So because tumblr won't allow me to ask @frosted-night a question, I'll just post this and hope he reblogs. Some people think Krampus is the son of Hel, the norse goddess of death. Krampus may be related to a fucking norse god, making him more op than both pitch and mim. What do you think is North's reaction when he found out that Krampus' mother is Hel? Oh and if krampus isn't related to hel whatsoever, how did krampus get people to think he's Hel's son?

#24. For @rotgsecretsanta Man In The Moon and Jack Frost doing dumb sibling stuff

It should come as no suprise that every time Jack visits the moon he and MiM regress to ten year olds.

Literally, they often have to roll up their cuffs.

This time Jack convinced Manny that the moon dust made for a suitable snow substitute, and the dust cap for the telescope would make for a perfect sled. (To tragic hilarious results.)

Kozmotis Pitchiner was always mad, he willingly became pitch black due to him being the only one able to figure out how to fully 'stop' the fearlings and such, the war was never truly 'won'

Tsar and Tsarina being filled into it.

They sent Kozmotis on a last mission and this request also had a rule that he were to listen to no one other (that's why Manny didn't succeed in making Pitch a guardian in the rufftoons comics)

Kozmotis was always mad. He calculated the most and least casualties, the most and least damages and he found out what the best plan was (him becoming pitch black)

Yes destroying half the galaxies in the universe (Although it's actually Galaxies in the books and not the universe <i think?>)

The civilations that were most at risk (like the púcas) were partially tooken in for protection, meaning that Bunnymund isnt actually the last of his kind (like c'mon púcas can shapeshift and when they do they have glowing yellow eyes and a dark exterior. That is literally the nightmares okay? The púcas are some nightmares <onyx actually just is a horse koz has> {or maybe púca but prolly not})

The explination on why half the Galaxies of the universe was destroyed? Simple, no matter how strong you are, when you are first possesed you will always not 'be yourself' and that's what happened to Kozmotis, again this plan was the safest one despite what happened.

So there I was, walking down a quiet suburban street after dark, wearing a blue jacket, laughing to myself for no apparent reason and looking up at the moon as though it might tell me whether I was lost.

After I saw Gramma Tala's spirit Manta ray form twice in the dark, it reminded me of Jack Frost being reborn at the beginning of Rise of the Guardians, I stared to wonder if MiM/Manny (the Man in the Moon) did the same for her. The reprise of How Far I'll Go did have the word "moon" in it and we all see Tala's "fish" spirit at night. That's one way to use a (Disney and DreamWorks) crossover to put two and two together.

In regards to the book series, I think the part I think of rewriting the most is Nightlights transformation into Jack Frost. Its no secret it's rather.. bloated in some areas.

The transformation makes me think of the life cycle of a star, moreso since Nightlights used to be stars/are made of components from stars. It'd be fascinating to see Nightlight go through such an event and resort to coming out of his isolation for help.

For example, he does indeed lose his glow and gain a solid body but much like a collapsing star; he starts getting horrid hot flashes or fevers. Nightlight could turn to Sandy or Aster and ask if they know anything about whats happening to him. Sandy knowing very little about Nightlights would suggest going to the Man In The Moon, for he might have more information.

Katherine accompanies him to help keep an eye on him and Manny has quite the reunion with his estranged guardian. He quickly realizes Nightlight is in terrible condition and offers any assistance he can. The only place he can think of that has information on Nightlights would be the remnants of the moon clipper inside his lunar home. This would show Manny's complicated feelings towards visiting his parent's former study but he'd keep himself together as best he can. Despite his underlying fear of possibly losing the only family he has left.

Him and Katherine find a journal written by Manny's father detailing what he learned about Nightlights after obtaining one. Both shocked that Nightlight has a very likely chance of dying and becoming a star again do everything they can to help Nightlight. He enters a deep sleep and his core begins to cool.

Manny gets some characterization by worrying over Jack and praying he survives. Nothing he can find says what happens if a Nightlight doesn't become a star again and its getting to him. Katherine tries to be the grounded one but both fall apart at the notion of losing him.

Nightlight eventually wakes up, maybe keeping the idea he slept for a LONG time. Manny, making sure his body was watched over and delights in his brothers awakening. Both conversing over his new form and identity.

I could go on for ages how I'd rewrite it,, but its been rotting my brain for a while.

The Moon's Gift - ROTG angst fic where Jack view's his guardianship as a boon because now he can die. Defender - BBC Merlin fic where Merlin steps in to protect other servants and Arthur sees Merlin treating the resulting injuries. The Big Three In The Life Of Jack Frost - ROTG Jack Frost interacting with Mother Nature, Old Man Winter, and Peter Pan, setting up a series about how Jack is a seasonal experiment between Gaia and MiM to replace Old Man Winter.

What fic has the angstiest ending? Uhhhh. My most common additional tag is Angst. But let's go with Vigil which has Merlin staying in his cell, waiting for Arthur to free him. Arthur keeps waiting for Merlin to bust out with magic. And then it ends with the Druids sacking Camelot and this really raw line:

Arthur burned with the ashes of his father and best friend scattered at his feet.

What fic has the happiest ending? Uhh. Maybe Perfect Excuse? Things are...corrected there. Grocery List Goals has an expected happy ending - Vanya's gotta get kidnapped first though. Did You Waste It? ends with the establishment of a found family for the Honor Without Thieves crowd!

Do you write crossovers? Previously answered.

Have you received hate on AO3? Eh. I've 100% had people drop into my comments that they don't agree with what I've written (they disagree with a ship, don't think something is logical) that I would call rude but not outright hate.

Do you write smut? Occasionally. Most recent was a post-S4 reunion between Yami and Yugi. It's over a year old, I don't do it often. I am working on a smutting sequel.

Have you had a fic get stolen? If I have, I don't know.

Have you had a fic get translated? If I have, I don't know.

What's your fave ship? Cannot answer. There's so many....

What's a WIP you want to finish but never will? I'm so, so scared Veritas is the answer. I know a lot of people want that updated. I probably will also not finish ...And Then Came The Reaper. Sorry Jack, you will forever host the embodiment of death.

What are your writing weaknesses? I'm often too subtle - I think I'm leaving clues for people, but I'm not. How many of you noticed the seeds I planted in Puzzlebox that Yami's soul room....isn't. Or in Hell's Secret that Crowley used to be Lucifer until I spelled it out? Sometimes I want to surprise people and reveal things at the right time, but I know I've had conversations with friends over my original stuff where they completely missed something that would have explained a part of the story.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages on AO3? Do it if it's natural for the character.

What's the first fandom you wrote for? Technically I think Into the Land of the Unicorns. But that you can find on A03 - D. Gray Man.

Lux Noctis: Nightlight

God! Finally!! Last one of the kids!!

Full disclaimer going forth from here, I took all the good stuff of the GoC lore and threw the rest away or completely made it up myself. In all technicality, the Lux Noctis are my OCs even though they're supposed to fill in the position of canon characters. That being said, ROTG and GoC do not belong to me as all of you should already know! All rights are with Dreamworks and William Joyce.

A little bit of spoilers up ahead if you've yet to read the books!

So guys! Here's the last of the kids! Didn't really bother drawing his weapon seeing as everyone knows he already has a diamond tipped spear/dagger. That and I was too lazy to fight the program I use ahsjdjdj

Everyone knows the story of Nightlight I'm sure, but just I case you don't, here's a quick recap; Nightlight is the 8th and last Lux Noctis, body guard of Tsar Lunar XII otherwise known as the Man in the Moon (MiM for short). Nightlight was the one who fought and sealed Pitch away on Earth during the final battle of the Golden Age. He is also the very first to have ever taken the Guardian's oath (albeit a bit different and specifically to be MiM's Guardian) and is considered the first Guardian. Nightlight also ends up becoming Jack Frost later on but we're not focusing on that. Nope. Not at all.

So, let's get to why we're really here; more lore. Nightlight is cool and all, but we barely know anything about his past. So, I'm here to offer you a whole entire past created from random thoughts and idea bouncing!

Nightlight was created a while before MiM was even born due to health complications from Tsarina's side. But that didn't mean he was cast aside! Throughout that waiting time, Nightlight was given private training with Kozmotis but he was also treated as more of a family member than simply a bodyguard for the future prince- so much so that everyone started referring to him as the "Lunanoff Star Prince"

Tsar and Tsarina took care of him as their own and this gave Nightlight the needed care to develop himself more than the rest of the Lux Noctis. This also meant that unlike his siblings, Nightlight's core remained undamaged for a very long time.

Again, I could go on for days with the ideas and HCs I have for this boi, but I won't bore you much here! This is, after all, just a quick overview of the character's backstory.
