I still wanna go on dates and meet people, my co-worker linked me and a fairy princess together and we’re supposed to go out next Sunday

I haven’t casually dated in over 6 years I’m relearning how to learn things about someone new and not someone I’ve slept next to for the last 5 years.

I got a new kitten last Sunday on impulse, my room mate found it and I decided to keep it, he’s been a huge joy in my life and helping me keep a regular morning and evening schedule. I miss taking care of another being.

I wanna work towards planning a future again instead of taking everything moments at a time

I’m doing better and caring for myself and that’s the best for me rn and that’s okay

From my position on the green, the kids seemed normal, all caught in the distraction of their youth. But as I edged nearer I noticed how freakishly odd they appeared – their heads. Their heads were huge, and their foreheads wide and round, giving them a balloon-like appearance, a condition worsened by their receding hairlines and chins, which apologetically descended from their feeble underdeveloped jaws and wide mouths. And when they laughed and grinned, many teeth, tiny and white, appeared in those mouths, too many teeth for a human to have, or so I thought. And when they turned to look at me, they did so without blinking their large black, watery eyes. Eyes that gave them such a fishlike look... … Soon all the kids were aware of my presence - more large, black, watery eyes locked upon me, but with a sense of childlike curiosity, as opposed to any malicious intent. They began to whisper and point, and giggle, huddling into one another to do so. I guessed that visitors to Invermore were infrequent, given their hyper-sense of curiosity. Despite their inquisitive nature, the children seemed timid, reminiscent of baby deer, displaying the same cervine reluctance to venture nearer to their perception of danger. Experiences— we’re meant to have them. It’s the only key to the door of our hearts. It’s the purpose for our existence. Big or small, we define our happiness based on what makes us giggly and more interestingly, what challenges us. The good, the bad and the ugly all play their role in our long lasting gratification. I’ve been watching the people I love have such bad depression and anxiety for such a long time and make such dramatic changes in their lives — it god damn inspires me! We all should be doing these big grand gestures for ourselves to find the happiness that dissipated in the shadows so long ago. These people are my heros. They stood up for themselves and never gave up even when they wanted to. The proudness I feel is astronomical. For me though, there’s no big grand gesture I’ve been craving besides this never ending need to keep learning. I never really sat down and thought about what big things I wanted in my life though. I think going to Italy would be nice so I can dive deep into the bliss of fresh pasta. I think ultimately, for me, I would like to travel anywhere that has food. Food is my direct light to the divine. I love everything about it and it’s on my mind 24-7. Is this what love feels like (😂)? I would love to travel and eat all the foods of the many different cultures inhabiting this world. From fine dining in France to street food in Thailand. It doesn’t matter to me. But one day at a time. Today, I’ll reminisce on yesterday’s fresh Burrata Toast with sweet jam, peppery arugula and crispy, salty pancetta ; the fresh soft Italian bread to snack on until my lunch arrived and the fragrant balsamic + olive oil to dip it in and don’t get me started on the hot bubbly cappuccino made with almond milk that also filled my table. 🌈🌪CHAOS &POSSIBILITY vs STRUCTURE & CERTAINTY🌪🌈 . This practice of letting go is a teacher who will confuse you like Coyote until you get to the heart of the issue. The Universe asks you to open your heart and mind, which sounds at first like a relief from all the restrictions placed on creative flow by society’s conditioning. You are then asked to trust as you step into the uncertain and you cannot see the next foothold. So you trust. Then an outcome arises within a timescale that is not quite, or at all what you had intended to manifest (and that’s what it’s about right? Getting what you want, what you think is best?) and the disappointment and disillusionment comes crashing in. The issue is that we are opening to chaos and possibility and expecting it to result in order and certainty. That is what we have been conditioned to believe in. And you will experience order and certainty at times in your life. For a time. If you are clever you may be able to continue to maintain that order. The certainty however is more difficult to retain. Everything changes. We know this. And if we are responding to a process of evolution, we will choose to take an active part in that change and the changes occurring all through our experience. If we attempt to stay in the illusion of control, we essentially prevent the opening and surrender we dedicated ourselves to in the first place. Because the choice to open and surrender is not exclusive. We can��t just open to love of a certain kind with a certain type of person who has this colour hair and such and such a background. If we open to love, (which is a force, not a formula for pairing off), all sorts of magical people may walk through our door. . And if we open to the Universe and it’s guidance, if we open to all possibility and the highest possible outcomes for our life experience, we are relinquishing our tiny concepts of what we WANT and surrendering to what the Divine wishes to manifest through us. This is what we truly desire if we trace it back to its roots. Advice needed!!! So I'm on a constant journey of self-discovery and currently reading the brilliant @ikigaibook and I am realising that my "tribe" /Community plays a big part of my overall happiness and feeling of purpose and belonging.
