Mohou být houby klíčem ke zlepšení imunity
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Lidé brali stále více toxičtější drogy a nic nezabíralo," řekl JAMA. Výzkum Státního výzkumného centra virologie a biotechnologického vektoru v Rusku například identifikoval houby Chaga (Inonotus obliquus, Rezavec Šikmý), které mají „nejširší spektrum antivirové aktivity“ proti různým podtypům viru chřipky.

Si Yin is really embarrassed by Li Jing’s love confession. She doesn’t have that kind of feelings for him and she rejects hi. He says he wants to live with her like it was in the Ziming palace. Si Yin doesn’t really know what to say, she seems agitated, and says that he could sleep in the guests room that night and she’ll send him back down the mountain the next morning. She apologizes for disappointing him. Right then, Diefeng rushes in: he knows he’s Li Jing and wants to fight him, but Si Yin step the between of them. Diefeng won’t let him go and fights Li Jing. Si Yin begs to let him go and even Lingyu begs too, saying he helped them while they were in the Ziming palace and without his help, Lingyu might even have commit suicide. Si Yin tells Li Jing to go and Diefeng sends Zi Lan after him. It’s so nice to see Liu Ruilin in another role when I just finished a drama with him. Zi Lan is so less self asserted than Chiwu, it makes such a difference! Well, he didn’t catch up on Li Jing. He flee towards a cave that has a big evil aura and which Mo Yuan forbid his students to go near.
Si Yin takes Xuannü on a walk. Then Li Jing’s mount comes to get him and asks him  to save his master. They both leave Xuannü alone behind. He was attacked by a fire bird and Si Yin helps him fight it away. She’s about to slay it when an elder man tells her to have mercy. So he kept that phoenix there to eliminate it’s evil spirit, he didn’t think it would hurt them. So he’s going to take care of it. Then he gives to her another fan: Poyun fan.
Li Jing isn’t in the best of state and Si Yin takes care of him. She thanks him to have put himself between her and the phoenix. He says it was useless that he did. Si Yin tells him it’s normal that his cultivation would be oppressed in Kunlunxu when he’s from the Yi tribe. He feels worthless, but asks her a way to see her again. She gives him a piece of paper with markings on it (I can’t seem to remember the word and it’s like... so dumb) which will let him come and out freely of Kunlunxu. She tells him to be careful as her shixiong don’t know that she’s a girl and it has to remain that way.
Xuannü’s mom came to get her. She says she doesn’t want to go back and get married. Her mom says she’s only a second wife, she can’t be married like her big sister in a nice family in Qingqiu. She hides behind Diefeng who tells the mom why keep on forcing her on that marriage. She’s like, will you take responsibility for ruining my daughter’s wedding? Then Diefeng is like euhh... So Si Yin comes in to help. Siyin says he’s the second prince of the west sea and that he doesn’t have any engagement. So the mother is ohhh so you were opposing me because you are interested in Xuannü! Diefeng is like what no? But Si Yin and Lingyu stops him from talking and says he’s shy because they just developed feelings for her and if she rushes him that’s no good. Why not let Xuannü stay for a while to let their feeling grow? hahaha. When the mom leaves, Diefeng is really unhappy and  tells Xuannü he isn’t interested by her.
Li Jing sends poems to Si Yin. She’s really upset when Xuannü starts reading them aloud.
There’s a little flashback. Xuannü used to always tell Bai Qian how envious she was of her face, that she wanted so bad to look like her. Tired of her complaining, Bai Qian says she’ll just give it to her, Zhe Yan knows a spell for that.
Actually, Si Yin is really happy about the poems. Until one morning Li Jing’s mount sends him a letter in which Li Jing says he’s tired of living, goodbye this cruel world! Si Yin rushes to him, he’s lying down, eyes closed. Si Yin is super worried. She tries to bring him back with her fan but it doesn’t work. The mount says his affection his of the heart, not the body. So she says that if he wakes up, she’ll agree dating him. He starts smiling. She’s really mad about it and he says you can’t take back your promise, if you do I am really going to die. She’s like, suit yourself, I am going to class now. He’s so cheesy. He’s complaining that in the two weeks he has stayed in Kunlunxu, he has only seen her this time and promises that for the rest of his life, he’ll only love her, if he goes against his word, he’ll never have kids and lead a lonely life.
Xuannü is really jealous of Si Yin. She asks him why is he avoiding her? Si Yin is super uncomfortable. She tries lying but it doesn’t work at all. So she says lately she has been busy going to see her friend. Xuannü asks if she can go too. Si Yin doesn’t really want to, well I wouldn’t want either to bring someone extra on my dates too... She’s such a manipulative woman. Si Yin ends up agreeing to take her with him. But when Li Jing sees her, urrrgh. I didn’t remember he was mesmerized from the first sight. This makes me so sad, I loved Li Jing ): He says that when Si Yin’s too busy to come and visit him, she should come so he’s not bored. She then tells him that in the next day she might be busy because Mo Yuan is going to come out of isolation. She asks him if he will go back to his concubines but he promises he’ll stay in Kunlunxu and only have her. Li Jing is jealous that Si Yin talks so much about Mo Yuan. He also blames her for bringing someone with her when she comes to see him, so he can’t talk freely with her. Then she hears some birds and she leaves Li Jing right away. He follows her and  hears her conversation with Diefeng. She thought that Mo Yuan came out of isolation, but it was just Zi Lan. Diefeng praises him for his piety, but she says it’s not that, she just wants Mo Yuan to be out as soon as possible because it’s all because of her. Li Jing is heart broken and goes back to his grotto.
Xuannü wears Si Yin’s clothes to go and see Li Jing. At first, he thought she was Si Yin but he recognizes her fast enough. She tells him that it’s impossible for two people from the tian tribe and yi tribe to be together. Then he says that he knows, if she wasn’t form the tian tribe, he would have married her into Ziming palace. It’s nice because here Li Jing talks of Si Yin as a woman while Xuannü speaks of Si Yin as a man, she still hasn’t figured out that Si Yin is Bai Qian. Then she says that if Si Yin loves someone, it’s most likely Mo Yuan. Li Jing gets angry at hearing that. And then Xuannü takes Bai Qian’s appearance. Yang Mi here is doing such a good, imitating Xuannü’s facial expressions. Those characters are so different. It yikes me so much that people take Xuannü for Si Yin, they have nothing in common, except maybe that they are both petite.
Xuannü and Li Jing go together in the mortal realm. She says that if she was half important in his heart as Si Yin, she would feel contented. He feels really bad about that night they slept together. Oh no, actually he wanted to see Si Yin, but she was delayed so she sent Xuannü first to keep him company. As soon as Si Yin comes, he has no eyes for Xuannü, and she’s so pissed off. He asks Si Yin how long before he can leave his master and she says about 70 or 80 thousand years. He’s again jealous, saying that she just doesn’t want to leave Mo Yuan’s side. She gets a little concerned and wonders would told him something like that. Xuannü leaves, they are a little bit angry at each other. Uneasy moment. He takes out a little gift he made for her. It’s already a little better. Then she asks him if he ever went to Donghuan junji mount. She says next time they should go there together and he’s happier.
Qing Cang learns that Li Jing is gone and Li Yuan tells him he guesses he went to Kunlunxu to follow Si Yin. Qing Cang really isn’t happy about that. He says that if it is so, he’s not his son anymore.
Li Jing met with Xuannü again. And they do naughty thing ): Right that same moment, Si Yin is writting to Bai Zhen to tell him she likes Li Jing and asks him his advice since there will probably be a war between the tian tribe and the yi tribe. But right then, Diefeng comes in ranting about Li Jing. He say he saw Xuannü and Li Jing holding hands. Si Yin rushes out and when she gets to the grotto, Li Jing is on top of Xuannü kissing her. Poor Qian Qian TT

四象 Four Symbols
Tumblr media
Ancient Chinese have categorised the stars in the skies into seven different groups: 三垣 (San Yuan) and 四象 (Si Xiang).
San Yuan, means the Three Enclosures in the skies, consisting of 紫微垣 (Zi Wei Yuan aka Purple Forbidden Enclosure), 太微垣 (Tai Wei Yuan aka Supreme Palace Enclosure), and 天市垣 (Tian Shi Yuan aka Heavenly Market Enclosure). These three different enclosures played a huge part in ancient Chinese astrology as they represented the Royal Family, The Supreme Court, and the People respectively. (I know I promised a post on this but I also have not much time to get into it so y’all can just drop in asks if y’all wanna know anything about them. I’ll do my best to get answers for you.)
Si Xiang, means the Four Symbols, and they are located on the outer circle of the Three Enclosures. They’re The Azure Dragon of the East, The White Tiger of the West, The Vermilion Bird of the South, The Black Tortoise of the North. Meaning, the stars in the east looked like a dragon, the stars in the west looked like a tiger, the stars in the south looked like a huge bird, and the stars in the south looked like a tortoise and snake.
The stars become more visible and brighter according to seasons as Earth revolves around the Sun. The dragon is seen during the evenings of the interchange between winter and spring; the phoenix rises up during the interchange between spring and summer; the tiger raises its head during the interchange between summer and autumn; and the tortoise-snake combination shows itself during the interchange between autumn and winter.
These Four Symbols corresponds to directions as well as 五行 (Wu Xing, also known as the Five Elements).
Qing Long, The Azure Dragon of the East
Tumblr media
It originally is known as the God of the East in ancient mythology, and from the Pre Qin dynasty, it has been a mythical beast symbolising Tai Hao (a leader/emperor ruling BC4354-4239, the beginning of the Chinese) and the Eastern Seven Stars. Reaching the Han dynasty, where Wu Xing was starting to be more prevalent, the Azure Dragon then also represents the element of Wood, as well as the Spring and the first two archaic numerics.
It is recorded in the third script of Huai Nan Zi: The highest and noblest among the heavenly gods is the Azure Dragon. And hence, the Azure Dragon is known as the leader of the four symbols.
.
Bai Hu, The White Tiger of the West
Tumblr media
The White Tiger is also known as the god of war and killing. It is known to be able to ward evil, suppress calamity, prosperity, punish evil, form good bonds, etc. It is named as White because it represents the West. And in Wu Xing, the element representing the West is gold, and its colour it’s white. Hence, it’s known as the White Tiger not because of its colour, but from its origin in Wu Xing.
From the Pre Qin dynasty, the White Tiger has been a mythical beast symbolising Shao Hao (a leader/emperor ruling a different region) and the Western Seven Stars. Reaching the Han dynasty, where Wu Xing was starting to be more prevalent, the White Tiger then also represents Autumn as well as the seventh and eighth numerics.
.
Zhu Que, The Vermilion Bird of the South
Tumblr media
The Vermilion Bird is known as the God of the South in ancient mythologies. The Vermilion Bird may sometimes be also known as the Phoenix, or Xuan Niao (which translates to Heavenly Bird and it’s one of the mythical and sacred beasts found in Shan Hai Jing, The Classics of Mountains and Seas).
It is named as Vermilion because it is a type of red, like fire. represents the South. And in Wu Xing, the element representing the South is fire, which is why it was also known as the Phoenix. It also has the properties of rebirth from fire, and can also be known as the Fire Phoenix.
However, according to different sources, it is also mentioned that this Vermilion Bird is not a phoenix. In ancient Chinese texts, phoenix is the leader of all birds, and it’s representing colour is 五彩 (colourful). It is because there are different types of phoenix, but there’s only one Vermilion Bird.
From the Pre Qin dynasty, the Vermilion Bird has been a mythical beast symbolising Yan Di (a leader/emperor ruling a different region, known to be the ruler who came up with the concept of fire) and the Southern Seven Stars. Reaching the Han dynasty, where Wu Xing was starting to be more prevalent, the Vermilion Bird then also represents Summer as well as the third and fourth numerics.
Xuan Wu, The Black Tortoise of the North
Tumblr media
Xuan Wu is a combination of a tortoise and snake. The original meaning for Xuan Wu is Xuan Ming (玄冥). In ancient language, the characters 武 and 冥 are interrelated, 武 means black while 冥 means shadow/dark. Xuan Ming is originally a term used to describe a method of divination using tortoise shell (fyi, this tradition still exists among heavily Chinese influenced places. I do see this method of divination used by people who go to the temples.) The explanation behind this method of divination: The back of the tortoise shell is black, and hence, by using this, one can request the tortoise to enter to the underworld, get the answers to the questions from the ancestors, and bring the answers back to the land of living, and show them in the forms of divination (if the shell is facing up or not). With this, the earliest form of Xuan Wu is the tortoise.
From then, the symbolization of Xuan Ming grew. As tortoises generally reside in water, Xuan Ming was deemed the Water God. With tortoises having long life expectancy, Xuan Ming also became a symbol of longevity or immortality. In ancient texts, the underworld is known to be at North, and the shell had to face north when doing divination. Hence, Xuan Ming once again became the God of North.
From the Pre Qin dynasty, the Black Tortoise has been a mythical beast symbolising Zhuan Xu (a leader/emperor ruling a different region) and the Northern Seven Stars. Reaching the Han dynasty, where Wu Xing was starting to be more prevalent, the Black Tortoise then also represents Winter as well as the ninth and tenth numerics.
.
.
TL;DR: The Azure Dragon represents the element of Wood, the direction East, representing colour is Azure; the White Tiger represents the element of Gold, the direction West, representing colour is White; the Vermilion Bird (also known as Fire Phoenix) represents the element of Fire, the direction South, representing colour is Vermilion; the Black Tortoise represents the element Water, the direction North, representing colour is Black.
.
Now, y’all may wonder what are these elements? Weren’t there five? And yet there’s only four mentioned here. The fifth element, Earth, is in the fifth position, in the centre, representing colour is Yellow. There is a fifth emperor in the middle as well, known as 黃帝 (Huang Di, aka Yellow Emperor). It is because it corresponds to the Yellow Dragon in the middle.
Tumblr media
It is said that the Yellow Dragon is the alternate form of the Yellow Emperor Ages ago, the Four Beasts created a terrible mess when they were fighting for the first place (sounds like the match deciding the Chinese Zodiacs lmAO). They’ve ruined the skies and earth, and the people living were suffering. To save his people, the Yellow Emperor then transformed into the Yellow Dragon, defeated all four of them by himself, and the four obeyed him, willingly guard the four directions.
However, The Yellow Dragon is not part of the Four Symbols. This is because the Four Symbols guard the four directions, yet the Yellow Dragon does not guard. The Yellow Dragon is the one being worshipped, which is why it is in the middle.
.
.
Personal notes:
This is a wild ride where I ended up focusing on the mythological aspect of these sacred guardians. There’s actually a lot of the astrological aspect to go in depth, as each symbol (guardians/beast) has seven stars, and each of the stars represents something else. Cross checking everything is no easy task so I guess this post is gonna end up being on the surface like this.
…… The entire thing is supposed to be me briefly introducing the motifs of my PAC but welp look where we are right now. Hope y’all had fun reading this word dump!

Review: Douluo Continent
Tumblr media
Journey in a world of Soul Masters and Soul Beasts with Tang San and friends as they uncover conspiracies and finally reach their dream of becoming a Soul Master.
STORY
So the drama follows Tang San’s journey into developing his powers, finds the meaning of friendship and uncover the secrets his family hides.
*Note: I tried not to spoil to much and placed a warning for the spoiler part.
This drama is really a story of the underdogs, we have Tang San the son of a blacksmith from a small town village, the mysterious Xiao Wu, not exactly in exile and always underestimated second prince Dai Mu Bai, Secretive Zhu Zhu Qing, Whiny Ning Rong Rong, Insecure and always distracted Ou Si Ke and the naive Ma Hong Jun  and alongside is their despite poor but very supportive teachers and Principal.
Tumblr media
I know that this was adapted from a novel but I have never read it so I don’t know if it follows the storyline completely and what were the changes in the drama. I really like the journey aspect of the drama, from his small town to enrolling in a prep school only to be bullied and become a fugitive on the run to finally finding the right school to nurture his talents, Tang San had one heck of an adventure that's for sure.
Tumblr media
I also like the growth of each character and I definitely love that the drama is not as serious as most costume fantasy drama, this is a more light hearted underdog drama.
Tumblr media
Romance was definitely a slow burner in this drama and I kind of appreciate that it didn’t focus on that and instead on their growth as future Soul Masters. Cause even though romance was slow and I mean snail/sloth whatever really slow, it didn’t feel like that cause the chemistry between Tang San and Wu is really amazing. They have this extremely strong bond with one another that I didn’t mind that their buildup was so long. ‘Cause despite not dating or even confessing their feelings, they act like they have been married for years, I mean they are more of an ideal couple than a lot of couples in Chinese Dramas.
Tumblr media
If you don’t want to read at my rant, you can skip on this part and head to characters.
Who else was disappointed with the ending? I love everything about the drama except for the ending. Like what happened? I’m pretty sure I didn’t skip but how did the storyline go there? Did I miss something? Was a scene cut? Did WeTv cut some scenes ‘cause I’m so confused. Like where was the big fight? Where was Titan? Where was the Venom Grand Soul Master and Master Ning? The defeated students? What happened? How did they get there? Where is the ending for the other students? It should have ended on episode 39 and just say they won and Tang San and Wu finally got their kiss and everyone is where they should be. ‘Cause Episode 40 is like a big a….. Cliff!!! lol. And I need and like NEED the season 2 for this ASAP.
CHARACTERS
Tumblr media
TANG SAN
Tang San is the only son of the Blacksmith Tang Hao in a small village. They live quite remotely in a bamboo forest and mostly rely on each other. Tang San is your definition of a good guy; he is filial, kind, loyal and optimistic. He was born with a full Soul Power which is very rare and his soul form is a Blue Silver Plant and hides that fact that has a twin martial soul; the Hao Tian Hammer that he inherited from his father.
Tumblr media
XIAO WU
Xiao Wu is the cute and energetic bunny and like literally, her soul form is a mystic pink rabbit. She is very confident in her martial arts skills and almost immediately grew attached to Tang San. Xiao Wu is confident and bubbly but at the same time naive and innocent.
Tumblr media
DAI MO BAI
Dai Mu Bai is one of the students in Shu Lin Kai and the second prince of Xing Luo Kingdom who grew up always inferior to his older brother. He is good looking and is always serious and confident, sometimes a little bit too much. He takes up the leadership role in the team. His soul form is a White Tiger.
Tumblr media
ZHU ZHU QING
Zhu Zhu Qing is like the mother of the team. She is calm and collected (most of the time). She came to Shu Lin Kai with a motive involving Dai Mo Bai. She is also from Xing Luo Kingdom. She becomes the “older sister” for the other two girls on the team. Her soul form is a Hell Civet (looks like a black panther)
Tumblr media
OU SI KE
Ou Si Ke is the adopted son of the principal of Shu Lin Kai. He often writes plays and makes his own costumes, his dream was to become a playwright despite his adoptive father’s wishes; to be a Soul Master. He is from the Support Branch Martial Soul, meaning his power is mainly to assist others.
Tumblr media
NING RONG RONG
Ning Rong Rong is the only daughter of Ning FengZhi, the clan leader of the Qibao Amber Clan. She first started off as this spoiled little princess who whines at everything but she eventually fits in the group despite her constant complaints, I think that is one of her charm, she is like the little sister of the group who always bickers with Ou Si Ke. Her Soul form is the Qibao Pagoda.
Tumblr media
MA HONG JUN
Ma Hong Jun is probably the youngest of the team and is most often treated as such. He grew up with his father but because of other people’s greed and ambition, he was practically forced into something he had no idea about. With nowhere else to go, Hong Jun greatly relies on the school and is taken as the disciple of the principal. His soul form is a phoenix
CAST
This is my first drama with Xiao Zhan and its a really good introduction to him. I also really love Betty Wu and the rest of the cast. As for Gao Tai Yu who plays as Dai Mu Bai, I knew that I have seen that face I just can’t place where and when I checked it turns out he was the former leader on Gank Your Heart with Wang Yibo and then the first emperor on Emperors and Me, no wonder he was so familiar.

FINAL THOUGHTS RATING: 8.2/10
This is a really good drama and is definitely worth the watch. It's a light hearted inspirational story of an underdog who overcomes his limits and flourishes despite the challenges. The acting was superb and graphics were good as well. It's really good for those who have not yet watched any costume or historical drama ‘cause it eases you into a completely different culture and environment than modern Cdrama. If you are curious why its only 8.2, then you have to watch it and tell me what you think of the ending lol.

ABOUT THE DRAMA
Synopsis:
Having lost his mother at a very young age, Tang San grew up relying on his father just as much as his father relied upon him. Meticulous and mature for his age, with extraordinary talent and wit, he was sent to Nuoding Academy, at the age of sixteen, to begin pursuing his dream of becoming a great soul master. There, under the tutelage of Yu Xiao Gang, he befriends an orphan by the name of Gu Xiao Wu, and together they begin the long and difficult journey of cultivation.  As time passes, the two friends draw ever closer, eventually swearing to look out for each other as siblings for life.
As their power and connection grow, Yu Xiao Gang realizes they need more guidance than he can provide. Sending the pair to the Shrek Academy, Tang San and Xiao Wu join five other prodigies from various academies, in their journey of cultivation. Strong in their power, the seven students become known throughout the land as the “Shrek Seven Devils”. With their fame ever-growing, the talents of the Seven are eventually noticed by a few very prominent nobles who invite them to continue their cultivation at the esteemed Tian Dou Royal Academy.
Not long after accepting the invitation, the Seven Devils find themselves caught up in an imperial struggle for power, between the first and fourth princes. At the same time, Tang San uncovers a long-hidden secret about his mother’s death. Suddenly facing battles on many fronts, Tang San finds himself forced to fight, not only to protect those he loves, but to bring honor to his sect, save his country, and complete his quest to become the greatest soul master of all time.
