The child gasped softly. "Cake do aventures..." They whispered this, staring at the purple drone as their tail wagged a little bit in excitement. "Is means... Can tell stories? Aventures stories?"

Hafiz chuckled at the child's awe.

A figure flew through the night sky, purple and blue lights shining through the dark. They soon landed down in what to them seemed like a clearing.

It was Cake and Bird. "Okay, this is what we get for not paying attention." The purple hybrid murmured, her voice a bit defeated. She was wearing a pair of dark blue shorts with a thick baby blue trim along with what looked like a thin jersey that matched the shorts and matching snow boots.

"I don't know if this is a clearing or a meadow." The blue Solver Drone noted, looking around in an attempt to figure out where they were. She was wearing a blue-purple gradient shirt with white stitching in it, like it was trying to mimic stars. She was wearing black standard boots, a backpack comfortably on her back.

"Don't meadows have flowers?"

"I mean, maybe? I don't know..."

Hafiz was out, settled on a blanket with a camera propped up at the edge of the trees. His face was in his phone, a coat on his shoulders as it was a bit chilly this time of year, though nothing to warrant much more than a thicker coat.

It was the movement that got his attention. White eye-lights looked up to see the confused pair not too far away, and he chuckled a bit. "Visit again they are."

And then what he was watching for showed up, which made him stare a little.

Th-thump. Th-thump. Th-thump. Large stubby feet easily crunched the grass as the plated creature wandered up. Four legs, one head, four eyes, and an impressive set of natural plate armor. The pair of drones were easily shorter than it's elbow joint, the stubby tail hard to see beyond its girth as large teeth were clearly chewing on something that crunched far too loudly with each move of the jaw.

Thankfully, it wasn't angry seeming, though it was clearly dangerous. Hafiz took the moment to give a sharp whistle, earning a lazy grumbling sound from the beast as it lowered its head toward a large nearby stone, plucking the item up.

The drone waved the back of his hand, easy to see in the dark of the night, to get the attention of the pair and beckon them over to his stake out spot.

Ive been shying away from drawing/writing anything with fake peppino bc frankly ur right; there IS so much going on with him 😭 so much so that it almost feels impossible to settle on something concrete 😭 This is also bc I link Fake Peppi and Pizzahead together, which means I also have to work on characterizing that punk 😭😭😭 But I will still try to get my thoughts out

I JUST TALKED ABOUT FAKE PEPPI AND DIDNT WRITE A SINGLE INTERACTION. SO UM. THIS ASK IS NOW ABOUT FAKE PEPPI AND ONLY FAKE PEPPI IM SO SORRY 😭😭😭😭😭 ILL GO MORE IN DEPTH W DYNAMICS N SUCH SOME DAY BUT NOT TODAY)

Fake Peppino is Not the first clone; hes one of the Last ones Pizzahead worked on. The ones you see in the war level are the closest, appearance wise, to Peppino, but they arent the brightest and will often behave like [insert test subject] but with Peppinos face on it. The emphasis on appearance first resulted in some physically identical, but otherwise, dull witted clones.

Fake Peppi was the first attempt at replicating Peppinos actual personality over appearance and it works moderately well, its just that. Hes a little funky lookin. Which is okay! Its the first attempt !! He’ll get more time to try again! They give Fake Peppi a little run down shop to manage (that he almost immediately converts into a pizzeria) while they work on perfecting the clones. But then Peppino actually storms the tower after being threatened w the Pizzeria Begone Beam, and hes tearing through portals so quickly that Pizzahead literally has No Time to try and work on these new clones. Fake Peppi is the First of this new experimental line of clones, and hes one of the Last. (Said bc i do intend on making my own little peppi clone someday heehee)

Fake Peppi passes as a pretty Normal creature. Hes a bit Tall but not absurdly above average. I drew him pretty goopy and lanky on my first (and only ) attempt at drawing him, but the more i think about it, the more I want him to just be a taller, slightly offputting Peppino. I like the idea someone had of Fake Peppi mimicking the stylized, cartoonish logo design of the pizzeria, so hes got a bit of a doofy lookin face. Its very round, with soft looking eyes and permanent blush on his cheeks. When hes trying to look Less Scary (bc he is a bit aware now that hes a little Off), you can see his mouth on his face like a Normal person. When hes relaxed and/or unfocused, it kind of just. Disappears. It makes his face look kind of like a little butt or a peach heehee

Fake Peppi acts pretty similarly to Real Peppino. Hes quick to anger, and quick to frighten. Hes a bit of a goof and he likes to entertain (which completely threw pizzahead off; hes like thats. Not right? Is it??). He has more or less the same mental capacity as Peppino, shares similar skills and hobbies, and enjoys the same kinds of food that Peppino does (with mild variation). Hes very relaxed and easygoing with a tendency to act a fool and be a little playful, which leads Pizzahead to believe that despite what hes personally seen (from stalking this poor man), Peppino is Also inherently a bit of a fool and a little playful and also capable of being relaxed and easygoing.

Fake Peppi is prone to the same kind of anxiety and panic attacks that Peppino has, only he does not have decades of experience with them to know how to manage it. So the time he spends with Pizzahead is Not the smoothest. The combination of Just Being Created and having Crippling Panic Attacks leaves him with an almost Blank Slate, memory wise, by the time hes left with the pizzeria. When Pizzahead visits Fake Peppi again to give him the lift key; hes basically a stranger to him :0

(Peppino tries to help with some grounding techniques for panic attacks, but since they Both default to self soothing stims, hes not that much help 😭)

Conversations are as smooth as they can be with his garbled speech; he can understand what hes being told, and he will write down what he Wants to say with pen and paper. Eventually, he ‘upgrades’ to a phone with proper text to speech, so he uses that quite often. I know the backwards speech is canon (or at the very least extremely popular) but its very hard for me to read and parse in my head, so i am deciding against that 😭

Hes hard to understand bc despite having a similar vocal pitch to Peppino (a bit high), it rubberbands in a way that makes it sound incredibly croakey and scratchy. The more excitable he is, the more incoherent he becomes. With (immense) effort, he can speak clearly, but its almost as difficult as someone trying to suppress their stutter; hes much more comfortable using his phone to talk. I can see him learning sign language at some point; Peppino does Not know sign language but he IS capable of learning, which means Fake Peppi is Also capable of learning.

Overall Fake Peppi is Peppino with enough variance to give him his own personality. Some of the things he does shines a bit of a light on Peppinos personality; its like, if Peppino DIDNT have to struggle with a failing business and crippling debt and being drafted into a fucking war, what kind of Peppino would you get? And as a surprise to Pizzahead, its a relatively sweet and goofy guy!! And if he took the time to interact with the Real Peppino instead of an idealized version of him (like pepperman and vigilante have started doing) then he would see that. Oh well.

B hummed. "I can make some assumptions based off of that statement..." she sighed softly. "It... worries me a little, but..." she shrugged, looking over as the tornado twins arrived.

"Oh man, double trouble." Alex laughed a bit as she stepped over to help. As Tera and Bishop had one twin each, she helped Kiara stand with a crooked smile. "You alright girlie?"

"We should probably help... Alex I think those two are the 'me friends' that Scraps mentioned."

"Oh! That picture they drew!" The human giggled a bit. "They certainly match!"

The jungle is the jungle, nothing seeming amiss aside from a very small creature that seems to be deciding it wants to bother a very large creature. The sights and smells are the same.

For the most part.

Eucalyptus seems to break the monotony. Along with the faintest hint of... Vanilla? Sugar? It was something. The faint voices came next, words hard to catch before the clear crunch of what had to have been an aluminum can.

The good thing for the voices is that Tera is currently taking a cat nap on a warm rock.

She's splooted out like a cat, tail limp and it's eyes closed, she can't sun bathe- so she settles for heat bathing.

c!Benchtrio could be interesting if they really leaned into the whole "Ranboo saw Tommy at his worst but didn't do anything and barely knows him as a person, and Tommy kinda resents him for that/Tubbo and Ranboo are close because of NLM when Ranboo was the only one who stuck around, but Tubbo's not open about his past/Tommy kinda feels like Tubbo replaced him and Tubbo feels like he doesn't know Tommy anymore but they're still best friends" complicated dynamic. Which they kinda do but they've interacted twice as a trio in canon so 🤭

i actually wanted to find a screenshot of the part of the manga that goes over “if a platoon fails they can be forced to never see or interact with each other ever again” but i couldn’t find where it is but i Do remember that happening. so far ive just thought of garuru blatantly allowing the keroro platoon to win and succeed and keep their jobs despite not being good at their jobs as just, being nice to giroro, his little brother wants this station so he’ll help him keep it, but this made me think Oh it would probably be SO MUCH WORSE. for All of them. if garuru did not opt to Greatly Exaggerate The Keroro Platoon’s Skills. They almost definitely could not officially quit their jobs even if they Wanted to because one way or another it would not. go well. Fail? Get permanently separated from your lifelong friends, at least. Quit and stay? Keron will just send in a new invasion team. (The good thing is, the Keroro Platoon consists of comic idiots who I’m not sure have all even fully realized they don’t want to invade, so they’re probably safe.)

Story behind the poem: I just imagined MC admiring Constantine under the stars. And thinking about all the things he must of seen in the war, the pain he keeps hidden to himself. MC wanting to be there for Constantine, make sure he knows he can talk to them if he wants.

Any chance for some protagonists with low empathy, but who aren't evil?

every time i try to do research and figure out what empathy actually is and how it manifests i just start an existential spiral of what is empathy? do i even have empathy? how much of it is nature and how much of it is nurture? how do you quantify that? what does a character with low empathy even look like? or high empathy for that matter? do i not understand because i'm bad at comprehending what i'm reading or do i not understand because i simply don't relate to/have empathy myself??

this is an ongoing existential spiral that started over two years ago btw and i still have no satisfactory answer and could not tell you what makes a believable low empathy character, so i'm, uh. still working on it. HOWEVER one of the most important parts of SNAP to me is that choice is what causes evil. there's plenty of neurodivergent folks here, or other struggling, marginalized, abused people, but it is always, always up to them to choose to "be evil". no antagonists are like that because of some inherent trait, in fact the majority of Bludgeon's character arc is just demonstrating how he has chosen over and over to be the person who hurts other people because that's what he wants, not because he can't feel bad or doesn't understand what he's doing or whatever. with low empathy specifically, when i thought of Overlord and Guiltaur's episode i wanted them to have the equivalent of ASPD, to kind of make a point of two people with the same condition in the same situation who both have to choose how they'll treat others. so i suppose sort of yes to your answer, in that Guiltaur is the "good guy" of that episode and explicitly has low empathy?

uhhhh but less officially, just more kind of, gut feeling i guess, i think Hot Rod, Laserbeak, and Brainstorm probably have low empathy, maybe also Nightracer and Wheelie (who is like 9 so this is partially just a small child thing, but it does stay into adulthood). (Shockwave post-Lenses technically counts as low empathy but this is because of corrupted relic changes/trauma and i don't want to lump that in with everyone else). on the flip side i think Deadlock, Tailgate, and Wreck-gar have very high empathy, and perhaps Red Alert. i don't really have any, i guess "diagnosis" arcs or self-discovery of the mental health/neurodivergent sort in SNAP, since i am juggling so many other things, but there's a lot about the mental processes and situations of many characters that is important and noticeable in the text, even if not explicitly stated. so just because nobody looks at the camera and announces to the audience their precise medical diagnosis for the conditions they have doesn't mean i'm not keeping it in mind while writing them
