I was kinda in the mood to doodle again and this time, i decided to doodle Nomi versions of my ninja ocs!
Ft. Nobu/NN, Serenity, Seth and Esther!
Look at these Nomi suckers
Oh. I even got a bit of info of each one-
……
Nomi Nobu/NN
——-
- a hopeless cause… literally.
-unlike the og Nobu who at least still have some hope, this Nobu right here has NONE. Like, all their ‘hope juice’ has COMPLETELY ran out.
- not only do they have no hope for themselves, they also don’t have hope for ANYTHING else.
- you know those types of people that, no matter how happy you feel in a certain good situation, they will always find a way to bring the bright mood down and make you feel like garbage for even thinking and having any hope for such a good day? That’s NomiNobu.
- “hm? What? I have people to save? As the ninja?….tch, why should I? Why me? I’ll just end up making things worse for those people than any good. What’s the point of me being a hero if I will always just be a screw up? It’s hopeless!….none of you should ever had any high hopes for me as the ‘chosen one’ to begin with!”
- Just like NomiRandy, Nomi Nobu wears their hood up, with their gaze even more…dark and gloomy.
…..
Nomi Serenity
——-
- a fucking gremlin. /srs
- no seriously, I mean it. She’s a wild one. Almost like a wild animal. A caveman even.
- now the og Serenity, while she can be quite energetic, still knows when to calm down. This Serenity on the other hand, NEVER STOPS. It’s like she’s in a constant sugar rush but she will never tire out no matter how long she stays this way.
- As mentioned in her ref, Og Serenity is obsessed with collecting shiny things. There’s one thing I didn’t mention at that part, that is that it can cause her to be kinda greedy… there’s times she might even take one type of shiny thing that actually belongs to someone else but doesn’t realise it until later on. Once she does, she quickly gets ashamed and apologies….
- but Nomi Serenity? She’s the complete opposite. Instead of just being kind and giving it back, she would just immediately run off with it. Oh it was yours? Too bad! Shouldn’t have lost it in the first place! Finders keepers! She wants it, she got it, she wants it, she got it-
- This gal’s words are almost literal gibberish. Whenever she lets out any single word, you would barely be able to understand her. Remember when I said she’s a fucking gremlin?… yeah, I was serious about that. Shouldn’t have ignored that /srs tone tag buddy. /j
- “Geeeeeee!!! Hehehehehe!!! Hahahahaha!!! ooo!! Shiiiiannnyyy!!! Gimma!! Gimma!!!”
- Nomi Serenity doesn’t have the beanie on like the og does, her hair is also extra messy too along with her expressions always looking so damn wild, her pupils almost wide and everything.
……
Nomi Seth
———
- while og Seth still has at least some empathy, this one does not.
- just like the original, he’s a troublemaker but takes things WAY too far with his pranks. Cruel pranks that can either cause injuries psychically or emotionally. Oh? You’re crying? It’s because of the prank? It wasn’t funny? I guess you just don’t have a sense of humor!
- he’s also even more socially distant. To an unhealthy amount. Barely gets near any single person. Gets stubborn if forced to.
- basically, this guy is just an mega asshole, also an actual stubborn lone ‘wolf’ but even worse. At least og Seth still genuinely cares for his close ones!
- “hehehe…funny…. Look at you, sobbing so much already!.. what a sensitive crybaby you are!”
- doesn’t look so different from the og Seth except for the mean look. (Plus I still haven’t done a normal civilian look for him yet, FU-)
….
Nomi Esther (both ‘corrupted’ and normal) (hell yeah I’m doing both his current crazy self and his old normal self for this)
———-
- let’s start with the current crazy Esther first….hoooh boy. You thought og crazy Esther was bad? Just wait till you see the Nomi version right now!
- og Esther, even now with being like the way he is due to those crystals/diamonds stuck in his back, he still has the heart of a hero. The only good part of him left that still truly wanted to help and save people like he was always supposed to but unfortunately would end up causing too much damage with his actions…..
- but Nomi Esther? Oh no. Oh hell no. This guy no longer has the ‘heart of a hero’. All that only goodness left of the og Esther? GONE. This guy is just a literal killing machine. This guy is INSANE. OUT OF HIS DAMN MIND.
- he will even try to his powers way extra more then the og, like a unhealthy addiction.
- If you ever encounter him. RUN. JUST RUN AND DONT LOOK BACK-
- “HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!!! FEEL MY POOOOWEEER!!! FEEEAAR ME!!!!! DIEEEEE!!!”
- Nomi Esther crazy version, instead of just having the ninja mask fully up like the og, wears it like on the side of his face in such a weird way. Like, boy, what in the world are you doing??? Oh and his ninja suit is getting even more effected by the crystals due to how much more power he uses then the og…even his skin…
- ———
- now for the normal version Nomi Esther. The complete opposite.
- og past normal Esther is a very shy introvert… this guy is that but cranked up to MAX LEVEL. Oh? Shy introvert is evolving…. *cue Pokémon evolution music*….. congratulations! Your shy introvert evolved into anxious mess!
- this poor guy can’t even look anyone in the eye. If he does ever make a single, even just a little tiny bit eye contact, he will immediately freak out and cover his entire face, maybe even curl up into a ball on the floor/ground.
- is constantly shivering 24/7, no matter if it’s not cold out at all.
- “G-gah!!! Eek!! D-don’t look at me!! I-I’m not doing a-anything!! I’m sorry!! IM SORRY!!!”
- Nomi Esther normal version has his hair down kinda similar to the crazy one but slightly messy.
——-
And that’s pretty much it lol-

Last post of art for now ^w^
This is a redesign I made recently of my RC9GN oc Clarissa Knowles. I decided to give her a more goth look than she had before since I felt like she really wasn't hitting the gothic mark I was going for. Her clothes do have a hint of purple in them because I chose colors that were more on the purple side to pay homage to her original design. I even gave her makeup this time since I really wanted to before, but never did. I pretty much kept everything but her outfit the same with the addition of makeup and accessories.
This is actually my most recent piece (literally finished it yesterday/at 12am this morning), which is of the Secret Trio. I added my ocs for the different fandoms (Clarissa, Beth and Kamala) because I wanted to kinda show the friendship dynamics between my ocs and the protagonists. I will say Kamala is going under a redesign because I forgot what her og design was so this is now her current design. She is monkey demon that is inspired by the Monkey King (like she herself is a fan of the Monkey King and has kinda based her personality around the idea of being a mischievous monkey that does whatever the fuck she wants, despite being a teenager). Kamala is usually using magic to hide her true form to be able to exist in society, but at home or when she really just doesn't feel like using magic she will be in her monkey form (which isn't much different from her disguised form). Also the reason why Randy is in the ninja suit is to show off that Clarissa knows he is the ninja and helps out with the stanked monsters (mostly by keeping others safe with her own magical powers).
Lastly, we have Yumichika Norisu (who is named after and based on one of my favorite characters from Bleach). Yumi is an oc I made to be related to another RC9GN oc, named Sayuki, who acts as the surrogate love child of Sayuki and Gorou (basically @quirinah oc version of one of the norisu nine that has become one of my favorites because Q just makes the best characters I swear). Sayuki's cousin ends up taking on the Norisu name because of how much the Norisu Nine for their village and because only one of the nine survived (basically trying to keep the norisu family alive without actually being apart of the og family). Yumi actually doesn't feel he deserves his last name because he was raised learning about the true history of the Ninja and the Norisu Nine. He's still a wip oc since I'm still figuring him out, but basically he's the love child of Sayuki and Gorou (who I assume never have the chance to actually start their own family considering how things go for the Norisu Nine and the ages Q came up for the nine).
So yeah. Feel free to send in any asks for any of my ocs. Likes are nice, but reblogs are more appreciated. As always have good day and stay creative!

Grieving a Version of Yourself: How to Cope With Big Life Changes

When we hear the word "grief," we usually think of losing a loved one. But grief isn't limited to death. It also shows up when we lose parts of ourselves. A job, a role, an identity, a dream are all things that may spark the process of grief.

Whether you’ve gone through a career change, a breakup, a major health diagnosis, becoming a parent, or even personal growth that made you outgrow your old life, you might find yourself mourning the person you used to be. That’s okay.
Let’s talk about what this kind of grief looks like—and how to honor and heal through it.
What It Means to Grieve a Version of Yourself
Change is a part of life, and over time, our roles and identify changes. Sometimes the changes help us grow, and other times those changes cause loss. Self-grief happens when your identity, routine, or worldview shifts so dramatically that you feel overwhelmed and lost. You may no longer are stable in your identity, or you may need to take inventory of your life.
Common life events that can trigger this include:
Ending a long-term relationship or friendship
Becoming a parent or caregiver
Moving to a new country or culture
Losing a job or retiring
Being diagnosed with a chronic illness
Experiencing trauma or a major life transition
Healing from codependency, people-pleasing, or burnout
Even good changes, like growth or success, can bring grief. When you become someone new, you often leave something behind, like a snake shedding their skin.
Signs You Might Be Experiencing This Kind of Grief
Grieving a past self isn’t always obvious. It can show up in subtle ways, such as:
Nostalgia for "the way things used to be"
Feeling disconnected from your current life
A loss of motivation or purpose
Regret about paths not taken
Questioning your identity or worth
Feeling like a stranger to yourself
This kind of grief can be confusing, especially if others don’t recognize it as “real” loss. But just because it’s invisible doesn’t mean it isn’t valid. Sometimes, it’s hard for the person to recognize that process. They may feel depressed or anxious, without fully understanding what is happening. It can be scary and confusing, but it can also be a part of growth.
How to Cope and Begin Healing
Grieving the past is not about rejecting who you are becoming. It’s about understanding the change, so you can fully embrace who you’re becoming. Here are some ways to support yourself through the process:
1. Acknowledge the Loss/Change
The first step is simply naming what you’re feeling. Say it out loud or write it down. Identify the changes, whether it’s job, family, marriage, loss, or other changes that happen. Understand the emotion that your are struggling to manage, like anxiety or depression. Give yourself permission to grieve without judgment. This can be a powerful act of self-compassion.
2. Reflect on What You’ve Gained/Lost
While it’s okay to mourn what’s gone, don’t forget to recognize positive changes. Have you become stronger or more resilient? More aware? More aligned with your values? Growth often involves fear of the unknown. It can also bring wisdom, strength, and new opportunities. Try journaling about how you’ve changed, and what those changes mean to you now, and even in the future.
3. Stay Connected to Who You Are
Even as your roles and routines change, there are likely parts of you that remain constant. Don’t lose your sense of humor, your creativity, your empathy, or your values.
Ask: Who am I at my core, beneath the labels?
4. Seek Support if You Need It
You don’t have to navigate what you are going through alone. Therapy, support groups, or honest conversations with friends and family can help you process and make meaning of what you're going through. So many times, people report to me that their family doesn’t know what they are going through. Whether in therapy or with your support, please find a way to be honest and let others help you. Most people really do want to help.
Final Thoughts
Life is full of transitions. With each one, we leave something behind as we move forward. Grieving a version of yourself is not weakness. It’s a sign of growth, depth, and change. You are allowed to miss who you were and still love who you are becoming. It’s all part of being happy, for life.
