My thoughts on Katherine Shalazar as a character.

Okay, I feel like out of all the guardians, Katherine would be the only one not to hold a grudge against Pitch. What I mean is that Jack isn't the only one who has an interesting relationship with Pitch. If not more than Katherine, because they've known each other longer, there is a definite history between them.

In the books, Katherine always had a special interest in Pitch because of the valiant person he was before back in the golden age and the person who is now suffering under the title "king of nightmares."

Yes, Pitch kidnapped her in books 2, 3, and 4. But she would always genuinely empathize with him. Feeling like an outcast herself, she associated her loneliness with his. I feel like, because she knows what kind of man and father he was back in the golden age, she would fantasize about that personification of him to fill the void that Ombric could not.

She also told everyone in Book 3 not to kill him, not because it would make us no better than he is, but because she literally didn't want him to die. To her, he was still a person who mattered despite his actions.

It was like that scene from Pocahontas where she laid her head on John Smith's head, asking her father and her people to spare him.

I feel like Pitch and Katherine could sense a genuine interest in one another. Pitch has no problem hurting anyone in the book series, especially children, but I know at first, he was planning to gaslight and use Katherine's insecurities against her. But somewhere down the line, he let something inside himself throw a monkey wrench in his own plan and allowed himself to feel somewhat delighted to have her as his own daughter. Feeling her sense of loneliness and filling the void he thought he had long forgotten or snuffed out.

Whether she'd like to admit it to herself or not, Katherine was somewhat interested in the small notion of being his daughter, and maybe it comforted her in a way, sparking her interest in him.

They both lost families—one who sorrowfully tries to forget and one who painfully tries to remember. They bring that out in each other.

I mean, Emily Jane would not have felt as threatened by Katherine being his daughter if she didn't feel Pitch was somewhat attached to Katherine.

Hey howdy ya’ll, how many of you remember me and wanna, you know, revive the fkn fandom??

I had a dream the other day about Sandy, having been shot with Pitch's nightmare arrow and presumably "dead" manifesting himself out of corrupted sand. This Sandy then proceeded to taunt Pitch, telling him that he once knew all of his sweetest dreams of loves realised and being important to another, tolerated them, may even have wanted to indulge them, but now he knows his nightmares - and he sees Pitch's longing for companionship and his hatred of the Guardians' indifference and loathing of him, and he sees an opportunity to hurt Pitch for killing him and trying to do the same to his friends. To someone who has lived alone so long, the concept of being wanted is terrifying, and may even feel like a nightmare in itself - a nightmare born from a sweet dream, twisted by hate, betrayal, and an arrow in the back, a cruel pursuit, rooted in a toxic desire to both help and harm. By forcing Sandy to live his personal nightmare of being turned against those he wants to protect, Pitch has left a door open for Sandy to make Pitch live his own. Initially, naturally, Pitch would scorn this, because he's the King of Fear, the Underbed, the Boogeyman, what stupid nonsense is it to be afraid of the vulnerability it takes to have someone in your space, forcing you to let them in, forcing you to do everything you once looked, longingly, half-wistfully, hatefully, to have for yourself but didn't realise that a companion was a bond that needed to be forged and not a possession to be kept? And Sandy - half-mad, with the knowledge and experience otherwise of these safe and healthy relationships but twisted and fouled, struggling to peak over the horizon of his mind and body - intent on teaching him exactly the difference.

Of course - the drama when Sandy is resurrected, and nobody is quite sure how much he remembers - least of all Pitch, left behind, alone, again.

i horsified the old man oops ill come in with a pitch horse when i can find a good fucking BASE ANYHOW i. went a little insane!!! i turned him into a fuckign horse. actually really proud of this despite it being on a base. original base is by elementbases on DA, go check em out if you like mlp bases. ill horsify the others later but i needed pony kozmotis to be real. hes a unicorn bc i said so. in my head golden age ponies have the funny lion-like tails you see in like, medieval unicorn art. modern ponies have normal tails. let me know who u wanna see horsified next, if i end up making this a series. probably gonna do jack eventually.

Krampus: Thinks hes above the naughty and nice list because he sleeps with Santa.
