Remember when I said a while back that my next drawing of them was taking a while? Well, it's done now! This is the second silent film screenshot redraw I did, and while I like this better than the first one, I still am not a fan. It's Rath's hand, I only realized until too late that it's too small. But, well, at least I think I did a good job making the picture feel soft. I promised I'd provide more food for them but I think I'm cursed because every drawing I make of them except the Halloween picture turns out really blargh in my eyes. Will that deter me from continuing? Oh heck naw. The RathLyn community is starving and even two and half star food is still food. That said, hope it's to your liking! I'm hoping to make more of these in the future but as said in the previous post I need to do something about my tablet cord. Part 1 | [Part 2]

parting ways with rath

pairing: rath x gn!reader

summary: after reaching caelin, lyn's group heads their seperate ways and you say goodbye to rath

tags: set right after lyn mode, romantic/platonic relationship

after lyndis had finally reached caelin there was no reason for the little group she had assembled on her way to keep existing. some of them, like kent or sain, remained with lyndis and her grandfather, while others like rath or dorcas returned to their normal lives.  

you had decided to stay by lyn's side as well, but that meant you'd have to part ways with some of your former travel companions. like rath… 

you had grown quite fond of the young man during your travels. he had a tendency to keep his distance from others and rarely talk to anyone, but you had managed to get a few words out of him over time. though you knew the next words you'd say to him would likely be the last you two would ever exchange…

"i know we didn't know each other for long, but i'm glad i got to meet you, rath" you smiled at the sacean. "i'd hate to think this is the last time we speak… but perhaps we can one day meet again, on the plains!" 

rath remained quiet as you spoke, his eyes glued to you. you weren't sure he even wanted to reply to your farewell words, until he slowly started to speak. 

"perhaps the footprints we leave behind will one day be side by side again"

it was such an odd goodbye, but you couldn't help but smile. you hadn't expected rath to reciprocate your feelings, but you were happy that he did, even if he remained so vague. at least that meant you had hope to cling to…

Ridley: I don’t know. With your hand on mine, it makes the horse more,, bearable? I still don’t like them, but with you,,,

Rath: Yes?

Ridley: With you, it’s fine, I guess. I can stand them,, some,, it’s silly, isn’t it?

Rath: No, no, it’s not,,, I could help you more after the battle 

Ridley: If I didn’t know you better, I would think this is your way of asking me out.

Rath: What?

Ridley: I’ll go with you! E,, even with the horse.Rath: Heh, you’re amusing.

Ending

Rath would ask Ridley to return to Sacea with him, which the Tactician was happy to do. Rath’s father, the famed Silver Wolf, welcomes Ridley into their tribe and allows the two to wed. They had two daughters and lived happily in the plains.

it was another long day at university, your pre reading has built up and the friday evening you have longed for had become damaged with the stress of your weekend reading.

there was only one thing you waited for, the blond volleyball player who was due to enter the front door. atsumu miya knew practice would run over and it was probably the worst day for it to occur. he had seen your earlier text in his short break but had been unable to call to comfort you, instead sending a short text back.

as he walked through the door he heard soft music come from the bathroom, knowing you were between the white ceramics of the bathtub bare for him. he quickly dropped his stuff as he slowly began taking his clothes off. he saw the texts from the team saying to meet at the bar by 11pm but knowing how your day had been he’d rather spend the evening with you.

he slipped into the bathroom, the candles flickered through the darkness as a gold hue set around your lustrous body. your eyes closed as you hummed to the song silently, hearing slow footages behind you as you could recognise the breathing of atsumu a mile away. he slowly crept towards you to not disturb your peace,

your back became straight as the water splashed to the side allowing atsumu to sit behind you, his thighs hitting the side of the tub as you sat comfortably near his crotch. his arms instantly grabbed at your plush skin as you leant back on his chest.

“missed ya baby.’ he whispered in your eye as he kissed alongside your soapy neck. you shifted to look up at atsumu as he saw tears form from your eyes, “ah know ma love.”

his words were soft as he wiped the tears, kissing at your cheeks to allow you some comfort, “i-i’m sorry ‘tsumu, i know we were supposed to go out with the team tonight, i-i just fe-feel like crap., you-you should go witho-”

he stopped you quickly, “ah would rathe’ be with ma girl, then let ya cry ‘lone.”

he held you in his arms, kissing your forehead as you laid comforted. he knew university had gotten to you especially since you had put off some reading for coursework you had due and now with exams approaching you were at your desk 24/7.

the team had only asked to go out because it had been a while but even with the text bokuto had sent reminding atsumu, they all knew neither of you would appear due to how quick atsumu had left from practice. “come on, doll, lemme get ya sum clean clothe’ and we can watch ‘omething ya want.”

you wiped the water from your face as you looked at him worried, “‘tsumu i need to start on this readin…” your lip wobbled as atsumu looked at you softly.

“‘omorrow, kay, ‘ll even help ya organise it all.” he gave you those eyes that made you go on a date with him to begin with. you nod, smiling at his stupid face, “that’s ma girl”

you had fully turned your body, as the water splashed against the sides, he held your face in his hands as he leant to kiss your lips. they were as soft as ever, your skin felt heavenly to touch as one of his hands moved to your waist. you grabbed at his hair as you tasted the soap on his lips but remained fuelled by the intensity of this kiss. “a love ya,” he muttered.

“i love you more, ‘tsumu.”

Night skies are fun to draw. ^w^ Hands are not. I think I spent two hours trying to get the hands right alone and then they still looked kinda weird and got covered by grass anyway. :(

i am embarrassed by how hot i find rath

because like i knew i was susceptible to guys with earring(s)

but like i didn't think it was THAT easy

like if you took off claude's earring i'd still find him hot because of everything else about him but honestly i think rath's earring (does he have one or two?) is carrying a lot of the weight for me and it's making me question myself--

Chapter 13: Light (Section 8)

After returning home safely to Lycia, Eliwood inherited the title of Marquess Pherae. His life shifted immediately from war to politics. His work often left him exhausted, but Ninian was always by his side to support him.

They have a son named Roy, who will one day fight in a war that will once again shake the continent of Elibe. 

Hector became Marquess Ostia after Uther's sudden death. Though his grief over the loss of his brother and the pressure he was under as marquess of Lycia's main house weighed heavily on him, with his beloved Florina cheering him on, he grew to become an even greater marquess than his brother. 

Lyn tended to her grandfather's bedside until his death, then abdicated rule of Caelin to Ostia, and left on a journey to Sacae. There, she reunited with and married Rath, son of the Kutolah Tribe's chieftain. They are raising their daughter in comfort with the blessings of nature.

Marcus and Merlinus became fast friends, and continued to serve Eliwood. Marcus became the combat instructor for Pherae’s noble family, while Merlinus managed their finances. Both became widely-known as loyal retainers of House Pherae.

Isadora returned to her post as Eleanora’s guard. Lowen completed the ceremony to become a full-fledged knight. Rebecca also became a formal retainer of Pherae, and later, at the request of the marquess and his wife, became their son's wet nurse.

Oswin became Hector's strategist, and Matthew continued to serve Ostia alongside him as a spy. Serra was busy for a time broadening her personal endeavors, but lately, she once again seems to have more free time than she knows what to do with.

After Caelin's territory was placed under Ostia’s rule, Kent served as its steward. His partner Sain resigned and traveled the continent as a free knight. Wherever each of them went, the two remained close friends. Wil returned to his post as a knight, and continued to demonstrate the full extent of his archery skills.

Noblewoman Priscilla and mercenary Guy fell in love, but he attempted to give up pursuing her due to the gap in their social standing. However, her tears made him resolve to elope instead. Her smile when she took his hand was the most brilliant of all her smiles across her entire life.

When Raven confessed everything to Hector, the marquess offered to have his territory reinstated. However, Raven rejected the proposal, and returned with Lucius to his carefree life as a mercenary. Lucius felt overwhelming happiness at the expression on his lord’s face when Raven became free of the weight upon his heart.

Nino and Jaffar were wed after the war. They were blessed with twin boys and lived happily, but when they were found by bounty hunters pursuing the remaining members of the Black Fang, their whereabouts became unknown.

After Athos' passing, Pent stepped down as mage general, and continued the research the archsage left unfinished. Doing so caused an uproar, but he did so completely carefree, in the names of his wife and future children.

Erk was next in line to become mage general after Pent retired, but he declined. He gave his life to magic research alongside his teacher.

Dorcas used his pay to buy the medicine his wife needed, and returned home to her. Bartre set out on a journey wandering the continent to become a true warrior. According to rumor, he fell in love with and married his own arch-enemy.

After the battle, Legault traveled around each country in search of the lost remaining members of the Black Fang, and pointed them towards new paths in life. Everything he did, was all in the name of the friends he had lost…

And so, the fight against Nergal ended without it ever having to cross the center stage of the continent of Elibe.

At Bramimond’s order, Hector and Eliwood sealed away both Durandal and Armads. Bramimond also once again sealed away all of the other remaining Legendary Weapons across the continent.

They wished that none would ever have to use their power again, too great for human hands…

But they did not remember at the time of Athos' foretelling during the final battle of a bad omen…
