Happy Palm Sunday everyone!

This year, the observance has really moved me. The image of people lining the streets where Jesus rode through and shouting "Hosanna!" keeps replaying in my mind. It's a word I feel like shouting at the moment. It's a word which means "save us", a plea for salvation, but it's also a cry of joy and praise, like the children at the temple shouting, "Hosanna to the Son of David!". It's a plea for salvation spoken with the joy of knowing the Saviour will deliver it to you. In the week leading up to my baptism on Easter Sunday, my heart is crying out "Hosanna!" too. ❤️🌿

It has been SUCH a happy season in our family! We've celebrated 5 birthdays -- me, Iva, Jannes, Hosanna, and Immanuel! Isn't it sweet that my two sets of twins have their birthdays so close? And I'm a twin too -- my family truly has been blessed!

Little Immanuel and Hosanna are still so sweet! Hosanna is so servant-hearted, and when she's not playing with her siblings or helping out, she loves to learn about animals or even go outside and find some little critters to care for! I'm sure she'd love to marry a vet or a farmer when she's older, so she can help out! And with all that gorgeous blonde hair and her sweet nature, he'll be a lucky man! Immanuel is going to be such a strong leader when he's older -- he's just like Natan at his age! He can be a little challenging to manage, but it's always good to have another proper little boy running around outside.

Jannes, on the other hand, still hasn't grown out of being too shy and timid for a boy. He likes to sit inside and read, and we have to keep a close eye on what he's reading, to make sure it's all God-fearing and appropriate. He's also too eager to help out with things that really are women's work - it's very good-natured but he'll not be a good headship with an attitude like that!

Iva is still our problem child, but I think the Lord has done some work on breaking her spirit, and she's now much better at being obedient and helpful than she was as a little girl. However, she still struggles with having a cheerful spirit, and she isn't good at putting other's needs above her own. We'll have to pray that this changes or she'll never get a husband (she also needs to lose some weight for this same issue). We're also praying that she'll develop a less vain and immodest spirit. She was allowed to buy her own clothes as a birthday present, and the skirt she picked was far too short, and needs a underskirt. She's not too happy about this, but mothers need to protect their daughters' dignity and countenance.

And I've turned 40! While entering a new season of life is always bittersweet, I am so excited to see what God has planned for me in my next few years. We pray every day to be blessed with a new baby, but I'll be content with however many children God decides to bless me with, as my mama years are going to soon over. Even though this is a sadness, having grown-up children means weddings and grandchildren soon enough. And nothing makes my heart happier than knowing my children are on the path the Lord has for them.

Black Sun (Earthrealm’s Religious Cult)

The Black Sun is an organization led by the most powerful men and women across earthrealm. They are not an organization or a syndicate similar to Red or Black Dragon. Rather they are a Cult. A group of infiltrators and spies. They have their fangs in everything including politics, religion, businesses and the entertainment world.

They believe that they should be the ones to rule Earthrealm and they will do anything in their power to get rid any and all Gods.

The Black Sun would be considered the illuminati of the Mk universe.

The Black Sun was founded nearly a thousand before the events of the  first Mk game. The Black Sun was established by a mortal who’s name has been forgotten by history. This man was a formal friend of the Gods but turned traitor and even got one of the Gods killed, presumably.

Out of guilt the man took his own life and ended up in the Netherrealm as a spirit. While he was in he Netherrealm he encounter Lucifer and his brother Hosanna about to storm Shinnok’s palace to retake the throne.

The man become deeply upset and furious although the reason why is unknown. Quan Chi took advantage of the mortal’s anger and convinced him to overthrow earthrealm’s Pantheon. However the angered spirit wanted to do more than just dethrone the Gods. He wanted to take control of earthrealm and bring the realm's fate back into the hands of mortals. 

The spirit became flesh once more and for  generations he gathered humans who would join his cause for world domination and with that the Black Sun was founded. 

However their founder was captured by Lord Raiden and placed on trial for the execution of an earthrealm’s Protector. He never confesses to being the killer, but he did admit that he was responsible for forming the Black Sun. As punishment for his crimes the spirit lost his physical form and was imprisoned in the jar of traitors.  

When Raiden turned into Dark Raiden he declare war on the Black Sun and he personally hunted down every single member regardless of who they are and their authoritative position as a means to purge earthrealm of its corruption. The Black Sun would have been wiped out if it wasn’t for a few members who had escaped Raiden’s wrath. They seek refuge with those who wish to take Raiden down. Some even fled to the Red and Black Dragon as they sought refuge with their allies
