I think whether you’re supportive or not regarding how Chloe ended up in Revolution depends on whether you think having a support system is something that should be earned.
I mean, that might be one aspect of it?
There's a LOT of baggage regarding the end of S5, and not just the finalé. Smack dab in the middle of *Monarch having all the miraculous and that being very serious* and *There are senti-people and they matter* plots, they shoehorn in a ridiculous mean-girl plot that breaks even the very broad suspension of disbelief that the show is given being a superhero kids show.
More than anything it all comes off as forced and performative. 'We have to wrap this up and so we are, but we're not actually building on anything we're just plopping it into place, and spending a LONG TIME on it.'
It has a very different feel than even previous mean girl eps from previous seasons. Before they were comedic. Chhloé is being ridiculous, and she gets some kind of minor comeuppance, and folks laugh, and it works. This time, it's just... awkward. Everything feels mean spirited, not just Chloé's behavior, but the entire framing of the episodes. We don't get Chloé all messy on the street after turning down Kim harshly. We don't get her being chased by a giant hair dryer after being a jerk to Nate. We don't get her zooming around Paris in a flying car zapping people into bananas.
We just get this spiral down into a bad ending and all people do is stand around and say 'Well, you know we tried one thing that that one thing didn't work, so I guess there's nothing we can do' like, this is the worst magical girl/hero protagonist ensemble ever if you take that at face value. It's just so very strange.
All this just to say, by the end, if you're happy with the way Chloé's story wrapped up in Revolution, I don't think it has to do with support structures, I think it has to do with spite. I think it has to do with projecting some person in your life onto Chloé and getting vicarious, unhealthy, revenge.
There's no scenario where anyone actually seeking justice, positivity, or a basic common good can look at an outcome that involves protracted psychological abuse of a child and think 'That is what should have happened.'

btw the french word for panties is "culotte" so when ladybug was trapped in the cage and the lucky charm disappeared it meant they were now "sans culotte" (literally "without panties", and also the name of 1789 french revolutionaries) which means the only way to get out was with the help of a revolution coming from the people

After years of Adrien being called 'perfect' for being someone else's ideal, groomed to fit an image - and Ladybug calling Cat Walker 'perfect' because again he was playing a part - we got Ladybug calling Cat Noir 'perfect'. What I love about it is that she was saying he was perfect for being IMPERFECT...for simply being himself. It was total acceptance.

i totally get how season 5 isn't everyone's cup of tea and that's totally fair and i understand!! however. i just can't relate because this is just so balls to the walls crazy that i am so endlessly entertained
lila stole all of the agreste lore from nathalie and also has been wearing a wig this entire time. felix snapped the entirety of earth away. chloe became the fucking mayor and then had an emotional breakdown sobbing alone when she lost it. kagami and felix having a random cringe (/positive) whirlwind romance like the two sheltered awkward teens they are. adrien and marinette kissing on the steps of a private jet in a dramatic emotional moment. ADRIEN had the coveted chat blanc nightmare in a sandboy adjacent akuma. adrien just is Cursed with endless nightmares now (and rose and juleka????) and lives in a sensory deprivation chamber. marinette knows all the senti lore now and was told via the most theater-kid interpretive perfomance art hallucination ever?????????
and i am LIVING for all of it. i am SO ENTERTAINED.

Okay but???? Marinette was shown Adrien’s real life story. And Gabriel. Who had the peacock miraculous and used it and offered it to Felix’s “father”.
There’s Monarch’s identity right there. They gave her the key and she’s more determined than ever.
