The way I was looking forward to the ari and dante movie for 6 years and it disappointed me so much. They changed so much that took away from the film. The ending segment felt so wrong and didn’t make sense even though it followed the book mostly accurately (how dare they change the iconic last line of the book). Certain relationships and themes didn’t get explored at ALL making the movie feel off. I’m happy my boys got to be on the big screen but it could’ve been soooo much better.

I will say Reese Gonzalez was an amazing Dante, he fit the role so well. And the scenes that were directly pulled from the book were so perfectly executed.
