So that was the skeleton's name! Curly! I knew he was on a lot of the Goosebumps merchandise (tied to the book series) in the 90s (When I was about twelve) but I don't remember him ever appearing in any of the books so I didn't know his name.

I even had a life-sized book-store cut-out of him in my room for many years until wear and tear just made him fall apart.

I finally learned his name. Curly. I just knew him as the Goosebumps skeleton, the mascot for the book series. The Wikia says he's the former mascot but if you collect the new figures each one comes with a piece of Curly so you can build him. I guess he's the mascot again even if his look is very much an early 90s look.

I think for a while they were trying to use Slappy (the evil ventriloquist dummy) as the mascot (since the 2015 Goosebumps movie) since Slappy is in the movies and at least three of the books and Curly was never actually in any of the novels. But nostalgia wins. Curly seems to be back.

For the new revival of Goosebumps R. L. Stine should write a Curly vs. Slappy novel. :-P Have Curly as the protagonist since Slappy is irredeemably evil.
