The Ultimate Guide to Gift Hampers for Women: Thoughtful Ideas for Every Occasion
Gift-giving is an art, and when it comes to selecting the perfect present, gift hampers for women offer an elegant and versatile solution. Whether for birthdays, anniversaries, festivals, or simply a token of appreciation, a well-curated hamper can elevate the gifting experience. But what makes a great gift hamper? How do you tailor it to the recipient’s tastes? Let’s explore the essentials of crafting and choosing the perfect hamper for women.
1. Why Gift Hampers for Women Are the Perfect Choice
Versatility at Its Best
One of the biggest advantages of gift hampers is their adaptability. They can be customized for any occasion, whether personal or professional. From skincare and wellness-themed hampers to gourmet and self-care packages, there is an endless range of combinations to suit different personalities and preferences.
A Personal Touch
Unlike a single gift item, a hamper allows for a combination of thoughtful gifts, making the recipient feel extra special. It reflects effort, creativity, and attention to detail, making it a more meaningful gesture.
Ideal for All Budgets
Another great aspect of hampers is that they can be tailored to fit various budgets. Whether you're looking for something luxurious or a simple yet heartfelt gesture, there’s a hamper for every price range.
2. Types of Gift Hampers for Women
Self-Care and Wellness Hampers
A self-care hamper is an excellent choice for women who appreciate relaxation and rejuvenation. Consider including:
Aromatherapy candles
Herbal teas
Bath salts and essential oils
Silk eye masks
Organic skincare products
Gourmet & Food Hampers
For the food lovers, gourmet hampers are a delightful treat. Depending on preferences, these could include:
Handcrafted chocolates
Artisanal coffee or tea blends
Exotic dried fruits and nuts
Premium cheeses and crackers
Fine wines or non-alcoholic sparkling beverages
Beauty and Skincare Hampers
For those who enjoy beauty and skincare rituals, a well-curated hamper can include:
Hydrating face masks
Nourishing body lotions
Sunscreen and lip balms
Serums and facial oils
Organic soaps and bath bombs
Luxury Hampers
For a touch of extravagance, luxury hampers can include high-end self-care and lifestyle products such as:
Silk robes or scarves
Designer fragrances
Exquisite handmade jewelry
Luxury spa products
Work & Productivity Hampers
For women who love organization and productivity, a hamper centered around work essentials can be a great idea. Some options include:
Premium journals and planners
Elegant pens and stationery sets
Herbal teas for energy boosts
Stress-relief essential oil roll-ons
3. How to Select the Right Gift Hamper
Know Her Preferences
Understanding the recipient’s likes, dislikes, and lifestyle is crucial. Does she love skincare? Is she a foodie? Does she prefer sustainable and eco-friendly products? Answering these questions will help you curate a hamper that aligns with her tastes.
Consider the Occasion
Different occasions call for different hampers. A birthday gift hamper may have more celebratory elements like chocolates and scented candles, while a corporate gift hamper may be more refined with elegant accessories.
Focus on Quality Over Quantity
A well-curated hamper does not have to be packed with numerous items. Instead, selecting a few high-quality products that complement each other is a better approach.
Presentation Matters
A beautifully presented hamper enhances the entire experience. Opt for eco-friendly packaging, elegant wrapping, or personalized notes to add a special touch.
4. Customizing a Gift Hamper for a Personal Touch
Adding a Personalized Note
A handwritten note or a heartfelt message adds sentimental value to the hamper, making it even more meaningful.
Selecting Sustainable Options
With growing awareness of environmental impact, choosing sustainable, organic, and cruelty-free products for the hamper is a thoughtful gesture.
Mixing Essentials with Indulgence
A perfect hamper balances practical items with indulgent treats. For example, pairing skincare essentials with a few luxury chocolates creates a mix of necessity and indulgence.
5. Where to Buy or How to DIY?
Buying Ready-Made Hampers
There are plenty of pre-made hampers available that are curated by professionals. These are great for last-minute gifting and are often beautifully presented.
Creating a DIY Hamper
For a more personal touch, creating a customized hamper allows you to handpick each item. Here’s how to do it:
Choose a theme – Skincare, relaxation, gourmet, or luxury.
Pick 3-5 high-quality items that align with the theme.
Find a beautiful basket or eco-friendly packaging to present the gifts.
Add a personal touch with a handwritten note or a small keepsake.
6. Final Thoughts on Gift Hampers for Women
Gift hampers are more than just presents—they are an experience. Whether store-bought or handmade, they offer a combination of thoughtful, high-quality items that cater to different tastes and occasions. The key to choosing the perfect gift hampers for women lies in personalization, presentation, and quality. By considering the recipient’s preferences and focusing on meaningful items, you can create a gift that truly resonates with her.
No matter the occasion, a well-curated hamper will always leave a lasting impression. So, the next time you’re searching for the perfect gift, think beyond a single item and consider the elegance and thoughtfulness of a beautifully arranged hamper.

》 Ah, Akaashi.
》 The lover
》 Dude, I don’t even think you can feel down when you’re with Akaashi
》 He makes you feel so loved and worth that honestly, it’s hard to have these types of days
》 As it should be! >:( You should feel loved!!
》 But they do happen and Akaashi is prepared every time they do
》 He notices them quite early on because of your loud sighs, staring off into the distance, and ruffling of your hair
》 He has his eyes on you 24/7 babyyyy
》 He’ll get you to drop whatever you are doing, and just either sit down with him on the couch or lay next to him
》 If it’s on the couch, he’ll sit you on his lap, your legs around his waist and your face towards his, and just looks into your eyes
》 He’ll brush light touches on your cheek with his thumb in a loving and caring manner
》 As he presses his forehead against yours, he whispers sweet affirmations about how much he loves you and how much he values your time together
》 He says things like “I appreciate everything you do for me”, “I love every inch of you and everything you do”, “Thank you for staying by my side”
》 Sometimes you place your head on his shoulder as he rubs soothing circles along your back
》 This calms you down and even manages to make you tired
》 You fall asleep in his arms owo
》 If you lay next to him, he would pull you close into his chest and start petting your hair
》 One arm is wrapped around your body while the other encases your head
》 His natural body scent mixed with the faint smell of his body wash helps ease your emotions and relaxes you
》 He becomes much more affectionate and physical with you during these times and will try to touch you with gentle fingers

》 He will sit you down and attempt to calm you down
》 He’s a listener, so he will look at you with empathetic and considerate eyes as you pour your heart out to him
》 Anything, even if you think it’s dumb to be sad about, he will listen to everything
》 Holds your hand as comfort and runs his fingers over your knuckles
》 Lots of kissies too
》 On your temple, your hand, cheek, lips
》 His kisses make all the boo boos go away
》 He lets you sleep either on him or having your head on his lap
》 As you’re talking, he just admires the outline of your face and the way your hair falls
》 When you are done, he will offer you words that make your heart swell and will also ask if there is anything he could do
》 If you are stressing over work or school, he will try and assist you with whatever he can, he just doesn’t want to see you down like this
》 Will also cook meal for you too
》 Your favourite meals? He already researched the whole internet, asked your family, and tested over 50 times just to make it perfect for you. So, he always has the ingredients ready
》 Suga is a big mom and is there for you all the time, just like how a real mom would be uwu
☾ ⋆*・゚:⋆*・゚:⠀ *⋆.*:・゚ .: ⋆*・゚: .⋆

》 HE’S A CRACKHEAD SUCAN
》 He would be the one that would wrap you up in a blanket
》 It legit that thing where you wrap up the sad person in a blanket like a burrito, lay the burrito next to you, hug the sad person, and then feed the sad person
》 You are sad person
》 He is such a flirt so I think sometimes he doesn’t really realize if you are sad or feeling down
》 But his comment do make you kinda smile
》 Like what he says is so cringy that it kinda hurts
》 “Volleyball is just hardcore hot potato”, “If two people read each other’s mind, whose mind are they reading?”, “Butter is just food lotion”
》 It’s so stupid that they make you smile
》 He’s just like ???
》 When he does realize you are sad, he will try to be the loving boyfriend, but he kinda fails
》 He makes you laugh though
》 He’s good at that
》 He’s trying ;-;
》 He’ll run a warm bath for you and just assumes what would make you feel better
》 Calls Iwa for backup to be honest
》 Lots of hugs

1. 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙨𝙢𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚?
She uses a rose perfume, so that’s one of the most prevalent scents when you’re standing near her. If you’re close enough, you might get a whiff of her rosemary and mint shampoo. She also tends to have the general scent of freshly baked bread and cinnamon that’s somehow ended up imbedded in her clothes from baking. If you catch her after work there’s a very high chance that she’ll smell a little bit like play-doh, elmer’s glue, and hand sanitizer because she was around children all day.
2. 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙙𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙚’𝙨 𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙨 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚?
Cold to the touch and more calloused than you’d think. All the manual labor from her childhood and young adulthood, in addition to her gardening and cooking, gave her hands a roughness that she can’t totally fix. She wears lotion to try to mitigate it a bit, but they’re still not quite as soft and “ladylike” as she thinks they should be.
3. 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙪𝙨𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙚𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙖 𝙙𝙖𝙮?
On a weekday, breakfast is usually eggs, toast, and tea. If it’s a weekend, she might get a little bit more wild and crazy and make she and Matilda waffles or pancakes. For lunch, it’s usually pretty straightforward and balanced because she just packs herself the same thing she makes for Matilda. So, sandwich (either peanut butter and jelly or turkey and cheese, both on homemade bread), fruit of some kind, a vegetable and an appropriate dip (usually carrots with hummus), and some kind of cracker or chip. There are the occasional deviations for things like soup or hard-boiled eggs or yogurt, but it tends to follow that formula. Dinner is the most variable meal because Jenny has collected quite the collection of recipes. Her baked chicken, stir fry, and enchiladas are all in heavy rotation but she definitely tries something new every few weeks. For dessert, there’s usually some leftover goodies that she made or a little piece of chocolate from the bowl Jenny keeps out for guests.
Jenny will snack throughout the day sometimes, but not often. Her students usually keep her busy during the day and she usually gets started on dinner as soon as she gets home. But on the weekends or on days off, she might have some tea and crackers or something between lunch and dinner.
4. 𝘿𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙖 𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙫𝙤𝙞𝙘𝙚?
Arguably, yes. It’s fairly soft and sweet, sort of what you’d probably expect by looking at her. I sort of imagine her sounding a bit like Laura Osnes or Katie Hall? But without so much power behind her voice. Maybe a sort of Emmy Rossum in Phantom? I’m not describing this well and it’s all in the context of Broadway which is probably not helpful for most people...but basically, a sort of old school type Broadway mixed with a little bit of opera and Disney princess.
5. 𝘿𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙮 𝙗𝙖𝙙 𝙝𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙩𝙨 𝙤𝙧 𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙠𝙨?
She has tons, tbh. She bites her lip a lot when she’s anxious and will bite off pieces of loose or dry skin, which can make her lips bleed. It’s not a good look. She also fidgets with her hands a lot, either rubbing the pad of one thumb over the thumbnail of the other hand or knitting her fingers together and sort of twisting them back and forth. She also used to bite her nails pretty incessantly, but largely stopped once she started painting them, but it is a bad habit that will pop up occasionally if she’s under a lot of stress. And if she’s not fidgeting with her hands, she’s fidgeting with her hair or clothes. She twirls her hair around her index finger constantly or pulls on loose threads dangling from the hem of her blouse sleeve or skirt.
Jenny is also generally really bad about eye contact. She was raised to just keep her head down and not look adults in the eye, so that’s translated to all adults. She’ll look a kid in the eye, but she very rarely makes direct eye contact with other adults, she prefers to look at her feet or just to the side of their face or their nose.
As for non-physical bad habits, she backpedals on things constantly, before its even warranted. Like, she’ll soften/invalidate her opinions or feelings for pretty much anything. Like, if she admits that she would prefer one restaurant over another, she would probably pair it with “Not that there’s anything bad about Restaurant A. I don’t mind going there if you’d prefer.” She’s working on it, but its a massive bad habit (read: trauma response) that is glaringly apparent to pretty much anyone who knows her.
6. 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙪𝙨𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 / 𝙬𝙚𝙖𝙧?
Very stereotypically feminine. Lots of knee length skirts and dresses. Cardigans in neutral colors. Blouses with bows or ruffles or Peter Pan collars. Low heels or ballerina flats. She loves neutral and pastel colors, as well as floral patterns. Vintage silhouettes and designs are some of her favorites and she will frequently take inspiration from the first half of the 20th century. She will occasionally wear pants and quite likes cigarette pants and higher waisted 1940s styled trousers, usually in khaki or gray. She’ll wear overalls, a oversized tee shirt, and sneakers when she’s doing home renovations work or gardening, but that’s about as dressed down as she gets.
7. 𝙄𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙖𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙚? 𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙢𝙪𝙘𝙝? 𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙨𝙤?
She does, but I don’t feel like it’s always in a way that other people would understand or recognize? Like, Jenny is generally fairly sparing with physical touch. She’s not much of a hugger outside of her partner and Matilda. But she shows affection verbally much more frequently, either telling someone how much she cares about them or something she admires about them. And even more frequent are the little, unspoken ways she shows her love to others. She is a really good listener and will bring up things you mentioned in a conversation weeks ago. She’ll bring in extra cookies to share with her coworkers in the middle of the week. She shovel’s her elderly neighbor’s sidewalk in the winter without being asked. Jenny loves people easily and expresses frequently, even if it’s in small, mundane ways.
8. 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙨𝙡𝙚𝙚𝙥 𝙞𝙣?
Fetal position, but with one arm tucked under her pillow and her knees not quite pulled up to her chest.
9. 𝘾𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙖𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙢?
Probably not. Jenny does not believe in yelling, for pretty much any reason other than an emergency, and her natural voice is quite soft. She’s not a whisperer or anything, but she’s not someone you’d be able to hear from the other side of the room if something else was going on around her.

Above the City Lights
Fandom: Mr. Love Queen’s Choice
Pairing: Victor x Reader
Warning: NSFW
You stepped out of the shower, breathing in the steam that had filled the bathroom. The time on your phone read 7:30 pm; you still had an hour to prepare before Victor arrived home.
You opened the cabinet pulling out your jasmine scented lotion, Victor’s favorite. The scent was light, and he always said it reminded him of your trip to France and the day you spent walking through the Jasmine fields in Grasse.
Everything about that day had been perfect: the summer sun warming your skin, the way Victor’s hand wrapped around yours, the wine and cheese picnic he had packed for the two of you, and that night–the night he had given you the intricately wrapped box. The outside was gold with a delicate black ribbon, but the present inside was more than you could have ever asked for.
Victor’s words as you had stared in awe at the gift inside were still fresh in your memory. “For the past year, you have trusted me to take care of you, to love you, to be your safe space. I always want to be that person for you. _____, will you choose to submit to me and to be mine?”
You picked up the thin gold collar off the vanity, placing it back around your neck. You never felt whole without it on. Your fingers lingered on top of it for a moment as you looked at yourself in the mirror. Seeing it around your neck made you miss Victor even more.
You picked the bottle of lotion up, put out a small dollop and massaging it into the smooth skin of your calves and thighs, spreading the remainder across your chest and arms. You then set about drying your hair. Next was your makeup. Your hand moved slowly, creating the most fluid of lines with the black liquid liner, your mascara making the color of your eyes pop, and last the dark red lipstick that Victor loved so much.
He would be home any moment now, so you hurried from the bathroom, slipping on the black heels that lifted you almost to Victor’s chin. You moved quickly to the living room, taking your position in front of the fireplace–legs spread and hands behind your back.
When you heard the key slide into the lock, you almost couldn’t contain your excitement, your body tingling all over. As the door opened, you briefly glanced towards the entryway as Victor placed his bags on the small bench. After a moment you heard the soles of his shoes as he moved across the tile floor, silence following when he crossed onto the carpet.
You didn’t look up, fixing your eyes on the bottom of his pants. His breath was warm against your skin as he leaned in closer, his lips brushing across your cheek leaving the softest of kisses.
“Hmm, you smell like jasmine,” he whispered.
He pulled back as he traced his index finger lightly across your collarbone, stopping to tug gently at the tiny loop that hung from the center.
“So beautiful,” he murmured, “like you were created to wear this collar…to be mine.”
You whimpered at his words, your pussy clenching as you looked up at him through your lashes.
His lips were set in a hard line, but his eyes revealed the truth, always so soft, and some emotion, something beyond even love was visible in them. When he looked at you like that, you knew you would do anything he asked, anything to make him happy.
Victor ran his finger along your jawline, his eyes lingering on your parted lips. “Were you a good girl while I was gone?” Victor asked, his hands sliding across your shoulders. “Not letting those hands of yours get you into trouble,” he said as his own fingers ran along your pussy.
“Yes…” you breathed, and a moment later you felt his hand coming down just hard enough against your pussy. You could barely contain the moan threatening to escape your lips. “Yes sir,” you corrected, and Victor rubbed his hand across your sensitive folds, soothing the sting from his slap. The only time you were allowed to call him ‘sir’ was when he was in this mood.
“I’m so proud of you. You’ve been so good for me while I was away,” he cooed. “I think you’ve earned a surprise.” Your skin flushed from his praise; your heart thumping in your chest.
“I’m giving you a choice tonight. Suit on or off?”
You took a moment to run your eyes down his body, appreciating the way his black jacket looked against his skin, the tiniest amount of skin you could see where he had loosened his tie, the way the material stretched across his thighs.
“Suit on, sir,” you answered.
He gave you a smile as he stepped away from you. “Go stand in front of the window. I will only be a moment,” Victor directed.
You hurried over, assuming your position just like he had asked, feeling the cool air off the window, even through the blinds. Victor returned just a few minutes later, and you could see him set something on the table next to you, though what it was, you were not quite sure. He had removed his jacket and tie, a few buttons were undone on his shirt and his sleeves now rolled almost to his elbows.
“Give me your wrists,” he said, and you held your hands out in front of you.
One by one, Victor took your wrists in his hands, tying silk sashes around them. He let your wrists drop as he moved around behind you, his hands wrapping around your hips and then ghosting across your ribs.
“Arms up,” he directed.
You silently obeyed, stretching them high above your head. Victor took the slack of the ribbon and secured it on the hook that he had placed above the large glass windows.
“I have another surprise for you tonight.”
You raised your eyes to his, your confusion evident.
“You’ll see soon enough, but first I have to get you ready,” he murmured, leaning down to press his lips against your neck.
His body pressed against yours, his thigh sliding between your spread legs. He worked his hands down your body, goosebumps erupting everywhere he touched. His fingers slowly circled around one of your nipples, causing it to harden before he tugged it gently. A breathy moan left your lips as he repeated the action on your other nipple. He backed away from you, his leg bumping against your now throbbing clit as he turned to pick something up from the table.
“You’re going to look so beautiful tonight,” Victor said, holding up the nipple clamps. They were a pair he only brought out for special occasions–attached to the clamps was a delicate silver chain with small gems.
He circled the hardened peak with his index finger before placing the clamp on it, a shiver running through your body as you felt the initial pinch. He repeated the process, giving the chain a light tug before stepping back to look you over. Your clit was throbbing, and you could feel wetness starting to drip from your pussy.
“_____, you are so perfect,” Victor mused. “I think it’s time for you to make your debut.” He placed his hands on your hips, pressing one last kiss to your forehead. “Turn around and face the window,” he directed. You did as he said, the ties around your wrists pulling tighter.
As you turned, your heard the quiet hum of the blinds raising, the lights of the city suddenly filling the living room. You now understood Victor’s earlier remarks. Part of you wanted to hide, but an even stronger piece of you loved it, the idea that anyone could see you, could see how Victor fucked you.
You heard the sound of Victor unzipping his pants, felt his body press against yours, his cock sliding between your legs. Tiny whimpers passed through your lips as he rubbed his cock between your folds, catching your clit each time. His slow movements were torture after not having cum for nearly two weeks. When he pushed his hips forward this time, he thrust up into you, forcing a loud moan from deep in your chest.
He barely gave you time to adjust before his thrusts sped up, his hips hitting hard against yours. You gasped for breath, as he hit so deep inside you it was almost painful. His hands dug into your hips pushing you into the hard glass in front of you. The feeling of the cool window against your sensitive nipples making your eyes roll back.
Every few thrusts, Victor would tug on the chain, drawing a mix of whimpers and breathy whines from you. Your pussy clenching around his cock, “That’s it. See how well you take me?”
You open your mouth, trying to pull enough air in to get your words out, “Yes, sir.” Your mind was starting to get fuzzy, but through it all you noticed a light on in the apartment across the way. A man who looked to be around your age standing in the window. His eyes met yours, clearly not ashamed that you caught him watching. You could just make out his nude form, his hand palming at his cock. Fuck. Seeing him watch you almost made you cum, and you felt your pussy start to flutter.
“Do you like that he can see you? That he gets to see what a good girl you are for me?” Victor panted in your ear, his hips slapping against yours. You tried to answer, but everything felt like too much. The way his cock was thrusting deep inside you, the way he hit your g-spot just right when he thrust back in, the cool glass against your clamped nipples, the almost uncomfortable stretch of your arms over your head.
“Answer me,” Victor demanded, his thrusts punctuating his words.
“God, yes. I love it, sir,” you almost screamed.
Victor’s hand slid around your throat, just the feel of it there making you almost faint. The tiny whimpers quickly became screams, your hot breath fogging up the glass in front of you. The city lights barely a blur through the window.
“I want you to cum for me,” Victor said, his fingers ghosting across your hips and down to play with your clit. You were so close, just a few more thrusts, and you would be there. You could feel Victor’s cock starting to twitch inside you, as he groaned in your ear.
You were still watching the man through the window, his hand moving up and down his cock. You felt the first spurt of cum as Victor thrust against your cervix, and you fell apart. A scream coming from inside you that you were sure the apartment below had to have heard.
Your legs gave out, falling against the glass, your arms stretched beyond comfort, but you were too exhausted to care. Victor wrapped an arm around your waist, supporting your weight as he unhooked the tie holding your hands. He bent slightly and scooped you up in his arms. Your body instinctively curling into his.
He laid you down on the bed and removed the clamps from your nipples, and you whimpered as the blood rushed back into them. Victor stroked your face gently. “It’s alright,” he said as he stood up. He left you to grab a washcloth to clean between your legs.
Your mind started to slip into unconsciousness as you saw him stripping his clothes and climbing into bed next to you. Victor pulled you tight against his chest, leaving soft kisses all over your face. “You did so good. I’m so proud of you,” he murmured into your hair.
You snuggled closer to him, your face coming to rest in the crook of his neck. “I missed you, Victor,” you whispered.
“I missed you too,” he whispered back, his hand stroking your back until you fell asleep.

First off, how are you feeling today? Just in my moody mood like I am off and on everyday.
How’s the weather? Cold.
Do you own any fingerless gloves? Nope.
What is your opinion on lederhosen? Not my thing.
Last time you went out to eat, where did you go? My brother and I had lunch at this local burger place in the mall after doing some Christmas shopping yesterday.
^ What did you order? ..was it tasty? Chicken tenders with beer battered garlic fries. It was really good. The fries were bomb.
Do you write things down that you find funny so you don’t forget? No, but I save or screen shot funny stuff online.
Tell me about the last animal you touched. That’s my adorable doggo, Princess Leia. She’s a German Shepherd/Lab mix.
Have you ever witnessed a birth? Only when we watched The Miracle of Birth in middle school. :X Gahhhhh.
Can you see your reflection from where you are sitting? If I looked at my phone.
Quick! Sniff the air. What can you smell? My bowel of Ramen next to me.
What color are the walls in the room you are in? White.
Have you ever been in a restroom that actually had a restroom attendant? No.
^^ Isn’t that awkward? I don’t want anyone listening..! Hah. I think it would be super awkward. Having to use a public restroom isn’t pleasant as it is.
What do you hear right now? The Voice.
When you say I’m fine, are you actually fine, or just saying that? Mostly I’m just saying it. I’m rarely fine but I’d rather people didn’t know it. <<< Same. And it’s just a simpler response. I don’t want to really get into it and I’m sure they don’t really want to hear it.
Do you have a secret that you’ve been hiding for many years? Maybe.
Have you ever known something that no one knew you knew? Yeah.
^^ How do you deal with that situation? I just keep it to myself. It can be hard to do that; though, depending on what it is. Sometimes I’m dying to tell someone or for a certain person to know I know.
Does it bug you when people crunch on ice? Y E S. It’s one of my major pet peeves. The sound of ice hitting the glass/cup/whatever when you tilt it back to get the ice, the sound of slurping/sucking on the ice, and the chewing of the ice. I die.
What was the last photo you took of? This adorable chocolate lab wallflower Christmas decor we got from Bath & Body Works. It reminded us of our dog, Brandie, who passed away the day after Christmas in 2016.
What do you look for in a mate? Physically and personality-wise. Someone patient, understanding, caring, and kind.
When you hear someone tell a story or joke wrong, does it really annoy you? I guess it would depend on the story.
Your thoughts on bacon? Not a fan.
Why is it when something is hard, it’s compared to brain surgery or rocket science? Because brain surgery and rocket science are hard. <<<
What are your thoughts on little kids with cell phones? It’s just crazy cause I didn’t have a cell phone until I was like 16. I’m like why the hell does a child need a cell phone? Well, a smart phone anyway. If it was just one like those Cricket phones or something I could see the benefit in that. I don’t think they need iPhones/Androids.
^^ Ever seen a elementary-school kid with a nicer phone than yours? D: No.
Out of the 7 deadly sins, which are you most guilty of? Sloth. <<< Same. And envy.
Speaking of guilt, are you feeling guilty about anything right now? What? I feel guilty about a lot of things.
What was the last lie you told? *shrug*
Is there anyone in particular you always try to tune out? No one I personally know.
Use this space to tell someone off: Nah.
What kind of steak does Chuck Norris order? The answer is probably something like he eats the whole cow or something.
Do you work out? Nope.
What was the last thing you ate with a spoon? My breakfast microwave meal.
Describe the last cup you drank from. It’s a glass with Disney characters and facts on it.
What is a food that you always are in the mood to eat? I have a bowl of Ramen every night.
Do you like sausage? (The food, you creep.) No.
Ever held a newborn animal? No.
Is there anything you’re in denial about? What? I don’t think so.
Use this space to confess something: Nah.
Fill in the blanks. I wish ____ would ____. I wish my health would improve.
Who was the last person you shared an inside joke with? My brother.
Do you ever go to wholesale clubs around dinner time to get free samples? No.
Have you ever been to a Chinatown? Yes.
Do you like Ritz Bits? If so, cheese or peanutbutter? Both are good.
Do you prefer chunky or creamy peanut butter? Creamy.
How do you like your eggs? Scrambled, sunny-side up, hard boiled, deviled, and an egg sandwich.
If a tree falls and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound? Yes and no.
Of course it does. Physics still apply whether anyone is there or not. There’s a philosophical answer to this, though. I remember discussing it in a philosophy class years ago, but I forget exactly what was said. Something about observation and perception. Basically, if there’s no one around to perceive the vibrations then there’s no sound.
Do you stop to pick up heads-up pennies? Sometimes. Not heads-up pennies specifically, just a penny in general.
Do you make a wish when you blow out your birthday candles? I used to.
^ If you tell anyone, does that automatically void the wish? I used to think that as a kid.
Have you ever been to Boston? Nope.
^^ If so, what’s your favorite neighborhood/part of the city?
Describe your hair at the moment. It’s in a messy pony tail and in serious need of a dye job and trim.
Do you ever randomly remember something you were trying to think of then blurt it out in the middle of a different conversation? Yep, quite often.
^^ Don’t you get super excited when you figure it out? I do. [x It’s so frustrating when I can’t remember, so yeah it’s satisfying if I finally do.
Do your pets have collars? Describe them: It’s a cute red one with a little scarf hanging off it.
Tell me about the last person that made you laugh. He’s my brother.
Why do girls go tanning when it just makes them look orange? It’s not just girls, but yeah I don’t know. I don’t like the look, personally.
What color are the appliances in your kitchen? They’re not all the same color.
What is your most prized possession? Does Finn count? I technically “own” him. <<< If we’re counting doggos, then my dog is definitely mine.
What is the last thing you searched for online? Chuck Norris lol.
Do you use any scented lotions? What do they smell like? I don’t have one currently, but yeah. I get different ones from Bath & Body Works.
Do you have any friends that speak any languages you don’t understand? I don’t have any friends.

Kate: Sharon’s sister
Maggie: Sharon’s niece
Emmett: Emily’s husband
Carter: Sharon’s nephew’s son (~20 months old)
Claire: Sharon’s niece’s daughter (~4)
Lauren: Sharon’s niece
A little 4th of July ficlet. Just a reminder, you can blacklist the tag #mikuscfanfic (or just unfollow me) if you don’t like my writing. There’s no need to send me rude anonymous asks telling me how much I suck—I’m well aware that a lot of you don’t like my writing, but there are some who seem to enjoy it, so this is for them 😀❤️
Sharon felt a tiny hand tugging at the hem of her t-shirt. She knew without looking down that it was Marie. “Hold on, baby girl, let Gammy finish this pasta salad.” Sharon added Italian dressing and parmesan cheese to the large bowl of angel hair pasta, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, and green peppers in front of her and tossed it until the ingredients were well-mixed. After doing the same to the smaller bowl beside it, minus the onions and peppers for Rusty, Ricky, and a couple of her nieces, she put both bowls in the refrigerator and picked Marie up. The ten-month-old was adorable in her red, white, and blue striped swimsuit, and the scent of sunscreen was evident from her soft skin.
Emily held her arms out for the baby. “I’ll take her, Mom. Go get dressed.”
Sharon handed the baby over and went to her and Andy’s room to put on her own swimsuit. Andy was already dressed and was rubbing sunscreen into his face. He handed her the tube of sunscreen when he saw her coming in. “Mind getting my back?”
“Sure.” Sharon squeezed some of the lotion into her palm and softly ran her hands over his back. She changed into her swimsuit as Andy put a t-shirt on and added a couple of clean beach towels to their bag. Once she’d applied as much sunscreen as she could by herself, Andy took the tube from her to put it on her back. He moved her hair to one side and rubbed the lotion into her skin between her neck and the top of her swimsuit. With that taken care of, she pulled her cover-up over her head and slipped into a pair of sandals. “It would’ve been fine for you to go play golf with the others, you know.”
Andy shrugged. “I heard some damsels in distress needed a captain.”
Sharon gave him a disbelieving look. “Yeah. I’ll remember that when we come back, and I have to dock the boat for you.”
“I can do it...You just, uh, do it faster,” Andy mumbled.
Sharon snorted. “Uh-huh. There’s some chipped paint on the side of the boat that suggests otherwise.”
A little while later, they were cruising down the lake. It wasn’t even eighty degrees yet, and the warm sunshine felt wonderful. The pleasant warmth and low hum of the boat was about to put Sharon to sleep, and she looked down at Marie in her lap and saw that it had already done the same to her.
“Here, Mom, I’ll go sit in the back with her in the shade,” Emily said.
Andy held his arms out for her. “You can give her to me.”
Sharon gently transferred Marie to Andy’s arms and moved back toward the front of the boat.
By lunchtime, Claire and Carter were getting restless, and Marie had just woken up and wasn’t too happy, either, so they went back to the house. As they neared the dock, Andy got up so Sharon could sit down. “This is so embarrassing,” Andy muttered.
“Hey. You have good aim where it counts,” Sharon whispered into his ear before she sat down. She didn’t have to look over at him to know he had a shit-eating grin on his face.
After a quick lunch, they went back down to the dock and got on floats in the lake. Sharon wondered what Marie would think of the cold water, but she splashed around in her little float and didn’t start getting fussy until it was time for a nap. Emily lazily reached over to the dock to tap her phone and see what time it was. “I’m going to take her up to the house and put her down—“
“Wait, I’ll take her,” Sharon and Andy volunteered at the same time. Sharon had been about to doze off on her float, herself, but she scrambled up the ladder on the side of the dock before Andy could react.
Emily gave Marie a look. “Sounds like Gammy and Papa are looking for excuses to take a nap.” She got Marie out of her float and lifted her up to Sharon. “Either way, Mommy’s not complaining...Hey, Mom, will you hand me a beer?”
“Make that two, please,” Maggie added from her float.
“Ugh, I hate you guys,” Lauren moaned, as she was five months pregnant.
Sharon tossed each of them a bottle and wrapped a towel around Marie. Andy got out of the water and placed Sharon’s cover-up in her bag. “I’ll bring your things.”
Sharon shook her head. “I’m coming right back when Marie wakes up, I’ll just leave them here.”
“Oh, well, I’ll just, uh, come help you with her,” Andy sputtered, fooling no one.
“Awww, night-night, Andy,” Maggie called from the water.
“Sweet dreams,” Emily added.
When they got up to the house, Sharon gave Marie to Andy. “Mind running her a bath while I shower off and change? Just put some soap in with the running water and rinse the lake water off of her.”
“Sure.” Barely a few seconds had passed before Andy felt sudden warmth against him in contrast to the cold water from the baby’s swimsuit. “Ewww, I think she just peed on me! How is that possible?”
Sharon giggled. “It’s those swim diapers, they don’t really hold pee.”
Andy looked down at Marie. “You couldn’t have done that just a few seconds ago when Gammy had you? I think you planned that.”
Sharon shrugged. “I’ve taught her well.”
Several minutes later, Sharon was showered off and had changed into pajama pants and a t-shirt. Andy came in with Marie, wearing just a diaper and rubbing her eyes. Sharon held her hands out to her. “Come here, sweet girl.” She took her from Andy, switched on the fan beside their bed, and climbed under the covers, tired herself from the sunshine and being in the lake. Not to mention from her brother finding it necessary to run the vacuum at 6:00 that morning. She tucked the baby in beside her and patted her back until she started to drift off.
Andy stepped out of his swimsuit and draped it over the rack in their bathroom. “I’m going to take a quick shower, and I’m right behind you.”
In the five minutes it took for Andy to take a shower and put on a clean pair of boxers, Sharon and Marie were both passed out. Sharon usually at least stirred a little bit if she hadn’t been sleeping long when the mattress dipped from Andy getting in bed, but she didn’t move. The whirring of the fan and the baby curled into her side had put her in a coma, and he wasn’t far from it, either.
Sharon woke up when Marie started cooing and moving around beside her. She looked at the clock on her nightstand and saw that they’d been sleeping for almost two hours. “Well, hey, precious. Somebody took a long nap!” Marie grinned and pointed at Andy. He was snoring, and his mouth was hanging open. “We’ll let Papa sleep for a few more minutes. You know he has to have his beauty rest, and I know Mimi has plenty of popsicles in the freezer.” Sharon got up and lifted Marie into her arms.
Andy had started to come to when Sharon and Marie were waking up, and by the time they were out of bed, he was completely awake. He put on a dry swimsuit and t-shirt and found them in the kitchen.
With Andy watching the baby, Sharon changed into another swimsuit and got a swim diaper and dry swimsuit for Marie. She hated having to reapply sunscreen, but she hated the thought of being sunburned or having lake water and sunscreen in her bed even more. Once they were ready again, Sharon and Andy took Marie back down to the dock. Marie bounced against Andy’s hip and pointed at the water, wanting to get back in, so Andy put her back in her float and lowered her into the water as Emily maneuvered her float closer to the dock to get her. Rusty was approaching the dock on the jet ski, and the first thing Sharon noticed was that he was missing a necessary object over his t-shirt. “Russell Thomas Beck, where is your life vest?” She demanded.
“Relax, Mom, I didn’t even get out of the cove without it. My t-shirt made me forget about it, but I realized I wasn’t wearing one and came back.”
Sharon gave him a disapproving look as she tossed him a life vest from a chest on the dock. “Do not let it happen again, young man.” Once he’d driven off, she poked through the cooler for one of the peach-flavored beers Emmett had introduced her to. Most flavored beers were too sweet, but this kind was perfect for her taste.
Sharon left her opened beer on the dock long enough to dive into the lake and get situated on a float. Andy played music from Sharon’s phone before jumping in, himself. He wasn’t a huge fan of the cold water, but it was too clear and beautiful to resist on a sunny day. He couldn’t sit still for very long, either. He swam around for a few minutes before holding on to the back of Sharon’s float as they drifted around the water. Sharon sipped her beer, enjoying the warm sunshine and singing along to the music.
“You’re sweet as a honeybee,
But like a honeybee stings,
You’ve gone and left my heart in pain
All you left is our favorite song,
The one we danced to all night long
It used to bring sweet memories
Of a tender love that used to be
Now it’s the same old song,
But with a different meaning
Since you’ve been gone...”
A couple of hours later, it was almost dinnertime, so Sharon and Andy pulled themselves out of the water to go back to the house for showers and to help get dinner ready. In the true fashion of twenty/thirty-something year old children, the others were staying in the water until “the grown-ups” had dinner ready.
Once everyone had eaten and the kitchen was clean, the entire group went down to the dock and climbed the stairs to the upper deck. The fireworks still wouldn’t start for another hour, but the weather was too pleasant not to sit outside as the sun started its descent behind the mountains and enjoy the twilight. The fireworks would take place not far from the dock, and boats of people who had to venture from their houses to see them were already starting to come out. Sharon and Andy hadn’t been lying in the hammock for two seconds before a song playing from the speaker had Andy standing up and pulling her out of the hammock to dance.
When you snap your finger, or wink your eye,
I come runnin’ to you
I’m tied to your apron strings
And there’s nothin’ that I can do
Sugar pie honey bunch
I’m weaker than a man should be
I can’t help myself
I’m a fool in love, you see
Kate wrinkled her nose. “Are they always that nauseating?”
Rusty rolled his eyes. “Try living with them. They’ll test your gag reflex on a daily basis...Mine still works, in case anyone was wondering.”
The fireworks started a little while later, and Sharon nestled into Andy’s shoulder in the hammock as the colorful lights illuminated the sky. Carter was screaming, and it was the first year that Claire wasn’t screaming. Marie didn’t know what to think, alternating from clapping and laughing to crying to just looking bewildered. Fireworks were loud enough, but the mountains made them echo even more loudly, and trying to put the kids to bed would’ve been pointless.
“Andy, stop,” Sharon hissed when he started kissing her. “My dad is right there!”
“Sharon, please. You have two kids, and you’re over sixty. I think he’s accepted the fact that you kiss your husband. No one’s even paying attention to us.”
“I’d still rather not do it right in front of him—hmmm.” Andy had found the sensitive spot on her neck that never failed to shut her right up before moving back to her lips. This went on intermittently until the fireworks were over, and neither noticed that the noise and lights had stopped until someone, Ricky or Rusty, if they had to guess, heaved a disgusted sigh and dropped a blanket on top of them, enclosing them in darkness. The distraction of the fireworks and the darkness of nightfall had provided a sense of false security. Sharon felt a brief pang of...guilt, or something, hell, she didn’t know. But she also knew they’d get the hell over it. Who could blame her for not being able to keep her hands off of Andy, anyway?

21 Easy (and Cozy) Self Care Ideas to Practice this Winter
New blog post! Now that winter is making days shorter, colder and darker, it's more important than ever to make self care part of your regular routine. And I'm not talking about the Instagram #selfcare that requires fancy bath bombs or expensive lotions. I'm talking about 21 easy ways that you can get cozy and relaxed this winter, whether you're a college student like me, a busy mother of two or a full-time worker with a demanding job schedule.
Some of these self care ideas may seem obvious, but others may surprise you - and many of them are scientifically-backed ways to tackle stress. So regardless of how busy you may be this holiday season, check out these 21 ways you can add more self care into your holly, jolly life.
1. Make yourself a warm, welcoming drink.
On cold winter days, it probably feels natural to reach for something cozy to warm you up. If you're really looking for help relaxing, though, fill your mug with tea. Research has found that drinking tea can help lower people's stress levels. Plus, it can be pretty dang delicious! (If you have celiac disease, just make sure it's gluten free).
2. Watch a sappy holiday-inspired show or movie.
Sometimes, we don't need an award-winning movie or TV show to enjoy ourselves. At least a few times this winter, embrace your silly or sentimental side by watching a bad Hallmark movie or bingeing your favorite holiday baking show. (And if you eat chocolate while doing it, that's obviously worth bonus points).
3. Go thrifting for cute and comfy winter clothes.
Updating your wardrobe for winter doesn't have to hurt your wallet. Instead, make looking for comfy hats, mittens or scarfs a fun adventure by hitting up your local second-hand store.
4. Be your own masseuse.
Massage has been shown to reduce people's physical tension and mental stress - and if you have a chronic illness or chronic pain like me, a good massage is always a good idea! You don't need to hire a high-end masseuse to reap some of these benefits, either. Give yourself a massage instead by rubbing your own muscles while lotioning up after your shower or using a tennis ball or foam roller to break up any knots and tension. Pair this massage with a relaxing bubble bath and you have the makings of a perfect self-date night.
5. Set aside extra time to read a book, just for fun.
I know that winter can be a busy time with friends and family, but don't forget to set aside some alone time in your schedule. Add a good book into the equation, and your quiet night in will be extra enjoyable.
6. Bake yourself something festive!
Besides getting to eat a delicious pumpkin or apple inspired treat, you'll feel nice and cozy when your kitchen is warm from the oven and smelling like the holidays. (And if you need some ideas for gluten free pumpkin desserts or baked goods, try out this recent round up of mine!).
7. Walk it out (outdoors or at a local gym).
Depending on the weather where you live, going for a walk outside might not be an option. Even if you have to go for a walk inside, though, your brain will still thank you. Research has found that exercise can drastically improve people's mental health, and even just walking will lower how often people have "bad days."
8. Take up a new, indoor hobby.
And if being outdoors is realllly not an option, starting a new hobby that takes place indoors is ideal. Start putting together puzzles, learning how to cross-stitch...or even practicing rock-climbing, like I did last year! Who knows - you may end up finding a hobby that you love doing year-round.
9. Try out hot yoga.
Because there's no better escape for winter weather than a relaxing, mantra-and-stretch filled session of hot yoga.
10. Light one of your favorite candles.
More research still needs to be done on the benefits of aromatherapy, but science seems to suggest that certain scents can help us chilllll out. Find a scent that you enjoy, like lavender or peppermint, and experiment with burning different candles and seeing which smells work best for you!
11. Purge your social media feeds.
You've heard of spring cleaning, but winter is another great time to set yourself up for a fresh start in the New Year. If you find yourself spending more time than ever on social media since it's too cold or dreary to go outside, pay attention to how each account makes you feel and ditch the ones that aren't doing you any favors.
12. Get crafty and let out your inner child.
Create a wreath to hang on your door, use colorful pens and papers to create homemade cards or just doodle in a notebook. These kinds of creative activities have been linked to improved mood and creativity the next day...plus, you might end up with some very cute gifts to give this Christmas. Win-win!
13. Pamper yourself with a face mask.
I've only started using face masks this last year, and the hype is worth it. My favorite is a simple mix of honey with cinnamon that I apply on "problem areas" for around 10-15 minutes before washing it off, but there are tons of safe (and even delicious!) face mask recipes you can find online. No fancy or expensive ingredients or products required. Plus, dry winter skin will definitely thank you for the extra TLC.
14. Dust off your crockpot and experiment with a new yummy recipe.
I know I've certainly been lax in using my crockpot lately, and it can be hard to feel motivated to start cooking dinner first thing in the morning. But your future self will definitely thank you for the little bit of prep you do earlier, and winter is the perfect time to whip up something warm and gooey. May I suggest my crockpot stacked enchiladas or vegan mac and cheese?
15. Throw a pajama party.
Whether you have a solo party or invite friends, spend a whole, blissful day hanging out in your PJs.
16. Do something nice for someone else.
Acts of kindness have actually been scientifically shown to improve people's physical and mental health, so passing it forward this winter is actually a win-win. Donate to a local toy-drive, send a care package to a solider or pay for the next person's coffee in Starbucks. Little acts can have a big impact.
17. Start a gratitude practice.
If you're the journaling type, you can start writing what you're grateful for every day in a notebook. Otherwise, sticky notes or just thinking about two things you're grateful for each morning or night will still give you a positivity boost!
18. Set aside time to play your favorite "pointless" game.
Whether it's Sudoku, Words With Friends or a video game that you used to play for hours every day in high school, give yourself permission to just sit back and play for a little while. I know that during most of the year, I'm a major multi-tasker and anytime I do get to play a game, it's because I'm traveling or waiting to start another chore. So chillin' (pun intended) with my gamer self during winter is one of my favorite ways to relax.
19. Declutter at least one part of your house.
Along with purging your social media feeds, on days when cold weather keeps you in the house, you might try purging cluttered corners as well. Decluttering can not only improve concentration, but it can also improve your mood, lower your stress levels and give you a better night's sleep. And if you play your latest Netflix binge, favorite podcast or an epic holiday playlist in the background, you can make decluttering feel a lot more fun too.
20. Stretch yo' body.
At least for me, finding the motivation for a hard workout feels a lot harder when it's cold, dark and dreary outside. So on days when you feel like you're in a funk but don't feel up for a full workout, do some gentle stretches (even in the comfort of your own bed!) instead. It will loosen up your muscles, slash your stress and might even help you be more productive at work.
21. Choose a mantra for the upcoming year.
Obviously, you shouldn't spend all winter pining for spring...but it can't hurt to spend a little time reflecting on what you want from the upcoming months. In 2018, my word or mantra of the year was "discomfort." In 2019, it was "open." And while I haven't decided exactly what word I want to keep in mind during the start of a new decade, I think something similar to "change" will end up winning. What do you want to get out of this Spring? You still have some cold weeks to help you figure out your answer!
The Bottom Line of Self Care During Winter
As the days get colder and our social schedules get busier, it's easy to let self care fall to the bottom of our to-do list. I know from personal experience, though, that you can't run on empty...and when you better yourself through self care, you're also empowering yourself to be a better friend, family member, and personal overall! So this winter, give yourself the gift of self care rituals...and if you need even more ideas, feel free to check out my previous roundups: How to Create Your Own Self Care Retreat in 5 Easy Steps; 15 Self Care Activities You Can Do Without Leaving Bed; and 21 Self Care Activities You Can Do in 15 Minutes or Less! Their scents/natural smell
*just an f.y.i these are all my personal headcanons and I chose to describe them versus using a couple of words for no reason other than I wanted to. Also, there are characters like Sealand, Seychelles, Liechtenstein, and Moldova missing because in my mind they are babies and it would just be weird for me.
The America’s
America: His scent changes depending on where he’s coming from in the U.S., one day he could have of a pine tree scent, to him or motor oil, but generally his cologne is very metallic but underneath that is Evergreen mixed with a faint scent of gunpowder.
Canada: This may seem stereotypical, but he smells sweet, like sugary donut pancake sweet, but that’s mixed with that crisp, fresh, winter air that comes like a week after it snows, thick, rich wood, and coffee.
Mexico: Her scent changes based on the seasons, or in general the time of year. During the fall/winter months for the U.S. (September to March) her scent is very subtle and maybe a little dry, not like dusty, but she just smells clean and plain. But during the warmer months is when her scent can be a little overbearing. It’s hot and salty because of the heat but very fruity and sweet, it doesn’t come off as a perfume but rather like she’s eaten a bunch of fruits in one go or had been picking them.
Cuba: He overwhelmingly smells like motor oil, but not in a bad way, like it’s mixed with sweat because I think in some ways he’s had to learn to love fixing up old cars because of his countries situation. But it’s also mixed with salt water and sand with just a hint of cigar smoke underneath.
Europe
Britain: Britain’s changes based on the weather. If it’s raining that is the main scent with a mix of smog and motor oil. But if it’s just overcast he still smells like dim weather because it’s so common, but it’s mixed with pipe-smoke, or canon smoke, and old books.
France: This man smell’s like roses like he just does. But he doesn’t smell like the same rose, there’s always something different that may hint at specific color or type of rose, hell maybe where it was grown. He also smells like cheese, which is weird I know, but like really good cheese that when you smell it you just want a cracker with maybe a piece of ham or something and gobble it up. But underneath all that is like old grime, like old metal building grime, and sweat mainly from around the time of the industrialization of Europe and America i.e. the building of the Eifel Tower and the Statue of Liberty.
Russia: Now like Canada he also smells like winter, but he smells like that impending snowstorm, cold winter weather that almost leaves a taste in your mouth though he burns like a furnace. I also think he smells like old brick or masonry in general. Like an old brick building that hasn’t had a fire blazing inside in a very long time.
Germany: While I want to say he smells like a beer, which he does, but that’s not his main scent. He mainly smells like the top lining on a drum kit, not the old animal hides they used to use, that has gone through a few 6+ hour long practices with a broken stick or two. Now underneath that is the beer smell, but it’s mixed with sweat and motor oil but not only does he like working out he also likes working, mainly on cars, but every once in a while a hint of wood or fire will come through.
Italy: This boy smells like a chefs kitchen, a mix of a lot of things that sometimes makes your nose itch and you wonder what the hell is cooking. But he also smells like oil paint and canvas and marble because like Germany he likes to create, just more Bob Ross and less Rudolf Diesel.
Southern Italy: This boy like a vineyard, and I know you’ll be asking why Italy or France don’t smell like that, and idk but this boy smells like he spends every morning standing in the middle of the vineyard where the wind can pass right through him and that’s his cologne. But he also smells like shoe polish and fresh, baked bread.
Spain: This man smells like a lot of various things and changes constantly. The most prominent thing he smells like is seafood, like battered and fried seafood with an undertone of salt. But other times he’ll smell very sweet still with that undertone of salt.
Scotland: This man smells old, but not like the same old that China smells, but more like a castle – masonry old. And he obviously smells like smoke/nicotine because he smokes but it’s not seeped into his clothes its right around his head/neck area and everywhere else just smells like old linen. Like something you haven’t worn in a few months that’s been hanging in your closet clean but maybe you should’ve shaken it before you put it on.
Poland: So, if you catch him when he wakes up in between showers he’ll smell spicy actually with like an undertone of rugged wilderness, like plain grass and wheat, and water. But he really likes the flowery smells of perfume so he’ll wear those a lot though he is conscious of the impact it can have on other people, so he never wears too much and he tries to go for the more shuttle scents like flowers over things like cotton candy or berry because those are really pungent.
Lithuanian: He smells like the woods, like dead-ass middle of nowhere moss covering everything woods mixed with fresh water and sometimes things like berries with a rugged undertone of dirt and evergreen that was pushed into his scent all the time's wolves would just tackle and love all over him. During the winter his scent can get very stuffy and plain, like what happens to a house when it’s being lived in but not, yet it’s surrounded by the cold.
Latvia: This is gonna sound odd, but he smells like ham, potatoes, and alcohol. Like most of the time, he smells very plain and nothing really sticks out so sometimes he’ll wear cologne but when it’s colder out and he’s stuck inside and everything he smells like ham, potatoes, and alcohol.
Estonia: This man smells like an office/server room. It’s really clean but cold with a metallic undertone. But he also smells really fresh after he’s left the office and showered – like fresh berries and other fruits. Sometimes he’ll smell more like potatoes and meat but that’s mostly when in the winter when the fresh fruits and all can’t be picked. There are also some earthy undertones to his scent that come out during the winter.
Austria: He smells like old sheet music, or just like old paper in general. That kinda dusty but intriguing smell you get from a really old document or book. There’s also a layer of coffee, fried bread, and evergreen. He sometimes wear a sharp cologne if he’s going out or something and he doesn’t use any super flowery shampoo or anything in the shower so most of the time he smells like old books and food – might made you hungry.
Switzerland: He can also sometimes smell like cheese, but again the good kind of cheese that you wanna eat. But he also smells like really clean, crisp water with an undertone on evergreen and metal. He’ll sometimes smell sweet and other times he’ll smell like beer but those come out depending on what he’s eaten or whenever he showered last.
Netherlands: This man is a blend of tulips, chocolate, and pipe smoke. On is always more dominant than the either and kinda gives away his mood. Sometimes he’ll have a woody-fury undertone to him from the time he's spent outside with rabbits. The heavy smoke smell typically gives away that he’s stressed or maybe even mad. The chocolate says that he’s been with his sister and could be in a good mood if it was just them, but it can also be a sign that he’s trying to relax and it’s not working. The tulip smell says that he’s suuuuuper happy and relaxed and that you could go and talk to him and he's chill. Mostly on the weekends.
Belgium: She smells like chocolate, chocolate, and flowers but with undertones of a vegetable garden and fresh air. She doesn’t really wear any perfume and doesn’t use super pungent shampoos and lotions. She mostly smells sweet but occasionally there will be this metallic, salty sea air undertone that comes out especially when she’s sweating that’ll remind that his women will kick your ass if she needs to.
Belarus: She smells very metallic but also sweet, like sucker sweet with while you have a tongue or lip piercing. Her cold undertone is the cold air that you breathe in super deep to fill your lung and try to relax, maybe the kinda cold that fills you before you start running outside or hiking.
Ukraine: She smells like wheat, but not like gross wheat but like the standing in the middle of the field kinda wheat smell that is where you’d wanna take a super aesthetic photo those it’s kinda itchy as hell. She also smells like flower, as in cooking flower, because I picture her as liking to bake and yeah. Her undertone is cold, but like the cold of seeing your breath, the also sweet cold that doesn’t hurt at first but if you stay out in it you’ll nose will hurt.
Nordics
Iceland: Because he is an island with volcano’s he smells like molten rock mixed with cold seawater but with an undertone of grass. It’s very inviting and warm to smell, no sulfur unless there was a recent eruption and then he reeks of it but also sweats and he’s in a lot of pain and a cloud of smoke almost lingers around him until everything is calmed down.
Norway: This man smells like Evergreen/Pine trees and cold water with clean linens that weren’t washed with anything scented. But he can smell like chocolate, beer, and pancake mix with just a hint of pipe-smoke. (*this is coming from personal experience in Norway and this is what I remember smelling*)
Finland: I wanna say he smells like Christmas, but he’s Finland and so his Christmas is different from mine, but I will say it’s a good bet that he smells like sugar cookies and maybe wrapping paper, like that smell that lingers after you’ve cut it a bunch in the same room. Like Russia, Norway, Canada, and the rest of the colder nations he too smells cold, but he smells like snow cold, like a gentle flurry that you’d take aesthetic photos in kinda snow. But I think he has undertones of gunpowder and metal.
Denmark: This man smells like a bonfire, and I don’t really know why, but he smells like a bonfire mixed with sea water and fresh brew booze. It’s very welcoming and it almost gives you energy and makes you want to stay there a socialize with him and maybe drink and cause some trouble but that’s your decision. Unless it’s the dead of winter he doesn’t smell as cold as say Russia or Canada, but if there’s a bad storm that bonfire smell with mix well with the cold and will make you want to curl up and nap with him.
Sweden: This man smells like a wood workshop, sometimes he smells like more fresh cut wood and others he smells like wood sealer and sawdust. Again, like the others, he smells like the cold but it’s not a pungent as some of the others like you’d have to be hugging him for a while to notice it versus Russia where you’d immediately notice it especially during winter. There are some undertones of sea water and motor oil/exhaust but like the cold, you’ll have to be hugging him to notice or he just took a shower and then those are more present.
Asia
China: So like Scotland, he smells old but a different kind of old, like old wood and paper. Liked like a house that hasn’t had anyone in it for a long time but it’s not rotting or anything. But on a bad day, i.e. bad weather and such, he heavily smells like smog and he desperately tries to cover it up if he gets out of bed and has to leave the house. But he tries to purposely smell clean like fresh linen’s just washed or a sparkling clean house though in his young years i.e. Silk Road and all he heavily began to smell like opium. But he always has an undertone of warm tea.
Japan: This man smells like ink mixed with paper, and it shows on the tips of his fingers. This mainly comes from the hours he spends reading and writing various mangas and stories. But he also smells like pillow packing feathers, you know that ones that’ll stab from the inside of the pillow lining but smell great and are super fluffy. There’s also so undertones of fire embers and cats.
South Korea: His smell changes like some of the others, but its equally based on where he is and the weather. If he’s coming from Seoul he can smell like a busy street and a blend of people but if it’s raining it turns into motor oil and maybe a warm bowl of ramen. If he’s coming from somewhere like Daegu or Busan he may smell more like street food or more like the water.
India: This man smells like spice, which does seem stereotypical, but he also smells like rain and really rich tea. But it’s all brought together with a really clean, linen smell with just hint of metallic undertones. His smell is also really bright and even fruity almost or flowery with undertones of like massage oil or something.
Ottoman Family
Turkey: This man smells like olive oil, I know kinda weird, but the trees grow abundantly in the western part of the country and its used in the food. But she also can sometimes smell like fish but also sometimes just smell like the water, it kinda depends on what he eats and the weather. He has a smoke and sweetness undertone – like chocolate and maybe opium(?). He’ll also sometimes smell like mud and sweat but again it depends on the time of year and what he’s been doing.
Greece: I’m gonna say it, this man smells like cats but not like cat shit or litter, just cats. That soft, fluffy, warm feeling you have when you first interact with a cat before you realize how weird they kinda smell. But he too smells old in a way, but his old smell is like colosseum old smell – marble, stone, a bit dusty but doesn’t irritate your nose. Like it’s not dirty, just it’s been here for a while kinda old. There’s also a big undertone of sea water and linen but like none processed linen so like it’s being made into something linen not ‘oh this is a shirt or sheet’ kinda linen.
Egypt: Another one that smells old but this old can be the kind that irritates your nose because his old is the old of a place that was sealed away and not messed with for a long time for good reason kinda old. But he also smells like fruit and vegetables, nothing specific but like he smells fresh and natural (?) with a mix of fresh water.
Hungary: She smells like metal, shiny, heavy metal mixed with dirt and sweat because she’s a badass woman who fought but also, mainly because of her time with turkey, she smells a bit like hay, spice, and smoke. Though all of his doesn’t come out unless she’s either a) working out or b) just woke up because she likes to uses a lot of flower-scented products but doesn’t wear perfume.
Other
Prussia: He smells more like beer than his brother but like Hungary, he has an old metal and grime smell to him from years of fighting and wearing armor. He also smells like paper because for a long time, especially with Fitz, he played music and when he could sleep he would study it but also it’s from all his writing and home many times he’s sat down a read over his journals. I also think he probably smells slightly like smoke but no particular scent to it like bonfire or nicotine, he just sometimes smells like smoke.
Australia: This man is a bit all over the place. Mainly he smells a bit dry or clay-like, but it’ll mix with salt water and sand and sometimes it’ll turn really muddy and wet. I could compare it to a wet dog smell but its not gross he just very much resembles his environment and so it changes but in general his smell can be relaxing if you’re asking for a hug but if he throws his arm around smiling really wide that smell will likely give away the fact that he’s gonna drag you off to do something adventurous and potentially dangerous.
New Zealand: They smell like grass, but not like fresh cut grass or brittle dying grass, just tall, thick, plain grass with a mix of saltwater air and mountain top cold, but this last one changes depending on where they are because they could also smell a bit dry/sandy. They also smell sweet, but not like chocolate or sugar sweet, just sweet like you a few houses down from a bakery kinda sweet.

41.

What do you do when you go to the beach? Normally when I go to the beach it’s because I’m working (walking the dogs) or walking my own dog, so I spend my time chucking balls and playing. But if I was to go to like, a tropical/warm beach abroad, I’d spend my time paddling, floating on a lilo and drinking cocktails on a sun lounger, lol.
How many pillows are on your bed? Six - two each plus two throw pillows that I use if I’m sitting up in bed and reading or whatever.
What scent was the last lotion you put on? It’s an un-scented one. I find scented lotions make me itch for some reason, which is a shame as I love all the different smells. I can tolerate cocoa butter though.

Have you ever inhaled helium? Yeah, a few times.
Does it make you cringe when people pop their knuckles? Yeah, even though I crack all my own joints too.
How old were you when you learned Santa isn't real? I never believed in Santa. My parents raised me to believe it was just a fun game or tradition. We still did mince pies and leaving milk and a carrot for Rudolph but it was just fun, not because I was ever taught Santa was real.
How many pairs of jeans do you own? About four or five but I rarely ever wear jeans anymore, more leggings and jeggings.
Do you like pickles? No. Unfortunately for me, Mike loves them and buys them constantly and they just absolutely stink the house out, lol.
Do you respect authority? It depends on the situation. Our government? No. A policeman who stopped me? Yes, probably.
Do you know any card tricks? No.
Do you have any friends with the same first name as you? Yeah, my neighbour and I actually share the same name.
Have you ever had hair extensions? No.
What was the last paper you wrote about? Whatever the last exam I took at school was. I think it was history.
What was the last book you read? Alice by Christina Henry.
If you could have any accent, which would you choose? Australian, Scottish or Irish.
Do you like bubble wrap? Definitely. When I worked in a shop I’d always take the bubble wrap home with me to pop, lol.
Do you like your driver's license pic? No, but I mean, nobody ever really sees it anymore.
Do you ever wear clothing of the opposite sex? Sometimes.
Do you kiss on the first date? Yeah, I think I pretty much always have done.
What magazines do you read? None.
Have you ever been in a wedding? Just my own.
Have you ever stolen anything? Yeah, bits of stationary from work and also pic n mix and a ring when I was a teenager, though the ring was totally accidental and I was mortified when I realised what had happened, lol.
Have you ever taken karate classes? Nope.
Did you ever own a classic Nintendo? No. I was never allowed games consoles growing up.
Do you like camping? No. I like my home comforts too much.
How many states have you lived in? None.
How many ringtones have you downloaded for your phone? None. I just use whatever comes with the phone - it’s on silent 99% of the time anyway, lol.
Have you ever given flowers to someone? Sure. I get them for my mum ever year on Mothers’ Day.
Do you have a passport? Not anymore - it expired and I haven’t bothered to renew it what with all the COVID travel restrictions going on.
Have you ever been to a planetarium? Yeah, I always loved stuff like that as a kid.
Have you ever ridden a motorcycle? As a passenger, yeah.
Have you ever had plastic surgery? No.
What's your favorite kind of donut? Ones filled with fresh cream and raspberry jam.
