I'm not gonna lie, when Despair of the Endless appeared in DBD, it was a bloody weird feeling because... I don't know Sandman, and it was a teeny tiny peek into this fucking massive universe that so many people adore and I was just looking through the peephole. I know DBD is part of it, but like.

I don't know how to describe it. It was kind of like standing in an endless ocean (I'm hilarious, yes) and feeling so very, very small.

I am watching dead boy detectives on repeat since it premiered.

And after watching it for hours.. every time Netflix is interrupting and asking me if I am still watching dead boy detectives ..

YES @netflix I am still watching until you announce season 2 (preferably season 3 & 4 on top. 💁🏼‍♀️)

Everybody’s talking about Edwin and his gaypanic reaction….like Charles hasn’t got gaypanic?

Sorry but…am I the only one seeing this?

Sweet sweet Charles sticks to Edwin the 1st second he’s dead and for like 30 years…(1) guarding Edward like his eyeball (2) sizes Edwin up (always a second too long) (3) and says flirty things like „that’s sounds a lot like you…oh wait maby that’s why I like her so much…“ (4) by every chance he gets….

And at the moment Edwin is getting serious he steps back and says he „can’t“…not „he don’t“ or „don’t want“…just „he can’t“. Like obviously poor little Charles is traumatized by his father and his „just quiet“ mother and his way he died. Never had the chance to really get this out of his system. That’s why he’s always joking around, gets aggressive and literally stuck in pain and anger in episode 3. He just CAN‘T handle another heartbreak, another loss. He rather likes „everything stays the same as it (never) was“…than any decision/change that might lead to chaos and another trauma/heartbreak. He knows exactly what his feelings are…but panics when it’s getting close to serious. Rather another honest feeling wrapped up in a joke or aggressive moment, than having a serious talk?! Charles: yes please! If someone is totally driven by gaypanic and trauma…it’s Charles.
