Upper Moon Demons at the Gym

I did the Hashira already, but I wanted to explore the upper moons (plus Muzan and a few of the lower moons). If y'all wanna see the other characters (Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, Inosuke, Genya, Tamayo, Yuichiro, etc.) let me know.

Lower Moons + Muzan

Enmu:

Does an astonishing amount of leg workouts. Only wears bulky/baggy clothing. Says milk is better than protein shakes. Will hang around the gym to gawk at other's workouts. Confuses everyone at the gym with weird personal questions while they're in the middle of sets.

Rui:

Refuses to go to the gym. If he does get dragged there by his family, he sits and watches videos on his phone. If there is a pool, he can be convinced to swim, but only in the shallow end. He will take pictures of people to make fun of them. He's been banned from one gym for this.

Muzan:

Takes private fencing lessons and only works out in the privacy of his own home as he thinks the gym is unsanitary. Will try any and every protein shake and pre-workout, obsessed with staying fit and young-looking. Takes every supplement known to man. Wears joggers and muscle shirts. Hates sweating and mostly just walks a lot on his treadmill at home, despite having several other pieces of gym equipment.

Upper Moons

Kokushibo:

Wears a sweatshirt and joggers at all times, never seems to sweat even when he is exerting himself. He prefers extracurriculars such as akido and karate but goes to the gym to supplement his classes. Thinks pre-workout and protein shakes are scams.

Douma:

Only works out enough to stay physically fit and attractive. Will make unnecessary comments to people at the gym, especially women. He always seems to weasel his way back into gyms after getting kicked out because of his smooth tongue. He spends a lot of time lounging around in the tightest shirts he can buy. Has been sponsored by workout brands for clothing and supplements for his charisma and pretty eyes. There is usually a spike in sales after Douma does a commercial or ad, so he's a highly coveted model.

Akaza:

Does a lot of calisthenics and weights. He will also sprint on treadmills but focuses on building upper and lower body muscle groups. Can do more pull-ups than any of the moons. Wears wife beaters and joggers, basketball shorts if he's going to be running on the treadmills. He's generally a good gym goer but tends to challenge other gym goers to competitions. Kyojuro is the only one who has kept up with him in a challenge. Akaza lives off of pre-workout and protein shakes. He is responsible for getting Douma kicked out of a couple gyms, and vice versa- neither of them can attend the same gym without it coming to a head eventually.

Hantengu:

Hantengu- is an old man who will go to the gym to stare at girls doing squats. He doesn't do much else, except biking on occasion.

Sekido- has gotten in trouble for slamming weights and yelling at his brothers in the gym. He spends most of his time with dumbbells and on the bench-pressing weights while grunting loudly. Only drinks pre-workout, and probably hasn't had a proper glass of water since starting at the gym. He will drag his brothers to the gym and then complain about them being there.

Karaku- is pretty well rounded at the gym, trying out new things and never really sticking to a specific plan. As long as he feels sore by the end, he doesn't care to target anything specific. He will loudly talk and conversate with other gym-goers, and there are actually a few gym employees who like chatting with him. Will eat or drink anything given to him.

Urogi- likes to do parkour and tends to enjoy cardio more than his brothers. He will also attempt to talk to other gym goers but will also nit-pick the way they workout while giving somewhat backhanded compliments. Likes pre-workout but will not drink protein shakes. Wears loose clothing like basketball shorts and oversized t-shirts.

Aizetsu- hates going to the gym and is always asking when they are leaving. He wears oversized hoodies and sweatpants, and exclusively does ellipticals and biking. He will do stretching if no one else is around. Strictly drinks water and tries to never make eye contact with anyone at the gym.

Zohakuten- Gets dragged along with his brothers to the gym even though he hates going. Thinks all of the women there are skanks no matter how they are dressed and makes no attempt to hide his contempt for others. He made a comment on Mitsuri at one point which mysteriously resulted in him accidentally eating a snack that contained peanuts and having an allergic reaction (they never found the culprit, but others have suspicions about a certain black-haired man who wears masks to the gym).

Gyokko:

Wears the weirdest clothes to the gym and is constantly muttering or having full-on conversations with himself/at people about art and the human body. He does very little exercise, stating he mainly comes to the gym for inspiration in his art. He hasn't caused any major trouble, so he hasn't been banned or kicked out, but people tend to avoid him at all costs as he gives a lot of them the creeps- men and women alike.

Daki:

She, like Mitsuri, wears cute matching sets to the gym, but they tend to be more revealing. Daki has also gotten a lot of modeling and ad contracts for workout brands, although her modeling career extends beyond the gym. Daki has been asked out no less than seventeen times while at the gym, all of which she declined. She spends a lot of time preening in the mirrors between sets, and judging people both in her head and out loud. She only drinks protein shakes that are sweet and makes Gyutaro mix them up for her.

Gyutaro:

He only attends the gym because Daki goes. His crippling self-esteem issues force him to wear dark oversized and baggy clothing. Gyutaro sticks to any machines that are inconspicuous and don't draw attention to himself. He has never once slammed his plates, afraid that it will make people look at him. The only time he is okay with people seeing him is when Daki is dealing with a persistent admirer, and she needs him to act as a physical barrier and guard dog. He will only drink energy drinks.

i'm back on my "all three of the tenmas are agender" shit (not here i just never shut up abt them in general) aka projecting onto my favs for several paragraphs

tsukasa fully thinks that he's doing Normal Cis Men Behavior for a long time. since a very young age he's been comfortable wearing traditionally feminine clothes and doing "girly" things, and he was never bothered by people saying that he was acting like a girl or anything similar. when he meets rui in highschool rui immediately is like "hmm. trans." because some of the stuff tsukasa says sounds exactly like the stuff rui used to say to himself before he found out he was nonbinary. so after they've known each other for a while rui starts asking tsukasa if he's ever thought abt his gender identity and tsukasa's like "oh I'm definitely cis but i've never really felt like a guy specifically i don't mind being called one but i also don't mind being called a girl really it doesn't matter" and rui is like "...what." lmao. anyways so tsukasa doesn't realize until one of his other siblings comes out to him, because he does a bunch of research so that he can be a good ally and then realizes all the descriptions sound a lot like him

saki realizes pretty young that she's not like Fully Girl but she likes to do feminine things and look like a girl so she must be at least a demigirl right? wrong! as she gets older she deattaches feminine things with actually being a girl, and she realizes that other than the way she presents she doesn't really feel like a girl at all. she asks the rest of leo/need to use they/them for her for a little bit and this really cements that she's agender in her mind since she likes that a lot. she starts using she/they for simplicity since she doesn't mind she/her and she presents very feminine. tsukasa is exceedingly shocked when she comes out and toya is just like "yeah that checks out"

toya has always kind of known? he's never really felt Like A Boy in the way that his parents wanted him to, and even when he was little he hated all the fancy masculine clothing he had to wear to piano recitals or anywhere else where he had to wear like a suit. when he starts to rebel against his parents originally, he breaks out of his bubble and sees all sorts of people and learns about all sorts of queer identities but none of them really fit him and he eventually comes to the conclusion that he just doesn't have a gender without knowing the term. eventually he looks it up and gets the official label but he doesn't really "come out to" anyone except the tenmas, everyone else he just tells if they ask

saki would be like “i think you’re agender too big brother!” and tsukasa would respond with “WHAT” before going “….wait that makes sense”

—HALLOWEEN TIME FOR THE MOTH GIRL

Notes : it ain't Halloween yet, But I wanted to write. Anyways, The POV switches from time to time.

It was Halloween! My Shoes tapped against the ground as I scurried over to Akuma to tell the girl the news.

I carefully walk over to her futon, Shaking her awake gently. She stirred at first, Not fully awake before her scarlet hues opened in a Adorable way.

“ Wifey..Wake up~ ” I spoke with a smile as she got up, Stretching her arms as she looked at me with those round, Hypnotic eyes.

“Why'd you wake me up... Mmhm...I was having a good dream,” The smaller girl huffed, As I twirled a strand of red hair around my finger. “Its Halloween, fire bug.”

“ Only Nii-san can call me that... ” Akuma said, Annoyed. She was Slipping out of bed. “Halloween? My brother really likes this holiday thingy, He always decorates, I was scared when I saw a funny ghost.” Akuma was just talking about the small decorations that kind of scared her a bit.

“Im going to ask Mama if we can go out— I wonder if nee-san would like candy, too.” Akuma said, stepping out as she leaned onto me, sleepy. “I'll get lots.”

“Hm? Come in.” Spider mother said As Akuma nearly bounced over to her, sitting onto her lap as she was writing something. “ Mama, can we go out and get some candy, Pretty please?” spider Mother nodded gently, Wanting Akuma to be happy.

“Be safe, Dear." Spider mother pecked Akuma's forehead gently, Akuma got out of mother's lap to walk over to me and gave me a thumbs up. “I wish you could sit in my lap like that,” I said with a smile. Akuma Didn't seem to hear and turned away. “Humans kinda taste better than candy..” She mumbled Softly.

Me a d Akuma headed to town, Just playing fun little games As it was Halloween, I won a few, But Akuma seemed ty be a athlete as she won a lot of them.

Akuma was already snoring into my shoulder, I was carrying her. I pecked her cheek with a smile, Humming.

Rui surely was going to kill me if he ever found out.

Tsukasa Tenma:

~ hes very loud and eccentric and multiple characters say he is annoying

~ He's an extremely loud theater kid who wants to be a world famous star. Anytime he's on screen he'll yell very loudly at least once. Most other characters have an 'oh... it's him.." moment whenever they see him. Others try (and fail) to avoid him so they don't get caught in his antics. He's a loser and the fandom loves him for it.

~ he's a theater kid who is 100% determined to become the Number 1 World Future Star!!! with absolutely zero volume control who is constantly screaming and laughing at the top of his lungs, to the point where you can hear him from pretty much anywhere in the school. several of his friends (who still love him) and random background characters talk about finding him annoying and intrusive at several points in the story. he's a genuinely really sweet guy who is mainly just putting up a front to hide his insecurities but also the man is constantly reciting a mantra that's just him telling you what his name means. also one time he tried to comfort a crying kid at a theme park by screaming his name at her in english (which he does not speak) and just wound up making her cry harder which tells you pretty much all you need to know

~ He is canonically so loud, like helicopter blades whirling levels of loud. He does not know when to shut up, and is just all around, annoying!!

~ generally very loud, overconfident, little self awareness of how silly he is. consistently found annoying by some characters (ie akito, nene, shiho) and can overwhelm others with his intensity at times

~ he is a very loud and slightly obnoxious theatre kid!! although he is a good person deep down, he's constantly bragging about becoming the world's greatest star. one of his close friends, kamishiro rui (not blonde), makes a lot of drones and robots and often brings them to school, causing quite a bit of chaos that tsukasa inevitably gets roped into. the two of them are referred to as the "weirdo wombo combo" (among other names, depending on the translation) and are found particularly annoying by the character shinonome akito, who mostly tolerates him just because they have a close mutual friend. outside of school, tsukasa works part time as a performer in a theme park, along with characters otori emu, kusanagi nene, and the aforementioned kamishiro rui. nene finds his antics very annoying, and regularly wears noise-canceling headphones just to drown out his voice. she also makes fun of him a lot, but it's all in good fun; they're actually very good friends. tsukasa can sometimes be annoyingly overprotective over his younger sister, saki, mostly because she has had health issues all her life and spent years in and out of the hospital. so although he means well, even she finds him annoying on occasion. not to mention he talks to himself, rehearses monologues, and paces around his room quite a lot. i love the guy but i'd hate to live in the same house as him too. most of this can be summed up by saying that he just gives off immense amounts of theatre kid energy, and if you've ever known a theatre kid during tech week or right after a show, you get somewhat of an idea of what tsukasa's peers have to deal with on a regular basis. and i love him dearly

~ He’s so loud and boisterous and cocky and dramatic that a decent chunk of the other characters actively describe him as annoying or loud. He’s a really good guy, he really is, he’s a great big brother and a nice dude, but unless you’re on his wavelength or a compatible wavelength, he’s completely fucking insufferable.

~ He is LOUD. SO VERY LOUD. The entire school he goes to knows who he is (maybe not by name, but as that-one-guy-who-never-stops-screaming) and will roll their eyes when they see him approach. He's a theater kid also if that wasn't bad enough. And stupid as hell. Ridiculous. I love him so much

~ He's extremely confident and almost always posing and/or screaming. Characters frequently comment on how loud or over the top he is and several characters make a point to try to avoid him when they see him out in public.

~ he's a loud, exuberant, overdramatic theater kid!!! 90% of the time he is shouting and loves to just strike poses whenever he can! tends to overreact and many many characters regard him as loud and annoying but he also has a really big heart and cares a lot about his loved ones and he also expresses that fact very VERY loudly. he's so STUPID (affectionate)

Sanji:

I really enjoy Zohakuten and Rui as a duo and I see absolutely nothing for them together so I decided to write a little something for them. It’s purely platonic and it’s set in the modern universe. TW, mentions of smoking, stress, bullying and also fighting and blood. Enjoy!

Zohakuten had awoken to his older brothers yelling at each other. He already woke up with a headache because of those losers and it made him want to bash his head into the wall.

“KARAKU. STOP PESTERING AIZETSU AND GET READY FOR SCHOOL.” He heard his oldest and msot annoying brother yell. That was Sekido for you. Always yelling and being an absolute pain in the ass.

Zohakuten climbed out of bed, grumbling and rubbing his eyes as he stumbled out into the hallway and try to ignore the crossfire. Urogi and Karaku were pushing his other brother, Aizetsu, around who looked like he was about to cry.

“Oi! You fucking idiots! Quit being assholes and leave Zetsu alone!” He yelled at them and his brothers immediately stopped.

“Morning, Zo.”

“Shut the fuck up, Karaku.”

“Someone’s in a mood~ What’s wrong? Have you started your man period-“ Zohakuten slammed the bathroom door in Karaku’s face and locked it so he could shower and wash his face in peace. After he was all clean and dried off, he brushed his teeth and fixed his unruly and messy hair. Zohakuten didn’t bother for appearances. Everyone at his school kinda excluded him since he was kinda aloof and very introverted…and people were also intimidated by him. So he didn’t exactly have any friends besides his brothers and they aren’t good friends.

He wrapped a towel around him and peaked out the door to see if the coast was clear. Thank God that it was. He went to his room to throw on his uniform. Zohakuten wanted to rub his temples and hit something in frustration because it seemed like he was growing and would need a new pair of shoes. They didn’t exactly have the best living situation and he also got into fights all the time so it didn’t help but put more stress on Sekido’s shoulders. Zohakuten can’t help that everyone wants to test him.

Zohakuten left his room, seeing that Aizetsu and Sekido were in the kitchen, making breakfast.

“Morning, Zohakuten.” Sekido greeted him in his usual grumpy tone, a cup of black coffee in his hand. He was scrambling eggs for them all.

“Good morning, Zoha.” Aizetsu quietly greeted him, watching the bacon sizzle.

“Morning…I think I’m just going to head out.” Zohakuten told the two.

“Without breakfast?!” Sekido looks shocked, furrowing his brows together, “At least take a piece of toast or something.”

“No, thanks,” Zohakuten grabbed his bags, slinging it over his shoulder, “Tell Urogi and Karaku that I said bye.” And he left midway when Sekido was yelling at him. Zohakuten was in his 2nd year of Junior High. He basically considers himself an adult already since he took care of himself after his mother passed away. Their dad was never in the picture. He always felt extreme guilt for their mother passing since she died giving birth to him. Aizetsu would always assure Zohakuten that it wasn’t his fault but whenever him and Sekido would argue, Sekido would use it against him. Zohakuten just shook his head, trying to get the hurtful thoughts out of his head.

Zohakuten and his quadruplet of brothers lived in the rundown part of town. There would be crimes everyday here and Sekido would always stress himself out. Sekido never would admit it out loud about how stressed he got but Zohakuten could smell the cigarette smoke on his older brother. He knows that Sekido smokes to relieve stress but he also knows that it is bad. He tried a cigarette and never wanted to do it again.

The walk to school was pretty long. It was quite the distance and was in a crime free and more kept up with part of town. He walked in and went to his locker to change his shoes. That’s when he noticed him.

A pale student with even paler hair and strange markings on his face and with the prettiest blue eyes. Zohakuten thought he kinda resembles a spider but the student didn’t seem to have any friends. He thought maybe this was his chance…nah, friends are overrated. He doesn’t need any friends! He huffs, slamming his locker shut and walking away from the new student.

He got to math first and that new student just seems to be haunting him because he was in that class! Zohakuten learned his name was Rui. Rui looked weak and fragile to him. Like his Grandpa, Urami before he passed away. Zohakuten couldn’t help but feel a twinge of jealousy watching Rui interact with a popular classmate, Senjuro.

Senjuro was loved by everyone. His brother was a teacher at the high school and everyone just seemed to love him. Senjuro is everything that Zohakuten wished he could be but he was not. He had a stable home life, parents, a good big brother and easily made friends with people.

Rui seemed happy to converse with Senjuro. Zohakuten thought it was funny how weak the two looked together. They had no one to protect them but themselves. It seemed like Rui was actually haunting him and it was literally concerning him to have this new kid in every single one of his classes.

He thought his eyes were pretty, though he was pale and looked like he was going to die any second. Zohakuten didn’t say anything. Lunch came around and Zohakuten never really ate. He didn’t have anyone to sit with so he skipped out on meals so he walked around the hallways. He wasn’t supposed to. He was actually going to head back until he heard shouting.

“Please! Don’t hurt me! I didn’t do anything!”

“Shut up! I don’t even know why you came here, you pathetic piece of trash!”

“Ouch! Please stop!” Zohakuten couldn’t help but let curiousity get the better of him so he went to investigate. Only to see Rui getting kicked by these two kids and them laughing.

“Give us your lunch money. Come on! Or are you so sickly that all of your parent’s money goes to you? Are you that much of a burden?” The other bully laughs, going to stomp on Rui’s face. That was until he got pushed.

“Hey! Who the hell do you- AHHH!” The other kid turned around to defend his friend only to get socked right in the nose.

“How rude of you two.” Zohakuten stood in front of Rui, “Bullying the weak. Truly how pathetic of you, awful, awful villians. You guys deserve nothing in the world.” The kid who got punched in the face was crying, clutching onto his bleeding nose. Rui was so surprised that he was getting help. Usually people just leave him be.

“Hey! How dare you hurt my friend!” The main bully’s friend lunged at Zohakuten again only to get kicked away and tackled to the ground. He didn’t really have much time to react to getting tackled to the ground because Zohakuten kept landing blow to blow to his face until he started crying just like his other friend. He still didn’t stop until Rui had yanked him off.

The two bullies were sobbing down, holding onto their faces.

“Now, you know better than to snitch, right? You just tell the teacher that you two fought each other or something if you know what’s good for you.” Zohakuten threatened them menacingly and the two just nodded and scurried off. Zohakuten grimaced at his knuckles which were bleeding. He was just going to walk off until he felt a tug on the hem of his uniform. He turned around to see Rui holding onto him.

“…Why did you help me?” Rui asks, his face scruffed up a bit and his uniform and hair a mess.

Zohakuten wrinkles his nose at the sight of Rui, “Because you are weak. You are nothing but weak. You can’t defend yourself at all. Be glad I even helped you out.” He rips his uniform away from Rui’s clutches only to get wrapped into a hug.

“Thank you…” Rui had muttered, locking Zohakuten in a tight embrace. He was embarrassed. He wasn’t used to such affection. He also wasn’t used to even having a…friend.

“I’m Rui…Let’s be friends.” Rui pulled away, giving Zohakuten the smallest of smiles and Zohakuten scoffed.

“I’m Zohakuten…and yeah…whatever…”

Reborn

Thoughts on their current face: Like, Average, Dislike Thoughts on humans: Like, Average, Dislike Can still use Dark Curse powers? Yes, No Thoughts on being reborn: Happy, Unhappy, Indifferent

Aoi is pretty much still processing the whole "being reborn" thing, hence their reactions to their new face and humans are along the lines of "it's ok, I guess." But they would eventually come to realise that they are genuinely grateful for being saved.

Aoi can no longer do the monster-creating, face-stealing part of their repertoire. Their magic from here on out is just the usual mage magic, but in a spooky, but harmless flavouring. It's a reason why they prefer the way of the sword instead. Luckily for them, Lema also knows his way around a weapon, and can at least teach them the basics during their travels together.

As for the alternate universe version of them that they look up to, it's Ymir. He is basically a Reborn who is in constant denial about being saved and his life having worth, and had to do the healing and redeeming all on his own. Also, he's from my little OC story-idea, and I just wanted to make a little cameo.

Ex-Dark Lord

Thoughts on HP Banana: Like, Average, Dislike Do they prefer their previous or current job? Previous (Factory worker), Current (New Lumos guard), Neither Mental strength: Strong, Average, Weak Actual personality: Good, Average, Bad

Rui's ok with HP Bananas. He even eats some when he's at work, haha. For his job, it's a little different because he's juggling between the old HP Banana worker one and the current New Lumos guard one. Obviously with that arrangement, he prefers neither and wants something better.

The best I can describe Rui is that he wants to be like Neo:Blood Mage from DFO so bad, but he cannot as he is just a regular person stuck supporting his brother and himself. The added irony is that Aoi actually does pull off the unhinged mage vibe better than he ever could, look no further to their Dark Lord act.

Rui's guard duty in New Lumos is more out of guilt and self-imposed penance. The monsters there seem to be too placid to ever try breaking out, no doubt thanks to Aoi's Curse influence weakening by the day. If nothing else, Rui gets to do some magic practice whenever he's there.

Also, Guardian really did ask Rana to go beat up a 20-year old lmao…... I'm sure all of the party members are older than him, too. So it goes with my OCs.

Great Sage

Do they know other magic than Cure-type spells? Yes, Sort Of, No Physical strength: Strong, Average, Weak Had a mentor in the past? Yes, No Thoughts on helping others: Like, Average, Indifferent

(First one was tricky to translate, but I think the gist was that it's asking if your Great Sage knows more kinds of magic than Cure/Cleric spells, like what's implied in-game.)

What else is there to say about Lema? Bnuuy. Your average prettyboy Sage. His father was his mentor on earth communion, Lema's other type of magic. This was what made the Darker Lord especially dangerous as he could now directly manipulate the environment. It's also how the Darker Lord made the Otherworld, by tearing a hole in the sky in a show of power.

It's also why his version of the Darkest Lord looks like a merging of him and the Otherworld/Darker Lord's Domain! It's the apex of Lema's specialty, but in the trappings of a final boss. (You gotta hand it to Aoi as the Dark Curse sometimes, they know how to pull off the villainous vibes regardless of their host, haha)

Lema can never compare to the iconic nature of Great Sage Yumil for me, but I still like how he turned out in the end.

Hero

Rana is pretty standard, the only thing that stands out from her is that in regards to fighting: she sees it as an unavoidable, sometimes necessary, part of life. It's just that her kind nature meant she would rather do anything else sometimes. Guardian Spirit is more of a guardian angel figure in my version, so she thinks positively of him.

(Who am I kidding, Guardian is pretty much Great Sage Yumil in a different role lmao)

I have been having so many thoughts about my anni/lily au my guy-

Basically, there are two kingdoms, one (the Tenma kingdom) says music should be used to emphasize the world's good, the other (the Shiraishi kingdom) says it should heal and acknowledge the bad, and they don't really like each others. The kids in the first (1st anni + Saki, Airi, Toya, Emu, Mizuki) are all connected to the royal court in some way, while those in the second (2nd anni + Shiho, Haruka, An, Nene, Ena) are connected to the Clockwork Museum, a place that preserves the arts.

Eventually, the kids in each group begin to interact across lines, and they begin to realize that they aren't so different. They try to push for the kingdoms to make amends, with...less than pretty results...

Hundreds of years later in what may or may not be another dimension, the group leaders are reincarnated into the regular prsk world as minor dieties (3rd anni cards) meant to help the groups, but they and their respective 2nd anni kid in their group begin to have memories of their previous lives.

Tsukasa is the crown prince of his kingdom, and is dead set on the idea that music should only be used to bring smiles, nothing else. His kingdom's beliefs leave him a bit stubborn, and make acknowledging when he himself feels negative things difficult. He is closest with Saki, his sister and more of a carefree royal, and Toya, the reluctant conductor for the royal symphony that's like a brother to him.

Rui is a lonely man that lives within the Clockwork Museum, a former actor who works to archive plays, alongside toys and robots, which he himself makes at times. He used to do shows alongside Nene, a songstress with a magical voice, but they drifted apart over time.

Tsukasa eventually stumbles across the Museum for plot reasons I've yet to figure out, and he is appalled by it at first. How could songs about sad things be helpful? Rui is a bit turned off by Tsukasa's stubborn nature and closed-mindedness at first as well, but as they end up spending more time together they start to like and respect each other more. Tsukasa helps Rui see his own worth and reach out to others more, and Rui helps Tsukasa be more in touch with his emotions and improve himself as a ruler and musician.

Eventually, they and the others try working to bring the two kingdoms together as they realize their similarities, but this leads to basically a bounty against these twenty newly-wanted criminals, even when a lot of them were royalty, celebrities, artisans, everything. The two of them end up in the courtyard of Tsukasa's castle, smoke hanging in the air, aware that they will be executed soon, and they decide to spend their last moments ballroom dancing to a music box Rui had made for them before things got so difficult, tears falling down their faces, not only from fear, but from content that they were able to die together.

Tsukasa Tenma is a god of happiness, blessed with powers perfect for shows such as telekinesis and element manipulation. He initially starts out simply helping a pair of sibling pianists smile, before finding a girl trying to start a theater troupe to save a struggling stage.

As she and Tsukasa work to find members, he comes across inventor and performer Rui, the two instantly finding themselves drawn to each other, not only because of their abilities, but because of the fuzzy memories that appear in their minds after they meet.

Sorry for taking so long! I had to think hard about this! (I was also talking about this with @mystwrites , so!)

(Some data is inspired by their BDA- and how they would use it to tickle)

1. Enmu (LowerMoon 1):

💤 Ler: 60% - Lee: 40%

💤 Worst spots: Hips, armpits, sides, knees and calves

💤 Like almost most kizuki, he loves to be tickled.

💤 His favorite lee is Rui. Although he knows that after Rui has rested, he will be tied with his nets and will suffer Rui's revenge.

💤 Give his hips a jab and he'll scream. But if he's off guard enough, he'll jump too

💤 He doesn't mind accepting that he loves being tickled, but he also has a limit that he would like others to respect. But judging by how he acts with them when tickling them, he doesn't always succeed.

💤 He loves to put some to sleep and give them a dream in which they are tickled. He hasn't told them, but the kizuki have noticed and chased him to scold him.

💤 He also usually does the above with himself. Rui and Douma are the only ones to know.

💤 If you tickle his armpits, he will fall to the floor and start laughing and rolling around while kicking and putting his hands on his belly.

2. Rui (LowerMoon 5):

🕸️ Worst spots: Neck, belly, belly button and toes

🕸️ Rui is definitely equal to a child, we could even say that he is more ticklish than Akaza

🕸️ He doesn't mind being tickled, it always encourages him and he feels free because during those moments he doesn't have to worry about his 'family'

🕸️ But you do have to respect when it is enough for him, otherwise he will cut you with his strings and leave angry from there.

🕸️ He trusts Akaza, he is like an older brother to him. That's why he almost always sits on his lap and says 'tickle me!'

🕸️ His BDA helps him a lot when he wants to get revenge or just bother someone for a while UpperMoon

🕸️ He is quite skilled and precise in his movements. If he tickles you somewhere and you show him your sensitivity, he will immediately stay there until he decides to change places or stop.

🕸️ He likes to play at hunting his victims, usually Akaza, Enmu or Douma his victims.

🕸️ His lers constantly are: Daki, Douma, Akaza and Enmu. Also Muzan but he rarely does it

3. Kaigaku (New UpperMoon 6):

⚡ Worst spots: Armpits, thights and neck

⚡ He is someone difficult to catch. You have to be faster or smarter than him

⚡He hates them. He will curse you and hit you if you try to tickle him anywhere else that doesn't make him squeal.

⚡ He can't say 'tickle'. He will always be referred to as 't-word'

⚡ His constant ler is Kokushibo. He hates that his sensei justifies himself with 'it's part of the training session'

⚡ If you manage to tickle his armpits, you are guaranteed victory. He will be unable to defend himself because he will be too busy cursing you.

⚡ It's pretty easy to make fun of him or get him to raise his arms. It is enough to tell him: You are probably not as good as you think, to make him angry and expose his worst spot

⚡ He hates them, but blushes and squeals easily when they tickle him.

4. Daki (Former UpperMoon 6):

🎀 Ler: 65% - Lee: 35%

🎀 Worst spots: Waist, sides, hips and thighs

🎀 Daki still has the mentality of a little girl, so it's easy to tickle her.

🎀 She doesn't hate them, she just hates screaming and looking so weak in front of the other UpperMoons

🎀 Her obi is her best weapon. She usually holds her victims' wrists, ankles or waist and lets her nails do the rest of the work.

🎀 I think it's obvious who tickles her the most. Gyutaro is always 'bothering' Daki and tickling her when she is talking to Muzan or doing something important.

🎀 She allows only Douma, Gyutaro, Rui, and Enmu to tickle her. Also to Akaza but he doesn't do it since he considers it a lack of respect towards her.

5. Gyutaro (Former UpperMoon 6):

☠️ Ler: 85% - Lee: 15%

☠️ Worst spots: Neck, lower ribs, behind his knees and knees

☠️ Daki is the only one who used to know that Gyutaro was ticklish until she was so angry with him that she ended up confessing to Douma about it.

☠️ He only allows Daki, Douma and Rui to tickle him. He still has a hard time accepting Enmu, but he doesn't hate him, he sees him as another little brother.

🐟 Is it a ler? Yup, Gyokko is an expert at that, it's not for nothing that he has multiple arms

🐟 Does his BDA help him? It definitely does, he can lock you in one of his vases and torture you by suffocating you with your own laughter.

🐟 He thinks that dying asphyxiated by laughter is a very little-known but quite intriguing expression. He knows no mercy in using hunters to get these 'works of art'

🐟 The UpperMoons hate that BDA, it's quite tedious, but they prefer that to touching it (then they can smell fishy and they don't like that idea 🤣)

7. Nakime (New UpperMoon 4):

🪕 Ler: 0% - Lee: 0%

🪕 Don't try to tickle her, you will completely regret doing it

🪕 Nakime hates physical contact and always stays away from people.

🪕 If someone tries to get into her business she will do 2 things: Either she will hit you with her biwa or she will make you fall all over the infinite fortress and try to crush you.

🪕 Nakime could be ticklish? It is probable

8. Hantengu (Former UpperMoon 4):

😰 Ler: 0% - Lee: 0%

😰 Ok, if I'm honest, I don't think the original version of Hantengu is ticklish. But their clones are another story

😡 Sekido: (Ler: 60% / Lee: 40%)

😡 Worst spots: Knees, armpits and calves

😡 If you try it, you'll probably regret it.

😡 He HATES them with all his soul

😡 If you manage, by sheer luck, to tickle him. Start running and begging because he won't rest until he makes you pay for your lack of respect.

🥋 Don't let him fool you, he can curse you, scream, ask you to stop during the first seconds, but he LIES

🥋 He hates it when someone discovers his 'taste' and his first instinct is to hit her/him or hit them or rip their head off (Douma)

🥋 Blushes and gets embarrassed easily when someone makes fun of him

🥋 He only has certain people he allows to tickle him. They are: Rui, Enmu, Daki, Gyutaro, Kokushibo and Douma (he hates to admit it but he enjoys his presence)

🥋 He's going to huff and puff almost the entire session. He may also growl and, if you're not careful, bite or kick you (be careful).

🥋 He pretends to hate them but LOVES raspberries, especially on his tummy and neck.

10. Douma (UpperMoon 2):

❄️ Douma is definitely the one that takes the position of 'ler' among the UpperMoons

❄️ Douma always takes advantage of the fact that he has long nails to behave like complete shit towards his victims.

❄️ You're not going to fool him with 'I'm happy now!'. He won't stop until he has you crying or screaming on the floor.

❄️ His BDA is always helping him. If he is prohibited from approaching anyone, which is mostly Akaza, he will create miniatures of himself that he will send to tickle his victim.

❄️ Do you try to escape from him? He will freeze the floor and make you slip and fall until he gets closer to you

❄️ Baby talk. He's not going to waste the opportunity to remind you how vulnerable you are to him, he'll make fun of you so much that it will make the tickling completely worse.

11: Kokushibo (UpperMoon 1):

🌙 Ler: 65% - Lee: 35%

🌙 Worst spots: Neck, back, back ribs, knees and hands

🌙 It's not easy to knock him down, don't try to get close to him and try to tickle him

🌙 He won't refuse to be tickled, but you must ask for permission to do so.

🌙 He has a love/hate for back rubs. It usually tickles him but he is good at hiding his reactions.

🌙 If you tickle him without his permission, he won't let go until you pass out or he's satisfied with his revenge.

🌙 Douma and Akaza are the only ones who know, but his hands are also ticklish. Just gently tickle him there and he will be laughing and asking you to stop (he hates attention)

🌙 He has already admitted that he likes tickling. So he can't say 'I hate them'

I completely understand the hype over ai di, how can you not love the murderous bunny?

Look at him, he is so adorable but will kill you without any hesitation. Also, he is such a good friend. So affectionate!

Also props to whoever was syling ai di- the boy is so pretty with blond hair and colourful clothing.

Chen yi you say you see ai di as your brother and then kiss him. The hell? Boy who are you trying to fool.

The gorls

Saki and Nene obviously know each other through tsukasa and Emu and become close that way

Saki is just a really cute and friendly girl, it wasn't long before Nene started crushing on her :3

Wondershow wing manned SO hard for Nene it is unreal. Tsukasa just casually mentioning to saki that she has a ticket to go with Nene to the movies but he's just so busy that day, would you mind going in my place?

Emu talking about how super wonderhoy and awesome Nene is and how Nene wants to be friends with her, hey you should listen to nene's voice it's super pretty-

Rui constantly showing off nenes skills and talents to impress saki, And being like "you know Nene would delighted to answer your questions" all that jazz and Nene is so ready she's gonna do it, she's gonna confess-

Saki does it first. Goes up to her and just tells her she likes her. Nene is dying dead gone/j

She very eagerly accepts and then they hold hands hug maybe a little kiss on the cheek

Nene visits miyajou sometimes (legally. Waiting by the front entrance) and everyone is wondering why the kamikou girl is standing there and then saki runs towards her for a hug and theyre like "oh. Sick"

Honaemu saki Nene double dates. Honami and Nene look at each other and back at their respective partners and think "oh we have the same type"

Saki is HUGE on pda, and Nene doesn't mind it (with Emu she's become used to it) but she still gets super flustered whenever saki does anything affection to her. Saki thinks it's adorable :D

Saki looooves doing Nene's hair, it's so soft and fluffy... She's could run fingers through them forever! Nene is not immune to tenma hands and falls asleep every time she does this ..

Saki teaches Nene to play piano! It's a nice bonding activity for them and saki gets to get all the kisses she wants as payment<3

Expanding on that last one, saki uses every excuse in the book to kiss Nene (who is dying(/j) btw). Oooh you improved on that part from last time? That's so good that deserves a lil smooch. You positioned your hands on the keys correctly? Wonderful, a kiss is needed to appreciate you hard work <3 nene is red-faced and dead on the ground after every lesson and saki walks away with a smile on her face

Tsukasa is so happy that two of his favorite people are together!! Nene has the creeping realization that tsukasa is going to be her brother in law. And the the even more embarrassing realization that she doesn't mind much at all

Leo/need is ecstatic to hear the news and ichika in particular is suuuper happy for them, Nene is a very kind girl and saki will be in good hands with her :3

Taking care of you when you're sick

Tenma Tsukasa

He's a reliable older brother, often taking care of Saki whenever she fell ill or was hospitalized. Hes also dealt with some fevers and diseases of his own, so he can quite dependable. The second Tsukasa learned you fell ill, he was quick on his feet to check up on you.

He can be a little overbearing at times, his loud and spontaneous nature never quite ceasing but he truly has the best of intentions at heart.

Checks up on you at very moment that present itself. Due to his rather hectic schedule, he isn't able to visit as often as he wishes but when he does come over he tries to keep you as relax and entertained as possible, being bed-ridden all day is no fun- he'll prop up a chair beside your bed and keep you company while also keeping account that you are getting enough rest

He follows the doctors orders to a tee, if you're suppose to be getting rest then that is what Tsukasa will ensure. Even when you fuss and kick out your legs, he doesn't budge. But if you truly need to get out of bed then he will intertwine his hand with yours, making sure you don't fall over as he leads you to the bathroom or your location of choice

Whenever he does vist you he always comes bearing some form of gift. It can be as little as some boxes of tissues or some lunch, mainly accompanied by a bottle of water.

Holds your hand a lot, it's the simplest form of affection he can do without risking getting sick himself.

On the inside however, he is greatly worried. He wants to be updated with every new symptom you get or if your condition becomes worse.

Kamishiro Rui

Rui has a keen eye on things, more so if it happens to interest him. As his partner he has become rather observant towards your body language, noting your sluggish momovents and droopy shoulders. So he was able to tell very early on that you were falling ill

Checks on you at every moment he gets. Even skips some rehearsals in order to tend to you, but he pays little mind to that or Tsukasa's scolds.

Pretty good at making sure you're taking your daily medicine at the appropriate times. Might even scribble down the information as a reminder for himself and sends you texts in case you've forgotten

Like Tsukasa, he makes sure that you are taking care of yourself and getting proper rest. All your attempts to get out of bed are met with a hand gently pressing down on your chest. If you're stubborn enough you may just be able to convince him to go outside for some fresh air. And while you are taking in the cool breeze, Rui takes note of any discomfort you may be experiencing- quickly ushering you to bed when he picks up on any.

He pushes your rooms window curtains aside to allow some sunlight to seep in. It's gives a much more positive atmosphere than before

Rubs comforting shapes on your back when you get a painful stomachache, headache or any other intense pains.

Great at taking your mind off it. He could ramble off endlessly for hours about his ideas of inventions. His tangents can leave you forgetting about all the icky feelings crawling on your skin, his voice lulling you to sleep at the end. And as your about to fall alseep, he beings your hand to his lips, pressing a gentle kiss to the palms- his way of saying 'goodnight'

Otori Emu

For once you can see her usually cheery face turn into one of worry. For Emu, she deeply cares about those who accept her for who she is. And as her partner, she has a higher adoration for you and seeing you ill worries her- but for your sake she's attempts to keep the atmosphere as cheery as possible

She crafts you one of those 'get better soon' cards. Plastered in lots of glitter, with little chocolates taped on the cover

Like Rui, she visits you at whatever chance she gets, spending that time to keep you company. She even brings some pillows and a blanket for herself; resting on the chair beside your bed whilst you get some sleep as well.

When she visits she usually brings a peice of decoration for your room. Mainly that of a vase of tulips or daisies for your bedside table, or a little poster to add some color to the room.

She's also someone who opens the window curtains and props the window open to allow both sunlight and cool wind to swept through. Even when you fuss, Emu encourages you to take in some of the fresh air.

Emu manages to keep you happy with her spontaneous nature, even willing to cuddle with you for few minutes. Her hugs feel tight with her cheek rubbing against your own- mostly leads to the both of you passing out(she may become sick as result). And when you are about to fall asleep you may notice her tune down the volume of her voice not wanting to wake you.

Despite being sick, she brings you some sweets to drown away the ickyness your body is feeling. Its not too sugary but rather like a pinch of sugar to help the medicine go down.

Plays with your hair a lot, curling her fingers through the locks and using it as a distraction whenever you feel intense pains

It is also in the moments when you are asleep that Emu feels her heart squeeze in her chest

Kusanagi Nene

Nene knows how to take of herself but no so much when taking care of others. She is however, a fast learner and becomes very dependable whenever you fall ill- though in her mind, she believes she isn't helping much

Whenever she checks up on you, she usually carries snacks with her, many falling under your favorite types. Some are sugary, others are packed in nutrients. And on some very rare occasions, Nene will even bring you a canister of soup she made herself. Albeit it's not the best thing she has ever cooked, but it's easy on the stomach

When she visits, she distracts you from the ickyness by playing games together or watching a musical. And every moment she finds your glass of water empty, she wordlessly goes to refill it

When Nene is unable to vist you, she resorts to texting you. The text, 'how are you feeling?' Or 'Want me to being you anything' appearing on your notifications whenever she thinks of you randomly

If you happen to fall asleep whenever she comes over, she gently tuck the blanket over your form while putting away your things and tidying up a bit to reduce your workload even if it's by a little bit

Hums a lot. Especially after you had fallen asleep, Nene sings or hums a little tune under her breath. She gets incredibly shy if you catch her though. But seeing as you are sick, she'll attempt to push away her shyness for a few minutes just for you

No, really. Takuya might be the epitome of chaos and disorder, but he's at least GOOD at babysitting. He was the one to take care of Tomoki pretty well compared to the rest of the Frontier group (yeah, sorry folks.)

Masaru is a good brother and had been helping to raise Chika in the place of their father, he helped his mom at home and possibly helped Chika against bullies. He's an excellent brother and i take no criticism.

Daisuke might look like the best candidate for the lowest rank (lol), but he's pretty good with digimon babies. He has a soft side, and he had been raising Chibimon/V-mon since he was 10-11 years old. Besides the ep that makes me keep pinning him as the "mentor" role is episode 24, in which Miyako leaves him to take care of the baby digimon while they keep the repairs in that town (and because he couldn't evolve V-mon because of Arukenimon being around and when she's around she can activate the Dark Towers.)

Taiki is a quick learner and there's nothing Kudou Taiki cannot do. I know this makes people hate Taiki, but that's also his flaw as well (in the sense that he will learn everything and this might make others take advantage of his abilities)

The Taichis are excellent brothers to their Hikaris, so I don't want to think they're BAD at it.

And Hiro is also a good big bro. Those who watched GG knows it very well. The MVP of babysitting.

With those ones left... we only have Takato, Haru and Tagiru.

As much i love those three, they don't seem to be adequate for the job. Honestly, Takato is a nice kid but he had trouble training and raising Guilmon at first as i remember correctly? Anyway, he struggled hard with it. I'd not put him at the LOWEST rank, because... yeah.

Haru and Tagiru are not that bad in my opinion, they're just two types of "not a good option", but I do admit they're like Takato for me, so there's also NOT RANKING LOW??

So Takato, Haru and Tagiru might not be the best option BUT uh, in the absence of the other options, you can count with them.

BUT THE ONE WHO IS REALLY BAD AT THIS...

Sorry folks. I think he will take a while to finally get into babysitting and raising a digimon or taking care of a child. He's soft and gentle, but he's definitely not experienced and there's the problem that he's non-confrontational and too chill for a job that requires to also be able to tell kids to NOT do something dumb and yeah. He needs to learn with his boyfriend Daisuke & the others first.

Akito Shinonome

When Akito first met you, he knew he’s seen you somewhere before. He just couldn’t put his finger on it, but knew you were a familiar face. It wasn’t until one fateful day Ena woke up earlier than usual and put something on the family TV.

He recognized your face instantly, and everything fell into place. ‘You looked so familiar because Ena would watch you all the time on TV.’

A scoff escaped the ginger’s lips, how could he forget that? Although, you have changed quite a bit since you stopped appearing on the show. The version of you practicing on the television now is so tiny compared to who you are now. Both mentally and physically.

“You’ve been a little too interested in Dance Moms Akito, you feeling okay?” Ena said teasingly. It’s not often she saw her brother paying attention to something like that.

“I’m fine. Hey- does it really matter what I watch and don’t watch?” Ena laughed at his remark, brushing him off and sending him to the Cheesecake shop they both like to pick a slice up for her.

The younger rolled his eyes in annoyance at her request, but did so anyway. At least he could get a slice for himself.

The walk was just like any other, gripping the money tightly in his pocket and only focusing on his destination. Well, that was Akito’s main focus. Coincidentally, he just so happened to see your face in the crowd. It took him a moment to recognize that it was the current you. After all, he just finished watching your younger self on an old show.

There was a silent debate in his head on whether he should go up to you or not. ‘Wouldn’t that be creepy?’ He thought. But it’s not like he’s a stranger to you… you couldn’t mind too much, right? Before he could finish the debate, the boy found himself walking your way already.

“Oh, Akito? I didn’t know you came around these parts. What’s up?” The small smile on your face felt a little forced, but Akito paid no mind to it.

“I could say the same to you, I didn’t think someone like you would come to such a crowded area.”

His words rang in your head a bit, ‘someone like me?’ You thought. While you didn’t want to acknowledge it, you knew what he was talking about. ‘I guess I can’t keep it a secret for too long to anyone.’

“Oh well you know, it’s been so long since I dropped out the show. Not many people recognize me anymore. Which actually, I’m pretty grateful for.” You said. While you liked the attention for a bit, it got overwhelming fast. Learning how to keep up with fake fronts to strangers was exhausting, though Akito didn’t seem to mind the natural you.

“Yeah, I only realized it was you when my sister put one of your episodes on earlier. But it’s cool, you’re still (Name) at the end of the day.”

Something about his words were comforting. At the end of the day, you were just a regular person. It felt nice to have someone acknowledge that without putting you on a pedestal.

“Hey, where were you heading?” You asked. Partly out of genuine curiosity, and partly out of wishful thinking. Maybe you can tag along with him.

“The bakery, I’m picking up some cheesecake for me and my sister. She sends me on these errands a lot.” He scratched the back of his head a bit. One thing you both had in common? Keeping up a fake appearance in front of certain people.

“Oh, I know the bakery your talking about, I love it there! Can I come with you, perhaps?” Honestly, you just wanted to get out of the crowded plaza. Otherwise if someone recognized you here, you’d be too exhausted to do anything for the rest of the day.

Akito didn’t mind one bit. He sensed some desperation in your voice, and assumed what you were thinking. There was a mutual understanding that both of you were trying to make yourselves look good right now.

He wouldn’t mind getting to know the other side of your personality a lot better.

Toya Aoyagi

Toya wouldn’t have known who you were until An pointed it out. He wasn’t aloud much television or internet access as a kid, and when he was, it was always monitored. So to say he was clueless would be an understatement.

It didn’t help that An was so casual about it, just casually saying;

“You see that student? They were on this show I used to watch as a kid, Dance Moms, isn’t it so cool she goes to our school?”

When Toya hears this, he thinks it might have been an idol show, and you were a former idol. It wouldn’t be anything new for An to be so normal about being acquainted with a popular figure. The dual hair boy let his curiosity get the best of him and looked up this… “Dance Moms.”

He only watched the episodes you were in, trying to understand where your coming from and what made you so special. Though when he finished, he felt more worried about you than he’d have liked.

Watching you get screamed at over messing up precise steps, seeing you get belittled to put other dancers up, it looked traumatic. He could understand why you dropped out of the show, the experience didn’t seem like a pleasant one.

The next day, seeing you in the halls felt… different. He just watched a big chunk of your childhood, and now he has to act like he doesn’t know a thing about you. Surely you wouldn’t like to be talked to cause you were on such a exploiting show as a kid? With each passing period, he noticed you more and more.

But seeing you alone throughout the day made the boy feel bad. Did you choose to be alone? Did others avoid you because of how they watched you get screamed at so much as a kid? He wasn’t sure. But he was sure something in him made him take a seat next to you on a bench.

The silence was awkward and the tension felt thick. ‘I definitely should have thought this through.’ He thinks. He clears his throat, getting ready to speak before you ended up speaking first.

“What do you want? Come here to tell me how bad of a dancer I was on that show?” Your voice was laced with disgust, emphasizing that disgust even more when you mentioned “that show.”

While Toya was no expert on dancing, he knew that your dancing wasn’t bad at all. Sure, you might have screwed up a few moves. But didn’t everyone? Yours just so happened to get more shunned than any others did.

“No, actually. I’ve seen you alone a lot, and everyone could use some company.” He said sincerely. He knew bringing up your status wasn’t a good idea, and avoided mentioning it. You appreciated that, but only a bit.

You looked frustrated. ‘Why would you be frustrated?’ He thinks to himself. He would understand being upset, or even a bit annoyed. But frustration felt like an odd emotion to feel in this situation. To him, at least.

“You’re just going to try and get close to me, get a little bit popular, and leave with that popularity. That’s what they all do, I assume you’re no different from them. Maybe your double colored hair represents how two faced you are.” That’s a bold claim…

He began piecing the puzzle together. You were always alone because you distanced yourself from everyone, and you had a fear. It made sense now, the fear of being used was a scary one to him. At the same time, he wants you to see having real friends is important, much better than being alone.

“In that case, could I prove to you I’m not… ‘two-faced’?” He asked. You almost choked on your spit at that. Why would he want to prove anything to you?

“If you try hard enough, maybe. I can’t be fooled easily by whatever your going to do.” There was a trace of amusement in your voice, as if this was the first time you’ve heard a funny joke. But with that amusement also came bitterness.

Toya made a pact with himself, and a silent pact with you. He would do whatever it took to show you having friends isn’t so bad, as long as you find the real ones. And he’s okay with being your first real friend.

Rui Kamishiro

Rui was sure he was mistaken. Someone so talented- popular- someone with such a clean reputation… wants to be with him? He couldn’t believe it.

For a moment, he thought of putting distance between the two of you. Someone like you shouldn’t be around someone like him. People would surely get the wrong idea, and then you’d lose everything. He didn’t want that for you, not at all.

The best way to avoid that outcome?

Distancing himself.

The tall alchemist almost felt like he was in junior high again. The way he pushed you away was all too familiar to the way he pushed Nene away, and he hated it. But, this was for your own good.

At least, that’s what he wanted to believe.

He found it difficult to keep you away. After class ends, you’re always running up to him with lit up eyes. It was a subtle part of his day that he didn’t realize he loved so much, he missed it.

Now he had to ignore that light and walk directly to the next class. It hurt, but he paid no mind to it. You were probably doing just as well, if not, better, without him.

Though that wasn’t the case at all.

In your eyes, Rui had left you alone in the dark. There was no explanation for the sudden cut off, there was no sign of it beforehand. It had you running in circles in your mind. ‘What could I have possibly done?’ You thought.

You attempted to confront him, multiple times in fact. But every time he sees you, he scurries away hastily. Apart of you wanted to slap him across the face, but the other part just wanted to break down in front of him and beg for an explanation.

You two were practically best friends before all this. He helped you out of being crowded by old fans and was like a bodyguard at times. Rui never cared about the person you used to be, he only cared about the person you are now. It meant a lot to you.

But now it seems he’s forgotten all about that.

You needed to corner him if you wanted an explanation. He had to be alone with no excuse to just “go away.” You just had to catch him at that perfect time. Even if it takes awhile, you’ll wait as long as you need for him.

A few days went by with 0 luck. The only time you saw an opening, he started messing with two underclassmen. One looked like he was about to snap Rui’s neck while the other was keeping him from doing so. It was an amusing sight, and you were happy to see Rui in his element. Even if you wish those two underclassmen went another way.

Making your way to the vending machines, you spotted the familiar purple haired boy fiddling with the buttons. A look of irritation plastered on his face as he begins to shake the machine from the sides.

‘Ah, something must have gotten stuck.’ You thought. This wasn’t an opportunity you could miss, it was too good. You walk up to Rui and the vending machine, helping him shake it a bit more vigorously before the soda candy finally dropped. He bent down to open the slot and retrieve his snack, and then turned to you.

“Why thank… you..” A face of realization flashed across his face. ‘Theres no way out of this one.’ He thought.

“Rui.”

“(Name)…”

Rui looked at everything except you, trying his hardest not to crack open. What could you possibly want from him that’ll put your reputation at risk?

“Can you tell me? Tell me what I did. You stopped talking to me out of no where, and keep avoiding me! Do you have any idea how hard I’ve been trying to talk to you?” Your voice cracked a bit. There was a deep sense of desperation in your voice that only a fool could miss, and Rui was no fool.

“I just thought you’d be better without me (Name). You’re talented, beautiful, and most of all, a good person. If people see you with me they’re going to think you’re a weirdo like me.” He never realized how dumb his idea sounded until he said it out loud. He wanted to distance himself because you were more important than him? ‘Pathetic of me…’ he thinks.

A silence coated the two of you, and the last thing you wanted was to indulge in it. This whole time… he was avoiding you because of your reputation? Because he didn’t want to ruin your reputation just by being around you? You wanted to laugh.

“I hope you know how happy I am being your friend. You don’t water me down to “a previous dancer on television” and you never did. I always appreciated that and I just- I just want to keep being with you Rui.” This time you couldn’t stop the voice cracks, or the lone tears falling down your cheeks.

Like all the times before, Rui pulled down his sleeve and wiped your tears. His gesture made your heart melt like it always did. He couldn’t stand seeing you cry, it was only worse you were crying because of him.

“I’m sorry (Name), if I had known… I would have stayed with you. I won’t let a mistake like this happen again, I promise.” His tone was sincere and gentle. His hands still on your cheeks from wiping your tears, it was a moment you could stay in forever.

But you weren’t going to forget what he did that easily, no matter the reason. You pulled away and punched his shoulder a little harsher than intended. He yelped in brief pain, clutching his shoulder.

“What was that for??!” He nearly laughed, but refused to give you the reaction you wanted.

“That was for leaving me in the dust for days! Do it again, and it’ll be worse.”

Rui didn’t wanna know what that meant, and deepened the promise he made in his head SK he would certainly never do that again.

Despite the stinging pain he felt, he smiled.
