So like, everyone loves Nemo, but is their anyone he hates?

Asking the hard questions, I see. This is what my degree is for (it’s actually for media production and cinema and screen studies but-) I’ll answer based upon if he was with my builder, Scout.

Scout and Nemo are meant to be, your honor.

Yan. 100000%. He does not like him at all. He becomes subject to harsh pushing to the side when Nemo accidentally wanders into his path. He’s been pushed off the edge of the stairs to the commerce porch when he was sleeping. Yan wouldn’t let him into the building during a sandstorm when everyone thought someone else had taken him in. But he could bear it. It was fine.

Until Scout adopts him.

While she protects him and he realizes he’ll never know harm and neglect again- he’s been witness to times where Yan has caused her emotional stress. He senses the frustration and her hitting her breaking point despite keeping her features blank as best as she can. And Nemo hates it. He can’t fix it. And he knows that Yan is the cause.

He’ll hold it against him- associate that negativity his owner feels with all the things he knows make this man up. He hates him and begins to growl at him on sight when he’s in Scout’s hold and Yan begins to come closer to her space.

If Scout isn’t there? Nemo avoids him at all costs.

He has though chewed on his hat before and pissed in his shoes.

In the light of the newest update, I’ve remade my Sandrock tierlist.

(I’m also considering making a tierlist with all the characters in it, Logan, Haru, Trudy, and the pets included. Trudy and Nemo are easily S tier.

Currently having a lil play about with My Time At Sandrock, the sequel to My Time At Portia which I really enjoyed. Think Stardew Valley in glorious 3D.

I really shouldn't be starting anymore games till I've finished the 3 I've got on the go (Starfield, Like A Dragon, and Lost Judgement. As the last two are set in the same universe and use the same control scheme (bar the combat system in LAD, which is turn based) they're very easy to switch between).

Not to sound shallow, but there are so many lovely ladies in Sandrock to pursue a relationship with, I can't choose, gah! I'm thinking maybe Heidi. But then there's Catori. And Grace. Also Amirah. Or Venti.

I may have to date them all.

Also Nemo the dog is adorable and I *will* have him.

I will die with this ship. They’re the purest things alive and if I don’t see them in a future game, married and together, I will riot.

-I don’t even need to say it, but I will anyways.

-Andy fell first.

-Andy got to hear all kinds of stories from Logan and Haru about this little girl that he was just a bit older than. How they revered her like a little sister and spoiled her.

-Jasmine’s crush develops over time without her knowing. And she remains unaware of her feelings for years to come until she’s edging into becoming a young adult.

-literally everyone in town knows about Andy’s crush and undying love for the girl but her (but that’s another post for another time).

-remember how I said Andy is the fastest runner and can even beat Jasmine? How they have bets and races? He’ll sometimes let her win just to make her smile

-they’re both a charmer in their own right. Really, the whole town spoils them. They’re just both unaware that they’re charming to the other. Granted, Jasmine remains unaffected by his charms until they grow older and it becomes gradually harder to ignore the effect he has on her.

-boy is so whipped and smitten. It only grows stronger the older they get.

-tourists have tried to start a small romance with him over the years, but to no avail. Andy literally only has eyes for Jasmine and this ain’t no Grease story

-Jasmine has had crushes on other boys though over the years, much to Andy’s dismay. He fights through it with an encouraging smile and hopes that the family will leave Sandrock like the rest or that those that live nearby, like Burgess and Haru once did, will frequent the town less.

-you know those pacts a pair of best friends will make when they’re young? Jasmine and Andy made one do those.

-when they’re a certain age and still single, they’ll get married and stay together. Jasmine sees it as a financial benefit at first, Andy sees it as a sign of hope.

-god, I wanna cry for this boy

-Andy makes it so blaringly obvious that he’s in love with her and has been, the signs becoming stronger over the years while still subtle and she’s like “he’s become such a great guy since I first met him. What a fantastic friend🥰”

-after apologizing profusely for having circled the murderer character’s name in her book and thinking it was his- the two decide to start their own “thing” where they both read books at the same time when they’re free, and write in the book with their own opinions, theories and thoughts. Then they trade the books for the others to read. They keep it going even when they eventually marry and build a life together.

-Miguel is just happy that they’re consuming so much text and books. He’s not gonna question it. They’re reading more than kids their age typically do. This is good, this he can get behind.

-lmao it is so obvious when they get into a fight.

-Jasmine is a blushing red of angry and suddenly finds herself at the Blue Moon, grumbling under her breath while still trying to mind her manners as Owen slowly pushes a plate of cookies in her direction while side-stepping out of view

-and Andy is literally quiet and sulking around the whole day. He can’t apologize until she’s ready, they both know that (even if he’s not at fault 💀). Don’t be too surprised if you find the kid laying on the ground curled up around Nemo staring off blankly while stroking his fur. He’s fine.

-when a fresh batch of tourists come in, the two tend to stick close only because of how crowded it gets. Not because a whole lot of people come in, but because they’re not used to Sandrock and they just take up a lot of space in their wandering.

-oh, but if they’re older and those tourists coming in are their age and students traveling around for their study? It’s no surprise that the two are everywhere together to give the illusion that their friend is taken.

Hestia ended up adopting Nemo a few months into living in Sandrock - the workshop life got incredibly lonely at times, and Hestia, as an incredibly social person, wanted to have someone around to keep him company while he worked. Nemo is a loving (and spoiled) companion, and when he isn’t being fawned over by Hestia, is always out exploring for some scraps to bring home!

Hestia also has a horse called Apollo for when he needs to travel long distances. He’s a white coated horse, and extremely friendly.

10. What’s their house like? Is it well decorated? Do they take pride in their home or let it get messy?

Being friends with Heidi comes with it’s perks. Hestia lives in a sizeable, comfortable house on the outskirts of Main Street. The inside reflects her love for cute things - brightly coloured with rustic furniture all painted to match. She hangs up every poster and painting that she finds while ruin diving, so much so that her house is starting to look more like an art museum. As much as he tries to keep on top of keeping his house clean, with the tiring work he does, it’s not uncommon for it to slip his mind, and for the mess to pile up.

14. What’s their favourite game at the Golden Goose?

Punch-o-tron, closely followed by Whac-a-Mole! He finds the adventure game plain confusing, and Space Pilferers always manages to stress him out to no end.

Nope! While Hestia is certainly strong, and definitely punching above her weight, there’s still a long way to go before she can beat Pen. Can’t outdo the doer! He’ll always approach him if he fancies a challenge, though.

1. Are they from Sandrock? If not, where were they born? Domi was born in Highwind! She follows the builder blueprint (hehe) pretty closely so she moved to Sandrock as a builder :)

3. Which city state would they most like to visit, and why? Tallsky! It sounds beautiful for starters but also Mi-an is from there… it’d love to visit her family someday.

6. What’s their opinion on the Church of the Light? Ewe’s pretty apathetic for the most part. On one hand ewe can understand the fear it stems from and the desire to stay away from the dangerous technology that brought about the downfall of the world centuries ago, but on the other hand it might not hurt to explore it in a safe way.

10. What’s their house like? Is it well decorated? Do they take pride in their home or let it get messy? (ok ingame her house is a bit all over the place bc im lazy so im just going to answer this how it Would be in an ideal world <3) It’s fairly minimalistic and simple but with cute ornaments strewn about! She treasures any and all gifts and loves to decorate with them. Things do tend to get a little messy as she’s always busy and often forgets to take care of herself, nevermind her home, but it’s a well-loved space.

19. What’s their favourite season? Spring! It doesn’t do well in the freezing cold but summer is too hot for it (especially summer in Sandrock). Sandrock’s spring is a nice temperature :)

Domi frequents Fang’s clinic as ewe suffers from bad stress headaches. It’s something that ewe just has to live with and ewe refuses to let it get in the way of ewe’s job. Ewe always has ibuprofen on hand incase a headache hits while ewe’s out and about.

She has autism (bc i also have autism so all my ocs are autistic by default <3) and goes nonverbal occasionally! It’s usually brought on by dealing with too many people at once but sometimes it just happens. She tries to avoid people in order to let herself recharge but if she has to run errands she’ll bring a notepad and pen with her so she can write to talk :) Her Sandrock pals are all used to this (especially fang you cannot tell me that man does not have autism and doesnt also go nonverbal. he totally gets it) and are accommodating!

It writes poetry in the evening to wind down before it sleeps. It’s shy about sharing it with anyone but it’s written Mi-an, Nia and Heidi love letters with poetry in them so they’ve seen them :)

Speaking of women. I know we don’t have Nia in Sandrock yet but Domi’s endgame is polydating Mi-an, Nia and Heidi! Mi-an and Nia live with ewe and are also dating each other (i think they’d be cute) while Domi is dating Heidi by herself :) I also know this won’t be possible ingame but I’m quietly hoping someone makes a polymod 🤞

Domi’s Nemo is named Muffin! She also has a Palomino horse named Vanilla and a white horse named Marshmallow (i think i had to name it smth like mallow ingame bc marshmallow wouldnt fit but its meant to be called marshmallow hehe). I would really like her to have a goat as well…pwease Pathea🥺

It’s weirdly lucky and the four leaf clover necklace is one of its most treasured accessories!

Domi and Nia had a mutual crush on each other for years but never addressed it until Domi moved to Sandrock and realised just how much ewe missed her. Ewe then fell in love with Mi-an and Heidi too and things got confusing but everything was discussed and they’re cool with ewe being poly <3 Mi-an also fell in love with Nia so she got Two !!! girlfriends #lovewins

Domi looooooooooves Logan (platonically. she is a lesbian) they’re besties and really close. When he asked her to take care of Andy she practically adopted the little guy (she loves andy a lot too btw).  I don’t have anything else to add yet since he’s not in town but it felt important to mention
