I do find it funny that 'Starfleet Academy' is presumably going to be about, like, teenagers or twenty-somethings, and yet the only two casting announcements that have been made so far are respected thespians over fifty years old.
Maybe it's like self check-out, maman. If we're the ones promoting and begging for what we want, they can spend less on marketing. But I'm so tired of begging, maman. We have a whole laundry list of Trek stuff we want, maman. It's a big list. But let's talk about what they're giving us instead, as revealed at SDCC:

This afternoon I was drawing a Disco crossover for the fall buffer and I realized there's no reason it couldn't be an SFA crossover. I mean, I don't know what any of the characters look like yet (even the legacy characters will have different uniforms, I read somewhere that each show is legally required to have their own which is why SNW's Enterprise uniforms are different from Disco's) (come to think of it, that must be why DS9's were different from TNG's, and why DS9's changed about when Voyager started) but at this point of the summer what goes into the buffer won't be coming out till next spring and there ought to be at least previews and publicity by then. So now I've drawn my first SFA crossover even if their panel in it is mostly blank still.
College and university drama but with sci-fi??? um, yes please!!! I cannot wait to see new young characters getting to live out my dream (and theirs)??
