I made yet a ROKR 3D puzzle, this time their Solar System Orrery!

Spent more time than what it said it would take (aprox. 7 hours) as i wanted to have all the pieces properly sanded, waxed, and took my sweet time assembling the pieces so as to not break or mess up a step. Just look at this beauty!

If I knew how I'd love to add a little electrical motor to slowly turn the little handle, would look darling being able to sit back and watch the planets spinning in their orbit around the sun.

Mechanical Music Box Starry Night

I started another project 4 days later. A bigger one with movements! Exciting because it will have an music box inside and it looks cool on the pictures. I've started at around 7 PM until I had finished the bottom part with the music box inside it. The day after I finished this project at around 10 PM. In total it took me 5 hours but it felt like it was one. I had so much fun assembling this piece and after it was done it was still fun because you could see the movements and hear the music. This will be a nice piece in my yellow room!

In conclusion this project was still not very hard for me, sometimes I had to read the instructions a couple times to see what they actually meant. But when I figured that out it all made sense. At least it's better to read the instructions more steps ahead then assembling every step at a time. Because when you read further through the instructions it makes more sense and it will be easier. When you make a mistake it is hard to take steps back! So I would not recommend that.

Overall this project is super fun and there are more projects in this series that I would love to build! There is this "Secret Garden" and a "Romantic Carousel". Those two I would love to collect! Yet another successful creative project!

Time Engine or Wooden Calendar Clock is a brand new wooden model made by ROKR / Robotime @rokrofficial @robotimeofficial (they do love to have double and triple names for anything, haha). It is a part of the Time Art collection that also includes Zodiac Wall Clock. ⠀ The collection itself is made by Miko @imagelaserworks , a European designer who is famous for bringing mechanisms, art, time and antique aesthetic together. ⠀ ✅ There are not many features to describe in this model despite the fact that it is a real working clock and a calendar. There are no movable parts or any other additional functionality. ⠀ ✅ The assembly, on the other hand, can be quite challenging, especially with the “accordion” parts that I have mentioned before. Those are extremely fragile and can be broken if not handled with care. ⠀ ✅ Depending on your experience, you can assemble the model in one sitting. Though I would advise to separate the assembly into 2-3 sessions and make sure to rest for 15 minutes at least once an hour. ⠀ ✅ An important note is that you don’t have to use any glue or anything like that. That’s incredible considering you are getting a full-fledged calendar and clock in the end. ⠀ Amazing model and a great new addition to ROKR / Robotime. Looks amazing on a desk in the office or on a shelf of a cozy living room. Great present for someone who whole loves these kinds of trinkets and also is suited for both beginners and hard-boiled veterans. ⠀ More Puzzles on our website.
