“The Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, to guide and to shield me], I shall not want.” —Psalm 23:1 (AMP)
A prayer for today 🙏
“A Prayer For Inner Strength”:
“Dear God, Please give me the strength to face the day and to see the many blessings that it contains. Give me the courage to walk on, no matter how long the path or how many turns the road holds. Guide my thoughts so that I walk in love and peace and with gratitude stamped on my heart.” —“Ramblings of the Claury”
“And this is love: that we walk in accordance with His commandments and are guided continually by His precepts. This is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning, that you should [always] walk in love.” —2 John 1:6 (AMP)

Devotional for February 23rd
As the deer longs for streams of water,        so I long for you, O God. I thirst for God, the living God.        When can I go and stand before him? — Psalm 42:1-2
Insight
As the life of a deer depends upon water, so our lives depend upon God. Those who seek him and long to understand him find never-ending life.
Challenge
Feeling separated from God, this psalmist wouldn't rest until he restored his relationship with God because he knew that his very life depended on it.

Jesus is Coming
Some years ago I was walking around the reception tables after a wedding I had performed. An older woman approached me with a question. Almost everyone present at this particular wedding had come from a high church liturgical tradition. In their tradition, they had sometimes weekly, sometimes monthly recited either the Apostle’s Creed or the Athanasian Creed. But apparently, she hadn’t been…

Unbelievable! The Woman Who Believed in a Preposterous Message
Almost every Christmas pageant contains the Angel’s appearance to Mary. Luke’s narrative about Mary’s conversation with Gabriel described her reaction to some pretty unbelievable news. If you think about it, there is much to learn from Mary’s response to God’s messenger. (And BTW, the Greek word for angel is anggelos, or messenger—simply put, a courier who brings a message, or a word from someone…

What Do You Believe During Your Time in the Wilderness? (192) - May 6 2023
LISTEN TO THIS PODCAST Pastor Catrice speaks on this week’s topic about the heart of the Christian when finding themselves in a Wilderness. Moses sent out scouts to report back what they found in Canaan, the land which God had given His children. However, some of them brought back an evil report because they were afraid by what they saw and didn’t acknowledge the Lord and believe He would give…

Character and Reputation
Psalm 26:1-2. Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide. Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart. (I want to apologize for going missing yesterday. Had an early appointment for medical reasons, and just didn’t get back into my usual groove. Back on track now.) More than once, David pleads with God to…

The LORD is my Shepherd; therefore, I shall not be in want. Psalm 23:1
I shall lack nothing, because I have the best possible shepherd taking care of me. He makes me lie down in green pastures. (Psalm 23:1-2) Our Shepherd leads and feeds us. Our Shepherd guards and guides us. Our Shepherd is good and gracious to us forever. Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, is the Good Shepherd who laid down His life for the sheep and then rose again victorious over all our foes. With our Good Shepherd beside us, we have no evil to fear and every good to look forward to! Hallelujah!
