enemy he simply jokes that its “cabbage soup”,
but boss awesome, like every superhero, must have a true #1 enemy. Batman has the Joker, Superman has lex luther etc. etc. and right now the most likely suspect for boss awesome true #1 enemy is the one they call “the dark volt” who I suspect will make an appearance later on in the series as part of another filler or possibly be directly involved with a major point of the story
and speaking of super villains, with BH6 already renewed for a third season, who will be the next big bady that the team will face off against in season 3? . In season 1 episode 18, liv was introduced but soon shrugged off as a minor character, that is until she became involved with a major plot point of the story, orso knox.
Not only that, once we found out that her company was called sycorax (which ironically enough we later learned was the name of an evil witch in shakespears “the tempest” and was also the play that orso knox kept quoting as a way to tell others that it was liv who turned him into a monster) our suspicion of her true nature began to grow. My point being, if liv was already planned to be season 2s big bady and was only featured in minor appearances in season 1 as a way of foreshadowing her future villain role, then odds are the next big bady will soon make an appearance in the same manner in season 2. So who is it going to be? and will they be an even bigger threat than liv?
finally lets talk about the big question, what the heck is going on with liv amara?!, for 9 whole episodes we have all tried to piece together livs end game. So far, aside from knox, she has mutated Momakase, high voltage, Ned Ludd and Mr. Sparkles. Before, I believed that liv was purposely mutating villains to later experiment on and possibly use them as minions to carry out her crimes by brainwashing them into obeying her every command. As of episode 10, I’m starting to see more hints that this might just be the case
what makes me say this? well, if you have seen the first discussion I posted on episodes 1-5 I suspected that liv added a special feature to the chips shes been implanting into villains that will not only gift them with special abilities but will also give her the power to control them. When high voltage escaped in episode 4 they didn't make a break for freedom, instead they returned to liv despite the lack of trust they had in her. But I gotta say, the real give away was Mr. Sparkles. In episode 8 we learn that Mr. Sparkles had paid liv to give him the power to control a small army of genetically enhanced fungus, the mayoi.
Liv agrees to his terms but also bargains with him to take the blame for all the mutated villains in san fransokyo. Its obvious that sparkles agreed to this set up since he is not one to pass up being the center of attention.
and why did liv ask Sparkles to take the blame for her mutations? because she knows that its only a matter of time before bh6 come after her. Her worries began when she finally noticed that regular people like Hiro and Karmi are now questioning her work (and again, I dont think liv knows Hiro is a member of bh6...yet). When liv created the mayoi she tells Chris that they (as well as sparkles) are their new insurance policy.
Liv knows that if she has any hope of accomplishing her goal she must first make sure that she and sycorax are protected , and what better way to keep the public and bh6 away from her than posing as a hero and saving the city. In episode 8 when sparkles questions her appearance during his big attack we see him reading a stack of papers, its clear that the whole scene with liv appearing and saving the city was scripted,
and just to make sure liv kept her end of the bargain, liv only created a serum that would return the mayoi back to their regular size rather than back to “normal”, and by “normal” I mean a pile of motionless fungus
. And guess what, her plan worked!, with the whole city viewing her as a hero as well as having the entire police force indebted to her for donating their new k-9 unit (S2E4) no one will be able to confront liv about being responsible for the mutations and crimes without being pinned as the bad guy themselves.
In episode 10 we see sparkles again (along with high voltage in eel form), only this time he is stealing a large sum of gold for liv,
this sudden behavior of aiding liv after episode 8 is very unlike sparkles, sparkles does not like working, let alone sharing the spotlight with someone else. In episode 7, sparkles was working with yama, but as soon as he had the cash he needed sparkles asked yama to steal a rare (completely fake) comic book.
This search turned out to be a double cross so sparkles could have enough time to take all the cash, turn the cops on yama and make a quick getaway.
So then why of all things would sparkles suddenly settle for working under liv now that he got what he wanted from her?, unless, its not what he really wants to do,
in episode 10 when the Bessie monster steals gold from a highly secured facility, its clear that its heading back to liv.
When liv later confirms that she has acquired the gold she needed it verifies that the Bessie beast is also under her control.
The only one thats missing now is momakase, if momakase is also under livs control then she is most likely out doing top secret jobs for liv as well, however, momakase is not like the other villains, she is highly skilled and specializes in stealthy activities, so liv would most likely not waste someone like her on grunt work.
everything that liv has done was for one reason and that reason was soon discovered to be whatever was inside that giant pod in episode 5.
Finally, in episode 10, we discover that the liv we have seen since season 1 and the start of season 2 was in fact NEVER the real liv amara!, the REAL liv amara was actually inside that giant pod we saw back in episode 5!!!, this fake liv amara has been secretly trying to bring back the real liv amara the entire time!
granted, without a true reveal, we dont know yet if the fake liv is a clone or just livs twin sister. My main concern is, how did the real liv end up in a cryogenic state? and If the fake livs end game was to bring back the real liv amara, then what is the real liv amaras end game?
as for how the real liv ended up in a cryogenic state, I think I may have an idea. First, when fake liv is running thru the real livs file we see a picture of a virus on the screen,
there are many types of viruses, however, this particular one which looks like a spider is called a “bacteriophage”, basically a bacteriophage will attach itself to a cell and inject its own DNA into the persons cell, the virus DNA will then sneakily attach itself to the cells regular DNA so it can be duplicated thru something called “the cell cyle” which is what a cell does to make a clone of itself, only this time, since the cell is infected with a viruses DNA, it is also making a bunch of clones of the virus, once enough virus clones are made they tear the cell apart(killing it) and spread out to infect the next nearby cell to start the whole mess all over again
In season 1 episode 2 Karmi explains that the the whole purpose of studying dangerous viruses is to make them less dangerous and figure out new uses for them,
in season 2 episode 3 Karmi explains again that the purpose of studying dangerous micro organisms is to make them less dangerous with “modified viral vectors that reprogram DNA”,
in season 1 episode 18 fake liv connects with karmi thru their shared interest in bio tech. And despite the amount of good that can be done in their field its not without its consequences. Just as it is possible to make a dangerous microorganism/virus less dangerous it can also be made into a more dangerous version of its old self. In episode 4 when fake liv is talking to high voltage she has a hologram of someones DNA on her table, this DNA was most likely the real liv amaras DNA.
In episode 10 fake liv talks to Bluff Dunder (the news guy) and explains that she and her team are working on a cure for a rare disorder/disease.
Odds are, the real liv amara really was looking to cure a rare disorder but in the process of figuring out how to make the virus that caused it less deadly and more manageable she accidentally made it more dangerous and ended up accidentally infecting herself with it, or worse, she could have already had the disease to begin with but because it is illegal to experiment on humans (seriously, in real life if you do this you go to jail!) she willingly tested on herself out of desperation to see if she could reprogram/remove the virus within herself. Either way, things did not turn out the way real liv wanted and is instead now in a critical state after her failed attempt to cure herself. The virus could have mutated to the point where it began to spread at a faster rate, that DNA hologram back in episode 4 had 1 piece missing,
that piece could be the portion of real livs DNA that contains the virus DNA. Fake liv must have been desperately trying to figure out how to remove it without killing real liv and before the virus managed to finish the job. Its possible that the only reason fake liv turned to a life of crime was because she got fed up with struggling to cure real liv thru legal means, after all, fake liv did say that she would do whatever it takes to bring her back.
which brings me to the next issue, why does fake liv need gold to cure the rare disorder/disease?, well, recently I found out that scientists in real life are researching how to to use gold nano particles to detect viruses, making it easier to remove a virus from a persons body. When Chris hands fake liv a cupcake covered in gold she finally gets the break through shes been looking for as she says, “Gold!, bio compatible nanoparticles, yes!”.
At first, back in episode 5, fake liv was probably planing on using globbys self regeneration ability to destroy as much of the viruses DNA as possible while at the same time repairing the damaged cells and DNA along the way, however, since nega globby proved to unstable she decided to scrap the idea. However, none of that matters now that fake liv has the gold she needs to finally save the real liv.
so, now that we know its only a matter of time for the real live to wake up, what will happen once the real liv amara retakes her position from fake liv ? .Will she be just as cold blooded as fake liv and continue to use mutated villains to do her dirty work while she operates from the shadows to fulfill her true end game? ( whatever it may be?!). Will real liv become horrified with what her clone (or twin) has done to bring her back, causing fake liv to go rogue and start acting out on her own crazy ideals, possibly leaving real liv to play the good twin (or clone) and instead deciding to help bh6 take fake liv down before her plans destroy all of san fransokyo?!.
Will the BH6 writers and animators use real liv as part of some bigger plan, resulting in a final gigantic plot twist near the end of season 2 that will completely destroy us emotionally and have us desperately waiting for answers during the season 3 hiatus???????!!!!!!!!!!!... whos to say... but hey!, thats just a theory, a big hero 6 theory!
