Genesis 15:3-5 (FBV). [3] “Abram went on to complain, “Look! You haven't given me any children, so a servant from my household has to be my heir!” [4] But then the Lord told him, “This man won't be your heir. Your heir will be your very own son.” [5] The Lord took Abram outside and said to him, “Look up at the sky. See if you can count the stars! That's how many descendants you will have!”
Genesis 16:1-4 (FBV) [1] “Sarai, Abram's wife, hadn't been able to have any children for him. However, she owned a female Egyptian slave named Hagar, [2] so Sarai said to Abram, “Please listen to me. The Lord hasn't let me have any children. So please go and sleep with my slave. Maybe I can have a family through her.” Abram agreed to what Sarai had suggested. [3] So Sarai, Abram's wife took her Egyptian slave Hagar and gave her to her husband as his wife. Abram had been living in the land of Canaan for ten years when this happened. [4] Abram slept with Hagar and she became pregnant. When she realized she was pregnant, she treated her mistress with contempt.”
Psalm 27:13 (NIV). “I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.”
“Waiting for God” by In Touch Ministries:
“Trusting God's timing is always a wise choice.”
“Our culture is an “instant” society. A fast pace isn’t necessarily bad, but we should guard against becoming so set on immediate fulfillment that we can’t wait for God’s timing
In Genesis 15:4-5, after Abraham shared frustration about him and Sarah being childless, God revealed the couple would have a son and innumerable descendants would follow. Abraham believed God but eventually decided to handle matters on his own, building a family through Sarah’s servant (Genesis 16:1-4).
Abraham probably rationalized his decision, figuring that the Lord wanted him to have a son—and since it seemed impossible any other way, surely this must be what the Lord wanted him to do! But it wasn’t. Abraham had to deal with the consequences of his actions, including jealousy and resentment between Sarah and Hagar. These problems in turn created further difficulties, both in the short term and throughout history. The Lord was faithful, though—14 years later, Sarah gave birth to a son named Isaac.
Like Abraham, you might believe God’s promises but prefer instant results. Or you just want things done your way. Instead, ask the Father to lead you. Then wait for Him. His way may not be what you think you want, but it is always best.”

Psalm 115:1-3 (NASB1995) - Not to us, O LORD, not to us, But to Your name give glory Because of Your lovingkindness, because of Your truth. Why should the nations say, “Where, now, is their God?” But our God is in the heavens; He does whatever He pleases.

God, the Fortress
1 GOD is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 2 Thou hast been with us always; therefore will we not fear when the earth quakes and mountains are shaken into the heart of the sea, 3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the force thereof. — Psalm 46:1-3 | Lamsa Bible (LAMB) Holy Bible From The Ancient Eastern Texts: Aramaic Of The Peshitta by George M. Today's Spiritual Disciplines
As the Day Begins: Seeking Strength in His PresenceIn this morning’s meditation on 1 Chronicles 16:11, we are called to begin each day by seeking the Lord’s strength and presence. In doing so, we root ourselves in His power rather than our own striving, setting the tone for a Spirit-led day. A Year in the Life of Jesus: When Seeing Still Isn’t BelievingOur reading in Matthew 12:38–42 reminds us…

Christ is King. Adam was also king, but he failed to exercise dominion over the serpent. Jesus has conquered the serpent, and all authority on Heaven and on Earth has been given to Him. He is enthroned at the right hand of the Father and will reign until His last enemy, death, is subdued.

Psalm 126:1-3 (NLT). [1] “When the Lord brought back his exiles to Jerusalem, it was like a dream! [2] We were filled with laughter, and we sang for joy. And the other nations said, “What amazing things the Lord has done for them.” [3] Yes, the Lord has done amazing things for us! What joy!”
Isaiah 55:11 (NLT). [11] “It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.”
“Telling It Like It Is” by In Touch Ministries:
“No matter what your story with God is, He can use your testimony to impact others.”
“People love inspiring stories. Biographies of the down-and-out who make great use of a second chance tend to top bestseller lists. But few people experience something so dramatic in their life—most of us are wonderfully ordinary. Sadly, some believers think that being a “regular Joe” makes their testimony unexciting and therefore less valuable. Nothing could be further from the truth.
A personal testimony is a way of expressing what God has done and is doing in our life. No matter how commonplace our words may sound compared to someone else’s, the Lord will see to it that they impact the hearers who need them.
For example, imagine this: A 6-year-old girl accepts Christ. When she is 18, she will be able to tell her friends of God’s greatness. She can explain that He made the gospel clear to a child and yet reveals something new to her every day. When she is 80, she’ll be able to share about a lifetime of walking with Jesus. Her testimony may not be “exciting,” but it doesn’t need to be. It will be spiritual gold.
No matter what your story is, God can and will use it. You have no idea how far-reaching your testimony can be. God says that His words will not return to Him void (Isaiah 55:11). And the story of Jesus’ saving grace is always inspiring.”

Psalm 105:1-3 (NASB1995) - Oh give thanks to the LORD, call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples. Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; Speak of all His wonders. Glory in His holy name; Let the heart of those who seek the LORD be glad.

1 I waited patiently for the LORD; he inclined to me and heard my cry.
2 He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure.
3 He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the LORD.

Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Psalm 100:1-3
