Ray considered a moment and then leaned beside Winn. "I'm here. If you wanted to talk to someone. You could set your troubles down with me. If you wanted." He wasn't that kind of doctor but he had been told he was a good friend.

"Hiding behind a computer screen is a lot easier than facing the battle in my mind." Winn shrugged, not really sure what he was wanting from Ray. He didn't really want pity, but it was nice to at least kind of get it out in the air. "I've been battling since I was a kid, sometimes it just never stops."

The wind felt sharper than it should for this time of year. Sahana rubbed her arms and cringed as another gust hit. She looked up at the sky, annoyed that it had tricked her into wearing such a light outfit. "What happened to spring? It's cold out here." She tugged her jacket tighter, regretting her choice of a thin blouse this morning. This whole coffee meet-up was turning into a mistake—at least the outdoor part of it. The weather app on her phone had completely missed the mark. Again. No surprise there. Maybe that new boutique would be warmer. They could browse a bit until their reservation time. She wasn't about to spend another minute freezing when there were perfectly good indoor options nearby. Her watch showed they still had twenty minutes to kill before they needed to be there anyway.

"Take Me Out To The Ball Game" for BOTH Brennan Lee Mulligan and Marisha's characters hits different when you remember one of the last lyrics of the song is "I don't care if I never come back".

Bonus points for the last part of "Cuz it's--ONE--TWO--THREE STRIKES YOU'RE OUT--" matching up BEAUTIFULLY/TERRIBLY/WONDERFULLY with the whole game mechanic of marks and scars.
