[I know this is the exact wrong place to ask this, considering your blog's theme. But I'm very curious, and you seem like a person who knows a bit about the Drawf-sphere.]

Is there any YouTube channel similar to Drawfee? I've never gotten any Drawfee-adjacent channels/videos recommended to me. Is there no one in this niche (ie, prompt/challenge-based drawing + funny banter)? Or are they just not successful?

[I don't mean this in a "I'm leaving Drawfee for them" way. I'm just surprised there aren't like 83 channels trying to replicate Drawfee's success.]

Shit! I dunno what Reb, Onsta, etc do in their own stuff! Are they in this space?

Hiya! I actually don’t watch a whole lot of art YouTubers besides Drawfee but I just watched and loved Rebeckeronie and Nathan Longs’ Drawtectives themed collab:

Ross draws also seems pretty cool, though I really only know him from his collab with Drawfee

If anyone else has any suggestions that would be appreciated!!

getting a huge audience and surviving off your art is a dream situation but self-indulgence and enjoying the process is way more important than whatever your followers want

real ones will rock with you though your experimental phases and obscure fandoms & honestly that's all that matters

On generative ai

I watched a video recently from SamDoesArts about the RossDraws situation, and he made a point that I really agree with. I don’t think we should be leaning so heavily into shaming, berating, and mocking people who use it. Like he said, and what I agree with too, is that we should encourage these people to make and create their own art, fics, music etc on their own, and give them the means to and support they need to do so. If we want them to stop, we should help them make the art they want. Shaming them is doing nothing to fix the underlying problem. If anything, it’s making it worse by making people want to hide their usage even more.
