So I was thinking about this one scene from jwct s2.
In episode 4, Yaz challenges Kenji to a race and he declines because he says she always cheats.
Yaz used to be a major track star and cheating did not seem like her style, she won because she worked and trained hard.
Then she went to Jurassic World and injured her ankle.
Based on the amount of running she had to do on a daily basis to survive, her ankle probably never fully healed and it was re-injured after running from the Scorpius Rex.
After getting off the islands, I’m assuming she could not go back and compete professionally due to her injury but she still adored running.
Thus my theory abt the line in s2 ep4. Over the years with the camp fam, Yaz would challenge them to races and start a cheating habit to keep winning despite her injury.
They noticed and continue to tease her for it but don’t make a big deal out of it because they know how much she adores running and winning and how her career as a track star was taken from her

Like what the hell did Wu base this on?! Looks like something from my nightmares. I'm with Masrani about this, that thing does NOT need to be public knowledge.

Hybrid defender since 2015. JW post.
In this house, we defend the hybrids. Every single one. Indominus rex? Victim. Indoraptor? Victim. Scorpios rex? Double victim. And whatever mutants show up in the next movie? Also victims. It has never, ever been their fault. They didn’t ask to be born. They didn’t hatch with some grand evil plan to destroy everything. They were made that way. They were forced into existence by greedy corporations and, most of all, by Henry Wu’s absolute god complex.
Let’s talk about Wu for a second because I refuse to let this man off the hook. The hatred I have for this man has been brewing for a decade; and the things I would do to his character if I could would send me to the electric chair with no water added. Wu has been at this since 1993. He knows what he’s doing. He knows the risks. He knows that every time he plays god, something awful happens. And yet, instead of learning his lesson, he just keeps pushing it further. He made Indominus deliberately unstable, left it isolated for months, and then acted surprised when it snapped. He designed Indoraptor to be sensitive to pain just so it would follow human orders. He abandoned Scorpios like it was garbage because it wasn’t "perfect" enough for him. Every single time, it’s the same story: Wu screws up, the dinosaurs suffer, and then everyone blames them.
And let’s not forget the corporations that fund this madness. Masrani Global, Eli Mills, Mantah Corp—all of them were just as guilty. They didn’t care about the animals they were creating. They saw them as weapons, theme park attractions, products. And the hybrids paid the price. Indominus spent its entire life alone, in a cage, going insane. Indoraptor was tortured for research and died scared and in pain. Scorpios was so unstable it didn’t even recognize its own kind. Every single one of them was made to be dangerous, given no chance at a real life, and then blamed when things went exactly as expected.
And I can already hear people gearing up to say, “But they killed people!” Yeah, NO SH1T SHERLOCK. What do you think happens when you build something in a lab, give it predatory instincts, let it suffer its entire existence, and then throw it into a world it doesn’t understand??!That’s not on the dinosaurs. That’s on the people who created them, locked them up, and then acted like shocked Pikachu when things went bad. You don’t get to play god, design an animal to be a nightmare, and then blame them for reacting; a very valid reaction btw because let's not forget the fact that the hybrids are completely new, they are trying to understand where they sit in the ecosystem. That’s like setting a fire and then getting mad at the flames.
And now we’re getting new mutants in the next Jurassic movie, and I already know people are going to start calling them monsters. I’m not having it. Whatever happens, whatever chaos unfolds, it’s not their fault. If they attack, it’s because they were made to attack. If they lash out, it’s because they don’t know any other way to survive. Just like Indominus. Just like Indoraptor. Just like every hybrid before them. They never had a chance. They were set up to fail from the moment they hatched.
Leave my babies alone, everything is Wu's fault.
So no, I will not blame the hybrids. I will not call them monsters. I will not act like they were “too dangerous to live.” The only monsters in Jurassic Park are the humans who keep making the same mistakes over and over again.

"If the Indomonstrum was a success, what kind of crazy was Scorpatrum?"
(Scopios Rex/Scorpion + Atrocious + Tyrantrum/tantrum)
This is definitely the weakest of the hybrids, which does make sense given thats its genome consists of only a few particularly strong pokemon. Originally, I was going to make it Poison/Dragon as Tyrantrum is its base genome, however, I decided against this as the Scorpios Rex is less draconic and more malevolent. It was sort of difficult to find good suiters for its DNA composition to match the Scorpios Rex as A) there is no pokemon that is based on the Scorpion Fish yet, B) no pokemon can asexually reproduce and C) there are not many tree frog pokemon.
So in order to keep Scorpatrum's name relevant, I made it part Drapion to still keep that part of its name. I also gave it the DNA of Overqwil so it still has those venomous spikes. As for the asexual reproduction, we'll just say that it naturally has the ability to do so thanks to a mutation in its genome. Then as for tree frog dna which gives it the ability to climb, there were only a few possible donors who could match that description. The first that came to mind were the Greninja line as they have similar capabilities as the tree frog, I remembered something from my old Frog special interest days. That being poison dart frogs can climb trees like tree frogs, and that Toxicroak is based on Tree Frogs. So that is where Scorpatrum gets its climbing abilities from.
As for other aspects of its DNA, Seviper was there to add to give Scorpatrum's tail a weaponized boost as well as the instinct to use that tail for fights. And given that Seviper is a snake, this would also provide Scorpatrum the ability to use thermal senses, hypothetically of course. Then theres Salazzle DNA. Salazzle gave Scorpatrum two things: to be only female and to have the ability corrosion. Now Salazzle only has this ability due to it being poison/fire type, and her body spewing flames when using her various moves is a byproduct of that. This leads into the unintentional self-harm that Scorpatrum's signature move causes.
The tyrantrum and archeops DNA need no explanation as the Scorpios Rex is part rex and raptor. You can see their features most prominently in the head's deformed sharp and the sickle claw on its toe. And by the way, yes, Archeops does have that toe claw. As shown below.
Scorpatrum's shiny form is based on the first Scorpios Rex we see in Camp Cretaceous with darker skin coloration. Not a great shiny, I know, but they can't all be perfect.
Signature Move:
Savage Slash Type: Poison Physical Damage: 100 Accuracy: 100 PP: 5 Description: The user ignites its weaponized tail in a particularly toxic fire and then whips it at the target to deal an incredible amount of damage and poison them. This attack will still do a regular amount of damage even if the target resists or is immune to the attack. The attack will inflict burn on the user however.
Other Moves:

DISTORTUS REX REIMAGINED
Yep, hello everyone! Have you watched Rebirth? I haven't, but I have a bit of interest in the Jurassic World franchise... And I think they did the whole mutant thing really badly. Moreover, "mutants" are just a tricky way of introducing literal monsters: previous hybrids at least look like dinosaurs and I kind of liked them a lot, but this "Rex" and the mutadons are literally some abominations from the MonsterVerse (I don't mean that they are bad concepts, they just don't fit in this cinematic universe well).
But you CAN make cool and realistic mutants. Like we know a lot about numerous intresting genetic illnesses! And some of them are really eye-catching in a bit scary way! Also, there are conjoined twins phenomenon, especially parasitic ones. Whith all of that we haave basically endless possibilities, and you, Universal, make another "symbiosis of species", more lame than Scorpius. WHY YOU DONT MAKE A REAL MUTANT?
So I do some concept. Not peak design, but at least it does look like distorted Rex mutant, not some MUTO forgotten child (also dude get fancy strips) and whith this changes save featches from new film. And yes, they a twins now) and do command work to survive. Bros can be a really intresting characters becouse of their biology!
By the way, Indominus and Distortus crybaby stories a but similar... maybe? Nevermind, I also give brothers сleft lips. And swollen noses (tumor may work better, but I dont have mood for to draw it).
And this is just remake of this animal of surface level. It can be cooler! But will be sell better then modern design? Can it be base for some fancy Mattel toy? I dunno. And honestly, don't care to much.
But what you think?

The D Rex Is Just Another Problem With The Jurassic World Franchise
Jurassic World Rebirth appears to be continuing on the path of making the Jurassic World films diverge even further from the original aim for scientific accuracy, by putting the focus on hybrids again!!
So in the trailer for Jurassic World Rebirth it is revealed we are getting another flipping hybrid, which looks even less like a dinosaur. According to Gareth Edwards it's design is based on a Rancor and Xenomorph, while still technically a being a dinosaur. "'When you make a creature, you get a big, massive pot and you pour in your favorite monsters from other films and books,' he explained, sharing that Alien's Xenomorph, Return of the Jedi's Rancor, and the T-Rex from the original Jurassic Park movie were all influences. "Some Rancor went in there, some H.R. Giger went in there, a little T. rex went in there…," Source: CBR 'Some Rancor Went in There': Jurassic World Rebirth Director Reveals Monster Influences for New Mutant Dinosaur by Lee Freitag
It just seems like they wanted to make a movie monster film, rather than a film about dinosaurs with a strive for scientific accuracy like the original film. This is further backed up by the fact that they are still using the inaccurate raptor designs in this film that takes place 5 years after Jurassic World Dominion. They just don't care.
The D-Rex is also not that special, it just another hybrid in the ever growing list of hybrids. The Indominus Rex a terrible excuse of a hybrid dinosaur that has been cheapened by the continuous introduction of brand new monster of the week hybrid dinosaurs like the Indoraptor and now the D. Rex.
The only time this concept actually was done well in the world films was Camp Cretaceous with the Scorpius Rex, aka the only saving grace of the world series. Though it is also no longer as special as it could be, now that we are getting yet another hybrid. It would be like if the Pokemon games took away Mewtwo's novelty and specialness by having at least 4 other clones like them, all with the purpose of them being the strongest Pokemon. Or if there was 5 other ultimate lifeforms in the Sonic games.
