I think its somewhat telling that the gnosis was placed inside the shouki no kami rather than scara containing it in his chest the same way that venti did with his gnosis. I get that its probably more so because scara needed a much grander body for his god form and the electro gnosis just so happened to be at the centre of it… but i cant help but think of it as the games way of telling us that he truly is not fit to contain the gnosis, even in peak form when all his powers are unleashed, he still needs to build a whole new body as the gnosis’ vessel, that the so called “heart” he thought was rightfully his would not actually make him satisfied or fulfilled, as it seems to be the embodiment of all of scara’s obsessions

The idea that they both don't understand humanity, that they both experience a degree of separation from everyone else.

Their 'perfection' separates them.

The idea of Albedo and the Shogun talking to each other, understanding each other in a way nobody else ever could.

The perfect creation, abandoned despite their creator leaving them a task, unlike their prototypes.

The lack of humanity, emotion, that they can both relate to.

Scara doesn't have puppet joints, but Raiden Shogun does. One of the things Ei realised and fixed between the prototyping and the final version was that whatever skin equivalent she uses isn't quite as elasticated as human skin, Scara has a limited range of movement as a result, but Shogun just has small gaps with visible puppet joints she's violently defensive over keeping covered by her outfit.

(this is also why Scara floats most of the time, because he has issues with balance, especially on uneven terrain-)

Mikoto had no idea how she got here.

One moment she was running away from her shitty father. Well, fake father would be precise. That's right, all those manhwa fake daughter and real daughter tropes were real. Then when she got on the road, a truck suddenly slammed into her, and she died.

No seven minutes of best memory. No seeing her loved ones.

Just death.

The next thing she sees is purple eyes, violet hair, and a sword in her hand. "What the fuck?" were her first words, much to the surprise of her creator and her bitchy fox wife.

She discovers she's the Raiden Shogun. Not Raiden Ei, but the puppet itself. As her creator activates her protocols and retreats to her realm, and the pink fox leaves with a small scoff, Mikoto begins to plan.

She knows she couldn't leave now, that would be unwise. She would have to wait until the Traveler came and the Inazuma Arc was completed. It would take a long time, but patience had its perks after all.

She waited, and waited, and waited some more. Untill the day of the 100tn Vision was obtained, and she saw familiar blonde hair and the pixie from the moon. "Finally." She said out loud, and ignored the questioning look on the Travelers face and dragged them to meet Ei.

Unfortunately, Mikoto had forgotten about Story Quests, and found herself fighting her creator over something she honestly didn't care about. Eternity? Fuck that shit. Staying stuck in the past was one of the worst things to do. It was better to move on and leave all the pain and trauma one had behind. It was better to grow and learn from the past so you wouldn't have to suffer in the future.

That was something Mikoto believed, but the beliefs and protocols shoved down her body refused to listen, and so her body fought and fought until she lost.

Weeks later, Mikoto woke up in a body that wasn't her own. Well, that wasn't her creator's. Her creator had made her a new body, and she nervously stared at Mikoto. "I hope. . . .that you can find the true meaning in your life, without me pushing down my own beliefs. You are now free to go."

Mikoto continued to stare at her, ignoring the way the Traveler sighed with exhaustion next to her. "You suck at this. No wonder big brother hates you."

An Anemo Vision hung on her hip as she stepped on a boat heading to Liyue, her now shoulder length hair swaying in the wind as she gave Inazuma a final middle finger.

Fuck everyone else, she was going to Liyue to become a farmer archons damm it.

Hi, I know you're mostly a Kaeya person but I saw your posts on the Shogun puppet and I had to say something because oh man do i have feelings about her. Like, first of all she was created to serve as a vessel for Ei, not even as her own person but it's also established that she has her own consciousness and people may say that "oh, she can't be truly conscious, she doesn't have her own personality" well no shit, she doesn't have her own personality, she was never given a chance to develop one because her creator used her as a meat suit essentially and really she's just fulfilling her purpose to exist as best as she can. It isn't her fault that her creator is a barely competent jock. Don't get me wrong I love Ei, but good lord is she an awful mother. Just. I want her and the Wanderer to meet up and bond over the shared trauma of having Ei as a mother and heal from it as siblings. Maybe they can even give each other names, seeing as their mother didn't bother. Honestly it would probably be good for Scaramoche too.

But in all realness, I am this close to snapping and writing my own fanfiction where the Shogun puppet was created after Sasyuri died so she at least gets a chance to develop as a person and meet Makoto, who would be the best aunt ever I swear.

Anyway, sorry for both rambling in your inbox and my english, the Shogun puppet does not get the love she deserves and thanks for running this blog. Also formatting cause I'm on mobile.

Clearly she's not conscious because she doesn't have her own personality when she has the exact personality I'd expect for someone who was forced to pretend to be their mother for 500 years and wasn't allowed to develop their own personal consciousness or sense of self. Like. What was Ei expecting?
