Welcome to Maple Grove! This is a custom hood I've been playing off and on the past few years. I finally made it to round 10 and I'm super excited to start sharing my gameplay! This hood is mostly custom families, with some premades, plus Bluewater Village added on. First up will be the Gardner household.

Lee, Robert, Helen, and Dylan

Lee's father was a firefighter and in Coloma, there really wasn't a choice except follow in his footsteps. Still, he dreams of bigger and brighter things. Maybe he would have been able to follow those if he and Helen hadn't gotten married so quickly. Still they do love each other, and even though Helen has dreams of her own, fantasizes about romances of the sort she reads about, about living a life where she isn't a mother and a wife and nothing else, neither of them regret their marriage or their children.

Helen is a sim by jesstheex (possibly ewa?) and unfortunately I have no idea about Lee. Every time I think I may have made him I think, hmm maybe not. Either way, I am officially not claiming him so if you have any idea please let me know.

Castillo: Winter Year 1

Winter means snow for Prosperity Pointe, which means snowmen dotting the pavement.

And a nice, warm bath after to warm up. Leonardo is pretty happy with his life with his boys.

Mateo is thrilled to be getting promoted at his new job.

And that his awesome grades are giving Grandma more free time.

It's a good thing Mateo has achieved so much as a teen- it's time to age up!

A handsome young man, if you ask me (and I made him in CAS). He immediately rolled the want to move out, so he will be out on his own once the season ends.

Leaving just Leonardo and Liam.

Now an adult, Mateo wants to head out on the town, AKA the only community lot I was permitted to build per the rules.

Nothing like meeting a Bella Swan and Scooby Doo during a match of strip poker.

Especially when the game turns romantic. Very passionate as well.

Meanwhile at home, Shirley has reached the end of her life. Grim came to collect, even though she wasn't ready yet. Leonardo took it in stride, over his fights with his mother over how he raises his boys.

With that, Mateo moved out and winter gave way to spring sunshine.

At midsummer, Athena gave birth to her two alien babies, Eoghan and Bran. Dongsool was besotted with the two boys, so happy to experience the new born moments he couldn't with Perseus.

As Dongsool and her children slept that night, Athena put her plan into action and packed her bags. Conniving as she always was, she had never intended to stick around, but had been reluctant, knowing it would mean cutting all her ties to Lumelia and her friends. Family she wasn't too bothered about. Since her and her brother-in-law Victor's affair had become an open secret, they had obviously taken Hera's side and shunned Athena more and more. Luckily for Hera, Victor wouldn't be able to be tempted by Athena any time soon.

Unbeknownst to her, Perseus watched his mother leave, abandoning him for the second time in his life, feeling a hurt no one else could ever understand.

Finding Dongsool caring for the fussing twins, Perseus broke down into his father's arms, telling him what he had seen. With Dongsool's heart breaking four times over for himself and his three sons, he made a vow to protect those boys with his life, and to do his best to right Athena's wrongdoing.

With the twins settled and Perseus home from school catching up on some sleep , Dongsool stepped outside to take in some air and think about all the events over the past few weeks. Berating himself for ever falling for Athena in the first place, but he could not be so angry as it had brought him now three sons he loved with all his heart.

He was pulled from his musings by a woman he had noticed walk past a few times. He didn't recognise her as a local, and she looked lost. Asking if she needed a hand, Pasha admitted to Dongsool that she had recently moved to the area and had gotten a little lost walking back from the town centre. Dongsool introduced himself and welcomed her to the neighbourhood before directing her on her way, wishing her the best.

Far away in the City, Athena found a job at a new school, and moved in with Agatha, a young lady who worked at the post office and rented out rooms in her late parents home. Athena had called her friends in Lumelia to let them know she was leaving, but hadn't disclosed to anyone where she had gone. Not yet at least. For now, Agatha was the only person she knew in her new life.

Rosemary starts her day making a nice breakfast for the family. There'll be no cereal or toaster pastries on her watch.

Cecelia excitedly tells her parents about her plans to study robotics and her idea to build a servo that can help out at the toy store.

Cory couldn't hide his initial reaction. A servo? He wanted to pass the business to his flesh and blood not a soulless robot.

Rosemary tried to be supportive but Cory was really apprehensive.

He quickly changed the subject.

"You could make some babies instead of servos to fill up this big empty house."

Cecelia promptly left the table.

Back Over at Sim State

Demeter, Fuschia and Poindexter have finished their Junior Year.

The other eight over at Sim State Dorm are like ships passing in the night most days. They usually meet up when they're hungry or finishing final exams.

They've completed their Sophomore Year.

I have a third batch of the kids started at Sim State, too. I thought it would be easier if I had everyone go to one college so I only had to go from lot to lot instead of hood to hood. We'll see how that goes. Funny thing, you'd think the kids would run into each other here and there on campus or as walk-by's but they haven't so far. The above pic shows Houdyhell and Hagrid outside the small house they rented together. Ramona has joined the Bright household across the street. Izzy, Indigo, and Isobel are at the Pinenut Plaza Dormitory. I think I only got as far as moving them all in with Houdyhell and Hagrid having their majors picked before I heard Delilah calling for attention. (Or was that one of the toddlers?)

Formally funnycleversim, been gone from the community for about 3 years some where around 2020, maybe. I still have The Sims 2 installed on my pc, and I am slowly taking interest in the game again. I really interested in creating some custom neighborhood and I am wondering what the latest most popular beautification mods are and any other amazing mods that have come out in the past few years. I left around the time Criquette was releasing his Rural set. I am looking for hood deco, sky's, trees, boats, any mods that are helpful in an integrated town. Defaults that cut down on Downloads folder size. Thanks for any ideas.
