So, I continue to draw humanizations of characters from Robot Trains
Tumblr media
In my opinion, X is one of the most ambiguous and mysterious characters.
He saved Duke, Mos with Dos (+ Johnny) , and he helped save the world in S2.
Well, in S3 this shorty became a real villain who wants to take over the world.
It is already interesting to find out if he will be able to do this
(I like this madman lol)

Things about Ninjago that shock people who don’t watch it ✨🍠
- The entire plot of S2 revolves around a ten year old boy training to kill his father who he loves more than anyone
-Patricide canonically happens at least 5 times, one of which being cannibalism
-Also the cannibal made a series of recipes on how to cook his own kind
-One of the Ninja is a Prophet to a series of pagan gods
-There are space guns in a ninja show
-A deadly accurate depiction of depression and ptsd
-Attempted patricide at least twice
-All main characters think their loved one is dead at least once, twice they were dead
-Robots exist and their in universe name was made up as a pun

what fae like qualities do you believe aaravos has?
I don't know enough about the fae to say definitively (I've read some works depicting fae, such as The Faerie Queene by Edmund Spenser from the 1500s, A Midsummer Night's Dream by Shakespeare, some other folklore myths) but I try to stay away from sources that are too Christianized for stuff that's more Pagan / northern and western Europe and the 1500s has plenty already.
When in doubt I'm loosely using wikipedia / old class notes for reference but if there's a site or source I think is cool and helpful I'll note it down below.
There is some that are generally common knowledge, such as:
Fae being mischevious tricksters with very particular phrasing. They don't tend to often be outright malevolent as a motivation, but often do harm to humans anyway either due to ignorance or blue-orange morality.
Blue-orange morality (for those who don't want to watch a video) is basically when a creature or being does not have a morality that operates that we would define it (on a spectrum of ethical right or wrong actions per consequence or intention). A good example is the spirits from ATLA (not LOK) or One-One from Infinity Train. He's a helpful little robot guy and he loves his friends, but he is ultimately bound and operates within the Train's rules. It's not that he can't deter from the Train's rules without distress or that he doesn't want to, it's that deterring from the Train's rules just doesn't compute to him as even a thing to do. He's operating on his own unique level and it's what turns him from a S1 ally to a S2 antagonist (but not villain).
There tends to be an emphasis on names, deals, and exchanges, i.e. if a Fae says "Can you give me your name?" and you tell them it, they own it and you by extension now, stuff like that. Also have a tendency to give humans they like, or humans who do nice things for them, gifts (whether it's actually a beneficial gift is sometimes debatable).
The Fae often lure humans away from the Ordinary Realm into the Faerie Realm, where time and magic work differently. Sometimes this means being whisked away, or unknowingly stepping through fairy rings. This can include both the Seelie and the UnSeelie Court (Scottish folklore).
Examples of the Fae in popular culture include Spirited Away (don't eat the food!), changeling myths (faerie leaving their babies in place of your own, nowadays seen as a connection to old stories of Autistic individuals), arguably Coraline (film and book), will-o-the-wisps, and other figures in Welsh, Cornish, and broad European folklore, etc.
Tumblr media
Variants / similarities include huldufolk (Icelandic and Faroese folklore), sirens (Greek), kelpies (Scottish), etc. Over time Christian (bc of course) associations have also been applied as both demoted angels and tempting devils, but that sort of works given one of Aaravos' most prominent comparisons is Lucifer, and Prometheus, who were as crafty and clever as they come.
Basically:
Aaravos emphasis (or lack thereof) regarding his name and the general mystery surrounding it — "My name would mean nothing to you" even in the face of Viren's demands
We see the emphasis on phrasing given that it's been stated by the crew that Aaravos never lies, but we know he purposefully obscures and omits information
Entering into deals and exchanges with humans, giving them gifts and promises (Ziard's staff, Viren's rule for himself and Viren's life for Claudia)
Him seducing Viren yes I said it / everything with Sir Sparklepuff tbh
Fae can also sometimes set trials to pass or tasks for people to fulfil, similar-ish to Aaravos giving Viren a little fetch quest for them to communicate / "Those who fail tests of love are simple animals."
We don't know what Aaravos actually wants, exactly, or why, but given the indifference of the other Startouch elves to humanity's plights (and the fact they've let Aaravos wreak havoc and have never stepped in to stop him) it's a far bet their long, illustrious lives have given them a decidedly warped morality, and that Aaravos is pretty indifferent to other people's immense suffering at this point, too
His mirror realm being its own sort of faerie realm that he can bring Viren in and out of
Aaravos having multiple names and monikers — the Fallen Star, the Midnight Star, one of the Great Ones — much the way the Fae folk have many — the Good Neighbours, the Fair Folk, the Kind Ones, the Wee Folk, the Others (citation).
This isn't as much of a thing but all the nature motifs surrounding Aaravos (Elarion as a flower, the nature-esque patterns on the box that held the Key and that match the key, the flower and vine emulations on his mirror).

Exorcist Headcanons/Theories
Because Vaggie didn't IMMEDIATELY regrow a new pair of wings, does that mean whatever injury exorcists sustain could only regenerate through a trigger?
Vaggie's new pair of wings are a different color than her original wings, so if an exorcist were to lose a body part NOT by a holy weapon, then whatever is regenerated will take whatever form that the trigger influenced
Lute may or may not regrow her arm back. She didn't lose her arm to angelic weapons, so she didn't lose it permanently. If the trigger allowing regeneration is only activated through strong and just thoughts/feelings (perhaps combined with immense training), then that means Lute won't regenerate her arm immediately due to having so much grief and anguish. Maybe thinking what she'll do for the sake of Adam MIGHT lead to regrowing an arm, but what if it takes a demonic appearance? Knowing Lute, maybe she'd bottle up her grief and set it aside so she can focus on vengeance.
Exorcists & Sinners regenerate differently since exorcists may seem to possess varying degrees of control over regrowing what they lost (with Vaggie just figuring out how to regenerate a new pair of wings)
Like what some theorists have already mentioned, only a few exorcists appear to have lines around their neck which may be an indication that they're a higher rank than ordinary exorcists. Most of them seem to have spears, which are a common and generic weapon among that army, so maybe having a distinct weapon is another way to identify a high-ranking exorcist?
High-ranking exorcists get to choose a weapon of their liking and add a few changes to their attire
With Adam dead, Lute probably undergoes a new design (like perhaps have a golden halo, include some of Adam's clothing elements to hers, gold & black wings, POSSIBLY a robotic arm, etc.)
If there's a lieutenant, there could be secondary lieutenants or generals as well
Quite a few of the surviving exorcists likely have battle scars that may have a goldish tint to them due to the fact their blood is gold in color (I bet that'll lead to them considering adding armor to their uniform & practice self-defense against sinners so they're better prepared)
Lute seems to be quite smart & takes her role quite seriously, so if she doesn't succumb to her rage, she definitely is reasonable enough to be aware that she & her army should prepare before making a move (that gives plenty of time for the Vees to be the main antagonists in S2)
Seeing Lute with roughed up wings, I assume that means exorcist feathers prolly molt (tho we have yet to see any exorcist feathers laying around during/after exterminations)
Exorcists are bloodthirsty & sadistic, so I can imagine that there'd be a list of extermination records such as highest kill count, how many kills there were each year, top 10 deadliest exorcists each year, etc.
275 is considered badass according to Adam, so whatever is the average kill counts is significantly lower (like maybe 100-150)
Exorcist eyes are typically yellow/ivory & their skin as well as hair color is in a gray scale (with Adam as an exception)
Since Adam has been around since the beginning of exorcists, it's UNLIKELY Carmilla could've ever been the head exorcist before him
I've seen a theory regarding Vaggie having just a single stripe on her wings unlike everyone else who has 2, so she either may have always had 1 stripe or it can be possible that wings change appearance (tho that's a stretch)
However, if it's true Vaggie having 1 stripe is an indication of virtue due to her wings having more white than usual, that means other exorcists with lighter wings would've faced some discrimination & immense pressure (since I haven't seen such occur cuz Vaggie's wings weren't mentioned as to why she's punished, then having 1 stripe is rare af & that makes absolute sense). The pressure placed on unusual-winged folk prevents any more of them from falling into hell & ofc it's best to maintain as much of the army intact as possible so they can do the extermination with minimal issues.
There may or may not be other fallen exorcists & it's plausible we don't see them because they're disguised or in hiding (or they're already dead)
It may be quite a stretch, but Vaggie isn't the ONLY exorcist who gained a sense of morality (there may have been other exorcists who have fallen because of it or are bottling it all up in denial)
Fallen exorcists may have been kept in record, but somewhere in absolute secrecy so they're unheard of for the sake of maintaining stability (or it could be the other way around & they're constantly referenced as to place fear among the exorcists to prevent them from ever stepping out of line)
It's more possible that exorcists fall for reasons besides showing mercy (such as disliking Adam for how immature & sloppy he is as a commander & desiring to kill him or killing sinners when it isn't extermination day)

Ninjago: Eyes
I feel like ninjago has a big split on eyes, so I wanted to share what I think about them! Also some things do get repetitive on them so sorry, AND AND this is my ✨opinion✨ if u think differently u can let me know, just don’t be rude abt it :/ Kai: Before S4 he had Green Hazel eyes, and after S4 he had Amber eyes that would flare up red when using mass amounts of power (Ex: When fighting the ice dragon in S11). The reasoning for the color change being all the power that was in the staff, his eyes CHANGED COLOR and you're telling me that there was no effect? Yeah right. When his power was gone in S11, S12 and S5 (for like 2 minutes) they were brown (Also the other times but they are the only two that comes to mind). Also before the color change it was dominant brown Hazel. And his Avtar in Prime Empire has Blue Eyes. Cole: He always had Light Brown eyes that became brighter after reaching his true potential, BUT after the whole ghost thing they had a small green highlight to them and when he was a ghost they were a bright green (not as bright as Lloyd’s tho). Also when he goes sicko mode they become more of an orange with the green highlight becoming a dark brown. And when he lost his powers in S5, S12(?) and some other time they become Light Brown again.
Jay: He had Brown eyes but after reaching his true potential they became dark blue (like a sapphire) and again when using mass amounts of power they become an electric blue. Also he is fully blind in his Right eye, making it a discolored blue, he became blind in that eye after season 3 when he accidentally shocked himself in that eye when fighting a Nindiroid (something to so with them being robots so they like became a toaster in maker and a spark got him in the eye), making his right side his literal “Blind spot” but he and the others (Mostly Nya) helped him find a way to still sorta see his right when fighting. Also “Super Star Rockin Jay” has yellow eyes. Again when he lost his powers in S5, S12 and some other time they became Brown besides the right one.
Zane: Zane has light blue eyes, nothing more to it. THE ONLY TIME that they are different is when they are rebooting or charging, (being gray). When they were the Ice Emperor he had almost TO much of a blue, eyes. Oh and when losing their powers they don’t change because they are literally a part of their design.Idk I need ideas.
Lloyd: So, Lloyds eyes were red in S1 and the majority of S2 until the final battle they became Golden, then after they got their golden powers got snatched they became red again. So instead of using mass amounts of power to make his eyes green, they just have to use their powers, this starts around season 6-ish do to training and all that jazz, but by the time S8 comes around they are fully green. When mad, their eyes will turn purple and also they have lil slits for pupils. When losing their powers in S8-9 they were a very dull red (not bright like they were before they turned green) and they were still green in prime empire and the other times because their eyes were't changed do to reaching their true potential and was just green do to the sheer amount of power they have, or something…. Also also, when possessed by Morro they were a Dark Green. Nya: Like Kai she has Hazel eyes, but they are Blue Hazel, they became light blue after she reached her true potential. And once she lost her powers in S12, seabound, and some other time they became brown. Ok long rant over :3 Should i do more???

I think the reason the monks turned into such jerks to Jack including Omi was because of Omi town I don't even like Omi and I wanted to beat Jack butt for it. Because it was such a slap in the face to. Omi who tried to help Jack so many times gave Jack the benefit of the doubt was kind to him and believe Jack could be good when no one else did or would have
I understand your frustration, anon. It can be classified as 'one of the most jerkish things Jack has ever done in the series'.
However, (looks at my imaginary list titled 'Jack Spicer did some things wrong but these jerkish acts are justified)
No, don't get me wrong, I am in Jack's protection squad but I am capable of seeing his flaws. Yes, that's a horrible thing to do to the only person that tried to help you (see mainly the Apprentice but more examples could be found throughout the series). Even for a little kid!me that was something unbelievable to happen but now I blame the poor writing of the 3rd season for it. (I gotta cope somehow ok)
I would like to move on to 'Let's justify Jack' part. Maybe 'justify' is a strong word. He took part in that manipulation so it should not be excused BUT I'd point out something that intrigues me a little bit.
In Omi Town after defeating Omi's Mother, monks realize she's in fact a robot. Omi makes a face and everyone rush at Spicer with anger evident on their own faces.
What's Jack's immediate reaction when he gets circled by dragons in training?
Tumblr media
He curls up in fear and exclaims: 'THEY MADE ME DO IT!'
Then, he proceeds to tell everyone gathered how that village was made in the first place and we got a short flashback with HB making jackbots look like Omi's relatives of some sort.
Tbh It struck me HOW Jack delivered that story. Usually, (especially in s1 and mid-s2) Jack boasts about his evil plans. He makes sure his enemies KNOW what steps were made to fool them because Jack this way wants to show them how his mind is superior in comparison to theirs. He's proud of each evil deed committed throughout the process (presumably because it builds up his self-esteem which is already in shambles)
Anywho, mind that during his story about the origins of the 'Village of Omi's robotic clones', he's serious. No evil laugh, no belittling Omi for falling for that.
Tumblr media
Does that look like a face of a proud evildoer to you? No. He's being honest, and frankly to say, even sad.
The last sentence he utters after the flashback makes me even more convinced about his honesty.
Tumblr media
He bends down to be more on Omi's level. He looks straight into his eyes, his brows furrowed worryingly. It almost looks as if Jack felt sorry for the Cheeseball.
'We figured if we break up the dream team, we can take all the wu!'
for Jack it's simple logic, mind you. Additionally, no one among the Heylins even considered Omi might come back to the temple. Jack was more than certain Omi would stay with the fake parents. He never meant to hurt Omi directly. Who knows? Maybe after robbing the temple vault, he would re-program the parent bots to change their minds and let Omi be the monk again (but these are my speculations)
Let's settle on what the overall message sounded like.
'They made me do it'
'They made me build other robots'
'Hannibal bean then used Moby Morpher to make MY robots look like your relatives. If you had any.'
There is more accusation of Wuya and HB in Jack's voice. As I mentioned earlier Jack takes pride in whatever evil he's up to. He's building the brand, or whatever, so it is vital to him to give credit to himself (and optional partners in crime of course). Here we see/hear he DOESN'T WANT TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH THAT PLAN. By constantly repeating 'not me. they made me do ---something-' he withdraws himself, which has never happened earlier in the series. (ok maybe that time with the evil snowman but whatever - you get my point)
Was he trying to save his own butt by putting the blame on Wuya and Roy? Oh, yes, he's a coward. But I dare to assume deep down he wasn't feeling ok with that scheme 100%. The way I see it, Jack went into 'survival mode', that is, he decided to act what other Heylins expect him to do so they won't hurt him in any other way. (Mind you he got a black eye at the beginning of the episode and got slammed against furniture by Wuya and HB and Wuya directly threatened him) Was he laughing with other baddies and taunting Omi during his showdown? Yes, but in a more ' I'm in a bad position so I can have a little fun with them' kinda way. Raiding the temple is one of jack's fav activities (lol) and he feels ok with it so his partners -Wuya and HB no longer were the same oppressors but more like a means that would help him get safely to the wu vault.
If we take into consideration the statement 'Jack from season 3 is a laughing stock and everyone seems to push him around' - this one applies here too. I'm of the opinion Jack was against Wuya and HB's intentions toward Omi but ultimately Jack yielded to their persuasions. Why? He was afraid. Out of fear, we tend to agree to things we would NOT normally agree to. Wuya even without her powers wrecked the boy good so she could've broken some of his bones as well. And with HB's help, they could do even far worse things to Jack. Let's not accuse Jack on the basis he wanted to protect himself - Wuya and HB are more to blame in this one.
Jack was simply USED in that scheme and robbed of resources (robots). More importantly, he built the whole village himself - I bet Wuya and HB didn't help him in these preparations. Jack was valuable to them in that very episode only because he was more like a useful tool rather than an ally, which is sad. (but tbh these little smiles Wuya and Jack exchanged were kinda cute)
To sum up, Jack is not entirely responsible for playing with Omi's feelings. He was the pawn, who in fact did the majority of the dirty work BECAUSE he was being threatened. That sort of manipulation Omi was the victim of was totally unfair especially if we consider that Jack-Omi bond from the series as a whole. However, in that very scene, we see glimpses of regret in Jack's mannerisms.
As a side note, I would like to point out, even if 'Omi Town' hurts me very much for Jack's betrayal of Omi's trust, I would like to see this being expanded on. For example, they should have a one-on-one talk in which they have a little quarrel, mentioning all the bad things they did to each other so they could just... talk this through and find some katharsis in their shared pain or sth.

random Usagi Chronicles tid-bits (I'll add more as i remember):
as mentioned in my previous timeline post, Neo Edo is a futuristic Edo-inspired city, powered by a mythical/sciency Ki-Stone
the city lights seem to kep on at all times (purple/purplish, like the Ki-Stone)
there are flying cars, refridgerators with AI, vending machines
hover cars, TRON-esque racing games, robots for different tasks
cameras, modern surgery....
no phones (sdfsdfsd sorry i just thought that was funny)
I'm guessing they just don't need phones cuz everyone lives in the city (and we haven't seen any other cities yet)
Usagi's the first rabbit Gen has seen in the city
Usagi and Kiyoko have the same bday (in the first ep)
Usagi states he is almost 16 in the opening scene of the show (and that's why he should be allowed to the city)
Usagi is 16 and definitely acts like a teen seeing a city for the first time
he sees a newsbotto and says "I've heard of these before"
Usagi plays in an arcade for the first time
Spot has never seen bubbles before that ep in s2 where Usagi buys him a bubble-blower
Usagi has a very low attention span (getting distracted by anything new, i.e. streets, games, food, signs)
Even though it's modern, the show still bases itself in many traditional japanese elements
i.e. - kimono and other similar clothes are worn left over right side
traditional japanese games are still popular in Neo Edo
edo-style japanese buildings still exist, even with modern additives
the show has a nice subtle message about letting nature rest from the city (turning off the lights eg light pollution)
Kitzune and Chizu are both orphans
apparently, so is Toshiko sort of (Gen's twin? sibling) who left for a life in the circus and other things before re-uniting with Gen during the 3rd ep of season 1
Gen and Toshiko separated as children after their parents and family were chased out of town due to fear
You can see Gen and Toshiko playing with a Gen and Tomoe Ame figures in their flashback in s1, the characters who Gen and Chizu are based from og Yojimbo series.
Gen is a germaphobe;
He spends a lot of time at the hospital, for stuff where he's just worried about something and thinks he has a symptom for;
at the same time, it seems he is just as much there to see the the Shiba-inu doctors, who raised him after his family fell apart (s1 e6)
Gen is also arachnophobic (he seems to be scared of most bugs, but is maybe semi-okay with crickets(s2 e5))
Kitsune grew up in the streets (I assume) while Chizu grew up in the Neko Ninja crew, a childhood without friends or any normalcy
farm boy Usagi absolutely hates farming
Tetsujin and Lady Fuwa used to date (for Fuwa, mostly to get the Ki-Stone scroll, which Tetsujin planted only because he knew - so neither was really dating for real?)
Usagi is pretty skilled with a sword, but sort of like an unrefined gem bc of his brashness and dis-respect.
Karasu-Tengu said the yo-yo is the only interesting thing about him but he's not very good with it yet
(edit nov 22) Auntie trained Usagi "for years" in the sword and other stuff
Auntie is a war veteran as seen by multiple elements in the show hinting at it - her ear and leg prosthetics, her experience with the sword (training Usagi enough that he has some raw skill), her words at Usagi ("the greatest master needs their sword the least"), her fight with Lady Fuwa
(OG post continued from Oct 25th)
Usagi is a nerd for Yokai and all things samurai and that's one reason he's still pretty good at fighting+knows enough info to help the team
that's all for now but sdfsdf hope to add more as I remember stuff
edit for nov 22nd (og post from Oct 25th):
On rewatch I also noticed that Chizu's left ear with the tear in it looks a bit like it could be from ear rings being torn out. I noticed this based on art director Khang Le's concept art, where Chizu has a white streak in her hair and also earrings) this could be anything though, as this is a common injury on real-life cats and she also has it in her first flashback scene (s1 e4)
Usagi is actually pretty good at noticing small details/bigger picture stuff, also at fight coordination. I noticed the first time but even moreso on rewatches:
1st ep he notices a small crevice/hole in the mogura tunnel's ceiling where he jammed his sword to create a small tunnel slide to escape the mogura gang
for the s1 finale, he has trained more with Karasu-Tengu, but when fighting in the dark with the Bat Crew later on, he followed Chikabuma's instructions on fight moves flawlessly, based on nothing more than the latter quickly throwing out what to do in an exact way
he seems to come up with battle-saving plans a lot, and doesn't even boost his ego with that knowledge
Usagi is probably really proficient at picking up other weapons too! He briefly fights and doesn't actually take that much time to take a liking to his yoyo. On that note....
Usagi's yoyo has saved him/been useful on more than one occasion, not just as a weapon
he can block attacks via the chain/string of the yoyo
it can sense Yokai
when Usagi used it to spiderman out of a fight, then to stop a warbotto from rampaging by tripping it via the chain
saved Kagehito from disappearing by putting him back in the Ki-Stone to recuperate
I'm sure I'm forgetting something else here
when Usagi and Kagehito went into a coma and almost got stuck in the prison orb at the tail end of s2
it's gotten broken once (the string/chain was broken at the end of s1) and Usagi is heartbroken over it (+ disappointed at himself)
Gave Usagi the access to the Ki-Stone's extra power boost, letting Usagi ascend the heavens and transform into a giant samurai-armored spirit-version of himself (think, like the susanoo avatar in Naruto, or like a spirit-mech)
the Ki-Stone can repair and give out new Kaikishi weapons
at the start of s2, it chooses Gen, Kitsune and Chizu as it's new Kaikishi warriors (closing the door on a comically sad-about-it Usagi, who still wanted a 2nd sword)
we haven't seen yet what the other Kaikishi weapons special abilities are (Usagi's yoyo is so far the only one able to capture and control/move the various Yokai in the series)
all of the mystic weapons can still interact with ghosts/apparitions, so that's probably why the team is careful not to hit Tetsujin with them while fights happen in the temple
possibly the secondary abilities are the secondary weapon transformations and abilities they show in some of the new episodes:
Kitsune can summon her tessen at will, not having to carry them
Gen change the size and form of his war clubs by merging them into one big kanabo
Chizu's bow is collapsible and she can shoot fire arrows and homing arrows with them (it seems she can materialize whatever arrow she needs at a moment)
The Ki-Stone couldn't have held in the Yokai for more than it did, so it was actually good that Usagi accidentally released all the Yokai (s2 e7, "Willow Branch", stated by O-Dokuro)
little visual references like this (prob not og Kitsune?)
Tumblr media
Kitsune's little sister Kiyoko is not so little in this animated adaptation (in the comics she is a smaller fox, in this series she is a big robot)
Gen's sister Toshiko doesn't like visiting the hospital, but does like hiding out at the arcade toilets for some reason
it's unknown what happened to the criminal that Gen was bounty-hunting in the first episode, but in a later s1 episode, he is seen laughing and clapping with the rest of the crowd, but is then approached menacingly by the Shiba-Inu doctors (this is bothering me to no end bc I can't seem to get the inside joke, that might be a cultural difference? I guess we'll never know)
For an apparition on "another plane of existence" (we know you're a ghost Tetsujin), Tetsujin is pretty good at building all sorts of mechanical stuff
Tetsuji also made the prosthetic horn gen receives in ep 4 and we can assume that builds the rest of his horns too.
I'll post more as I rewatch the series :D (end edit 22.11.2022)

Okay I haven’t posted in a while so have a ginormous Ninjago sleep headcanon post that I started writing months ago lol
(I originally wrote this in the notes app so apologies if it’s formatted awfully)
- Wu has all their ninja outfits commissioned and actually commissioned their pyjamas as well as a house warming gift at the bounty in s1 as most of their clothes were burnt with the monastery
- Nindroid can dream depending on their programming but it’s usually when they’ve left some programs on before powering down. They can prevent dreaming by properly closing programs before sleep.
- Zane
- Zane is little worse at doing this than Pixal because 1) he still spent a portion of his life not knowing he was a robot 2) he downloads lots of movies and documentaries which he’ll leave running 3) he usually stays up late training/learning and will accidentally fall asleep and leave these programs running
- He’ll have the weirdest dreams because of it. Like he will find himself as the main character of the movie he last downloaded, in the midst of a crime scene, a rainforest or within his memories. At this point, there’s a 50% chance he’ll remember he’s dreaming and will just go along with it, and sometimes he’ll completely believe the dream
- When he does this he’ll probably wake up tired
- He has an internal timer that wakes up at the same time everyday, so he’s usually up consistently. If he was dreaming, it takes him a second to just stare into space and remember where he is
- His prophetic dream ability is probably inherited from the former ice elemental alongside the powers and it takes the form of a hidden program zane can’t access. It’ll usually block Zane’s wake up alarm so the only time Zane will sleep in is when he gets a prophetic dream. If Zane isn’t up then he’s almost impossible to wake, and the other Ninja will make bets on what he dreamt about
- Zane sleeps like a brick either way, and can’t be woken up by the other ninja unless he senses some form of danger which in that case he’s fully alert
- Zane reads books before bed
- Zane in s1 didn’t really know about him being a robot so he would just wake up at random times in the night (to eat deli meat)
- When Zane found out he was a robot he somehow convinced himself that he didn’t dream because he had a weird preconceived notion of what robots were (explaining that one scene in s2)
- Zane likes to sleep like humans do so he charges a power bank in the day and uses it at night (he doesn’t have to use this often though, as long as he sits still he can slowly regain energy, and he can also burn food as fuel, which is why he ate out the fridge at night in s1)
- Pixal
- She wasn’t able to dream in her old body because she was connected to an online power source and didn’t need sleep but in her new body she needs to charge and as a result can dream
- She does not experience dreaming often because she takes care of herself and closes unused programs
- However not in s9, s11 etc because she would accidentally leave videos of her loved ones on (Zane and Cyrus) because she misses them
- She goes to bed and wakes up at the exact same time every night and day
- She couldn’t sleep inside Zane’s head but she would try to close any of his unused programs. She wasn’t too enthusiastic to watch Zane struggle through a documentary about the life cycle of worms
- Pixal sleeps in her samurai armour. She also sleeps/powers down standing. She went to a bed in s11 because she felt like she would fall over in the night if she thought about Zane disappearing
- Sometimes Pixal does night shifts as samurai x.
- Wu got her matching pyjamas. She does not wear them
- When she gets home she might find people sleeping in random places (Zane) and just picks them up and carries them to their rooms
- Kai
- Didn’t like sleep. In seasons 1-4 he’d sleep late due to training and wake up early for the same reason
- When his parents left they left in the middle of the night. Kai was 4 years old and woke up in pitch darkness only to find that no one was home. He stayed up til the morning. In the present he’s still a little worried that he’ll one day wake up and everyone would leave him, although he’s gotten better
- His solution was to just never sleep, and instead train so he could be better to protect his family. (I mean we can see this in the pilot when he was still awake on his first night at the monastery and when he woke to find Nya)
- Everyone else kept trying to make him sleep more, Wu telling him he’d need his strength, Cole and Jay telling that him training and talking to himself at 1am was annoying
- It was only when Lloyd joined and had repetitive nightmares about the serpentine, pythor and his father that Kai started to work towards a healthier sleep schedule
- Kai, due to being the lightest sleeper on the team, would wake up and go to Lloyd’s room to begrudgingly calm him down, to which Lloyd would ask him not to leave, and Kai would fall asleep on a chair or on the floor next to Lloyd’s bed
- Kai had much more of a healthy sleep schedule since s4 when the team reunited, learning the glory of sleeping in.
- Despite being a light sleeper, Kai is one of the groggier on the team, practically living off of coffee (which they hide from Wu lol). A real nightmare in mornings, so it’s a good thing he takes so long fixing his hair and washing, so he can shake off his tiredness
- Nya
- is a lot like Kai in that she sleeps late
- She used to sneak out at night to work on her mechs and still does when she’s building
- However she’s always trying to sleep in and is another regular caffeine drinker
- She and Kai don’t really dream
- One of her least favourite things about becoming a ninja was Wu forcing her to wear the matching pyjamas and everyone else encouraging this/hj
- She doesn’t have as long as a morning routine as Kai, she just goes straight into work grumpy af
- Sometimes when she’s worried or stressed she’ll have trouble sleeping and just get up and work on something she’s making
- That’s how she got through the group splitting in s4, by working on the bounty
- She hates sleeping alone and when she was little she would sneak into Kai’s bedroom and curl up next to him
- However as they grew into teens, her desire to be more independent, she tried to steer away and jumped at the chance of getting her own room in the bounty
- She only started to be more vulnerable after s6 and s7, sometimes sneaking into Jay’s or Kai’s or really any of the other older ninja/Pixal to cuddle
- She falls asleep really quick when she’s calm
- Jay
- Jay also sneaks into Nya’s room to cuddle
- Jay has a tier list of who’s the best person to sleep on top of (Jay will dive into someone’s lap and lie there like a cat)
- Nya is at top because she has to be (secretly she’s second to Cole because he’s incredibly cuddly and chill but we let Nya dream, anyways she’s also very cuddly)
- Then it’s Zane because he’s gentle and will adjust himself, however you’d have to bring a cushion because he is made of metal
- Lloyd and Kai tie because they move around a lot and generally feel a bit awkward
- Jay has tried to sleep on Pixal but she stood up and he fell on the floor. She didn’t even say sorry (fair)
- Jay will always tell people about his dreams. Unless he dreams about s6 because he’s repressing those memories
- The main side effect of travelling through a lost timeline is that he’ll have very vivid dreams of specifically that timeline, both of events he lived through and events that would have happened
- Sometimes he’ll have nightmares about injuring his eye and he’ll wake up and momentarily be blind in one eye, although it’s just his tired mind.
- It’s like a phantom reality
- Nya also experiences this
- Jay still sleeps with mr cuddlywumps because yes
- Remember in one of the s1 shorts when he was cuddling the nunchucks of lightening? It’s canon he has to sleep holding something
- On top of wu’s pyjamas, Jay’s parents make him pyjamas and then they made pyjamas for the other ninja. (Pixal wears the top overtop of her suit)
- Jay goes to bed early because he’s tired of everything (see s7 ep 1). He also gets up and a normal ish time
- He’s what they call a morning person, an early jay gets the worm
- He also is much better at snapping out of his sleepiness. He gets cranky late at night tho (so when Kai insists on training at home midnight he’ll throw the nearest object at him)
- Cole
- Cole used to be the least touchy person on the team, trying to maintain the stoic stony image, especially after Lilly’s death, but as he spent more time with the ninja, he became the most kinetic. He and Jay are probably the most touchy people of the group now so that’s why (secretly) he’s top of Jay’s cuddle list
- Tbh he’s the top of everyone’s cuddle list
- And he very much enjoys it since after he became not a ghost because he missed having physicality, and it reminded him he wasn’t forgotten
- Sleep feels very different as a ghost, it’s cold as if the wind cuts right through you, and because most of being a ghost is people’s soul, ghosts tend to disappear when they sleep. Also ghosts don’t need sleep so generally it’s a negative experience. Cole spent a few lonely nights staying awake and was terrified of falling asleep in fear of disappearing for real
- After becoming physical again he collapsed for some much needed rest
- Cole usually goes to bed at a normal time but he’s not too consistent
- And he more often than not lays in
- If he has a bad night or gets woken up he will be incredibly grumpy for a good portion of the day (see s11)
- Cole dreams the usual amount nothing remarkable. He’ll usually get confused by them
- On a long day he will lie down where ever and just pass out. Again he’s cuddle material
- Sometimes however others will be much more sleepier and so he stays up to make sure they get to bed. Like Pixal he’ll carry them to their rooms before passing out on the last one’s bed
- Cole’s mother, when she was well, used to tell him bedtime stories of her adventures. This inadvertently caused his fear of dragons as she told him the story of grief bringer (although it was told from her perspective and differently so that he didn’t remember it in s13)
- Cole doesn’t really like sleeping alone because if reminded him of the times he left both his father after his mother died, and the ninja when Zane died, so when they got they’re own rooms at the monastery he had manage to chat with someone else in someone else’s room before falling asleep there
- Eventually he started sleeping in his own room after he started feeling comfortable
- He still leaves his door open which annoys Jay and Kai greatly because he snores. Nya, Zane and Lloyd find it calming though
- Lloyd
- Poor Lloyd. He’s lived through so much nightmare fuel where to even begin
- When he was left at darkley’s he’d have dreams of his parents abandoning him. He’s wake up and sometimes he thought he saw the shadow of his father
- He was also bullied for not being able to sleep
- Then when he ran away he had to sleep outside in the cold
- When he joined the ninja he’d dream about pythor every night. Sometimes Wu would wake up to comfort him, but Kai was more likely (because Kai didn’t sleep)
- Kai once made a sarcastic comment about Lloyd’s nightmares before back pedalling hard because Lloyd started tearing up
- Wu used to read him bed time stories in s1
- In s2 Lloyd read a chapter of his comic books before bed
- The nightmares of Garmadon leaving him restarted after s1
- Lloyd continued to have dreams of the final battle long after it happened.
- Lloyd dreams about Zane’s death, Garmadon’s death and everyone else somehow dying as well as Morro I’m sorry
- I think it’s cuz Lloyd’s mind is very hyperactive (also he has so much nightmare fuel)
- Lloyd has trouble getting to sleep, but it’s a bit better if someone’s there with him.
- S7 Lloyd training to be a master, stayed up late worrying too much, and since everyone else was a little preoccupied with their own thing he didn’t want to disturb them
- Lloyd isn’t a very touchy person especially since s5. He probably would like to cuddle with others but his need to maintain the image of the strong green ninja always stopped him. Also he was kinda afraid of touching Cole when he was a ghost and he felt bad
- To accommodate for this the ninja would rope him into group hugs or just chilling together in the sitting room. That’s how Lloyd falls asleep the best
- Lloyd would stay up really late and sometimes fall asleep on missions if he’s had a bad night. They just take him home
- The ninja would usually nag him to sleep more and whenever Kai does it Lloyd just goes “the hypocrisy”
- Lloyd still struggles with sleep but he’s more used to it since s11
- Since s10 sometimes he has weird floaty dreams about the fsm but they don’t make sense
- The ninja and wu all had ways of helping Lloyd sleep during s2: Kai would always wake in the night to check on him, Zane would heat milk when he’s had a bad day, Jay tried sewing a plush (cuz that helped Jay sleep so maybe Lloyd might also find it helpful, Cole and Wu would tell bed time stories (Cole’s stories are a little intense so Wu usually ushers him out), however Cole cheers him up in the mornings when Lloyd has nightmares, Nya also made Lloyd nightlights and room decorations
- Sometimes after recovering from a season finale, the group for various reasons find it hard to sleep so they throw a slumber party (that Wu allows as a treat).
- It involves snack, movies and so many blankets
- Arguably the best way to fall asleep

Hi, can I call you Skye? It's me, the Hex anon again.
You are really sweet and absolutely correct on the "triangulating". I'm doing a deep dive into your blog now. Here are a couple more questions, a little more specific:
Hot hurt/comfort vs cold hurt/comfort, as in desert vs blizzard Which one you like best?
What are your favorite injuries to inflict upon Saul?
Pre-canon vs canon compliant vs canon divergent vs post season 2. Pick two?
How would you define a soul-mate?
And finally... Do you have headcanons for Saul in "season 3"?
Hex Anon - 😎
HI HEX ANON!!! Of course you can call me Skye!! You're sweet for asking. I love your questions so much!!!
Hot vs cold: oh my lordddd. Hot is great because obviously we need to remove clothing to stay cool. But cold is great because obviously we need to cuddle together for warmth. In conclusion... yes. 😌
(They are tied in my mind but given this is the holiday exchange I am going to choose cold!)
My favorite injuries to inflict on Saul. Again you come to me with these cruel decisions to make!!! Hmm something that would leave him conscious but wounded enough that he can't escape his situation by himself, he needs help. Gunshot? Arrow shot? Stab wound? Running barefoot over broken glass? Something he received while in pursuit of protecting his students or Farah? Something he accidentally did to himself and now he's guilty about it?
Canonicity: I am going to say pre-canon and/or canon compliant!
Soulmates: To be honest I don't really ascribe to the notion of soulmates, hence why I am interested in a twist on the prompt! But I suppose how I'd define it, in the fic I'd like to read, is that two people continuously choose to be together because it's the best person for them, no matter the obstacles in their way. Continuous choice, including continuous reminders of why they are the right choice (supportive, same values, complimentary strengths...? basically non-toxic).
Season 3 Saul: gahhh I really dislike how robotic S2 Saul was, so keep in mind my hcs are more reflective of Saul's S1 characterization. He tries to keep close to Sky while Sky spirals, including conversations about how they've both lost the most important person for them. Sky lashes out, Saul takes it because he has to and he's still guilty of lying to Sky about Andreas. They also finally have a conversation about Andreas. He begrudgingly supports Riven training Musa to be a Specialist/mind fairy combo. He's occupied with blood witch skirmishes and getting Alfea back up to speed to fight the war Sebastian started. A new headmistress takes over and she and Saul butt heads over Alfea's direction and/or the system Farah had in place. Ben comes back and he and Saul have an extremely angsty argument about Ben betraying Saul to Roz. He eventually finds out the Winx have been working on a way to return Bloom from the Shadow Realm and helps them succeed.
Lastly I want to say, I appreciate all these questions because I could talk for HOURS about Saul Silva 💕💕 But I want you to know that whatever you write doesn't need to be comprehensive of all of these or even most of them! Please feel free to pick one or two threads that interest you and lean into those. I am going to love it!
(Sorry if that last paragraph comes off as patronizing, but it's something that I would appreciate hearing from my own giftee so I thought it might be helpful to you as well)

Tell me about the blorbo currently hanging out in your brain the most.
@misscrazyfangirl321 Eeeeeee thank you so much for asking this!!! 💖 It made me so happy because one of my blorbos has been spinning donuts in my brain for the past couple days and I've been thinking about him nonstop, lol. I've loved him for four years, but he's made a resurgence lately! His name is Bumblebee. Specifically, Bumblebee from Transformers: Robots in Disguise (2015). He keeps the peace around here...or tries to, anyway. <3
I was rewatching this episode ("Metal Meltdown, S2, E3) right as you sent the ask, actually! Perfect timing, lol. ✨And oh my goodness. Oh my goodness. This scene ^ hit me so hard, once again. This episode is one of my favorites for many reasons. Masterful swordsman villain with theatric flair! Cool swordfights, wherein the villain acknowledges Bumblebee (a war veteran with far more years of combat experience than the rest of his young team) as a worthy opponent with skill unseen in quite some time! Beautiful animation and storyboarding, especially in moments of action! But in this scene in particular...I see so much proof of why I love this version of Bumblebee with all my heart. I love RiD Bumblebee so very much because in most continuities, Bumblebee is the most faithful follower to the revered Autobot leader, Optimus Prime; he trains under him and fights beside him during the Cybertronian war, but Optimus is always in charge. In Robots in Disguise, however, Bumblebee is no longer the rookie scout that he was in most shows / movies; rather, RiD is set in Bumblebee's future following the war! Thus, RiD Bumblebee is a young adult, veteran soldier who now is learning to lead a team of Autobots himself, just like Optimus Prime led him. And it's not easy for him at first. He has to find his rhythm, and grow comfortable stepping up as a leader. But Optimus Prime has always believed in him, and Bumblebee wants to honor Optimus, so he does his best. Though other Cybertronians disagree with his methods from time to time, Bumblebee strives to uphold Optimus' longtime axiom of protecting Earth and all humans that live upon it, even at the risk of his own life. No other Transformers story I've experienced thus far has ever captured this well, or even dared to delve into this concept. It's rare for a story to put such emphasis and care into a future version of Bumblebee carrying on Optimus' legacy...but RiD not only does it, RiD makes it so very special. My favorite moment in this video is where the villain, holding a kid captive, has kicked Bumblebee to the ground...but he hears the father come running for his son, fearful of his safety...and Bumblebee forces himself to rise. And, as he rises, the camera focuses on the Autobot insignia shining on his chest. Because that's what a true Autobot does—they get up, no matter what, to save and protect. The father is clearly distressed, and Bumblebee understands his fear; but rather than yell at the father to "get out of the way!" or "step aside!" or something along those lines, Bumblebee simply extends his hand, catches the father, and swoops him away to safety. Then he marches forward, and stares down the villain with righteous fury burning in his eyes, and commands, with no leniency in his voice, "Put the human down." It's so good...! And it really spotlights one of the deepest parts of Bumblebee's character, all while using that part of his character to create a story-driving conflict, because now the villain sees his respect for the humans as a "fatal weakness." Wonderful storytelling. I love it so much.
