Character and Reputation
Psalm 26:1-2. Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide. Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart. (I want to apologize for going missing yesterday. Had an early appointment for medical reasons, and just didn’t get back into my usual groove. Back on track now.) More than once, David pleads with God to…

Won't He Do It
Psalms 144:1-2 There is only one strong, safe, and secure place for me; it’s in God alone who gives me strength for the battle. He’s my shelter of love and my fortress of faith, who wraps himself around me as a secure shield. I hide myself in this one who subdues enemies before me. Get A Kingdom Perspective Don’t quit. You are seeing things through the eyes of a worldly viewpoint. God is right…

“Hidden but Not Hidden” By Bible Love Notes:
“Psalm 119:11 says: “I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.”
In this verse, hidden doesn't mean concealing God's Word. It means storing it up and treasuring it in our hearts.
If you read all 176 verses of Psalm 119, you'll discover many ways that the psalmist hid God's Word in his heart. For example:
Psalm 119:9-16: “How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word. 10 I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. 11 I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. 12 Praise be to you, LORD; teach me your decrees. 13 With my lips I recount all the laws that come from your mouth. 14 I rejoice in following your statutes as one rejoices in great riches. 15 I meditate on your precepts and consider your ways. 16 I delight in your decrees; I will not neglect your word.”
In these verses, the psalmist hides God's Word by:
1. Obeying it – verse 9. “But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.” —James 1:22‭-‬25 (NLT)
2. Seeking God in it – verse 10. “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” —Matthew 6:33 (NKJV)
3. Studying it with the Spirit's help – verse 12. “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” —John 14:26 (NKJV)
4. Reciting it – verse 13. “Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.” —Colossians 3:16 (NLT)
5. Enjoying it – verse 14. “The commandments of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are clear, giving insight for living.” —Psalm 19:8 (NLT)
6. Meditating on it – verse 15. “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.” —Philippians 4:8 (NKJV)
7. Spending time regularly in it – verse 16. “—”Study and do your best to present yourself to God approved, a workman [tested by trial] who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth.” —2 Timothy 2:15 (AMP)
Are you “hiding” God's Word in your heart?”

"DON'T WAIT UNTIL THANKSGIVING TO THANK HIM!"
Read: 1 Chronicles 16:7-36 “O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever” (1 Chronicles 16:34 AMP) We often think of Gratitude in terms of Gain: Someone gives you a ride to work. A neighbor cooks a meal when you’ve had surgery. Your boss notices your hard work and gives you a raise. The kids clean up the house or your husband cooks dinner. For…

Meditation and Solitude P1,2 | Tim Mackie [Romans 8:26-27]
Now what is this meditating? There's the meditate all clear? It's just very clear what it means in English right? Meditate, that's not a clear word in English at all — because it's a word that has been picked up to describe the kinds of practices or spiritual practices in many different kinds of religious traditions.
So what does it mean in the biblical tradition? What does it mean in the Jewish? What does it mean in the Christian tradition?
And of course I have to teach you the Hebrew word because that's what I do, so this is a really good one:
It's the word hagah, which is used a handful of times in the Biblical Hebrew — and actually the majority of times that you learn about or you see this word used
• it's not referring to people • it's referring to animals who are doing this
So in Isaiah, a lion hagahs & it's particularly a lion who has just shredded a lamb to pieces, & is like sitting there over the meat, the fur, & stuff & like beginning to eat it..
1.] Doves Hagah the Most
And that lion is is said to be hagahing over its prey, there's a number actually the most of the passages in the Bible that use this word are describing doves
And what doves do? [1:21]
In other words, this is a word that means to mumble or to whisper or to speak silently or Softly & so a lion hagaz [Isaiah 31:4, growls] over a little slaughtered lamb, doves hagah [Isaiah 38:14; Isaiah 59:11 groan] when they're up on the power lines, making noises to themselves; and
Romans 8:26-27 | Future Glory [2 Corinthians 5:1-10] In the same way, the SPIRIT helps us in our weakness. For we do not know how we ought to pray, but the SPIRIT HIMSELF intercedes for us with groans too deep for words; ²⁷ & HE WHO searches our hearts knows the mind of the SPIRIT, because the SPIRIT intercedes for saints according to the will of GOD.
humans [Joshua 1:8; Psalm 1:2, soliloquize/muse on a subject/thing]. Humans hagah when they have the Scriptures in front of them in these quiet moments —that they have patterned to regularly happen thru -out the day & night of their lives.
1.1] So what does that mean?
Does this mean just like read your Bible & pray?
This is something in between reading your Bible & then like praying & making your request known to GOD —it is this form of relational interaction with GOD & Scriptures as the medium.
……………………………………………………………………………………… The Scriptures as I read them aloud to myself slowly & carefully/prayerfully & they become this way that I have an interaction with JESUS that's what Psalm 1 is referring to & this is the in a way of engaging the Scriptures! ………………………………………………………………………………………
That's actually mentioned quite a number of times in the Scriptures themselves—and it seems to me this is surely one of the things, I think even one of the main things that JESUS was doing in these moments we are called to pray & to read the Bible & to hagah.
And that this is part of the regular practice so that it's not just like you sit by yourself . . . How many of you have tried to pray and you just get utterly lost in your own thoughts, you know & you're just like whoa!
What just happened to me?!
Like somehow, like this train of association disrupted the entire meditation on GOD, so this to me has been one of the greatest gifts is learning and adopting this practice—because you are actually focusing on some -thing that's not your own thoughts.
……………………………………………………………………………………… You're focusing on the Scriptures, but you're engaged with them—not to learn something; so that's why the Book of Psalms, I think has formed the prayer book for this practice for so many millennia. ………………………………………………………………………………………
Now it's because once you pray through it a number of times, it becomes familiar to you, then it becomes the way for you to use these prayers of the Psalms.
But to become your own prayers in some ways, but this is about this experiential engagement with the Scriptures—so I would say go to the Book of Psalms, or go to a passage that you already are familiar with
• because the point is not learning • point is to to read this text slowly & aloud to yourself & then to engage with it, think about what it means to all of life. Why did GOD say it?

When recognizing a mistake, don't you instinctively strive for improvement? Similarly, when life knocks someone down, don't they inherently seek to rise stronger than before?
Our inner light is the greatest source of guidance. Is it not fitting that celebrities are called stars, shining bright? When we close our eyes, darkness fades, revealing our own radiant potential. Didn't the dragon's tail sweep away a third of the stars and hurled them to earth, reminding us God's Word is our eternal illumination?

BE BLESSED!
"Now therefore let it please you to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue forever before you; for you, Lord Yahweh, have spoken it. Let the house of your servant be blessed forever with your blessing." 2 Samuel 7:29
The Lord remembers us and will bless us: He will bless those who fear the Lord—small and great alike. May the Lord make you increase, both you and your children. May you be blessed by the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. … May God be gracious to us and bless us and make His face shine upon us.
The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace.
May the Lord, the God of your ancestors, increase you a thousand times and bless you as He has promised!

i'm just now falling back into my faith, and I've just been really scared that Jesus doesn't love me.. like, since I avoided Him and His word for so long.. how can I fix this?
When anxiety tells us something different than the Word, we know it’s a lie. Jesus absolutely loves you, more than you could ever know. It’s not dependent on what you do. You are one of His creations. He loves you and is just happy to be reunited with you.
Christ died for you, no matter what you’ve done that you think would make him mad at you.
Romans 5:8: “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us”.
Also, we are not saved or loved by Jesus because of what we do (because of our works). We are saved and loved by Jesus because of God’s grace, because of what Jesus did for us.
Ephesians 2:8-10: "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast."
More verses that show God is not the type to hold grudges:
1 John 1:5 (NIV): "This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all."
1 John 4:8 (NIV): "Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love."
Psalm 136:26 “Give thanks to the God of heaven. His love endures forever.” (Psalm 136:26) — forever!
God is just waiting to forgive us. Jesus paid the price. You can turn back to Christ anytime and confess your sins.
“1 John 1:9 (NIV): "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."
Jesus loves you soooo much and wants to help you. Cry out to Him with a humble heart (like by acknowledging you wouldn’t exist without Him) and ask for His help with staying consistent in His word and help with following Him. You can ask him for help with absolutely anything. You can ask him for help with asking for help, or with prayer, etc.
love you!

“[1] To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul.[2] O my God, in you I trust;do not let me be put to shame;do not let my enemies exult over me. [4] Make me to know your ways, O Lord;teach me your paths.[5] Lead me in your truth, and teach me,for you are the God of my salvation;for you I wait all day long. [10] All the paths of the Lord are steadfast love and faithfulness, for those who keep his covenant and his decrees.[11] For your name's sake, O Lord, pardon my guilt, for it is great.[12] Who are they that fear the Lord?He will teach them the way that they should choose.[13] They will abide in prosperity, and their children shall possess the land.[14] The friendship of the Lord is for those who fear him,and he makes his covenant known to them. [21] May integrity and uprightness preserve me,for I wait for you.” (From Psalm 25, NRSV)
“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.” (Ezekiel 36:26, NIV)
“Softening Your Heart” By In Touch Ministries: “When you trust God, there's no limit to what He can do through your life.”
“When we continually spend time with God in His Word, His presence will saturate our heart, making us sensitive and teachable. But just as a human relationship can grow cold unless we intentionally nurture it, the heart can gradually harden when we aren’t seeking intimacy with God. For our heart to stay soft and receptive, we must obediently—and promptly—respond to whatever the Lord tells us to do.
If you believe that God might be leading you in a certain direction, take the time to earnestly seek His mind on the matter and intentionally listen for His response. Then avoid getting busy with a substitute for what He originally called you to do. It would be tragic to work hard doing what you and others consider good, only to discover that you accomplished something that was not God’s intention.
Resisting the Lord often amounts to setting His purposes for your life on a shelf. And that will likely leave you feeling something is missing. There’s no substitute for God’s will, even when His plan might seem difficult or impossible. But when you trustfully approach God with a cooperative heart, there’s no limit to what He can accomplish through your life. So, step out in obedience today and say, “Lord, I want Your will—no matter what.”

What’s your opinion on transgenders people? I ask as i have seen you reblog a few things and I am unsure on your stance. I mean this in no judgmental way i would just like to know your thoughts
anon this ask both excites me and fills me with caution, but! I will provide you with what you seek!
what do I think about transgender people? Here’s my answer to that, but be warned, it is lengthy!
1) they’re to be treated as people, not outcasts. Human is human, and we are supposed to treat fellow humans with love, care, and respect, even if we don’t agree with the people in question, or if it’s just plain hard.
2) I say this with gentleness: their perceptions of themselves are skewed*, and there are many reasons for this with the primary one being that we live in a broken world, which leads to everything else. But one of the absolute worst things we can do to trans people/ people who want to be trans, regardless of the reason, is to go along with the idea that they are or can be any other gender than the one they were born with. As you can probably tell, I believe in the God of the Bible, and that while human hands may have written the physical book, He speaks through the people that wrote it. So let’s let His Word do the talking.
You know the creation story, yeah? It’s ok if you don’t, let’s recap anyways:
Every day for 6 days, God made aspects of our universe, and when He declared everything finished – perfect! God’s work ain’t finished ‘till it’s perfect – He rested on the 7th day (Genesis 1 and 2). On the 6th day He made humans, male and female, and they were made in the image of God Himself (Gen. 2:26). They were also the only aspect of creation God formed with His own hands; Genesis 2:7 says God made the first man from the dust of the earth, and verses 21-22 says He took a piece of the man to make the first woman.
That might not seem huge to you, but it speaks volumes of the care God put into humanity specifically. Everything else – the sun, stars, sky, trees, dogs, almost everything you can think of – God simply spoke them into existence. But for humans; for you, anon? He got up, got His hands dirty, and shaped your head, your heart, your spirit, your body. He gave humanity a literal special touch that He gave to nothing else.
This is reinforced again by God speaking through king David’s Psalm 139, verses 13-16:
13 You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body     and knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!     Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. 15 You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion,     as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. 16 You saw me before I was born.     Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out     before a single day had passed.
God is omnipresent, meaning that He’s everywhere all the time any time, and nothing escapes His knowledge. This includes the creation of a new human being (again: male or female, no secret 3rd option for this one). And because God Himself – who makes no mistakes – oversees and ordains the creation of every new little boy or girl, wouldn’t it make sense that God would make them as He intended to make them: perfectly, without mistake? There is then no ground for the “born in the wrong body” argument to stand on, because God made your body with you in mind; your body was made specifically for you, and there were no errors on His end.
Now, what if you just straight up don’t like your body? I think everyone has disliked their body and/or felt uncomfortable in it at some point, that includes me. If someone’s going through puberty then they are almost guaranteed to be uncomfortable in their body because that kiddo and their body both are growing up. Sometimes you’re uncomfortable in your body simply because it’s changing, but this particular change is a good thing! Going through puberty is a sign that your body is working as it should, even if it feels weird. To try and block this transition from happening, or deliberately alter it, is to actively harm your body’s natural progression.
So yes, I do think that a trans person’s view of their body – that they were made for a different body and so they should change it – is not only wrong, but harmful to themselves in the long run. Why are we affirming this; giving people of all ages the means to scar themselves to feel good in the now?
Last bit before the TL;DR: if there’s anyone out there who thinks God won’t except them for any reason that you can think of, I’m gonna stop you right there. There is grace for you. Yes, even for that; please refer to my pinned post. And also this.
My explanation doesn’t cover all bases I’m sure, but the TL;DR is that the human body is a sacred thing designed by God, with care, made differently and specifically for every individual person, and it is medical malpractice (evil) to alter it within the context of transgenderism. If you have undergone the gender transition at any time – or have done anything else, ever – God still loves you with his whole heart, and He wants you to let Him help you with whatever may have dragged you down this time. Even if it was self-inflicted.
Lastly, some stuff I didn’t know how to cleanly fit into All That
*it is worth noting that basically everyone has a skewed perception of themselves about different things and to different degrees, but in this context I mean “a skewed perception of how a trans person relates to their body”
Creation was deemed “good” before people, but after people, God declared it “very good.” Again, in Genesis 1. I literally cannot stress enough how much God wants people to come to Him for whatever the reason

Blessed Are the Forgiven
A Maskil of David.
1 Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. 2 Blessed is the man against whom the Lord counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.
3 For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. 4 For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer. Selah
5 I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah
6 Therefore let everyone who is godly offer prayer to you at a time when you may be found; surely in the rush of great waters, they shall not reach him. 7 You are a hiding place for me; you preserve me from trouble; you surround me with shouts of deliverance. Selah
8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. 9 Be not like a horse or a mule, without understanding, which must be curbed with bit and bridle, or it will not stay near you.
10 Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the Lord. 11 Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, O righteous, and shout for joy, all you upright in heart! — Psalm 32 | English Standard Version (ESV) The Holy Bible, English Standard Version. Snails are the devil’s children. Evidence:
1. Repelled by salt
2. Come up when it rains? Where do they come ‘up’ from? Hell, that’s where
3. Snails. Satan. Both start with S. Coincidence? I think not
4. Cursed to live without legs, just like the devil
5. Genesis 26:12 “Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year a hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him”. As we can clearly see, God’s love is directly proportional to your agricultural output. And what do snails do? Eat your crops. Snails are trying to steal God’s love for you because he has none for them
6. Psalms 58:8, “As a snail which melteth, let every one of them pass away”. It doesn’t get clearer than that. God is telling us to kill snails, to melt them, to let them ”pass away”. God hates snails, and so should you
