Carved this small gallery after filling the shell with resin first, to try and make smaller windows (so it won't break).

reminds me of this one time i was going through TSA and they pulled my carry-on bag for a search. the worker asked me, "are you hauling around a bag of rocks in here or something?"

to which i replied, deadpan, "oh, yeah."

and then, for about 5 whole seconds, we stared at each other in silence, both waiting for the other one to do anything at all.

in hindsight, the disconnect was that he was being facetious, and i, autistic, which by default places us in a standoff. he waited for me to laugh at his attempt at humor. i waited for him to formally request i unearth the literal bag of rocks from my luggage.

a few beats later, he either realized i was serious, or became so uncomfortable in his own comedic failure that he just pushed my carry-on across the counter to me and said, "alright, have a good one."

i do hope he still thinks of me from time to time — with humility, of course. can't believe he took me for a woman who plays around about minerals and gemstones.

got stopped for random search by the police and pulled only this out of my pocket

A new scene, flooded ruins of amphitheatre. Eh, overdid it with the waves. Carved shell fragments, stone, quartz sand and resin in a spisula shell.
