So I've published three snips this month so far:
The start of a story featuring the most diehard CPS agent going against a grimdark uncaring world to make sure children get the love and attention they deserve
A continuation of a snip series where two superheroines that debuted separately in canon will instead debut as partners, in all meanings of the word
What happens when a teenage girl makes cute robots? Apparently a magic tailor drags them home for a talk with their dad. Also the ethics of cute robots are discussed.
Oh, and I made a bunch of omakes for this one Star Wars fanfic, starring trauma and potentially lesbians.
Anyway, I still need money and patrons, as per my last post. Here's my Ko-Fi, here's my Patreon, and here's my apology for not being as active on tumblr for the last month. I'm sorry. My brain hates me sometimes.

Diet Crystal Pepsi. Frito Lay Lemonade. Watermelon-flavored Oreos. Through the years, the shelves of stores have been filled with products that turned out to be flops, failures, duds, and losers. But only briefly filled with them, of course, because products like these tend to get yanked from stores quickly, leaving most consumers to wonder: Who exactly buys these things, anyway? Now a published study co-authored by two MIT professors answers that question. Amazingly, the same group of consumers has an outsized tendency to purchase all kinds of failed products, time after time, flop after flop, Diet Crystal Pepsi after Diet Crystal Pepsi. The study calls the people in this group “harbingers of failure” and suggests they provide a new window into consumer behavior. “These harbingers of failure have the unusual property that they keep on buying products that are taken from the shelves,” says MIT marketing professor Catherine Tucker, co-author of a paper detailing the study’s results. Significantly, Tucker adds, these star-crossed consumers can sniff out flop-worthy products of all kinds. “This is a cross-category effect,” Tucker explains. “If you’re the kind of person who bought something that really didn’t resonate with the market, say, coffee-flavored Coca-Cola, then that also means you’re more likely to buy a type of toothpaste or laundry detergent that fails to resonate with the market.”
Let me just say, this is a hell of a way to find out they quit making that coffee-flavored coke you liked.

VN adaption news!
Got a different sort of announcement than the usual chapter one (which I forgot until days later again…) this week! As many of you are already aware, a visual novel adaption of The Flower That Bloomed Nowhere has been tentatively in the works for a while. Since I don't really like keeping secrets for the broad-strokes details of something like this, I thought the time was ripe to do an informal 'announcement'. So here's that!
(Example of our current art and interface direction. Actual sprites and background used for this scene very much not final!)
Though honestly, there's not a lot to say. The project will be more or less a direct translation of the work into a new format, though with some… minor adjustments to the storyline, in the interests of keeping the mystery elements fresh and amending a few of the bugbears I've personally built up regarding the plotting over the years. The game will be built in Ren'py (predictably), and joining me in development will the very talented Zerovirus, who'll be handling the art, while Benedict (Cordyceps, Star Seeker in: the Secret of the Sorcerous Standoff) is helping with some of the programming. Contributing to the OST will also be Xeecee, creator of lesbian murder nun game Misericorde, with the remainder handled by myself. (At least assuming I don't flub it and end up resorting to stock music lmao)
(The character bio menu. Also WIP.)
While we're undecided on the release model, the tentative plan is to release a short free demo at some point this year. After that, we'll put out a series of further updates semi-episodically, playable through a one-time purchase on itch. This will continue until we have enough for what feels like a 'complete' release - probably 1/3rd-ish of the story? - at which point we'll put this on steam or something, then start the process over for the next segment.
…and that's it! Stay tuned for future updates. I'm obviously in the privileged position of already having a fair few fans of the work, so I'd love to get feedback from people on things like the script changes or the character designs, so we'll hopefully be showing tidbits off semi-frequently going forward. Thank you as always for reading!

The Flower-Seeker, the Robot, and the City without Faith
It's me again emerging from my mole's burrow to leave a thematic analysis piece and then bury myself again for a few more months.
Spoilers for Canto 7
CW for mentions of suicidal ideation and some death talk
Let's talk about Bari and her role in the world of Projmoon.
I think everyone who experienced LoR before Limbus was in the same camp as me upon the reveal of Bari.
Which is to say:

The chat was not normal.
But now I've had some time to cool off and actually think and Bari's position in her world is honestly kind of fascinating, especially as a take on immortal characters.
Because first and foremost, Bari has to be ancient. In a meta sense, sprites of the Book Hunter, as we knew her back then, date back all the way to Lobcorp. In universe meanwhile, she was already a long time traveller before she met Don Quixote senior and Sancho. She was there when the Associations were being established and competing for popularity. That was, on the low end, several hundred years ago. We don't know how long it took to construct La Manchaland, or how long that operated before everything fell apart and Quixote Senior sealed everyone away for 200 years.
All through this, Bari hasn't aged a day. My guess is that it's possibly thanks to the river of immortality Xichun mentions, or something else found outside the City.
And this is where we hit one of my favourite tropes - immortals passing time.
1. Remember that you will not die
One of the most interesting things to consider in fiction is the question of "What would you do if you were immortal? You'd have infinite time to do anything you desired - to travel, learn, rest. What would you do?"
Very often, humans who undergo this process in stories eventually begin to stagnate. They end up not doing anything, because internal motivation disappears. This is understandable, because, to get a little memento mori for a moment here, death is the biggest motivator we humans have - it's our time limit. You only get X amount of time to enjoy certain things, to achieve certain goals, so that at the tail end of it you'll be able to reminisce and hopefully smile before you expire. Add to it that age itself limits us, be it youth not allowing us independence or old age slowing us down and limiting us with weakness, and you can see how we are driven, at least in theory, to live life fully as long as we can.
To lose that - the constant dread of your body slowly, but surely, progressing towards failure, breaking down little by little, is to rob us of our inherent motivator. It is a very large part of being a human, really. A lot of our lives and cultures circle around this immutable fact that we don't last, and our questions regarding the why and the what comes after. Religion exists to answer most of those questions.
So... what does one do when they lose that, and become immortal without purpose?
They seek another. Or they disappear.
2. Faith (A Ruina tangent)
Before I get to Bari, it's important to examine her debut game, and the one person she interacts with (and believe me I have thoughts about it).
So, Angela. Our most beloved not-human with all the characteristics of humanity except a lifespan, and a perfect example of an immortal trying to pass time.
LoR goes to great lengths to show her desperation going back all the way to Lobcorp. It shows, quite clearly, first her inability to cope with the circumstances Ayin stuck her in, followed by her resignation to fate and a silent wish for the end. I will not mince words, Angela reads to me back then as silently suicidal, in that she's given up on any other solution to her pain but the conclusion of the play. Then, and only then, was she to be allowed to rest. She had no say in when the play would end so she could only hope it eventually would.
She yearned for death. But then, something changed. Netzach points out that indeed, though she wished for the end, she truly wanted to live. To exist, to escape her prison and to finally know this world besides the pain. That desire gave her enough humanity to manifest her own EGO.
All with the purpose of seeking the One Book that'd give her humanity, and, in her eyes, make her finally complete and able to live in happiness.
The most important part of LoR for this analysis is the Floor of Religion, and Hokma's view of faith. Honestly I'd recommend watching through all of these because it's so poignant. Or better yet, watch Hydrojoy's Angela video (the fact they've got so few subscribers with this level of analysis is a crime honestly).
youtube
youtube
Some lines I want to focus on, though, are these:
Things without purpose shall disappear. People without purpose will similarly expire.
Angela admits to herself that she doesn't know what she's doing. She's simply chasing some sort of meaning - revenge, freedom from her robotic condition, power, knowledge, anything that'll give her fulfilment.
And in the forgiveness route, she finally finds that in companionship of Roland and, I'd like to think, the Librarians.
But if she doesn't forgive, she ends up losing any purpose besides continuous revenge. There is no companionship when the Librarians turn on her for betraying them. There's no use in being human when it doesn't benefit her mission, and frankly just makes it harder because it makes her easier to harm. There's no point leaving the library when outside will not welcome her, it's much safer to stay inside forever.
There is no point to anything. Angela's revenge is hollow, really - Ayin is dead and no amount of sticking it to him will earn a response from a dead guy.
Enter the Book Hunter.
youtube
I will be honest in saying I don't fully understand what they both mean, with them speaking in sort of vague terms. It sounds like Bari was employed by Angela to kill other Book Hunters (perhaps in exchange for knowledge?).
What matters to me, though, are the final lines - the recognition of what Angela is and delivering death to the last librarian.
3. The Scholar of Meaning and the Reaper of the Meaningless
As the Limbus wiki points out, Bari is likely named after a Korean funerary goddess who sought both a healing river and a flower of immortality. But this influence strikes me especially in the context of her being an immortal who meets a lot of other (and often younger) immortals.
She's wise to the fact that all things need meaning to exist. They need an ambition, a wish, something to strive for.
So she attempts to give it to them.
This is shown not just explicitly with Quixote senior, but also with Quixote junior after Sancho gives up her memory, itself a form of death Bari guides her to. For 200 years, Bari made sure to visit Don Quixote and leave her letters so that this person who was once a dear friend may dream, may have meaning and a purpose in her immortal life.
Because you need something to drive you in life, be it becoming a legendary fixer, creating a place where Bloodfiends can live in peace with humans, or searching for a flower which grew from the mysterious rivers flowing through your world.
And if you have lost purpose and can no longer find one, if she cannot save you from that void, she will be there to put you out of your misery, for a meaningless eternity is its own sort of hell, and cruelty it perpetuates is nothing but needless.
In her own words - you must pursue your dream, even if it means wagering your life in the chase.
I think Bari's view of the Bloodfiends' illness and what Carmen describes as the disease humanity could be similar if not the same thing. Roland says in Floor of Religion's first episode that the City has no established religion - people focus on their immediate survival, suffering is everpresent, and the more organised religious-seeming groups are cults trying to exploit you.
The City has lost its purpose. People do not dream, or are not allowed to for long because those dreams are swiftly quashed. Carmen offers an out to suffering through becoming so unapologetically yourself you gain the power to enact your will on the world, for better or worse.
Bari seeks, I think, to give the same, but through simple companionship. Not cohersion, not magic, but through the same thing that has given so many people across this franchise meaning - having a friend to be there for you as you look for what drives you. Because to be alone in meaninglessness is the most cruel and difficult thing. I wonder if she knows that from experience...
I really hope we get more of Bari in the future so I can see if my analysis is more fanfiction than truth but with just the bits we have I have to say she's one of my favourite secondary characters in Limbus.

RippleClan: Moon 96
Frostpaw gets the name Frostdancer, much to Gingerpaw’s envy.
[Image ID: Frostdancer is now in a long-furred adult sprite. Under her, it reads LEVEL UP! FROSTPAW → FROSTDANCER, STRICT → CONFIDENT, LOVER OF STORIES → GREAT STORYTELLER. Gingerpaw, in the same adult sprite, watches from the back with Estherfern.]
(Frostdancer: 12, female, artisan, confident, great storyteller)
(Gingerpaw: 12, male, cleric apprentice, charismatic, curious about humans, moss-ball hunter)
(Estherfern: 130, female, cleric, adventurous, great mediator, prophecy seeker)
Asterblaze and Elmsprout reminisce about their old Clans when a WheatClan apprentice stumbles into the territory. They help him find his way home.
[Image ID: Elmsprout and Asterblaze speak with a black spotted apprentice. Asterblaze says, "We'll get you home, Fluffpaw." Under him, it reads LEVEL UP! CONSTANTLY FIDDLING WITH TOOLS → INVENTOR AND INNOVATOR.]
(Asterblaze: 43, male, caretaker, thoughtful, inventor and innovator)
(Elmsprout: 63, female, caretaker, charismatic, trusted advisor)
Icepaw gets apprenticed to Shrewflame and Pearpaw trains under Whiteflower. Puddlewhisper goes to inform Nimblestep of her kits’ apprenticeship and decision.
[Image ID: Puddlewhisper watches from afar as Shrewflame and Whiteflower guide Icepaw and Pearpaw, now in the same apprentice sprites, out of camp. Under Puddlewhisper, it says LEVEL UP! THOUGHTFUL → RIGHTEOUS, + CONDITION: MANGLED TAIL. Under Icepaw, it says LEVEL UP! ICEKIT → ICEPAW, UNRULY → FIERCE, + NEW SKILL: NEVER SITS STILL. Under Pearpaw, it says LEVEL UP! PEARKIT → PEARPAW, QUIET → RIGHTEOUS, + NEW SKILL: LOVER OF STORIES.]
---
Lettucestar and Oilstar both agreed at the Gathering that they would each apprentice Nimblestep's kits three days following the Gathering. At that time, a RippleClan patrol would meet SlugClan at the border, either with or without Icekit and Pearkit. Their absence would mark their decision. The kits had each emphatically told Puddlewhisper that they would stay in RippleClan, but as their apprenticeship drew closer and closer, Puddlewhisper couldn't help but wonder; would they change their minds?
As dawn approached, heralding the litter's apprenticeship, Puddlewhisper was the first in the nursery to wake up. All the kits were big enough that they needed their own nests, so Puddlewhisper found her side absent of warm faces. Icekit and Pearkit still had their nests close to Puddlewhisper, however. Icekit laid on his back, twitching in the depths of a dream while Pearkit laid in a peaceful lump, quietly dozing. Midnightkit and Valleykit had crawled into one another's nests over the course of the night, leaving Rattlepelt buried under her fox pelt alone. Stormjump, plump with her pregnancy, was dead to the world while Dovekit blocked Puddlewhisper's path out of the den. He had somehow gotten out of his nest and decided to sleep stretched out across the entrance like leather flooring. Puddlewhisper rolled her eyes. The sooner that odd lump of fur was in the apprentice's den, the better.
Puddlewhisper crept around Icekit and Pearkit. She nimbly stepped over Dovekit and into camp. It was still dark out, meaning that dawn patrols had yet to set out and no one had begun their day. The camp was quiet, save for the hum of the late night birds and the shifting presence of one of the caretakers outside. The waning gibbous moon hovered behind the shipwreck, turning the landmark into a dark shadow painted against Silverpelt.
To Puddlewhisper's surprise, she was not the first in camp to stir early. Paleseed hovered outside the apprentice's den, fiddling with moss. Paleseed spotted Puddlewhisper and paused with moss sticking between her claws.
"I'm just deconstructing Frostdancer's old nest," Paleseed whispered as Puddlewhisper approached. "We keep forgetting it's in here. Icekit and Pearkit can use some of this moss." Puddlewhisper nodded and sat next to her sister. A tickle crawled up her back despite the warm summer night. She stared into the empty apprentice's den and thought back to the days when all of her littermates crowded inside, eagerly sharing tales of their training deep into the night. Ripplefern's memory was a haze in the back of the den. Would she be there as Icekit and Pearkit decided on their futures?
"Puddle?" Paleseed purred, drawing her sister's eye. "Icekit and Pearkit already said they want to stay here. Why do you look so tense? Did they change their minds?"
"I don't think so," Puddlewhisper gulped. "Still… if I knew I had kin in another Clan, I would want to meet them."
"Whatever happens," Paleseed promised, grooming Puddlewhisper's neck, "you've been a good mother." Puddlewhisper licked Paleseed's ear. She bunted Paleseed's shoulder and, for a moment, pretended Nimblestep didn't exist, that she had been born a molly, that Icekit and Pearkit were forever, always, and unconditionally hers.
The pair sat in the well-trodden sand, each grooming the other as light leaked over the horizon. The Clan slowly stirred around them. Whiteflower and Shrewflame ran for the artisan's den as soon as they stirred. They nearly knocked over Downstar's almost-finished sculpture, ready to be painted and stored beside Weedfoot's image in a rocky off-shoot of the elder's den. Yarrowclaw limped out of the medicine den, her deep wound slowly forming into a neat scar. Halibutdusk, Rapidleaf, and Mitespark gathered around the fresh-kill pile, debating how they would handle the sunhigh meal.
When Dovekit charged out of the nursery and hassled Yarrowclaw, Puddlewhisper knew it was time to greet her kits. Paleseed sensed her sister shift beside her and stopped grooming her back.
"Make them look pretty for today," Paleseed hummed as Puddlewhisper headed for the nursery. Puddlewhisper stood a little taller as the den's interior came into view. Sure enough, everyone inside was awake. Midnightkit and Valleykit jogged past Puddlewhisper, leaving Rattlepelt alone to stretch and adjust her fox pelt. Stormjump stayed in her nest, weighed down with no reason to get up and go. Icekit and Pearkit whispered to each other, heads dipped low. Pearkit, however, perked up as Puddlewhisper came in.
"Mom," Pearkit said, jumping around Icekit and stopping at her mother's paws. "Do you know when Oilstar will call for the Clan?"
"I'm sure she won't wait too long," Puddlewhisper promised as Icekit joined his sister. "How do you both feel?"
"My head hurts a bit," Icekit admitted, tail twitching awkwardly, "but I'm ready to have the ceremony."
"And you both still…" Puddlewhisper gulped.
"We're staying, Mom," Pearkit promised. She bunted Puddlewhisper in the chest. "We can get to know our kin at the Gathering." Puddlewhisper purred deeply, all the trapped anxiety in her chest flooding out as she pulled Pearkit close and rapidly groomed her head. Icekit tried to step around the two mollies, but Puddlewhisper stuck out her hind leg and blocked him.
"You need to look nice for the ceremony, too," Puddlewhisper chuckled. Icekit groaned dramatically, but stayed where he was.
It wasn't long before Oilstar yowled from the top of the Shiprock, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather below the Shiprock for a Clan meeting!" By then dawn had firmly settled itself across RippleClan, the sun forming a gibbous shape against the edge of the ocean. Icekit and Pearkit's fur was groomed to perfection, with not a single curvy hair out of place. Weedfoot had the same standard of perfection for Puddlewhisper's apprentice ceremony, so why should she stray from tradition?
Icekit and Pearkit flanked their mother as they all entered the camp clearing. With the pair at either side, Puddlewhisper preened a little; her kits would never outgrow her. Pearkit was shaping up to be a rather small molly, more round than tall, while Icekit had a fairly average build. Both already looked like little warriors, though. Oilstar stood on the Shiprock, her autumn decor glowing against the sunrise. How strange it was to see her standing in Downstar's spot, overlooking all of RippleClan. And by all, Puddlewhisper meant all of RippleClan; not a single cat had left for patrol yet.
"Stand at the front of the crowd," Puddlewhisper told her kits. She slipped away from Icekit and Pearkit and found an empty spot beside Paleseed, Lavendertwist, and Waspdawn. Icekit and Pearkit stood in front of the Shiprock. RippleClan curved around them like water around a rock. Wildclaw sat at the base of the Shiprock, as was her place as the Clan's new deputy. Another strange sight.
"Apprentice ceremonies are an exciting day in RippleClan," Oilstar began, speaking loud and strong. "This ceremony is especially interesting, because today we don't just ask the young cats before us if they are ready to train. We ask them if they wish to devote themselves to RippleClan." Oilstar stared at Icekit and Pearkit as she spoke her next words. "Icekit, Pearkit, you both joined RippleClan under tense circumstances. We didn't expect your birth mother to return, especially not as a SlugClan warrior. I can't continue this ceremony without apologizing to you both. RippleClan killed your father, Achilles, and drove your mother to flee and leave you behind. We have tried to earn your forgiveness, but we cannot keep you here if your heart calls for you to join your mother and sister in SlugClan."
"We want to stay here, Oilstar," Icekit yowled, nearly interuppting Oilstar. "I don't care how I ended up here. This is my home." A few cats cheered at Icekit's proud declaration, Lavendertwist among them. Waspdawn touched his nose to Puddlewhisper's pelt, pressing congratulations through her skin.
"Pearkit, you share this perspective?" Oilstar asked.
"Yes," Pearkit said. Her voice collapsed under her with another, louder cheer from RippleClan.
"Save the cheers for later!" Oilstar laughed as Icekit and Pearkit squirmed under the attention. "We have a ceremony to conduct! Usually I learn what path a kit's paws call them down before we gather, but there were other matters to settle. Icekit, Pearkit, what do you want to train as?"
"I want to be a teacher!" Icekit declared just as Pearkit tried to talk. "It's such a new role. I want the other Clans to have teachers too!"
"I want to know how the world works," Pearkit quickly added. "Can I train as a historian?"
"I have the perfect mentors for both of you," Oilstar purred. "Icekit, Pearkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. Icekit, Pearkit, until you earn your full names, you shall be known as Icepaw and Pearpaw." Icepaw and Pearpaw seemed to glow with the power of their new names. "Icepaw, you will be apprenticed under Shrewflame."
"I get an apprentice!" Shrewflame shoved through the crowd, his whole body vibrating and his paws suspiciously stained with orange paint. Wildclaw hid a chuckle as Shrewflame touched his nose to Icepaw's.
"Pearpaw, you will be apprenticed under Whiteflower," Oilstar declared. Whiteflower left the crowd with far more grace than his older brother. He too had orange paint on his white paws.
"I'll do my best," Whiteflower purred as he touched noses with Pearpaw.
"Icepaw! Pearpaw! Icepaw! Pearpaw!" RippleClan cried. Puddlewhisper cheered from the bottom of her lungs.
"Let's tour the territory before the artisans realized we touched their paint supplies," Shrewflame whispered, nudging Icepaw along.
"We'll see you soon, Mom!" Pearpaw cheered as she and Whiteflower hurried after their brothers. They streaked ahead of the pair and managed to get out of camp first. Puddlewhisper waved goodbye as the Clan dissolved into relieved chuckles and grateful purrs. They were gaining two apprentices rather than losing two kits that day.
"Puddlewhisper!" As the Clan set about their duties for the day, Oilstar hopped off the Shiprock and joined Puddlewhisper and her littermates. "I need you to take Venturedapple and Wolfgaze to the border. SlugClan's expecting a patrol."
"Oilstar, Puddlewhisper shouldn't go," Waspdawn huffed, flicking his ear to catch the leader's attention. "She's Icepaw and Pearpaw's mother. SlugClan will be furious with her. Let me lead the patrol."
"Lettucestar wants this handled as much as we do," Oilstar sighed, shaking her head. "I want Puddlewhisper to face SlugClan so we all can have good relations again. They shouldn't see Puddlewhisper as a kit thief, and we shouldn't hide her like one."
"Not to doubt Puddlewhisper," Lavendertwist added, scratching an itch under his collar, "but maybe the three of us can at least come with? I don't really trust SlugClan to handle this well."
"They might behave better with a mediator around, too," Paleseed pointed out.
"If you're all so nervous about it," Oilstar said, "you can go with. Just don't make this seem like a war patrol, please? We've had enough injuries from the other Clans lately."
With a few quick stretches and a call to Venturedapple and Wolfgaze, Puddlewhisper's patrol was off for the border. As they left camp, Puddlewhisper spotted her kits and their mentors lingering along the southern coast. They splashed in the shallow salt water, laughing like kits. Puddlewhisper's heart warmed. Perhaps young mentors would make Icepaw and Pearpaw's lives feel a bit more normal. They deserved normalcy.
"They fell in a heap to claw the mud," Lavendertwist sang as the patrol pressed through the bright green forest, "that dyed their muzzles and pelts in rud, tunnelled until the ground bore blood, with all the blowflies swarming."
"Are you really singing 'Quiet Jaypaw' on a day like this?" Waspdawn sighed, unable to hide a hint of mild amusement despite how he shook his head.
"'Quiet Jaypaw'?" Venturedapple muttered from the back of the patrol.
"A creepy song about a roguehearted apprentice," Puddlewhisper hummed.
"Silverpaw used to love that song!" Wolfgaze laughed, jogging up to Lavendertwist's side.
"Ripplefern and I learned it from a SlugClan apprentice when we were young," Lavendertwist chuckled. "It feels like… the right song for the moment. You remember the main part, Wolfgaze?"
"Where, o where is quiet Jaypaw?" Wolfgaze sang, lacking the same skilled voice as Lavendertwist but sharing in the heart of the song. "Quiet Jaypaw can't be saved."
"Where, o where is quiet Jaypaw?" Lavendertwist joined Wolfgaze in the song. "Quiet Jaypaw, quiet grave." Lavendertwist and Wolfgaze laughed as they finished, earning an eyeroll from Venturedapple and a hidden purr from Waspdawn. Puddlewhisper hummed the melody under her breath, yet her gut twinged. Would she want the bearers of bad news approaching a meeting like this in song? Yet as Lavendertwist started the next verse, he glanced at Puddlewhisper, hesitating through the first line. Ah. So that was the reason.
"Poked at the grave 'til it bared its bones," Puddlewhisper hummed along with the two singers, "it bared its bones, it bared its bones, it bared its bones, poked at the grave 'til it bared its bones, the crows call out their warning."
"Finches and warblers, gray catbirds," Paleseed joined in, "With twisted beaks and eyes all blurred, feathers as red as a fox's fur—"
"Savage and painted and warring," Waspdawn muttered. Lavendertwist, Wolgaze, and Paleseed cheered at Waspdawn's voice. Puddlewhisper decided she would have to teach her kits that song. The chorus replaced Puddlewhisper's dread as the patrol (sans Venturedapple, who stared bug-eyed and confused) trekked through the brightening forest.
The patrol beat SlugClan to the border where RippleClan, WheatClan, and AshClan met, but only by a little. Puddlewhisper barely had time to find a sundappled rock to rest upon before shapes slipped through the trees. Lighttrail was at the front, with one of SlugClan's mediators at his side. But the molly everyone expected and dreaded to see plunged past them, blue eyes sparkling.
"Are they here?" Nimblestep gulped, skidding to a stop at the edge of RippleClan territory. She scanned the large patrol, but her ears dipped lower and lower as she saw no small bodies in the crowd.
"Icepaw and Pearpaw," Waspdawn sighed, clearing his throat, "have decided to stay in RippleClan." Nimblestep contnued to search the patrol, but her face fell further and further.
"I can't say I'm surprised," Lighttrail muttered.
"They are still looking forward to meeting you, Nimblestep," Paleseed quickly interjected, trying to catch Nimblestep's fluttering attention. "They can explain their perspectives at the Gathering."
"What do I tell Quickpaw?" Nimblestep gulped. Her wide eyes focused on Puddlewhisper, who sat calmly in the center of the RippleClan patrol. "What did you tell them about me?"
"They know you care," Puddlewhisper said, picking her words carefully. "You still hurt them, though." Puddlewhisper risked moving closer as Nimblestep's breathing tightened. "You left them for dead, and made them fear for their lives with that patrol. I'm sorry, but you'll have to live with that."
"None of this would have happened if RippleClan weren't a group of foxhearts!" Nimblestep hissed. "You caused this! You took my family from me!"
It was simple hopefulness that kept Puddlewhisper so close to Nimblestep as the brown molly's lips curled and her claws glinted in the dappled morning light. But it was the echo of her words that kept Puddlewhisper from running as Nimblestep pounced on her. Her fangs instantly sunk into Puddlewhisper's tail, as though trying to bite straight through.
"Nimblestep, stop!" Lighttrail barked as every cat, SlugClan and RippleClan, converged on the furious mother. As Puddlewhisper tried to save her tail, however, Nimblestep's furious shaking stopped. Her jaw froze around Puddlewhisper's tail, still digging into her skin, blood still blooming around her fangs, but no longer applying active pressure. She wasn't even breathing. As Puddlewhisper suspected, Wolfgaze stood behind her, green eyes burning with star-given power. Puddlewhisper's body went numb as she looked into Wolfgaze's eyes.
"So this is the Rule of Three in action," Lighttrail muttered, backing away from Nimblestep, eyes locked on Wolfgaze. Waspdawn and Lavendertwist pried Nimblestep's frozen mouth off Puddlewhisper's tail. Puddlewhisper scrambled back, her blood burning. Paleseed swooped around her sister and groomed her pulsing wound. Waspdawn and Lavendertwist shoved Nimblestep back over the border. Wolfgaze broke her supernatural connection. Nimblestep's wide jaw snapped shut on empty air. She startled, tumbling back into the SlugClan mediator.
"Go home, now," Waspdawn growled. "The apprentices made their decision. That's the end of it." Waspdawn joined Puddlewhisper as Paleseed helped her to her paws. Puddlewhisper cradled her numb tail to her side.
"You are witches," Nimblestep hissed as Lighttrail pushed her back toward SlugClan. "Achilles was right. RippleClan is full of witches! This is all your fault!" Another strong shove from Lighttrail silenced the grieving mother. The small SlugClan patrol stumbled back to their territory, prizeless.
"I knew this was a bad idea," Lavendertwist muttered, glaring at the retreating cats.
"Let's get Puddlewhisper to the clerics," Venturedapple said, quietly taking the lead back home.
"Don't tell my kits yet," Puddlewhisper hissed through gritted teeth. "Let them enjoy their first day out of camp."
"StarClan knows what sort of wicked thoughts Nimblestep would have taught those kits," Wolfgaze grumbled as the patrol followed Venturedapple. Puddlewhisper focused her energy on the pain in her tail, but her thoughts still spun. Cruel or not, just or not, Nimblestep was right.
RippleClan destroyed her family.
(Puddlewhisper: 62, trans female, codekeeper, righteous, keen eye, ghost sense)
(Paleseed: 62, female, mediator, insecure, incredible runner, steady paws)
(Pearpaw: 6, female, historian apprentice, righteous, moss-ball hunter, lover of stories)
(Icepaw: 6, male, teacher apprentice, fierce, oddly observant, never sits still)
(Oilstar: 100, female, leader, charismatic, ghost speaker)
(Shrewflame: 20, male, teacher, loyal, fast as the wind)
(Whiteflower: 13, male, historian, faithful, great kitsitter)
(Waspdawn: 62, male, codekeeper, strict, learner of lore, clue finder)
(Lavendertwist: 62, male, historian, playful, great singer, good storyteller)
(Venturedapple: 84, male, codekeeper, cold, eloquent speaker)
(Wolfgaze: 31, female, codekeeper, thoughtful, connection to StarClan, great speaker)
Dovepaw gets to train as a warrior under Wolverineheart. Scaleripple takes all the new apprentices training and discovers he really likes teaching. He asks Thundergale and Shrewflame to help him be a teacher.
[Image ID: Scaleripple guides Pearpaw, Icepaw, and Dovepaw (now in a tall apprentice sprite) through a hunter's crouch. Under Dovepaw, it says LEVEL UP! DOVEKIT → DOVEPAW, IMPULSIVE → OBLIVIOUS. Scaleripple says, "Crouch like this…" Under him, it says LEVEL UP! FORMIDABLE FIGHTER → UNUSUALLY STRONG FIGHTER.]
(Pearpaw: 6, female, historian apprentice, righteous, moss-ball hunter, lover of stories)
(Icepaw: 6, male, teacher apprentice, fierce, oddly observant, never sits still)
(Dovepaw: 6, male, warrior apprentice, oblivious, active imagination)
(Scaleripple: 49, male, teacher, lonesome, unusually strong fighter)

Saturday after showing up with a suspicious amount of Darkbane traits, appearing for 2 episodes, and then disappearing without elaborating:

Elaborating on/yapping about the "Darkbane Saturday theory"
(also keep in mind that Nacho will be used as a basis for classifying a lot of these as "Darkbane traits" because we don't really have any other disguised Darkbane to base it on)
Canon evidence (basically anything from the show or his official character description)
The eyes - Just like Nacho, Saturday has the black eyes with red pupils.
The ears - Saturday has pointy ears, which are also a common Darkbane feature.
The white/pale markings - While one could assume these are paint, it is worth noting that Saturday slides across the floor in both Dawn of the Slug and Mission: Improbable yet it remains perfectly intact despite the friction and assuming they are not paint, paleness is a known side effect of dark energy exposure in humans (ie: the emperor and Dr Blakk) additionally, Nacho's human form is also quite pale.
Association with dark slug energy - Saturday's character description on the wiki which was originally sourced from the old official Slugterra site states that he has been rumoured to be experimenting with "dark slug magic" though what that actually means remains unclear.
Bonus/non-canon evidence (basically just some extra stuff from Slug It Out 1)
sharp teeth - Saturday's SIO1 sprite, and his appearances in cutscenes portray him as having some visibly sharper than normal teeth though this does not seem to apply to all of them.
he's in the Deep Caverns - In the optional Deep Caverns slug seeker campaign, Saturday appears as an enemy making him the only non-confirmed Darkbane/Deep Caverns monster to appear in the campaign
(photo evidence aka a direct screenshot from SIO1)

is all of this a coincidence? Probably. Is that enough to stop me from overthinking it? Absolutely not.
#slugterra#but that's just a theory... A SLUG THEORY!!!#my personal guess is he is part Darkbane and doesn't know it

Project Squealer BIG REVEAL
Calling all mystery buffs, adventure seekers, and gumshoe wannabes!
I am developing MY OWN INDIE GAME under the working title PROJECT SQUEALER! In this action-packed adventure RPG game, a disease called Laughter Pox has plagued the town, and it's up to three kid detectives to investigate!
These days, I'm mostly known for making mods for The Sims 4, but I've been interested in game development as far back as 2009. In fact, I originally bought The Sims 3 for PC back in 2012 as a tool to plan out characters and worlds, before becoming hooked on the gameplay. For a long time, The Sims was my main creative outlet, but I was still coming up with game ideas in the background.
Skip ahead to mid 2016: while playing with my Go to School mod, I needed to create some child characters to fill the school with. I created two rival teams of kid detectives, and came up backstories and mysteries for them to solve. I ended up liking these characters far more than any other characters I had created. They felt like my creative masterpiece, begging for something bigger than just creations made in a character creator.
That's when "Project Squealer" started brewing in my brain. This indie RPG wasn't just some vague idea; I was developing full-blown stories, environments, and gameplay planned for my kid detectives. I also had the perfect art style in my head. Emphasis on in my head.
Turns out, bringing my dream art style to life was way harder than I thought. So hard, in fact, that I spent the next few years learning how to create art. It took until 2020 to finally have character and environment art that could (almost) pass for pro-level game stuff. Not only that, the project was undergoing what indie devs refer to as scope creep. I kept adding more and more ideas to the design doc, making the game more complex and pushing the release date even further into the future. In 2018, I even decided to move from 2D to 3D, and switched engines from MonoGame to Unity (and later to Unreal Engine 5 in 2023).
Now, it's 2024, and I'm finally, finally ready to announce what I've been working on for the past 6 years!
Project Squealer is the working title for my own indie game about a team of three kid detectives: Orlo (middle), Von (left) and Zoros (right). Together, they go on adventures and solve mysteries… or at least they would, if they weren't constantly having their business stolen by a rival detective team.
In this action-packed adventure game, a mysterious disease known as Laughter Pox has plagued the town, causing people to laugh hysterically. Where is it coming from? How can it be cured? It's up to our detectives to find out! If they can convince others to trust them with such an important mission, that is!
Project Squealer uses a hybrid of 2D and 3D graphics to create a 2D cartoon look with full 3D movement. Characters and some organic objects are 2D sprites that move with the camera. Most environments, objects and buildings are 3D, but have texture-based outlines to give it a 2D look.
The game features a variety of different quests, characters, abilities, enemies, locations, weapons and items. In addition to the main storyline, you can help out NPCs by performing "errands" for them, which will unlock cool rewards and even side missions.
Unlike many RPG games, Project Squealer won't include a character level system, because I want the player to be able to progress using their own skill, not by grinding levels. One of the game's main design philosophies is that there are few, if any, permanent upgrades. Weapons will eventually break, status effects that make your stronger will eventually expire, etc.
Project Squealer is still in relatively early development. I plan to post more information, screenshots, and eventually even videos, as it gets closer to release. Follow my Twitter for quicker updates: https://twitter.com/ZerbuTabek
Your support and feedback is welcome, and will help improve the game!

Down The Buneary Hole Of The Team Fauna Cult
—
Team fauna is a proclaimed religious group, founded and formed by a man under the name of Wolf Fauna and located in a cavern outside of Olivine City, Johto. This group claims that the world depicted in the hit franchise Animals is real, and that ours is a false reality.
Seemingly innocent on the surface, Team fauna claims to wish to bring people towards enlightenment, all all while they "simply wish to live the way Fauna intended," specifically out of their way to state "We commit no crimes, harm nothing and no one."
Despite these claims to innocence, a further look into the actions and practices of this organization reveals a twisted world of kidnapping, abuse, brainwashing, and manipulation. This work hopes to shine light on the inner workings of Team Fauna and the recent events surrounding it.
Team Fauna pushed itself into the public eye on January 30th, as a strange invitation spread itself to many users of the website Rotumblr, reading as follows:
"Are you a seeker of the truth?
If you're receiving this message we believe you are.
Have you ever truly considered the convinces of this world, or are you still asleep
What if you had a change to escape it all, to live a real life, instead of the one you have taken.
You could reach fulfilment. Happiness. Many have.
With us you will know the truth.
To continue living in the dark is a common choice, but you may be one of the few who deviate.
We await your response with anticipation
Team Fauna"
February 1st, Team Fauna made their own blog on Rotumblr. Following this decision, many allegations arose soon after, many noticing hidden cries for help in the anonymous moderator's replies to inquiries, and eventually, a photo of a Galvantula in highly abusive conditions was uploaded, which was quickly connected to Team Fauna.
These incidents are what sparked a deeper investigation of the group; starting at Olivine City, the closest city to their alleged location. Many missing persons, primarily those reported to have gone hiking in the nearby routes, were reported, their missing posters strewn around the city.
Team Fauna itself resided in a cave and its surrounding woods far off the beaten path near Olivine City. Upon joining their group, it appears that many, if not all new members are asked to leave any partner Pokemon they may have behind prior to joining. This leaves new members far less likely to be able to confront any of the designated "guards" of the team, who are granted access to far more powerful Pokemon than other members.
Furthermore, upon initiation into this group, your name will be replaced, as you're instead given the name of one of the creatures from Animals. This makes it difficult to identify most members, as their names cannot be connected to any legal records.
Connection to the outside world is limited, if not entirely restricted. Many children are born into the cult, isolated from any sort of opposition to Team Fauna's ideals. It is unlikely that these children have legal documentation such as birth certificates.
However, the investigation goes deeper yet.
February 5th, A 17-year old named Sprite Chroma is incapacitated and kidnapped by members of Team Fauna. A bonfire is lit by Wolf Fauna, a celebration begins, and after the so-called festivities, a meeting is called.
During this meeting, Team Fauna's leader announced plans to open a cross-dimensional portal to their desired reality. Sprite Chroma is dragged in front of the crowd, and Wolf announces that he would be the first to cross through to the new world they all desired.
Over the next 15 hours, preparations were made for the ritual that would be performed soon. A member of Team Fauna took custody of the victim's phone in order to impersonate it to its friends and family.
Hour 15. 11 AM. "The last day in this world," as it was put by many in the cult. The ritual is prepared, Sprite dragged out of their cell for a second time. Wolf Fauna exits his cabin, bringing along a covered cage. As the ritual is set into action, the cloth is pulled, revealing that Team Fauna had not only found, but captured a Celebi, an elusive Mythical pokemon revered across Johto.
Celebi is forced to open a portal, but the plan goes awry. not long after the victim is forced inside, they are seemingly rejected, being spat back out, and destabilizing the portal, causing it to disappear.
Minutes after, the meeting is invaded. Many of Team Fauna's members escaped in the chaos, although it appears that the majority of the hostages and stolen Pokemon have been recovered.
As of now, the whereabouts of Wolf Fauna and other prominent members of Team Fauna are unknown. It is more than likely that they will regroup if given the time. Evidence strongly suggests that if left unchecked, the Team Fauna cult could very likely reach levels of danger comparable to that of Team Plasma or Team Galactic. We cannot let history repeat itself once again.
The author of the article appears to be remaining anonymous, save for the name "Lotus I."

Alright, a quick round up of what I published last month!
Oneshots and drabble series:
The Inexplicable Legend of Saffron Chastity McGrates: In which Brockton Bay is introduced to a CPS agent that actually wants to Protect Children, and will face down all Worm's grimdarkness to do it.
Seeker and Sprite: Manifestation 1.3: Vicky triggered late, Taylor triggered early, and it turns out they're a cluster. In this chapter, Vicky hears that Taylor's woken up...
Taylor Altpower: Droidworks: Instead of controlling bugs, Taylor makes Star Wars droids. How does this affect the plot?
General Grievous Saves The World, much to the surprise of everyone, especially General Grievous: Because Earth Bet is in such a terrible state that even the murderous cyborg jedi killer is an improvement.
Maddeningly Sane: What happens when a character gets so traumatized that they come down with a case of common sense?
Taylor Altpower: Raven Friends: Taylor befriends ravens. She doesn't control them, she just befriends them. Might not even be a parahuman. How does that change the plot of Worm?
Inibarrana: Artavaita: What if... Bionicle was in Star Wars? (Yes that's right, no Worm this time!)
And then I also published the first five chapters of Vista of the Stars, wherein Vista mysteriously arrives on Ryloth, which is sure to not cause any ripples in the Star Wars timeline. I mean, what can one space-warping little girl actually do to change things, right?
Anyway, here is your reminder that writers are artists too, and artists need support! Here is my Patreon if you want to support me long term, and here is my ko-fi if you want to support me short term. I really depend on this for... basically all my income.
#fanfiction#Star Wars#Worm#Bionicle#The Inexplicable Legend of Saffron Chastity McGrates#Seeker and Sprite#Taylor Altpower#General Grievous Saves The World#Inibarrana Artivaita#The more patrons I get the more I can focus on quality over quantity#but I could also use a little more grocery money this month!

Skydiver once again went to the destroyed part of the moon base, but not to train. Not today. Today he wanted to make a new friend. And he wanted to do it through the best thing he knew. Food.
Skydiver smuggled tons of energon sweets from Cybertron when he and were sent to the moon base. He originally wanted to give them to Starscream, but never had the time for it. So he took most of them with him to the destroyed part to give to Apprentice and hopefully befriend him.
He reached the doorframe and leaned from behind it to see if the young bot was there. When he saw him on the edge looking at the blue orb in the distance, he slowly crept in and sat down next to him.
"Hey..." he started, "I, uh... I noticed you really liked energon jelly...so I brought you some energon sweets...", he smiled, trying to make a good second impression. "They were originally for someone else...but I don't think I'll ever be able to give them to him..." He placed a big metal box between them. It was half full of star shaped boxes with energon sweets. "Sorry that they're spark shaped... I didn't mean it that way..." he looked away, embarrassed.
(fun fact: did you know that energon actually tasted like sprite? I believe that it was said by the creators of Tfone, but I'm not sure. And as a headcannon the energon sweets taste like sprite, cuz it would be funny if transformers thought that sprite was sweet, while a victorian child would die from the bitterness-
Also another headcannon; since sparks are the metaphorical souls and literal hearts of transformers, then a heart shaped energon sweets box would actually be a star shape.)
The other mech was in his usual spot, sitting apoun the non-functional control panel in the silence of space. He did have a small cube of energon already with him but it was half finished and he was just staring at it. Apprentice was lost in thought at the time so he didn't even notice the other until he sat down right next to him and started talking.
When he heard the voice, apprentice jolted in surprise. he didn't expect company, but he quickly collected himself and looked at the seeker. He fixed his bad posture like megs told him to do and tried to seem more formal when addressing others. He heard the other out and tilted his head at the mentioning of energon sweets. He hadn't heard of them before but they sounded good and was eager to try them.
When the other produced the box and placed it between them he'd look at the assortment of colored goodies. They looked like cute little desserts.
"These are for me?"
He was surprised that another decepticon would be nice to him, especially since the others didn't quite trust him yet. It would be a long road for him to understand everyone but atleast someone was trying.
He was curious as to who these would've originally went to, but he wasn't nosy and would leave personal business alone. Luckily, due to his lack of knowledge about cybertronian customs, apprentice would not understand the meaning behind the star shaped goodies. He would merely think of them as cute little snacks.
Apprentice would pick one of the goodies up and try one, soon finding out that they tasted similar to an earth beverage called sprite. The taste threw him in for a loop but it honestly wasn't a bad one. It was unexpected, sure but he already preferred these over regular energon.
"Mmmm. I've never had these before, but they're really good! They taste even better than the energon we have here at the base. Thank you for sharing them with me!"
Apprentice would give him a soft smile, it was obvious that he appreciated the gift. Even though he may look like megatron, and is being trained by him, this new bot seemed to be much different than him. It was unclear if megs strict training would eventually change him, but right now he seemed like a reasonable mech.
As for the treats though, apprentice will definitely have to conserve these because he doesn't know when more will come his way.

What is Cheddartower?
I'm guessing people are wondering what this whole complete band of Pizza Tower OCs collectively making up an entire AU is all about, so I hope some of you all were looking forward to a recap/summary of sorts!
Cheddartower is a Pizza Tower OC-centric AU created by Dolphboi!
This AU is mainly humor-themed like the original game, but tries to find a fair balance to the silliness with either hype moments/aura, but also tries to mix in some dark, sometimes even unnerving themes and moments within, mostly being portrayed through game-accurate sprite art.
While the story isn't convoluted, or does the lore run that deep, there might be a little something for everyone.
PREMISE
Cheddar, a princess driven to madness similar to that of a ravenous beast thanks to a cycle of repeatedly being kidnapped, held prisoner, and saved by knights, lives within the walls of the Gouda Kingdom with her two cohorts in entertainment, Macaratte and Roune, the jester and her sentient ball harboring the might of a wrecking ball rather than the usual buoyant beach ball.
One day, the three of them are greeted by Pizzaface, who threatens to destroy her kingdom unless she meets him at the top of the Pizza Tower itself to be his bride. Enraged by this, Cheddar uses the opportunity of finally fighting on her own merits to scale the tower's floors not in accordance to Pizzaface's proposal, but rather tear him to shreds.
But is Pizzaface really as he seems..?
MAIN CAST
Princess Cheddar - The princess in her late-20s driven to a raptor-like, bloodthirsty frenzy over always being kidnapped and rescued in a cycle, becoming the warped, illogical extreme of a tomboy. Whether it be running on all fours and foaming at the mouth, or spinning into a mad cyclone, her mach-speeding is no laughing matter.
Mac & Roune - The "Gustavo & Brick" of the AU, this duo of an anxious, yet short-tempered jester and a mighty, yet reckless and belligerent ball serve as Cheddar's sidekicks, confronting the tower's goons by either curling up like a coward or asserting their dominance.
Tori Mato - An honorable samurai whose apple farm was ransacked of all its crops, targeting Cheddar as a result of Pizzaface falsely framing her as the criminal. She's only the first "key guardian" of the tower on Cheddar's route.
Crayle the witch - One of the main reasons why Cheddar is the feral nightmare she is today, Crayle is such a chaotic nuisance that she pridefully dons the title of "The Opinion Basher, but also The Attention Seeker". Cheddar had to put up with this giving her several curses on each birthday of hers for TWELVE YEARS. And yet, she's only the second of the key guardians.
Queen Burgge - Possibly the most VILE of the cast, outclassing Pizzaface even, Burgge is a tyrannical burger queen who decided to partner up with him to take down Cheddar and her kingdom, though little does he know, she might backstab him and take over instead. Unfortunately for him, however, Burgge is also a fan of food-on-food cannibalism. She's the third key guardian as well as the true main antagonist of the whole AU.
Mecharella - The "Fake" of the AU, Mecharella was made as a high-ranking model of the Mecha-Cheddars and Cheddar-bots to serve as an outright successor to the original princess. As time went on, the self-discovery of her capacity for free will and harboring a soul led her to become more than just a drone, which will lead to her becoming her adoptive twin sister when the tower eventually falls. The fourth and final key guardian of the bunch.
#pizza tower#pizza tower oc#pizza tower ocs#pizza tower au#princess cheddar#I know there are posts explaining AUs like this so I hope I answered some questions a few people had lol#Yes I made an entire cast from the ground up for this haha-

2023
Three clarifications: 1) all my opinions are completely subjective and based entirely on my feelings, 2) I definitely left out a lot of what I wanted to write, and I will probably remember it after the New Year lol 3) The Sign wins all the best categories, BUT the series isn't over yet. I included it in my list anyway (I also included Twins)
Unfortunately, 2023 is me continuing the trend started in 2022, i.e. dropping the series, sometimes even just before the finale. There are about 35 series I dropped this year (!!!!!). Some of them I literally stopped watching the moment MLs appeared on the screen, like Dinosaur Love. Sorry but nope. Why is this happening? Perhaps because of the huge number of series. Before, I watched everything, even the worst productions, because I simply had no choice. Now there are so many new series, also so many great older series that I can come back to with pleasure, that I don't regret dropping something, that in the past I would have forced myself to watch until the end. Life is too short to waste it on mid series 🤷♀️
My list:
Perfect relationships: Our Dating Sim, Jun&Jun, The 8th Sense, Love in Translation, MickTop - My Universe, The Sign, Twins, Our Dining Table, Sing My Crush, um, Destiny Seeker 😄
Perfect relationships minus this one thing (usually an awkward kiss, sorry, this is very important to me): Unitentional Love Story, Laws of Attraction. WHY. These are not Sotus times, it's 2023, there are no excuses, learn to kiss, it's the easiest thing to DO
Many series disappointed me, but most of all, the one in which I had such great hopes: Chains Of Heart, come ON, this series had EVERYTHING to become one of the best series this year!!
Characters most harmed by the plot: Boston and Babe. I will also never forgive Between Us for what they did to the most awesome couple ever: WinTeam
Interesting series that pleasantly surprised me with how different and unique they are: Be My Favorite, Bake Me Please
Series that I have watched until the end, that are a complete waste of time and that I have bad memories of: Step by Step and La Puie
Characters that were just plain awful and that I would avoid in real life: first and foremost, of course, that EUN JI bitch and Tae Hyung (The Eighth Sense) also Sangin (Sing My Crush), practically everyone from Only Friends, Phat and Saengtai (La Pluie), Pat (SBS), Wen (Moonlight Chicken), Charlie. I'm not writing about terrible parents, there were a lot of them this year
The craziest series I've watched anyway: Till The World Ends 🥳
It's been a year of shows about workplace romance, but only a few managed to portray it in a good, even cute way without creepy power imbalance: Jun&Jun, ODS, Love in Translation, probably Cherry Magic (still airing)
New stars✨ that rocked my 💖: Daou (LiT), Babe (The Sign), Frame (Twins), Guide (IFYLIA, Bake Me Please) and Mark Pakin, my king 👑
My obsessions this year: Jae Won (The 8th Sense), Charn (LoA), Yang (Love in Translation), Im Han Tae (Sing My Crush), Sprite, THARN and Phaya. Overall, 2023 was full of characters who were a wonderful mix of pathetic and crazy in love and who made me feel like 🥺😍😭🥳. These were the men (and boys) mentioned above, but also Yoon Tae Joon (Unintentional Love Story), Cheng (Chains of Heart), Pisaeng (BMF), Tinn (My School President), Mick (My Universe). I love all of them 💖
Hot guys 🔥: ok, there were a lot of them this year, but definitely Chi Jun (Jun&Jun), Yang (LiT), Im Han Tae (SMC), Palm (NLMG), Songkhram (Destiny Seeker), Way and Alan (Pit Babe), Yoon Tae Joon (Unintentional Love Story), Mark Pakin in all his roles, obviously Tharn and Phaya ✨
Characters that I always look at with fondness, that I watched with real pleasure,, who brought only high-quality content and made this year better for me: Tharn, Phaya and their friends (YAI), Tinn, Charn and their friends (NAWIN and the girls), Mick (MU), main couples from SMC, Jun & Jun, ODC and LiT, Our Dining Table, Yoon Tae Joon (Unintentional Love Story), MR. TIWSON 👑, Peach, Sprite (every time I write the names Peach and Sprite I crave a fruity drink 🍹)
Hottest scenes 🔥: everything that is happening in the PhayaTharn universe so far, and
With so many series from Thailand, surprisingly few made a huge impression on me, the same in the case of characters or couples that I was obsessed with and which I would happily rewatch many times. I was even more surprised by Korea, which, with an incomparably smaller number of series, still created real gems, fantastic couples and interesting, liked characters. It was Korea that gave me probably the most interesting character this year: Jae Won. Although Thailand shot a Tharn-shaped arrow straight into my heart at the very end of the year 💘
It was a very good year, hope 2024 will be even better. What I wish for myself and all of you, my lovely jellyfish bolsters 😘😘😘😘😘
I wanted to thank everyone here for being so awesome this year, everyone who wrote great reviews and funny posts and notes, everyone who worked hard to gif the best scenes and who promoted the series fiercely. I watched many of my favorite series only thanks to your gifs. I love you all so much, you are the best! 🥰

Heading off to Hoenn to do a little watch party with @ladyzee-oddityhunter and @dusknoir-uncle. The unreleased second season of Spirit Seekers is apparently something Thyme still has on DVD and we wanted to give it a look! Also it'll be nice to spend a little time out of the City I think.
Since it's Hoenn, and particularly Lilycove I can't go out there without being a bit covert so...

Not really sure this is a look I'd stick with. But I guess that makes it a good disguise. Placeholder helped me with the sprite edit. When I asked him how he thought it looked he just gave me a "👍" so I assume it's OK.
I'm really not sure if he's messing with me or not sometimes...
