A little about me!
I'm learning to code through multiple means and websites, and I'm currently focusing on:
*HTML, CSS & Javascript (Harnessing those basics for Web dev) *Python (For my 8 month course that starts in January) In the near future, I hope to learn C#, so I can look into .ASP NET too! I'm hoping to become a junior Software Engineer or Developer this time next year.
I have a couple of side hobbies, learning the violin takes place over at @viowlett. I've recently started that and hope learning coding and violin side by side will keep my brain busy!

Can You Learn to Sew Online? A Comprehensive Look at Your Options with ONSA
At ONSA - Online Sewing Academy, the world of stitching and garment construction should be accessible to everyone, regardless of location or schedule. In today's digital age, online learning has revolutionized how we acquire new skills, making it possible to master intricate crafts like sewing from the comfort of our homes. But can you truly become an expert stitcher through virtual classes alone? Let's explore the options available and how ONSA empowers you to embark on an enriching sewing journey.
The Beauty of Pre-Recorded Video Lessons
Ah, the world of pre-recorded tutorials - a treasure trove of knowledge at your fingertips! ONSA's extensive library of meticulously crafted video lessons offers a comprehensive exploration of sewing techniques, from the fundamentals of threading a needle to the intricacies of advanced garment construction. One of the most significant advantages of this format is the ability to learn at your own pace, rewinding and revisiting lessons as many times as needed until each stitch and seam becomes second nature.
Our pre-recorded videos are thoughtfully designed to cater to diverse learning styles, combining visual demonstrations with clear, concise explanations. Whether you're a visual learner who thrives on observing each step or an auditory learner who appreciates detailed verbal guidance, our lessons ensure that no aspect of the sewing process is left unexplained.
While budget-friendly and convenient, we understand that pre-recorded content may lack the human interaction that many pupils crave – the ability to ask questions, receive real-time feedback, and benefit from the personalized attention of an experienced instructor. This is where our live, interactive classes come into play.
The Magic of Live, Interactive Classes
Imagine having a seasoned ONSA instructor by your virtual side, guiding you through the intricate sewing world with patience and expertise. Our live, online classes provide an immersive, interactive experience replicating the intimacy of a physical classroom setting. Through video conferencing technology, you can follow along with your instructor, ask questions as they arise, and receive real-time feedback on your technique.
One of the most significant advantages of live classes at ONSA is the ability to learn at a pace that suits your individual needs. Our instructors are adept at adapting their teaching methods to accommodate varying skill levels, ensuring that every student feels included and supported. Whether you're a complete novice taking your first tentative stitches or a skilled stitcher seeking to elevate your art, our talented teachers can customize lesson plans to align with your unique goals and aspirations.
From mastering the art of inserting invisible zippers to acquiring advanced draping skills for haute couture designs, our live classes cover various topics, catering to hobbyists and aspiring professionals. Private one-on-one sessions and small group workshops provide ample opportunity for personalized guidance, fostering an environment where questions are welcomed, and challenges are addressed with patience and expertise.
The ONSA Edge: A Holistic Approach to Sewing Education
At ONSA, we understand that sewing is more than just a practical skill – it's an art form that combines technical precision with creative expression. Our approach to online sewing education is rooted in this philosophy, nurturing both the technical and artistic aspects of this timeless craft.
Our team of expert instructors, each with years of industry experience and a passion for teaching, has thoughtfully crafted a multifaceted curriculum that covers the entire spectrum of sewing, from understanding fabric properties and pattern drafting to mastering advanced construction techniques and exploring fashion design principles.
By combining our comprehensive library of pre-recorded video resources with live, interactive sessions, ONSA provides a 360-degree learning experience tailored to your schedule, skillset, and aspirations. Whether you prefer the convenience of self-paced learning or thrive on the dynamic energy of a virtual classroom, our blend of educational formats ensures that your sewing journey is enriching, engaging, and tailored to your unique needs.
Beyond the technical aspects of sewing, ONSA also emphasizes the importance of nurturing creativity and self-expression. Our lessons encourage students to experiment with fabric choices, color combinations, and design elements, fostering an environment where individuality is celebrated and personal style is cultivated.
Sewing Mastery: A Journey, Not a Destination
At ONSA, we firmly believe that sewing mastery is a lifelong pursuit, a continuous learning and refinement journey. Our online academy is designed to support you at every stage of this journey, from your first tentative stitches to the creation of intricate, couture-worthy garments.
As you progress through our curriculum, you can participate in virtual sewing circles, where you can connect with fellow stitchers, share your creations, and seek inspiration from a community of like-minded individuals. Our instructors are not just teachers but mentors dedicated to your growth and success, offering guidance and encouragement every step of the way.
Sewing is more than just a hobby – it's a powerful form of self-expression, transforming fabric into wearable art that reflects your unique style and personality. At ONSA, we strive to empower you to unleash your creativity, one stitch at a time, by providing a comprehensive and immersive online learning experience tailored to your needs.

We already got the Minecraft movie, it's called "Let's Actually Play Minecraft Again" by RT "Drift King" Game.
#occasional thoughts#minecraft#minecraft movie#rtgame#rtgame daniel#no but like in all seriousness#i think rt's playthrough truly captures the essence of minecraft#of setting goals because you want to#to do whatever you want in your world at your pace.#to take things slow. that you dont require efficiency if you dont want it#he does what he wants. he discovers things naturally. theres a wonder in that world#of learning how to live in the world instead of taking the world under your control#to slow down and to love. to experience. minecraft is not made just to find the best of the most efficient#but to be self-motivated to do whatever you want#rtgamecrowd#it got me so inspired i wrote a fucking prose poem for this playthrough#he took the time to love the world. to learn about it. and in turn. it loves him too

there are all sort of self-deprecating people with high standards for their niche activities i encounter on tumblr but the ones who really warn me off learning about their hobby the most are serious Dog People involved in the Dog World (constantly in some kind of hideous agony about their dog's tail being slightly too high in a way no casual observer would find possible to perceive). this is surmounted only by Dog People who also have a hobby of Semi-Serious Photography that they seem to have started while trying to get good at photographing the dog. those people can be miserable about the quality of the photograph and the quality of the dog simultaneously while still never making a single complaint over years that im even remotely capable of comprehending
areas where it seems actively self-defeating for your ability to enjoy the activity if you learn too much information about it
#lots of people are frustrated by things they have more technical background in and ability to evaluate than me#but somehow the dog photographers have really made it seem like a guaranteed recipe for disappointment to#learn too much information about either photography or dogs.#ive complained before about the thing where i get like secondhand dog body dysmorphia from this stuff#but i hadn't realized that i also find it pretty grim when they've simultaneously unlocked the ability to be sad about their dogs' unfixabl#physical traits AND their white balance.#they're always lovely-seeming people with pleasant interesting posts about their charming dogs. i wish i could... gift them#my interminable and unwavering ignorance and resulting positive feeling for their pets and creative output#just to try. just as a change of pace.#box opener#by contrast ive only encountered one knitting blogger with the same level of unswervably consistent unhappy self-deprecation#about their own knitting output. and even they aren't *also* publicly miserable about photographs#no idea why this is.

"We are," Doreen replied with a smile, as she began to cut into her catfish. "We briefly considered Florida, I toyed with the notion of us moving into my family's summer home there, but...I just don't think it would work out, us moving there. I'll miss it, and I'll miss my home here in New Orleans, but I think it'll be a fresh start for both of us, we're looking forward to it."
"Have you told anyone else about your engagement?" Susannah asked, as Edward nodded, "My father knows, and Belle knows. Of course we would want both of them at the wedding, but I get the feeling they'd like to do more than that..."
"We're thinking they both may try to follow us out to California," Doreen elaborated. "We don't object to the idea, of course, it's just...surprising, I suppose!
I quite love the idea...Mr. Henshaw has always been so kind to me, and Belle, well...she's more of a mother to me than my own, and so to have them both by our side as we start this new chapter in our lives...it means the world to us."
A softness had crossed Doreen's face upon saying this, and Susannah couldn't help but smile softly, her eyes beginning to glisten a little as she wrung the skirts of her dress, saying, "W-Well...I think it's going to be a-a very packed carriage then, because, w-well..."
At this, Edward's eyes widened, the beginnings of a smile tugging at the corners of his lips as he looked from Susannah to Philippe, asking, "Are you...thinking of moving to California too?"
#((oh absolutely; it's not like she won't get support from the others; because she absolutely will!))#((it's just that she doesn't want them to worry themselves too much about her; least of all her beloved husband))#((and that's probably something else josephine can understand and relate to; not wanting others to worry!))#((i think josephine in her youth would be prone to bottling up her feelings; not dwelling on them in public))#((only really letting it out in private; so as to keep up a relatively tough/self-reliant veneer around others))#((a bit like randall; really! i imagine she learned that doing this got her nowhere; keeping her struggles to herself))#((and so i can imagine her being glad to be someone emily can lean on; someone who knows just how she feels))#((and can help her parse through those mixed feelings she must be dealing with in the night!))#((and randall would absolutely be very appreciative and very touched by his grandmother comforting his wife!))#((seriously; the paces *and* the burkes adore emily; they welcome her with open arms; and i love it!))#((seeing emily have a supportive family surrounding her; supporting her; loving her never fails to make me smile))#((and it really is one of my favorite aspects of the 'family reunion' series!))#outofhatboxes#beatingheart-bride#V:Genderbent

*listening to Sex, Death, and the Infinite Void by Creeper after, essentially, a 30-hour Fatigue Coma™*

sonic and shadow can have one more baby as a treat, but its gonna look kinda like black doom and its name is gonna imply that hes gonna kill king arthur who is sonic,,just how it goes cant change this
do not worry tho, take this drawing of him and his siblings,,so happy
#i think ive kinda formulated their characters in my head#heather is a human who wants to be more and actively goes head to head with other mobians who are much stronger and keeps pace with sonic#they transfer to a human school for high school and she is shocked to learn that human teenagers typically cannot punch or kick down walls#june is a hedgehog whos very chill with human life and loves relaxing and decorating his room like a teenage girl for self care#and shadow also gifts him pastel painted weaponry to display.unloaded.sonic would do unspeakable things to shadow if they had ammo#mordred is more stoic but still a sweetheart and upon learning what the black arms are he tries his best to be what black doom wasnt#if not for the world then because it makes his mom shadow knowing that hes nothing like his grandfather even tho shadow loves him anyway#so cute.anyway yeah merlina says that king arthur will be killed by his son mordred and i think at the end sonic is the true king arthur#and that does not deter my from naming him that no matter how sweet he is#sonadow fankid
