I feel like Tumblr and Twitter took completely different paths on nsfw het ended up on almost the same result. Twitter became a soap box for a man who never ran a social media website before making changes on a whim learning by mistake until he got a good result. Tumblr was a small room of staff and bloggers trying to rein in a monster full of teenage hormones and degenerates who immigrated from corners like Newgrounds and Deviantart and the dark corners of Something Awful and 4Chan.
Both websites still ended up with porn bots and political echo chambers with the biggest profiles on the website stealing original content and reposting it to a larger audience. The difference between the two is Twitter has nsfw artists with real followings, while on Tumblr you’re more likely to run in with a porn bot than a real nsfw post.
The point being is if your website is built to be nsfw and you try to ban it, you don’t get rid of nsfw, you just get rid of the humans who post nsfw. Staff has tried to make amends with the “mature” content label and allowing the posting of the f e m a l e p r e s e n t i n g n i p p l e s again, but staff are still too cowardly for a full on sex update.
The one thing Tumblr has left is brand recognition and a broader appeal. The name is iconic in bad and good ways, allowing a good influx of new users and consistent communities to explore and tag. Pillowfort and many other Tumblr imitators can try to take and coddle the nsfw users immigrating to new lands, but that ends up being the sole customer base for the websites. It’s hard to sell your website to people when it’s just “other social media website but that thing it used to have” and only people who go there are for the thing old website used to have.
Even then, Tumblr's brand is getting overshadowed by places like Twitter because the people that had house controversial people like the political activists, are more active on Twitter than they were when it was on Tumblr. It may not matter if Tumblr does somehow have a more friendlier community, people would rather go to the site current popular because that gets the most attention. I also think how certain countries handle websites different is another. Like Twitter in Japan was really popular back then. If it's not news updates from companies there, JP users would go there to make it like Instagram or show off artworks. But then Western users started to see there posts and are surprised to find works such as porn and loli there and the Twitter JP side of things don't act as harshly on it. Now every website has to comply with all the countries as a whole if they don't want it to get banned and make money off advertisements. People can't even post on places like Pixiv either if it means their content gets removed after marking it as NSFW or it is limited in viewing in certain places. JP users are struggling to find another platform that would allow their art and not have Westerners hounding their asses for having a different view on things.

Six pack holder unfolder
Tumblr media
If you want to identify an item, try posting it in our Show & Tell gallery. Please let me know if you have some idea. Plus I have a Jax beer clock that lights up and still operats. I was just wondering if you knew about how old it is. I have a old Jax beer cardboard bottle case that the top opens from the middle and is hinged so you can keep using it. With empty beer bottles Schlitz beer bottles in it so meaning 24 12 ounce bottles. I have an old Schlitz box with a Cobb County beer tax sticker on it signed by commissioner Herbert C McCullum beer tax $0.60 from Kennesaw Mount Cobb County Georgia. An Iron City and a Stegmairs’s Gold Medal Beer. bottles of Schlitz.įound two Cone Top cardboard case boxes at the flea market this week. Really wondering if you have any information on a 10 oz. These are dated 1968, and the bottles have the glass mark of being made by Schlitz. Have searched for any info on these, and can find nothing on 10 oz. I have both the case, the 6 pack cartons, and new un-used, never labeled, 10 oz. September 3rd, 2014 at 8:50 am Sarah Krysiak Says:.You can mix and match your drinks for a variety, or put a 6 pack in of the same drink. Would like to know when they stopped useing them, it was made by T.J. PERFECTLY SIZED: This bag can hold up to 6 bottles of 12oz each. I need so info on a wooden beer keg I have. February 9th, 2011 at 5:38 pm Buzz Cayton Says:.But to find a thin cardboard cases like these, which were usually ripped open and thrown away-that made my day. If you ever see the words “CAP SEALED CANS” printed on a carton, you know it held cone-top cans, which were filled and sealed on a bottling line.Ĭans are made of sturdy metal and can survive decades on a wall or in a dump. Seeing both in mint condition makes me feel as though I’m in a grocery store in the early 1950s, where a similar display may have been set up. I now display these boxes next to the sort of cans they once held inside. He was equally surprised when I peeled off a few twenties AND bought him lunch for his troubles. I told him, “Recycling pays.” The next Monday, he brought them into my office, and I was floored by the condition they were in. I assured him that they’d have a “loving home” in my beer room at my house, and he smiled. Among the items were regional beer cartons, unused and unfolded. Now, we return to my co-worker: Upon seeing the old cans on my office shelf, he mentioned that his dad had found a stack of unused cardboard in the attic of their garage. Many times these boxes are well preserved, with only a bit of yellowed tape to remove. Clearly, someone’s mother was resourceful in re-using a cardboard box to store non-beer items in over the years. I have a few that have the words “ Xmas ornaments” written on the bottom or top. Most boxes of this type survived by accident. As it turns out, having a few breweriana items on display in my office at work paid off-in the form of these six-pack boxes. Since no one has ever knocked on my door offering me old beer stuff, I make no secret of my collecting passion. Today’s guest blogger is breweriana collector Barry Travis, who runs the web site : Preserving the Beers of Yesteryear.

This free Pinterest plugin places a Pinterest logo pin at the base of your WordPress site. It allows your site visitors to pin any image you have posted. And all the images your readers share on their Pin Boards will automatically link to your website.
The size and appearance of the "Pin it" button can be changed. The plugin also allows you to change the default text that readers can quickly share when they pin their images.
 13. Pinterest Pro For WordPress
This is one of the few premium Pinterest plugins that we have come across. For $ 5, the plugin developers promise "full Pinterest integration" through their website. The plugin allows you to post an unlimited number of widgets on WordPress sidebars. This means that you can post multiple separate bulletin boards on your WordPress site. Buy Quality Backlinks
Meta depictions can be created for singular presents in Blogger on great impact. Make depictions novel for each post and guarantee they buy backlinks contain your objective catchphrases and watchword expressions to urge web crawlers to remove scraps from them. Buy Quality Backlinks Make sure you know your focused on watchwords and use them inside your post content. Buy Backlinks for SEO One of the variables in deciding rankings is the importance of the focused on watchwords in relationship to Buy Cheap Backlinks the content that shows up in the post content. Change the Order of Post Title and Blog Title for Better SEO One key change you can make to Blogger that will particularly improve the SEO of your blog is to modify the title labels. Of course Blogger title labels are not advanced for web crawlers. The name of the blog shows up before the name of the article which isn't internet searcher amicable. Since web search tools read left to right and offer inclination to what shows up first having your blog name show before your post title is huge. To improve SEO it pays to modify the request for title labels so the your post title shows up first:Hand close by with a title tag is the perpetual permalink that is made when a post is distributed. On the off chance that the title of the post is more than around 35 characters in length you will hit issues with Blogger since it will abbreviate the title to a 35-40 character permalink. Some terrible outcomes happen due to this factor.

If you don't like Misha, this post might make you smirk.
I did this post yesterday and then deleted it because the OP made me feel sorry for her.  Luckily for me, someone reblogged it and my momentary stupidity is now remedied.  This whole scenario makes me smirk.
Yesterday's post:
Doll face found @dean-supernatural-akf ranting in the main tags, including the Jensen tag, which is why she forwarded this biased drivel to me.  Thanks sweetie.  I scrolled though OPs blog, trying to figure this person out, because she ships wincest and destiel, apparently.  And she hates the haters.  It is convenient and dismissive to label those who don’t agree with you, don’t you think?  Label them rather than proving them wrong conclusively, because that would be difficult and you might lose the argument because of a lack of intelligence.  So call them names and be done with it.  Her rant is in italics, and my rebuttal in bold.
Rude and Missunderstood.
I CAN LIKE MISHA COLLINS AS AN HUMAN AND ACTOR WITHOUT BEING ONE OF HIS MINIONS.
Shocking right?
Here have a seat and lean back.
Very recently i got heavily missunderstood, and i’m making this post so it won’t happen again.
I asked someone if their blog is real . Because it was so full of hate against this actor named Misha Collins.
This guy right here, and I bet when you are one of the anti misha people then you even share the same look on your face right now, congrats.
Listen… I love JENSEN and i love JARED. And yes i love MISHA too.
But i don’t follow him around like a dog, i don’t kiss the ground where hes walking on.
AND i also don’t do this with J2.
Why is it that when there is an entire blog dedicated to hate for Jensen or Jared, there is no bleeding heart rant like this about that blogger?  But if you write a blog about all the mean things Misha and his fans do, you are a “horrible human being” with “toxicity and hate in your heart”.  No, I would prefer to call it discernment.  I wont like someone just because “it SPNFamily darn it, haters don’t belong”.  So if Misha gives me consistent reasons to hate him, I am still not allowed to hate him because I will be ejected from SPNFamily?  What is this?  A communist fanbase?  Nobody is allowed to have their own opinions?  Everybody must think the same way and feel the same fairytale happy feelings?  Which dandelion world did you pop up from?
I fight for all of them, i fight against the hate that all of those three get and Misha gets more hate then J2 and thats a fact.
Misha gets more hate?  Really?  You mean like death threats?  Like people tweeting him directly that they wish he was dead?  That kind of hate?  Please, show me where the hate is.  Bring me your receipts.  I want to see all the hate that Misha gets.
And it’s so fucking unfair, i have seen blogs and people that wish that he would die, a man with two children and wife.
This is so sick and it’s so not okay.
Prove it.  Screenshot and show me where all these horrible people are.  I will put it in a post.  I always do.  The death threats and death wishes for J2 have been screenshotted and are on my blog.  So I have proof for my claims.  Bring the proof for your claims.  Its called making mature statements.  Quantifying your claims.  So please, set me straight.  Show me all the nastiness poor Misha gets.  I would like to see it.
About the Misha minions, MISHA ISNT THE ONLY ONE WITH MINIONS.
Shocking again, right ?
From under which rock did you emerge?  Misha named his fans minions.  Very disrespectful.  No other actor has ’‘minions’’.  Benedict Cumberbatch didn’t like his fans referring to themselves as Cumberb*tches.  I respect him for that.  Misha did the opposite.   Shocking, right?
The people who only love J2 hate on Misha. And the people who love all of them hate back against the anti Misha people.
That is an incredibly simplistic way of putting it.  And it gives me the impression that this rant was written by someone who is young and idealistic in their notion of how the world works.  How come you don’t talk about the people who like Jensen and Misha and therefore hate Jared?  You cant.  You cant because that would be problematic to the narrative you are vomiting right now.  Those cockles perverts are the ones that tweet him, telling him that that they cant wait for him to die.  Receipts on my blog.
The way you support J2 is the same way that Misha’s people support him.
Actually no, J2 fans don’t get angry when Misha is interviewed for Elle magazine, yelling “where’s J2”.  They don’t ask “Whose line is it,anyway?” why they excluded J2.  They don’t threaten to burn Misha alive in his house for being anti-destiel and/or making a joke about Jensen.  That happened with Jensen.  I have the receipts.  The same group were discussing kidnapping Jared’s kids.  That group was made up of 3500 people.  So many haters slipped up your radar?  Well, now you know.
Minions and bitchy people are EVERYWHERE.
It is such a useless fight, don’t like someone?
THEN SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT IT.
Yeah, take a page out of your own book.  If you don’t like the “haters”, as you dismissively call them, then don’t put this incorrect, unsubstantiated, unquantifiable rant in the main tags.  In fact, keep your uninformed opinion to yourself.
What you do when you hate someone so badly and make a whole tumblr Blog about it then you are not better as those highschool bullies.
Dealing with the entire subject of hate, in the most abstract manner, without any analysis into your darling actor’s bad behavior and without taking into account the nasty behavior of his fandom, shows that high school is all you know.  Hopefully, one day you will grow up and think on broader terms.
Cyberbullying is a serious subject, and thats exactly what you do with Hate Blogs and Hate tweets and Hate comments.
Keep using the word “hate”.  It will abrogate all the legitimate anger that the J2 fans have against Misha and his hellerminions.  Hellers are the biggest cyberbullies in fandom.  They sent hate directly to J2.  Some of the things they write will shock a person who has a real disdain to hate, not a daffodil like you who thinks Misha is infallible and doesn’t deserve an anti tag.  One said that she couldn’t wait for Jared to die.  And she tweeted that directly to Jared, along with a praying emoji.  Oh, you don’t know about that?  Well, then I guess you are not an authority on who is SPNFamily and who is not, now are you?
You want to be a bully ? You love spreading hate ?
THEN JUST FUCKING BLOCK ME AND DON’T REPLY TO THIS.
Don’t reply to this?  Then why put it in the main tags, as well as inappropriate tags, and still hope that nobody disagree with you.  Aren’t we childish?
Tumblr media
What happened after the post was put up:
She DM's me and says that she has since changed her mind because she did another post about the hate that J2 get, and if I could please remove my post, because she was suffering panic attacks over it.  I said I would, but she is going to remove the above misleading post and provide me with proof that Misha gets death threats.  Caught between a rock and a hard place, she said that she came across the death threats on two blogs, that had blocked her for some mysterious reason, which is why she couldn't screenshot the evidence.  I found what those reasons were, when I went to those blogs:
@castiel-needs-2-go
@destiew-must-go
I searched through their blogs, and found nothing.  No death threats.  They just point out the truth about Misha.  That is it.  She accused them for nothing.  Of course, that didn't occur to me until today, because I still felt concerned for her because the poor kid was suffering panic attacks.  So I deleted the post.  Today I find this message from her:
''So i asked like 10 different people Misha stans and Misha haters about those things you said he did. Nobody has ever heard of it, no one. You are telling your lies man, i aint stopping ya. But you are a horrible person if you need to attack a 19 year old on the Internet and 'Call me out' just because it gives you a kick. And just because you disagreed. My post will stay deleted because it wasnt up to Date anymore, but it wont be my last one. People like you need to be stopped, people like you are the reason why this fandom sucks so hard. Bye Bye. You are the sick one here .''
The weird thing is she attached this gif:
Tumblr media
I don't know whether she thought it was going to hurt my feelings or something but, it actually helps to show her true identity.  She is not a wincest fan.  She is a Sam-hating heller in disguise.  Who would have thunk it?

To all Sailor Moon fans:
I love you dearly.
That is all.
I'm saying this because I'm about to lose half my followers and fan base. A LOT of you are adults and as such occasionally post NSFW content.
I want you to know I have diligently weeded out all bots and reported spam over the years but kept real people even if you're an NSFW blogger who also happens to like Sailor Moon. I've done my part and my job as a blogger.
As long as you're not a bot (and I can easily tell the difference,) I feel that as a blogger it was my responsibility to work hard to make tumblr a better place by properly reporting and blocking blogs who were not real.
Tons of my own posts were wrongly labeled NSFW and I have submitted every one for review in hopes it helped tumblr's algorithms make better judgements - now to no avail. smcempathy is 100% a SFW blog and viewable by people of all ages.
All walks of life follow this blog, all ages, genders, orientations, religions, cultures and nationalities - from all corners of the globe because that's what Sailor Moon does - Sailor Moon breaks barriers and speaks to everyone on a soul level of understanding. Love wins is what I always say.
This blog will remain and I will continue to blog here but sadly it seems to a smaller fan base as tumblr takes a big hit with this next move.
As you know, Sailor Moon Crystal was aimed at an adult audience of people who grew up with the series. While the show itself is SFW, adult bloggers who are running personal (non-fandom blogs) might not be SFW.
(All episodes of Sailor Moon minus episodes 199 and 200 are rated for kids 14+. 199-200 is rated M for adults. All volumes of the Sailor Moon manga are SFW and available at any public library for all ages.)
I don't know what to say really. A lot of people who were following me were adults and it would be ashame to delete a chunk of the fan base since they are adults and tumblr used to be a platform of free expression and free speech for adults.
It's a great idea to advocate for a better and safer tumblr especially because there are minors on this site. Tumblr has always been a personal hell site for me. No offense to my youngest followers but I'm not even sure it's safe for you all to be on this site. smcempathy is fine but the rest of tumblr is iffy especially with the random bots that follow popular bloggers. You literally have to click on them to remove, block and report them. Maybe this move might make it a better place? Idk.
I feel like I'm rambling and I am. I came to tumblr because I felt I needed to be here. This blog is kind of an antithesis to some trends on tumblr at the time this blog was created. Out of all the chaos in the world sometimes people just need a little clarity, positivity and a chance to get away from it all - equipped with facts, sources and receipts.
Regardless I will continue finding the gems in the fandom and continue blogging here. You're always welcome at smcempathy even if you're logged off, don't forget to check out the archive. As always thanks for following. (This is a weird post. I feel like I'm saying goodbye to a lot of followers right now.)

Pipdig Updates P3 Plugin after Reports Expose Vendor Backdoors, Built-in Kill Switch, and Malicious DDoS Code
Over the weekend, Pipdig, a small commercial theme company, has been at the center of a scandal after multiple reports exposed a litany of unethical code additions to its Pipdig Power Pack (P3) plugin.
On Friday, March 29, Wordfence threat analyst Mikey Veenstra published a report with code examples of the backdoors Pipdig built into their plugin, along with some unsavory and questionable additions to the code.
“We have confirmed that the plugin, Pipdig Power Pack (or P3), contains code which has been obfuscated with misleading variable names, function names, and comments in order to hide these capabilities,” Veenstra said.
These include an unauthenticated password reset to a hard-coded string, which was deliberately obscured with code comments indicating it was added to “check for new social channels to add to navbar.” Veenstra also demonstrated how the plugin contained code for an unauthenticated database deletion, wherein the Pipdig team could remotely destroy any site WordPress site using the P3 plugin.
The code for remote site deletion was removed in version 4.8.0 but it still a concern for users who haven’t updated. Michael Waterfall, iOS Engineer at ASOS, tested the “kill switch” function and demonstrated that it still works with prior versions.
It also confirms they lied. They _still_ have the ability to wipe any blog that hasn't updated to the new plugin version (4.8.0), which they hurriedly released to delete the kill switch after they were exposed the other day. pic.twitter.com/bNMfRQUBpr
— Michael Waterfall (@mwaterfall) March 31, 2019
Veenstra’s investigation also uncovered questionable remote calls in the plugin’s cron events, undisclosed content and configuration rewrites, and a list of popular plugins that are immediately deactivated when P3 is activated, without the user’s knowledge. He found that some of these plugins are deactivated alongside admin_init, so any user attempts to reactivate the plugins will not stick.
Wordfence estimates the P3 plugin to have an install base of 10,000-15,000 sites. The changes made in version 4.8.0 of the plugin are not transparently identified in the changelog, so it’s not easy for users to know what has changed. The content filtering and the plugin deactivations remain in the most recent release. These types of veiled functions performed without permission could have unintended consequences on sites using the plugin, which non-technical users may not be able to fix themselves.
Pipdig P3 Plugin Performed a DDoS Attack on a Competitor’s Site
Jem Turner, a freelance web developer based in the UK, published a lengthy analysis of the P3 plugin the same day that Wordfence released its analysis. She drilled down further into the remote requests, demonstrating how Pipdig has been using the P3 plugin to perform a DDoS attack on a competitor who also provides WordPress themes and installation services to bloggers. The code triggers an hourly cron job on users’ sites, effectively using their customers’ servers to send malicious requests to the competitor’s site.
The code comment tells us this is “checking the CDN (content delivery network) cache”. It’s not. This is performing a GET request on a file (id39dqm3c0_license_h.txt) sat on pipdigz.co.uk, which yesterday morning returned ‘https://kotrynabassdesign.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php’ in the response body.
Every single hour night and day, without any manual intervention, any blogger running the pipdig plugin will send a request with a faked User Agent to ‘https://kotrynabassdesign.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php’ with a random number string attached. This is effectively performing a small scale DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) on kotrynabassdesign.com’s server.
Turner also contacted Kotryna Bass, Pipdig’s competitor, who said she had contacted her host after finding that her admin-ajax.php file was under some kind of attack. Bass’ exchanges with her host are also published in Turner’s report.
Turner’s post explained how Pipdig’s P3 plugin code manipulated links to point to their own products and services when a user includes a link to a competitor in the the content:
Here we have pipdig’s plugin searching for mentions of ‘blogerize.com‘ with the string split in two and rejoined – concatenated – to make it harder to find mentions of competitors when doing a mass ‘Find in Files’ across the plugin (amongst other things). When the plugin finds links to blogerize.com in blogger’s content (posts, pages), they’re swapped out with a link to ‘pipdig.co/shop/blogger-to-wordpress-migration/’ i.e. pipdig’s own blog migration services. Swapping these links out boost the SEO benefit to pipdig, and the vast majority of bloggers wouldn’t notice the switcheroo (especially as if the page/post was edited, the link to blogerize would appear in the backend as normal).
The plugin did not ask users’ permission before performing any of these actions and most of them were implemented with obfuscated code. Turner’s investigation also covers how the P3 plugin could harvest data and change admin passwords. Many of the findings overlap with Wordfence’s analysis.
“I was aware that Wordfence had been contacted for an opinion, although I was unaware they were writing a post and vice versa,” Turner said. “I wasn’t surprised that they wrote about it though, given the risk to WordPress users.”
She has been in contact with authorities regarding Pipdig’s unethical coding practices and privacy violations.
“From my side of things, I’ve been in contact with Action Fraud (submitted a report through their website) and NCSC (who pointed me back to Action Fraud and gave me a number to call). From pipdig’s side, there are threats of legal action in their blog post but I’ve received nothing yet.”
Pipdig’s Public Response Skirts Critical Concerns
Pipdig Creative Director Phil Clothier published a public response from the company which opens by characterizing the recent investigations as “various accusations and rumours spreading about pipdig” and includes an emotional plea regarding how distressing recent developments have been for his company. He claims that his team and their supporters are being harassed.
After pushing out the 4.8.0 version of the P3 plugin, removing some but not all of the offensive code, Clothier opts for a Q&A style format for his post, putting every question in the present tense:
Do you DDOS competitors? No.
Do you “kill” sites? No!
Do you have the ability to kill sites via the pipdig Power Pack? No
Regarding the “kill switch” feature they built in, which detects all tables with the WordPress prefix and drops each of them, Clothier said it was simply a function to reset a site back to its default settings. He deliberately misrepresented what it does:
There was function in an older version of the plugin which could be used to reset a site back to the default settings. This function had no risk of of malicious or unintentional use. I can say categorically that there was no risk to your site if you were using a pipdig theme. This feature has been dug up and labelled a “Kill Switch” for maximum negative impact on us.
Clothier claims the function was available in the P3 plugin in July 2018 when a third party started posting Pipdig themes for sale on their own site:
A 3rd party was able to download all of our themes illegitimately and post them on a clone of our own site. This included previews of our themes and the ability to purchase them. We were first alerted to this by people which had purchased a pipdig theme from there, but were finding that certain features did not work correctly. After investigation, we found that the victim had purchased the theme from the 3rd party, thinking it was us. The 3rd party not only gained the financial benefit of the theme payment, but also used it as a way to inject malware and ads into the victim’s site. The reset function was put in place in order to remove the 3rd party’s ability to host preview sites with our themes. It worked, and they have since disappeared. The function was then removed in a later version of the plugin.
This is a false claim, as Wordfence pointed out in an updated article. The first instance of the code responsible for database deletion was committed to the plugin in November 2017.
The company failed to address the most critical concerns presented in the Wordfence analysis in its first pass at issuing a public statement. Instead, on the matter of coordinating a DDoS attack on competitors, Pipdig blames users and suggests they may have added the competitor’s URL to their sites.
“We’re now looking into why this function is returning this url,” Clothier said. “However, it seems to suggest that some of the ‘Author URLs’ have been set to ‘kotrynabassdesign.com’. We don’t currently know why this is the case, or whether the site owner has intentionally changed this.”
Further investigations published by Wordfence today showed that Pipdig also added DDoS code to its Blogger templates and was actively issuing malicious requests up until yesterday:
During the investigation of Pipdig’s WordPress plugin and themes, we also came across some curious code associated with their Blogger themes. This code is part of Pipdig’s suspected DDoS campaign against their competitor, and was active until April 1, four days after Pipdig’s denial of any such behavior.
Some of Pipdig’s Blogger themes have been confirmed to make external JavaScript calls to Pipdig’s server, specifically to the script hXXps://pipdigz[.]co[.]uk/js/zeplin1.js.
On March 31, as the investigations became public, Pipdig deleted its public Bitbucket repository and replaced it with a “clean one,” removing three years of commit history. Wordfence and many others cloned the repository before it was deleted and saved snapshots of pages to cite in the investigation.
That clean repository @pipdig published earlier today in place of the one containing all of their malicious code… They changed the reported release date of version 4.8.0. pic.twitter.com/YqKASTUZE7
— Nicky Bloor (@nickstadb) April 1, 2019
Pipdig’s public statement contains a number of other false claims that are outlined in Wordfence’s followup piece with code examples. Clothier closes the article by casting aspersion on the press, presumably to encourage customers not to trust what they read from other sources.
I contacted Pipdig for their comment on recent events, but Clothier declined to answer any of my questions. One of those was why the plugin disables Bluehost’s caching plugin without informing customers.
Another one from the @pipdig plugin. If you use one of their themes on @bluehost then they intentionally slow your website down by disabling the BlueHost cache plugin, then they can inject content with the title "Is your host slowing you down?" CC @jemjabella @heyitsmikeyv pic.twitter.com/48DUXsDyBj
— Nicky Bloor (@nickstadb) March 31, 2019
Clothier said he didn’t have any comments beyond what he said in the public statement but encouraged anyone interested to read the new comments added to the code in version 4.9.0:
We’ve also updated version 4.9.0 of the plugin which includes extra commenting in the code, which will hopefully help clear things up like issues with Bluehost caching and the_content() filter.
If anyone is unsure, we recommend updating to the latest version as always. However we also contend that the previous versions had no serious issues too.
Pipdig declined to answer questions about licensing but the products do not appear to be GPL-licensed. This may be why the company deemed it within its rights to take action on those who they believe to have “stolen” their themes.
Pipdig Customers Share Mixed Reactions to Reports of Vendor Backdoors and DDoS Attacks
In what is perhaps one of the most brazen abuses I’ve ever seen from a theme company in WordPress’ history, Pipdig’s user base has unknowingly been used to target the company’s competitors. Regardless of the company’s motive in combatting the unauthorized distribution of their themes, these types of backdoors and undisclosed content rewrites are indefensible. They prey upon user trust and in this case the victims were primarily bloggers.
I think that's why so many of us are so angry. Bloggers are the lifeblood of #WordPress, you create content and for the most part don't have big budgets to spend. So when someone takes advantage of that those at the "low budget" end of the market, those that cant afford devs…
— Andy Powell (@p0welly) March 31, 2019
One of the more puzzling aspects of this story is that many of Pipdig’s users seem to be unfazed by the gravity of the findings in these reports. Without full knowledge of the inner workings of a product, many customers make decisions based on how they feel about a company, regardless of being confronted with facts that should cause them to question their experiences.
I’m not concerned. I trust them. And I’m certainly not panicking and acting on the words of two blog posts citing their competitors. They’ve served me well for years.
— Caroline Hirons (@CarolineHirons) March 29, 2019
Others are angry to have had their sites used in an attack. Getting set up on a new theme is not a trivial task for non-technical users who may have had to pay a developer to launch their sites in the first place.
Honestly? I’m really angry. I trusted them for years, and in return my site has been used maliciously against other small businesses. I’ve been watching this unfold since Friday but even this update shocked me. https://t.co/mPsO8EoHBp
— Charlotte (@bycharlotteann_) April 2, 2019
“My mind is absolutely blown by pipdig’s public response,” Jem Turner said. “I understand that they were counting on their users’ completely non-tech background to bamboozle them, and it certainly seemed to be working in the beginning, but anyone with even the slightest bit of coding knowledge can see that they are lying and I genuinely don’t understand how they think they’ll get away with it.”
The crazy part is if we want to be really real about this, it's more like
The cable guy cut a big hole in my wall and installed a door handle on it. He took some painter's tape and scrawled "THIS IS A CABLE BOX" on the drywall. Then looked me in the eyes and said "No I didn't."
— Mikey Veenstra (@heyitsmikeyv) March 31, 2019
This incident shines a spotlight on how unregulated the commercial plugin and theme ecosystem is and how little protection users have from companies that abuse their power. If you are a Pipdig customer affected by this incident, there is no assurance that the company will not build more backdoors into your site in the future. The plugin updates are not reviewed by any kind of authority. Fortunately, there are a few actions you can take to create a safer environment for your website.
First, look for GPL-licensed themes and plugins, because they grant you more freedoms as the user and are compatible with WordPress’ legal license. GPL-licensed products are also a strong indication that the authors respect user freedoms and the shared economic principles that this open source license supports.
Many reputable theme companies choose to host their products’ companion plugins on WordPress.org for ease of distribution and shipping updates. The official directory does not permit these kinds of shady coding practices described in this article and all of the plugins go through a security review by the WordPress Plugin Team. If you are concerned about code quality and the potential for abuse, do a little research on your next prospective commercial theme provider or opt for free WordPress.org-hosted themes and plugins that have undergone a more rigorous vetting process.

GOD DON’T MAKE ME HAVE TO DEFEND TAYLOR SWIFT
Tumblr media
San Francisco — The ACLU of Northern California today sent a letter to Taylor Swift and her attorney refuting their meritless legal defamation threats against a local blogger.
On Sep. 5, PopFront editor Meghan Herning wrote a post titled “Swiftly to the alt-right: Taylor subtly gets the lower case kkk in formation.” The post is a mix of political speech and critical commentary, and discusses the resurgence of white supremacy and the fact that some white supremacists have embraced Swift. It also provides a critical interpretation of some of Swift’s music, lyrics, and videos. The post ends by calling on Swift to personally denounce white supremacy, saying “silence in the face of injustice means support for the oppressor.”
On Oct. 25, Herning received an intimidating letter from Swift and her attorney labeling the blog post as defamatory and demanding that she issue a retraction, remove the story from all media sources, and cease and desist. The letter threatened a lawsuit.
“This is a completely unsupported attempt to suppress constitutionally protected speech,” said ACLU of Northern California attorney Michael Risher.
The letter went on to say that it should serve as an “unequivocal denouncement by Ms. Swift of white supremacy and the alt-right.” But that denunciation would only be known by Herning because the letter also attempts to use copyright law to forbid her from making it public.
“Intimidation tactics like these are unacceptable,” said ACLU attorney Matt Cagle. “Not in her wildest dreams can Ms. Swift use copyright law to suppress this exposure of a threat to constitutionally protected speech.”
Herning contacted the ACLU after receiving the letter from Swift's attorney, and ACLU lawyers determined the legal claims were unsupported. The blog post is opinion protected by the First Amendment.
“The press should not be bullied by high-paid lawyers or frightened into submission by legal jargon,” said Herning. “These scare tactics may have worked for Taylor in the past, but I am not backing down.”
The ACLU has requested a response from Swift and her attorney by Nov. 13 confirming that they will not pursue a lawsuit.
THIS IS THE ORIGINAL POP FRONT ARTICLE RIGHT HERE
Swiftly to the alt-right: Taylor Swift subtly gets the lower case “kkk” in formation with “Look What You Made me Do”
An anti–Marxist Mixtape review.
A little over a decade after her musical debut, Taylor Swift has made a career out of being portrayed as a good girl unjustly wronged. Her song catalog is stocked with tunes about how innocent she is, and how men seem to wrong her. But the most notable moment of the Taylor-as-an-innocent-victim narrative may have come when Kanye West interrupted her Best Female Video acceptance speech at the 2009 Video Music Awards to drunkenly ramble about how Beyoncé should have won.
Kanye upstaging Taylor in that moment not only gave that narrative merit in a lot of people’s eyes, it also looked like the personification of many a long-standing white fear: a black man taking away a white woman’s power. And Taylor has been playing off that narrative ever since, while America has embraced the notion of white victimhood — despite the reality. Kanye West is still hated for that moment, and the media has documented further fights between Taylor Swift and other pop stars such as Katy Perry, Calvin Harris, and Kim Kardashian. There is no shortage of media details about these “feuds”, whatever their purpose may be.
On the other hand, the idea that Taylor Swift is an icon of white supremacist, nationalists, and other fringe groups, seems to finally be getting mainstream attention. But the dog whistles to white supremacy in the lyrics of her latest single are not the first time that some have connected the (subtle) dots. A white supremacist blogger from neo-Nazi site The Daily Stormerwas quoted in a Broadly article in May 2016 as saying, “it is also an established fact that Taylor Swift is secretly a Nazi and is simply waiting for the time when Donald Trump makes it safe for her to come out and announce her Aryan agenda to the world.” What “facts” the blogger is pointing to are unclear (and likely invented); still, his statement exemplifies how neo-Nazis and white supremacists look to her as their pop icon.
And it is fitting: in the past few months, white supremacist trolls have jumped off line and onto the streets. Charlottesville was a coming out story for white supremacists and nationalists, a chance to show who they were and what they want — or really who they didn’t want in “their” country. But the brazen white supremacists on the streets are not the only ones who have bought into the current form of white supremacy. There is still a contingent of the country that agrees with the president and his response to the tragedy of Charlottesville. For all Trump’s tomfoolery and cavorting with white nationalism, his approval rating has stayed steady: almost 40% of the country thinks he is doing a good job. Perhaps this is an affirmation of the racist policies and climate that this administration has capitalized on and intensified, because racism and white supremacy have always existed in America — and the president alone cannot take credit for the movement.
The American eugenics movement  — a pseudo-science theory that the human race would be improved by controlled breeding to increase the occurrence of desirable heritable characteristics that favor the white or anglo race — was alive and well long before Hitler came to power. In fact, the American Eugenics movement actually inspired Hitler. During the Progressive Era of the late 19th and early 20th century, eugenics was considered a method of preserving and improving the dominant groups (a.k.a. “white” groups — a shifting political label) in the population. These early ideas paved the way for racist and nativist reactions to emigration from Europe rather than scientific genetics. Meaning, as the Italian, Irish, and other immigrants poured into the country, eugenics was used as the basis for keeping those groups out. [Source]
The American eugenics movements received extensive funding from various corporate foundations including the Carnegie Institution, Rockefeller Foundation, and the Harriman railroad fortune. Eugenics was championed by Ivy League scholars, Congressmen, and Presidents alike. One of the major campaigns emergent from the Eugenics movement was the restriction of immigration and scapegoating of immigrants, similar to what we see today. Another was the systematic sterilization of the poor and disabled. By 1910, eugenics had become so popular that even women’s suffragists groups were lobbying for eugenics legal reforms. Prominent birth control advocate and Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger advocated for controlling birth rates among poor people, people of color, and the disabled.
Eugenics was popular among those who wanted the US to stay out of World War II, and until the US was attacked at Pearl Harbor, they were successful. Eugenics only fell out of favor because of the Nazi defeat in that war. Yet America never quite defeated the eugenics-based racial hatred in our country and culture, which is why it is no surprise that today the alt-right is echoing the cries of eugenicists. Indeed, signs with slogans like “defend the European race” are not new; the support of Trump for “extreme vetting” is just another form of advocacy for segregation.
Indeed, we often forget that there were many Americans who thought we entered the wrong side of the war. The Nazis received myriad support from the American business community and wealthy, WASP-y Americans, who seemed to see common cause. And while prior to the U.S. entering World War II, American support for the Nazis was never explicitly stated, the silence and refusal to help in the face of racial atrocities said everything. The racialized politics of the era lived on in America through segregation in housing (e.g. redlining), banking, xenophobic immigration policies, reactionaries against the civil rights movement, the Reagan era, the War on Drugs, etc.
Taylor’s lyrics in “Look What You Made Me Do” seem to play to the same subtle, quiet white support of a racial hierarchy. Many on the alt-right see the song as part of a “re-awakening,” in line with Trump’s rise. At one point in the accompanying music video, Taylor lords over an army of models from a podium, akin to what Hitler had in Nazis Germany. The similarities are uncanny and unsettling.
Aziz Ansari has aptly referred to the quiet support of white supremacy as “the lower case kkk”: that is, the quiet racial hatred that has played a role in the social, cultural, legal, and political history of America, and not just the “backwards” south as some may think. Quiet racism only needs subtle encouragement, and it seems that “look what you made me do” fits the criteria perfectly. The song “Look What you made Me Do” evidently speaks to the lower case kkk; and they have embraced it.
Tumblr media
The day the song came out, Breitbart jumped on the lyrics on Twitter:  “I rose up from the dead, I do it all the time,” a line that they interpreted as racism and racial hatred rising from the dead. Those tired old beliefs about protecting the white race have found new racists to carry the torch (literally) and their beliefs into the 21st century. Breitbart and their loyal followers are central to the movement to be proud of being a racist, white supremacist and have the audacity to equate that with patriotism. And for liberal Bay Area natives like myself, who grew up with a healthy dose of 90’s era “racism is dead” propaganda, it feels like racism has risen from its grave with the stamina of a White Walker. While society at large seemed to reject racism as an abstract concept, the internet provided an “underground” space for racists to congregate without fear of retribution until Donald Trump encouraged them to come out in the open.
Taylor’s are lyrics that connect with whites that are concerned with what they see as the white dispossession of power. Breitbart highlighted another lyric on Twitter, the line, “but I got smarter, I got harder in the nick of time. Honey, I rose up from the dead, I do it all the time.” The lyrics were paired with the image of a story about a loophole for buying AR-15s. And the lyrics speak to even more than just unnecessary gun glorification but also to the white people who have been closeted racists for years.
Later in the song, there is another telling line: “I don’t like your kingdom keys. They once belonged to me. You asked me for a place to sleep. Locked me out and threw a feast (what?).” These lyrics are the most explicit in speaking to white anger and affirming white supremacy. The lyrics speak to the white people resentful of any non-white person having a position of power and privilege. Think of Barack  Obama: the fears of white dispossession of power were actualized in his success, which was a huge factor in the appeal of candidate Trump. He is a patriarchal, rich white man that embodied the anger and white supremacist ideology.
From the White House to the streets, chants like, “ you will not replace us” and call and responses like “whose streets” “our streets” were yelled by white men carrying torches in the night in Charlottesville a few short weeks ago are reminiscent of Swift’s lyrics. “I don’t like your kingdom keys, they once belonged to me,” is another way of saying, I will not be replaced and anger over white dispossession of power.
The lyrics validate those who feel that have been wronged, e.g. white people angry about a black president. The chant, “our streets” is similar to saying “you locked me out and threw a feast.” It is about feeling displaced, feeling wronged.
In other words, these lyrics became the voice of the lower case kkk, and Taylor’s sweet, victim image is the perfect vehicle and metaphor for white supremacists’ perceived victimization. With the song at the top of the charts, it makes one wonder: how large is the lower case kkk? How much are people paying attention to the lyrics of the song? It is clear that Breitbart has embraced the song as being a white supremacist anthem, so why wouldn’t Trump’s base — and other white Americans that believe they deserve their white privilege — embrace it as well? And considering Taylor’s fan base is mostly young girls, does the song also serve as indoctrination into white supremacy?
It is hard to believe that Taylor had no idea that the lyrics of her latest single read like a defense of white privilege and white anger — specifically, white people who feel that they are being left behind as other races and groups start to receive dignity and legally recognized rights. “We will not be replaced” and “I don’t like your kingdom keys” are not different in tone or message. Both are saying that whites feel threatened and don’t want to share their privilege. And there is no way to know for sure if Taylor is a Trump supporter or identifies with the white nationalist message, but her silence has not gone unnoticed.
“Quiet racism only needs subtle encouragement, and it seems that ‘look what you made me do’ fits the criteria perfectly.”
Swift is not one for politics. She did not endorse Hillary Clinton until November 8th, 2016 on the eve of the election. She has stayed away from race conversations directly, but her music has been interpreted as racially offensive before. Her song “Shake it Off” has come under fire many times [salon]. The song has long been considered an insult to black America, yet it debuted at the top of the charts and is one of Swift’s biggest hits. It is clear her message of being white, pretty, and consequence-free is one that many in America have embraced. And like the quiet support that Trump received to the surprise of polls, Democrats, and the world, Taylor is giving support to the white nationalist movements through lyrics that speak to their anger, entitlement, and selfishness.
When Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, and Beyonce openly campaigned for Hillary Clinton, Taylor’s political silence appeared to be a rejection of her peers’ support of the inclusive Democrat platform. And when one of the most popular female artists in the world declines to join the many in her field in voicing for progressive politics, it could well be construed as her lending support to the voices rising against embracing diversity and inclusion emblematic of Trump supporters. Further, the single attacks other pop stars in the same way that the alt-right has attacked the “liberal” media. Taylor’s song identifies with the oppressed conservative trope, and the song is indeed their anthem.
Taylor Swift was called “Nazi barbie” by Camille Paglia, who stated that Swift is “a silly, regressive public image of white 50’s America.” That seems to fit nicely with the imagery of the alt-right. Her lyrics are like an affirmation for everything the alt-right has been feeling for years: oppressed, afraid to come out, and made to look like a fool. And now that they feel empowered, it befits the movement to have a white, blonde, conservative pop star that has no doubt been “bullied” by people of color in the media, singing their feelings out loud. And with a president that openly addresses hate groups and justifies racial hatred, this is not a time for neutrality.
And while pop musicians are not respected world leaders, they have a huge audience and their music often reflects their values. So Taylor’s silence is not innocent, it is calculated. And if that is not true, she needs to state her beliefs out loud for the world — no matter what fan base she might lose, because in America 2017, silence in the face of injustice means support for the oppressor.
AS MUCH AS I WOULD LOVE TO SEE KARMA COME TAYLOR SWIFT’S AWAY THIS IS BULLSHIT.

Best 9 WordPress Social Media Plugins For 2020
2020 just started and the impact of social media continues to rise. It’s time we plan for the future and keep ourselves a step ahead of others.
As I said, with the reach and impact of social media growing at an unparalleled pace, it is essential for bloggers to reach out to their followers as well.
Do you know what the best way to do so is?
Let me tell you.
Integrating social sharing buttons on their blogs. By incorporating social bookmarking and sharing buttons, you will give your readers the ability to quickly share your blog posts on their favorite social networking sites.
Doing so will help you drive more traffic from social media sites which will, in turn, also help improve your search engine ranking.
Huge benefits with little effort. Isn’t that great?
I have already discussed the advantages of social media sharing for SEO and how important it is for every blogger to add social media sharing buttons to their blog from day one.
Also read:

How to add a YouTube subscribe button to your blog
Do remember, “less is the new more“, so only add those social sharing buttons which are useful.
I would recommend that you add at least the essential ones to start with – the Facebook share, WhatsApp share, Twitter share, and Pinterest “pin” buttons.
Depending on your blog’s demographics, you can also consider using additional buttons such as LinkedIn, Reddit, Telegram, etc., but this should be done carefully so that you don’t overload your blog with unnecessary social share buttons.
Got it?
Now, there are many WordPress social media plugins out there, but I have listed below the best plugins for you to start using today.
Social Snap
Novashare

Best Social Media Sharing Plugins for WordPress in 2020
1. Novashare
Novashare is a newly released social sharing plugin. Novashare only adds 6 KB and 2 requests to the front end of your site.
Novashare, unlike other social share plugins, uses inline SVG icons instead of third-party icons which means there are no additional libraries or DNS lookups needed just for the icons. There count refresh rate options uses a staggered approach, which is the best for performance because it keeps API calls down. This makes it even faster!
Here are notable features of Novashare:
ClickToTweet feature
UTM tagging feature
Pinterest Pin images feature
Novashare is developed in native WordPress style, and is newbie friendly. You can literally configure this plugin within seconds.
They also have, “Share Count Recovery feature”. This feature can combine your previous domain and your current domain’s social share counts which is helpful after domain migration.
Novashare share buttons are optimized for both desktop and mobile. You can also set breakpoints so that when the browser’s viewport is above or below the breakpoint, social share buttons hide.
The follow widget feature helps you get new social media followers.
So, if you ask me… this is it. A modern, super fast, lightweight, and easy to use social media share WordPress plugin.
For a complete guide about Novashare and its feature check our Review of Novashare. Download Novashare Plugin
2. Social Snap
Social Snap is a powerhouse of a social sharing plugin, and it does much more than just adding social sharing icons. It supports over 30 of the most popular social networks and lets you place the sharing buttons in a variety of places for optimal results. It even lets you place sharing buttons with a shortcode, which is a rare feature.
You can read my earlier review of SocialSnap plugin, to learn more about it.
You also have complete control over the design of the buttons. You can choose a shape, size, choose from unlimited colour options, labels, and even add a little animation to the buttons, which is pretty amazing and eye-catching.
Social Snap accurately tracks the number of shares for all networks using APIs and clicks, and you can even preserve your share count if you change your URL—which is very important.
There are many other important features, and the developers even have some addons to the plugin (available on some plans), which will help you auto post on social media, revive your old posts, and lock your content and force users to share it. Download Social Snap plugin
3. Social Warfare plugin
Social Warfare is a feature-rich plugin.
The Social Warfare plugin comes in 2 versions, the free version and the Pro version. The free version has all the basic features that you would need to setup social sharing on your website. But if you’re serious about social sharing, then you should opt for the pro version, which is not that expensive considering its value.
The free version lets you pick from the most popular social networks, and offers 4 different placements for the buttons, including floating bars.
The sharing counts are pulled in with the API, and you can also change some open-graph data to customize the look of the shared post. Read my review of Socialwarfare to learn more about this plugin.
The Pro version supports additional networks, adds a pin-it button on your images, gives you full control over open-graph tags, and many other important features.
You can also set up author attribution and configure the sharing options so that your username is automatically added to the shares. Apart from that, you will be able to track your shares with shortened links and UTM Parameters.
Here are some of the features that persuaded me to buy this plugin:
Drag & drop feature to add/remove social network (see screenshot above)
Show Twitter share count (unique feature)
Add sharing button above or below your content
Add floating sharing buttons (highly recommended to get more shares)
Support short URL & Analytics Tracking to see how much traffic you get from social media sharing
Frame buster to stop others from framing your content
Excellent support
Add ‘Pin It’ button to all images of your blog
Has added support for WhatsApp button
If you are looking for one option which works for both desktop & mobile, Social Warfare is the right WordPress plugin for you. Download Social Warfare plugin
4. Easy Social Share Plugin
If you are looking for an alternative to the Social Warfare plugin, Easy Social Share is a perfect solution for you. Despite being a premium plugin, it costs only $22, and you can install in on multiple websites. Recently, they released the 7.2 version of Easy Social Share plugin with many cutting-edge features. This plugin is used by over 300,000 websites and is still one of the highest rated plugins in the Codecanyon repo.
This plugin offers many advanced features such as A/B testing your social media buttons placement & you can trigger social sharing buttons to show based on user action. That could be after commenting or when user is about to click the exit button. Download Easy Social share plugin
5. Monarch by Elegant Themes
If you are looking for a paid WordPress Social Media plugin, look no further than Monarch.
Not only does this plugin let you add social media sharing buttons in various places on your blog, but the buttons are also created with the goal of encouraging sharing.
Monarch lets you add sharing buttons in various places including ‘flight’. Fly-ins are generally used for adding email subscriptions, but if you are someone who understands the importance of social media, you may want to consider using this option for social media sharing as well.
What I like the most about the Monarch plugin is that it also lets you add sharing buttons on mobile sites. The placement will ensure that you get a good number of shares even on mobile phones.
To download the Monarch plugin, you will need to buy a license for Elegant Themes which includes access to all of their themes and a few more premium plugins. Download Monarch Plugin
6. Jetpack
Jetpack is one of the most popular WordPress plugins mainly because it can add many features to your blog.
One of the many features of this plugin is that it allows you to add social media sharing buttons to your WordPress website.
If you already use the Jetpack plugin, you can activate the sharing module and add your desired sharing buttons. You can learn more about the Jetpack plugin here.
You can also check out out the official page on activating Jetpack’s sharing buttons.
7. Share Buttons by AddToAny
Share Buttons is another advanced plugin for integrating social media share buttons.
Well, the name suggests it all!
Now, the reason why I used the word “advanced” is that this plugin comes with lots of customization options. Share Buttons by AddToAny will let you add responsive sharing buttons on your blog (which is a big plus).
Additionally, AddToAny lets you add over 100+ sharing buttons (not that you need that many). There are also plenty of placement options.
One of the best features of this plugin is that it allows you to track your social media sharing using Google Analytics. Download Share button by AddToAny
8. Sassy Social Sharing Plugin
Sassy Social Sharing is another powerful social sharing plugin for WordPress. It is completely free to use, and fully GDPR compliant. In fact, it does not insert any sort of tracking cookies on your browser.
It supports over 100 different social networks and offers plenty of options to customize the position and appearance of the sharing buttons. A unique feature of this plugin is that it integrates with myCRED, using which you can reward your users for sharing your content.
The only drawback of this plugin is that it has limited tracking options. But, for a free plugin, it is pretty good. Download Sassy Social Share
9. Social Media Share Buttons by UltimatelySocial
If you solely go by the number of ratings, then this plugin has the highest number of 5-star ratings of any plugin we’ve mentioned. But there is a reason that I have placed it on the bottom of my recommendations.
On the surface, the plugin has excellent features. It is a freemium plugin, and the free version supports over 200 networks with 16 designs for the sharing icons. You can place the buttons on multiple positions, and even configure pop-ups for social sharing.
Considering these features, the reasons this plugin is low on my recommendation list is that it adds a credit link to your website (premium version removes it), and it does not have any tracking support whatsoever. Download Social Media Share Buttons & Social Sharing Icons
If you want to check out some other popular social sharing plugins, here are a few more that you may wish to consider:
Social Media Feather
If you use any other plugin and would like to recommend them to other Shouters, feel free to write back to us using the comment section.
Also, as we have been talking of sharing, please remember to share this post with your friends on social media sites!

Twitter disabled some sharing options on a tweet from President Trump on Sunday, and labeled it for violating its rules against spreading coronavirus misinformation. In the tweet, the president said he had “A total and complete sign off from White House Doctors yesterday. That means I can’t get it (immune) and can’t give it. Very nice to know!!”
Even with the label, the tweet is still available for those who click through the warning, in keeping with Twitter’s position that keeping tweets from elected officials visible is in the public interest. And attempts to share the tweet bring up an alert that reads “We try to prevent a Tweet like this that otherwise breaks the Twitter Rules from reaching more people.” The labeled tweet is still able to be quote-tweeted, however.
Tumblr media
The president’s assertion that he’s now “immune” since he already contracted the coronavirus is likely what got the tweet flagged, since there have been documented cases of coronavirus patients becoming reinfected. A man in Nevada had COVID-19 in March then recovered in April only to fall ill again in May. The first documented case of a coronavirus reinfection occurred in Hong Kong, where the patient showed no symptoms the second time around.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website has limited information about reinfections, but says “a person who has had and recovered from COVID-19 may have low levels of virus in their bodies for up to 3 months after diagnosis,” and that the science “does not imply a person is immune to reinfection” from the virus.
A Twitter spokesperson said it was not the first time the platform has disabled sharing on a tweet by the president containing incorrect information. In addition to updating its policies last month that it would label or remove tweets with false information about election rigging and results, Twitter also said it would label posts from candidates prematurely declaring victory. And Twitter said back in March that it was taking a “zero-tolerance approach” to coronavirus misinformation on its platform.
Last week’s updates further tightened the rules around spreading misinformation, and encouraged people to quote-tweet and “add their own commentary” to tweets before retweeting someone. The update also included plans to flag or remove tweets meant to incite interference in the election or election results, and tweets from political figures with more than 100,000 followers — which includes President Trump — labeled as “misleading” are now more difficult to access
Twitter has labeled several of Trump’s tweets for violating its policy on manipulated media and civic and election integrity for tweeting falsehoods about mail-in voting.
The White House did not immediately reply to a request for comment Sunday.
